Had three wonderful light meals between us which were all great value and tasted exceptional. Very friendly staff and diners in the cafe. Even able to get a bag of sweets to take away. Would highly recommend to anyone to pop in for refreshments when in the local area.

Great little find on a lovely Spring day! Walked from the Over Water marina along the canal to the top of the locks and then into Audlem for some lunch. Came across the cafe and not disappointed. First time in this cafe which initially makes you feel like you have stepped back in time due to the vintage furnishings. The menu is extensive and some really interesting dishes, which sounded lovely, alongside more usual sandwiches and toasties. My husband had the club sandwich which was packed with a lot of ingredients and he thought it was very good. I opted for American pancakes which were piping hot and very good. Will definitely visit again and will recommend to others. Very good coffee and the cakes and scones also looked very good. Was all very reasonably priced too.

I have lived close to Audlem for over 30 years. I love the old victorian style of the coffee shop with the original shelving and counter display and it has always been the same . Came in to have a bite, ordered drinks and had a browse through the menu. When ordering, waitress said all food was available. Made an order and she instantly said, sorry, no bacon and sausages as the grill is closed as we are actually closing up soon. Uh, she just said all was available? Well, we already got our drinks, so felt rushed to finish them. Please next time mention to people coming in that your kitchen is closed, no worries, we'd understand. We would have gone elsewhere. Now we have left with a bad taste in our mouth (and it wasn't from the food as we did not get any...)

Huge pot of tea for me and instead of a measly cup of coffee as usual the hubby is presented with a cafetière. There was even a pot of hot water so we can top up if necessary. Visited Audlem for a walk along the canal and popped into The Old Priest House for lunch. The tiny sweet shop at the front and the homely dining area at the rear took me back to being a child, to the days before the corporate decor of Costa and their ilk. If you like big open airy coffee shops, this is not the place for you. The pot of tea for 1 was enormous - easily got 3 cups out of it, and I felt completely stuffed after a serving of oatcakes with cheese, bacon, mushrooms and tomatoes. My companion's serving of cheese and onion pie with vegetables was very generous and well received - we both decided nothing further would be needed for the rest of the day. The young girls serving could do with knowing the menu a little better, in order to answer questions, however they were very pleasant and the 'older' (sorry!) lady was very friendly. I'm sure I'll be back.

Dropped in on a Saturday as a halfway stop on a cycle ride from Telford. Lovely friendly welcome, we sat outside as it was a beautiful day on a bench in the lane next to the café which had tables built in to the arms so no balancing plates and cups on laps! Inside it's quaint and pretty, there's a little room with tables at the back and the front of the café is reminiscent of an old sweet shop - well, more than reminiscent, they do actually sell sweets. The coffee was excellent - we shared a pot for two but had three cups each - extra hot water and plenty of milk were provided. Cakes were also top quality. Obviously home-made, none of your mass produced tasteless fare. My fruit cake, a large slice, was really moist and came with a little dish of butter. Less than £7 for two cakes, all that coffee is terrific value, especially considering the top quality. We left extremely well-fed and will definitely return.

Called in at Audlem on the way home from mid Wales, having been unable to find a suitable place to stop for a late lunch on our rural route. We spotted The Old Priest House and were attracted by its cottagey appeal. Expecting a limited choice, even possibly the comment 'sorry you're too late for lunch', we were on the contrary warmly welcomed and told that everything was available from the wide-ranging menu. We were ready for a cuppa, so were delighted by the extremely large teapot! Our food was freshly cooked, delicious and well-presented. Sitting by the window in the front of the shop with a view of Audlem's ancient church, we entertained ourselves by reminiscing over the old fashioned sweets in jars, ranged along the shelves behind an authentic wooden counter. Too full for pudding, we bought several home made cakes to take home instead. A happy surprise ending to our holiday!

A fantastic village bakery with small cafe next door. Fresh bread, cakes, quiches, sandwiches etc as well as fruit and veg. Reasonably priced and great quality.

Long time customer. Consistently great quality food, thoughtfully sourced ingredients and nicely put together. Great drinks selection. Kids meals are no fuss, they’ll do anything on the menu as a kids meal. Simply our go-to pub

The Yellow Broom is best described as a blend of pure elegance with a splash of sophistication. The setting is undeniably beautiful, complemented by a warm welcome from the staff, who are clearly well-trained in delivering exceptional silver service. The menu offers a well-balanced selection of cuisine, ensuring there's something to delight every palate. The presentation of the dishes was nothing short of exquisite, and the flavors were simply delightful. The staff were remarkably attentive without being intrusive, striking the perfect balance between friendliness and professionalism. The atmosphere and layout of the restaurant were both appealing and comfortable, enhancing the overall dining experience. The Yellow Broom is a truly first-class establishment that consistently maintains high standards. I highly recommend a visit—you will not be disappointed.
