What a great find just of the A303 . Called in for a full english breakfast. Just like my old mum made with bubble and squeak. Great service with a smile . Will call in again

A remarkable GF cream tea like no other. Two scones each at a reasonable price for two. Quick and friendly service. A waiter came back to ask if we needed any more cream or jam. Scones were fresh. Nice and hot. Great coffee. Was informed at paying the bill they could also offer a gf afternoon tea. They would need plenty of notice for this to prepare. Cafe adjoining a farm shop where they sell local meat, honey and refillables.

I wish I could give 5 stars, however, today we waited an hour and a half for food, only to be told our order had been lost. We have been here a few times in the week but on weekends it seems to be very busy and some of the shop assistants seemed flustered. The meal was nice after we waited, but I would not recommend going on a weekend for brunch. The shop is nice and have a few things to buy, the pineapple jam is highly recommended. Maybe if we go ago, I can update to 5 stars.

What an amazing place with the most friendly and helpful staff. A friend who is not seen in 20 years and I met here last Friday for a catch up. The food was fab and the staff so friendly and accommodating. We had brunch then went for a walk and came back for tea and stayed virtually all day! The farm shop was great too. Will definitely be coming back.

We stopped off for a little look and to pick up some bread. They sold us 4 slices of sour dough, as the loaves were too big for us. The produce looked amazing. They have a refill station for household items, like washing up liquid etc. The staff were incredibly friendly and chatty. We returned the following morning for the best cooked breakfast. The chef is a bit of a find.....she baked an awesome Rhubarb cake, which we took back to our camper for tea. The toilet is also, really lovely. An important factors for me!! A little gem if a place, I foresee the parking may be an issue in high season, this place is going to be very popular!

Fantastic afternoon spent at The Old Forge Cafe I booked for my mum’s 80th birthday. What a lovely find, and the ladies there couldn’t do enough for us ! I told them at the time of booking it was to celebrate my mum’s 80th and we arrived to a beautifully decorated table, and delicious birthday cup cakes and a pre-ordered cream tea ! The cafe is in a converted barn which on a cold wet day was a little on the chilly side, however we were all given blankets …. perhaps a heater of some sort would have been an additional comfort … The farm shop in the adjacent building is full of delicious homemade goodies and very reasonably priced .. I really recommend The Old Forge Farm Shop &Cafe a lovely place for tea with friends and family.

What a fabulous place this is - amazing food, friendly and well informed staff and an ethical ethos. The farm shop itself is terrific but our afternoon tea was first class - fresh, high quality and some delightfully different treats as well as traditional must haves. It may seem odd to mention the toilet and to add a photo but it exemplified the thought that goes into service - as well as being very chic, the discrete shelf with ‘emergency’ items is a great touch. Just 5 mins off the A303 - well worth the slight diversion for a superb break on a journey but equally worth making time for special trip for lunch or afternoon tea

This is a fantastic Farm Shop with great local produce. A lovely deli counter and great refill options on all sorts of dried goods as well as things like washing up liquid etc. A good range of Gluten Free products. Staff are knowledgeable and have created a great welcoming atmosphere. I've not yet had the chance to try out the cafe, but friends have and said it was great.

Popped here for lunch - and what a fabulous surprise! Beautiful toasties, pies, cakes and lots of other lovely lunch and breakfast bites - with an excellent gluten free range too. The only problem was deciding what to have. Some fabulous produce in the farm shop too - with a good range local and / or packaging free. Love it!

One of the great joys in life is finding a local farm shop offering a good choice of local produce and innovative items from further afield. Couple this with a cafe serving fresh home-cooked food, cakes, desserts and all served in a converted barn and forge brings you to this delightful female-run enterprise in rural Wiltshire. This is now firmly fixed as a local favourite, made even better by the fact they operate a zero-waste refill service by which you can bring your empty plastic containers and bottles to re-use them. Don’t just take my word for it - pay them a visit. You’ll thank me.
