We ordered from the festive menu as soon as we were seated at 12:30. We were given the salad bowls straight away. A short time afterwards we received our starters. It was about 2 hours later before we received our roast dinners. Some Tables who came in after us were served and had left before we had been given our main course. Some other tables gave up and left and there appeared to be a lot of complaints going on. Our waitress, Georgia, was rushed off her feet but managed to keep her cool and was extremely polite to us and everyone else around despite complaints of long waits. We felt so sorry for her, it wasn’t her fault and the manager should have been the one apologising. R Gonzalez

We’ve been coming to the harvester for many years and unfortunately the standards seem to have slipped. The customer service was not what you’d expect from a harvester. The food was overcooked for two of us and my steak (supposed to be medium-rare) wqs tough as old boots and very well done. I would have asked for another one had we had any visits to the table at all to check on our food. Tables not cleared and general felt un clean in the bar area.

I would give this zero, if it was allowed Booked breakfast. On arrival, waited 10 mins to even be acknowledged. Shown to table. Table next door to us was still dirty from previous incumbents, this was not cleared up for an hour after we had arrived. Ordered two lattes and two breakfasts. Lattes took over 20 mins to arrive. After 40 mins of waiting, we had to enquire where our food was. They begrudgingly fetched the order (sub par for a harvester, but by this time we were hungry) and as no communications had been forthcoming as to any delays, we asked what the issues were only to be told “it is what it is, and they had a party of 15 outside for breakfast”. This is all very well, but communication here is key. The duty manager did not offer any other explanations other than to huff when we stated that the service on this occasion was not up to expected standard. Then at 12, when other young staff came onto their shift, instead of working (perhaps to clear the tables that had the remnants of breakfasts on from when we arrived, they began a loud conversation about how someone was “sh&gging their best mate”. This team desperately needs some training on how to behave in a customer service environment. Avoid at all costs.

Where do I begin. We arrived and ordered almost immediately, this was about 6.15pm. We were given salad bowls, the salad bar almost empty and what was there dried. There was no butter. We had our starters. At approximately 7.45 we were told the chicken meal ordered was not available, they'd run out of chicken. As we were being told this, people who arrived after us were being served chicken. Their excuse, you had a starter, so your order was put back. My argument was, why didn't they think, we need to keep back some for earlier order. Their reply to my email was rubbish.

POSITIVE: •Portion sizes, •Attentiveness of staff (Chelsea), •Product availability, •Overfilled dessert portion, •Venue cleanliness, NEGATIVE: •Small parts of chicken had to be removed as it 'looked' to be pink, •Toilet door wouldn't close, •Ordered items weren't kept separate on bill - so unnecessary time needed to divide each person's total.

Lovely night. It was a beautiful evening so the gardens were really busy which meant the restaurant was not overly full. One of us ordered a rare steak and it was cooked to perfection. All the food was really good and Kieran provided great service. A lovely way to spend a Wednesday evening.

Over priced and over cooked. I suspect my Simply Salmon meal had been under the heat lamp for some time. Mash had a crusty skin on the top and the peas were like little bullets. The ratatouille was delicious, but not much more than a dessert spoonful, so it must have been a garnish! Very busy and noisy and a long wait for service. Disappointing and expensive for a poor quality meal.

I normally avoid Harvester as I’ve had bad experiences in the past but as we were staying at a nearby campsite it was the best option for us. It was very busy (I would recommend booking) and we had to sit in the bar area. The service was prompt, there is a good menu selection to suit all tastes. The fish and chips were great as was the steak. The salad bar was better than I have had before too. Will definitely give Harvester another try

Always enjoy the food, such a good selection to suit all tastes along with a very good choice on the free salad bar. Staff are always friendly & obliging, especially Tracey & Chelsea.

Stopped here for dinner, after visiting Corfu Castle, walked a distance and we are hungry. We ordered off the two courses for £17.99 We both had chicken goujons to start (delicious) and for our main, I had BBQ Chicken stack and my friend had chicken Rotisserie. My friend is Gluten intolerant, so, it is always a good choice for her to come here. Didn't eat everything, so got takeaway boxes.

My husband my stepdaughter and her partner Shellie had a beautiful meal the waitress was really good, funny as well Chelsea was her name made us feel at ease really enjoyed it. ❤️

We had been here over an hour still not received our food. And food stopped being served. This was absolutely horrendous. Not coming back for a long long time!!!!

We returned after the refit and were not disappointed! Fabulous food and brilliant service! Maddie was only on her 2nd shift it was crazy busy and she absolutely aced it when I asked to swap something. No panic or hesitation, she was polite and as my 7yr old daughter said a really friendly face and very kind! Seeing David R (Bravo) was also great as he is a credit it the restaurant and my daughter was happy to see him there too! Will definitely be returning just a bit earlier in the day!

