Vecchio edificio risalente al 1680, il soffitto basso con travi a vista e il caminetto gli danno la tipica atmosfera da pub di paese. Il ristorante offre una selezione di buoni piatti preparati con ingredienti locali. Camera non grandissima ma confotevole, il riscaldamento era un po' troppo alto soprattutto in bagno. Buona la colazione all'inglese preparata sempre con ingredienti locali.

Only popped in for lunch but eat upstairs the the olde worlde dinning room. Menu looked very inviting but only had the ham egg and chips which was very tasty. Food was not particularly cheap but the hanm in particular was delicious. Service was very good but cannot comment on the atmosphere as we were the only people eating. A lot of the food appeared to be local, Based on the menu and the food that I had I would recommend

We have had a drink here a few times but for the first time we had lunch. It was a bargain offer price and the food was delicious. The best meal I've had in a pub. The staff are always friendly and accomodating.

Market PlaceMet with a friend for lunch. Lovely venue, lovely food (but rather pricey!) When we came to pay,the owner was rather abrupt! Perhaps we overstayed our welcome?! 🙃

Village GreenStopped here today after finding this on Tripadvisor. We were warmly welcomed and given the option of sitting in the bar or upstairs (very steep stairs) for waitress service. We chose the Ploughman's Lunch, where you have the options of choosing 2 options from: cheddar, Stilton, brie, prawns, beef or piri piri chicken. The plates were full of colourful & tasty food; the beef was plentiful and tender. It took us ages to get through and unfortunately didn't have room gir a dessert. Another customer couldn't manage her lunch, and she was offered the option of having it packaged up and taking it home. We will be back next time we are in the area to try something else off the menu!
