This was probably the most original cafe we've been to in Britain - a sort of cross between a piano bar and a Viennese cafe. The piano-themed decor throughout was superb & welcoming. Sadly, when we were there the coffee was poor and the accompanying fare - cakes etc - was very limited & unexciting (we had a so-so eclair). Perhaps we went on an 'off' day foodwise - hope so as the overall presentation deserves much better.

Excellent ambience with lovely piano self-playing lush standards and easy listening classics. Piano-themed decor is outstanding and gives a wonderful feel to this most special cafe in the heart of Trowbridge. I'd thoroughly recommend you pay a visit soon.

Perfect for coffee and a quick bite, we had some delicious toasties with salad and enjoyed listening to the self-playing piano! Good selection of cakes and sandwiches too. Staff always lovely and there’s always somewhere to sit.

Strange thing first, when i booked the only availability was 3 course a la cart so i called and this was confirmed, we are not massive eaters anyway, quality over quantity for us. Thursday before the Saturday booking i was called and it was confirmed again, 3 courses. But on arrival we were told the only thing possible was the main 7 item fixed menu and nothing else. It was also more expensive than the website said, the website also mentions the a la cart. A bit confusing this. However, the food was very good indeed as expected, service was very attentive without being intrusive. Just a bit of a shame on arrival, will be back!

We had a lovely welcome from Tina, very attentive all through our time at the pub. Food was excellent, so good to have beautifully cooked vegetables, including tender stem broccoli and purple sprouting, carrots beautifully cooked also. The beef and stilton pie was beautiful. All in all a great experience will definitely repeat.

Unfortunately unable to review accomodation, food or service as we were double booked. Apparently landlords wife responsible for this so she was summoned. Landlord then completely ignored us and didnt even offer us a seat let alone an apology, this was left to his wife. She didnt seem well and was apparently in hospital at the time of our booking. She went away, 20 mins later produced £140 to cover the cost at premier inn who had ample availability and she had phoned them. Premier Inn denied any phone calls from Helen. They had one room which went whilst we were trying to book it. Plenty of certificates of awards, shame they are so old and tatty like the pub. I hate being lied to but rudeness, lies and facing a night in the car... Dont book here, disgraceful performance. Tired and niaive, should have insisted they booked it in front of us! Took the edge off Bath Christmas market tbh!