Treated my children to a meal our waiter David was awesome however that was all that was good about it. The salad bar was minimal, service was slow just to get salad and not sure the poor young girl knew what she was doing ridiculous wait between starters and mains I ended up having to take my 6 year old outside to keep him occupied and when the mains did eventually get to us it was mostly cold. We gave up paid and took the kids to mcdonalds ... at least they're burger was hot! Thanks David for being ace but your wasted there mate x

It's first time when we coming here after the refurb, and let me tell you, the place looks AMAZING... I was very happy to see Andrea, who was our server she was amazing and nothing was to trouble for her. Her feet didn't stayed in one place ( i'm sure she done her steps :) ). This has just had a refurb, it’s now a lovely spacious light filled, well decoredharvester. Lovely beer garden overlooking Old Sarum and goodSized benches. We ordered a number of meals - they’re huge!! Everyone enjoyed theirs but my southern fried chicken was a littleDry. The Salad bar will not return to selfService but the team are great. Aaron was our server- really helpful, friendly and polite. A real credit to the team. The restaurant was very busy and fully booked throughout the evening but allOf the team members worked hard but smiled and were polite throughout.

Visited today & although I have no complaints regarding the food, the customer service with some staff needs serious improvement!Most were absolutely lovely & very friendly but one in particular (didnt catch her name as she wasnt our server but was dressed much smarter than the others) was very rude. When we arrived there was no one at the host station. We waited in the doorway for what seemed like forever. After a while we decided to look for someone who could seat us. Couldn't see anyone. Bumped into friends who informed us that they had been waiting for 40 mins for their food. Finally waved over a staff member who abruptly informed us we should not be in the seating area. We are to wait by the entrance until we are greeted to be seated. Tried to explain that we had been waiting a long time & was just looking for someone to seat us. She just kept repeating "you have to wait over there, it doesn't matter, someone would have come eventually". She then snatched the menu I had picked up on the way in & was looking at off of me, took us to our table & then when I put my hand out for the menu back she instead placed it down at the end of the table. It's just silly & petty. We had to wait a really long time for someone to take our order to the point we thought we had been forgotten. Food was lovely but that initial encounter with the server just left me feeling really uncomfortable.

As a chain of inn providing a standard product you can’t fault it. An upgraded from a burger or chicken fast food restaurant. The staff are professional, friendly, the revamp is good although it’s obvious has lots of made to look old beams etc. Food again okay but no zing.Zero real beer on offer.

We visited today and came into a busy restaurant, we had drinks and food outside and were served at the bar by Rebekah, she was very busy but still made sure she was polite and welcoming to all visiting. Very well represented and even though under ammense pressure she still worked very professional. All staff members were very polite when passing! Will definitely return and what a fantastic turn around to the restaurant!

5 very nice place after refurbishment. Menus are quite diverse. Nice salad bar also. Endless soda if wanted. Deserts to die for . Tracey was very helpful and attentive.

A lovely impromptu visit for lunch, greeted by an extremely friendly team despite battling a new layout and systems, but this did not hinder the hospitality. Our server was Nate, nothing was too much trouble. He was informative and knowledgeable about the venue and the menu. We also spoke with a number of colleagues at the salad cart who again couldn’t do enough to help. It’s a shame that the Harvester menu in general is quite lacking in vegan options but the burger was pretty good, well cooked and served piping hot and in a timely manner. The veggie pasta was a good size portion without being over the top and so I’m told extremely tasty. All in all a pleasant lunch with great service, thanks Nate & team

Went with my family (9 of us) to the soft opening of the newly refurnished Harvester. The refurbishment is excellent. The restaurant still retains it's olde-worlde features but has been modernised so that there is more room and much more light. The toilets are are so much improved! Food is still very yummy in this family friendly restaurant. The manager and staff are so professional and went over and above what they needed to to make sure our evening was enjoyable. It shows that they enjoy what they do and this makes for a wonderful friendly atmosphere. Well done everybody, especially Danni and Jess who looked after us so well.

Amazing refurbishment! Visited here for the first night open after the refurb. The service from Aaron and the whole team was second to none! Nothing was too much trouble! The food was excellent, hot, fresh and served quickly! Inside the decor is fresh and modern and the garden area has been re-landscaped and will be fantastic on a sunny day for a few drinks!! Thank you to all the team for a lovely evening! We will be back very soon!!!

Beautiful! The new refurb is stunning and the staff were lovely and attentive during our visit, we had Nate to serve our table and he made sure to check for allergies and make sure we had everything we needed at all times. The food was also gorgeous, thank you kitchen team! Especially Makee, Rebecca and Roy! ;) We were all so impressed with everything, thank you we will be back!

As we live locally we often visit this Harvester & are so impressed with the whole service now, not just the staff who have always been friendly.It’s now feels cleaner (even though it’s having a well needed refit) more organised and efficient.Also the standard of the food is higher than we have ever had.The whole team seem a good bunch of people but Tracy has to be one of the most attentive & happy waitresses we have come across in any restaurant.We have been to so many Harvesters in the past, as the kids love the menu but I think this is the best.

Good food as always and excellent service by Chelsea. Finally about to close down for a well needed renovation. Nothing else to say, just need to complete minimum characters.
