Love this place, Part of the Sizzling Pubs, always good on price for pub grub, staff are friendly, it mostly clean when I have been here, probably best to book on some busy nights, you can use the app to order directly to your table, If you have never downloaded it before they give you a free drink in the app. Nice selection of food, deserts and hot beverages, plenty to choose from the beers and spirits, nice beer garden out the back with a few tables good for summer, also tv outside, sometime a bouncy castle for the kids with a little bit of grass for them to play on.

I tried the mushrooms 🍄 pie!! Delicious 😋 and the gravy very tasty. Very nice!! Car 🚗 park available. I will come here often.

Ambivalent staff, awful service. Ordered four meals that arrived at three different intervals, over a period of more than 15 min. Child's meal was one of the last to arrive. Staff didn't care or apologise

Visited The Old Maypole recently as a family of 4 . I cannot fault the place , food was outstanding very attentive lady called Rodica greater us smiled helped us choose from the menu . Overall a great experience we will be back !!

Went for a family meal with grandparents & food was really nice. Only complaint is they had one barmaid behind the bar when it was quite busy & the staff member brining food out & clearing tables was very moody & unfriendly. This spoilt it for us & we decided to leave after she gave us one to many dirty looks!! Won’t be returning!!

The whole experience was amazing the staff was very helpful and friendly. The food was amazing, I have the chicken gyros wrap and it was delicious it was light but yet had me very full. I was served by the amazing Cristiana who was very friendly and amazing at giving food recommendations.

So I heard that food quality depends on which chef is cooking 😂😂 🧑‍🍳 Not gonna lie came here the last few times and the food was really good. Both times had Chicken tandoori and was beautiful! 🌟 Hope other dishes are as good as the chicken tandoori and won’t disappoint me 😁😁😁

Unfortunately due to management acting like a grumpy old man. His banning locals yet allows kids to run riot, fights and drugs. Staff are brilliant but managers are very poor.

When I ordered dessert it took over an hour to arrive and even then I had to ask where it was twice not good enough sorry

A "proper pub" with excellent sports coverage. Also a good size so perfect for dining and other social gatherings too. Can't fault the food except maybe more choice. Great food, but ordering at the bar takes time, not enough staff. Otherwise great place.

My husband and I came here to meet up with old work colleagues. There were 8 of us in total. 6 of us went up to the bar to order their food, and my husband used the app to order our food. It took 30 minutes for the first plate to appear at the table, and then the rest came, individually about every 5 minutes apart. One woman was allergic to cheese, so she stated NO cheese on her food, and it arrived covered in cheese (so after waiting for 30 minutes, hers had to be returned to the kitchen)! The actual food itself was acceptable, but nothing special. I had fish and chips , with a side of BROWN bread (photographed), and my husband had a large burger ( which I didn't get to photograph of). His burger was held together with a wooden fork instead of a wooden skewer, which obviously broke the burger up! We had chocolate fudge cake for dessert, which obviously had been warmed up in a microwave for too long, as it was very dry. We will not come back to this pub to eat again. The only upside of it was meeting old friends!

Great family place to eat. Food was tasty, hot and presented well. Staff were excellent and very helpful. And a reasonable price which was refreshing. Would recommend.

My family and I visited The Old Maypole for a family gathering, we wasn't disappointed, the food was 10 out of 10, the staff were exceptional, especially the lovely young lady called Summer she couldn't do enough for us, we felt like we were in a 5 star restaurant with the service we received. Antonio and Summer were great hosts, they are a credit to ur company, I will definitely recommend to my family and friends to visit!

I find the old maypole. A good place. To end on after a day's work the staff are welcoming and the manager has changed the way the pub now looks outside now more welcoming. And the bar staff are very friendly and helpful. To name few summer kate adam to name a few.

Have visited the pub many, many times and can't say a bad word! The staff is absolutely amazing always there to keep us happy and helpful when needed. My partner and I had a great meal at The Old Maypole yesterday. Both our meals were delicious and excellent value. The portion size, presentation and very helpful waitress were first class. Highly recommended.

Absolutely terrible service no staff is around the main area for help and there's no table number to order food. The waiting time is also despicable as we waited over 40 minutes for the most disappointing and bland meal I've ever eaten. NOT only is all of this more than enough reason to never go here again but I also can't help but point out our order didn't even show up together and we waited an additional 20 minutes for drinks we had to go up and get ourselves

Great pub with excellent service! Ben is super chatty and adds a friendly vibe to the place. The food is always hot and tasty, and they have a fantastic selection of cold beers. Highly recommend for a relaxed night out!

I came here with some friends. We got some food which was good and beer portions were quite nice. Garden is quite big, shame outside TV did not work but was ok :)

We were invited to a 50th birthday party tonight .There were two bouncers on the door .As you would expect they were asking people if they had been invited to the party. All I can say I have never known such an appalling way he spoke to myself and my partner. .Such bad customer service to speak to guests It was a rude and abrupt interrogation. I felt ao awful .The slim tall bouncer was fine. It was the large bouncer on the door . .

Awfull experience! I went there yesterday around 5 pm and after drinking and eating,around 7 pm security comes to me to take the cap off! 👎👎👎

Great food at an incredible price. Great value mid-week for lunch. We had different dishes all good.

Had 2 gammon meals for £11.75 lunch deal. Came up quickly and the Gammon was tasty, generous portions. Service was good. Pub has had a refurbishment recently and looked fresh and clean. Nice garden out the back too.

Reservation made a few days in advance but on arrival found no table reserved. Had to find seats for ourselves. Went to bar to order food and waited over 10 minutes with bar staff totally ignoring me until I shouted at one who then took my order. Only other complaint was people openly smoking drugs in garden area.

Fabulous place for dinner. Popped in last Wednesday for dinner and the staff were all very polite, friendly and most of all helpful. Nothing was to much trouble. Food were good sizes and tasty, not to mention very reasonable!! If you want a good meal at affordable prices choose this place over the Tollgate!!

Absolutely appalling service today. We came in at 17 on Sunday to dine in. Paid for our food at around 17 30. One person at our table received their food. The rest of us still waiting for food at 19:00. Will not come back again. So upsetting!

I had the most delicious salmon. It was one of the nicest meals that I have every had at the venue. the staff are very helpful and the manager is always very welcoming. I would definately recommend a visit. It certainly has the feelgood factor.
