This little oldie worldie pub is welcoming and warm, the food is amazing value for money, and the staff are can’t do enough for you !

Visited we the family for a dinner while out and about and wow not disappointed, first off the pub it's self was done out lovely proper old school local pud , the barmaid lovely and very helpful the food as said it pub grub but in my ipythere are not enough local pubs doing proper pub grub they all try to be fancy and I like fancy but there is a place in the market for all sometimes it good to get back to basic and God this pub does that we went for the steak and scampi , cheese and onion baguette with chips and fish fingers and chip and bean for the Bab and apart fro the steak being a little over for my preference the food was spot on and prices are so reasonable as to are the vat prices as being some of the cheapest in the area , with weekly deals and happy hours included, if you are passing I would defo give the pub a visit , we defo will be again

It’s been a few years since I’ve been in this pub but my meal and beer tonight were good and the the staff were very helpful and friendly will be going back again soon 👍

Sunday lunch was satisfactory. Small meal. Frozen roasters, tinned veg, one person /4 had stuffin and no yorky, the rest had yorky no stuffin.. gravy was like water, meat was tasteless, portions were small and the coke was flat. Won’t go back for food again… on the other hand service was great from the younger blonde lady :)

Terrible service - older blonde lady very rude - beer is flat and the glasses were dirty - would not recommend!!

Use the pub/restaurant regular for Sunday lunch and sometimes in the Evening but we took 2 friends with us for the Xmas Meal on the Friday evening - Food was excellent and plentiful and our friends who hadn't been before loved it - Thanks again for Great Food and Excellent Service :-) ! This has all the atmosphere of one of the original Black Country pubs. The menu fits the bill with various Black Country and pub favourites as well as special offers. Worth a 3 1/2 because of the lack fresh veg and the microwaved desserts. We went on a Sunday - roast dinner only at £6.95 for a two course (main and pudding). All of the group enjoyed their meat selection (choice of beef, chicken or pork). Frozen veg - carrots and peas ( a let down should have been fresh), two roast spuds (we weren't happy to find a large bowl of roasters had been given away to those in the bar????), mashed potato and a Yorkshire pudding. I had a piece of apple pie (lovely lots of apple) with custard, my wife had spotted dick (lots of fruit) and two others in the party had jam pudding. Not sure if they were home made if they were the were obviously warmed in the microwave. There's limited beers/ales (2), lagers and ciders. They offer wines, non alcoholic and hot drinks but we found them expensive.

Excellent quality Sunday Lunch - Good portions and quality ingredients - good service and A Top Quality Pint of Real Ale - Well Worth a Visit If your in the area or Local !

We have been visiting this pub for a while and there’s a reason we keep returning .theres a great and wide selection of food and drinks . The outside is lovely when the weather is hot and the pub is generally very family friendly .

Food was very tasty, service a bit slow but worth the wait. Decent selection of ales but poor selection of wines. Will call again.

Called in today on visiting Blackheath for a family funeral. Greeted by a lovely, friendly lady behind the bar. Quite a few people in eating so we thought we'd eat too rather than just have a drink which as our intention, what a good idea it was. My husband ordered the steak and kidney pie and I had the liver and onions. Both meals were part of a "special" and tasted absolutely brilliant. Evidently home cooked food and so tasty. The whole package of friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and great food should be copied by a lot more pubs.

Sorry to write this but went for the Christmas dinner two courses for 7:95 and to be honest iv never had anything so tasteless in my life how can someone get a dinner so wrong the turkey was so dry even the gravy couldn’t help it out the parsnips were hard the veg were definitely frozen can’t wait for my wife’s delicious Christmas dinner now stick to your usual menu please

Lovely little friendly pub, nice beer garden, and very good bar food. Will definitely be going back.

Having visited the Old Bush numerous times, we took our daughters for a meal on a Friday, early evening. The service, as usual, was exemplary. Jan is wonderful and Jenna and Ryan provide fabulous food in a fantastic atmosphere. The food is hot, tasty and well presented and the drinks available are of varied choice. This pub is by far the best pub in the area and I'm very happy it's my local.

Visited as a group of 4 women as the pub is local. We had all planned to order food ok desserts. We arrived at 8.10pm on a Saturday night and was told the kitchen was closed. We were really hungry. The bar woman said she had a cob, I asked for 4. However she replied saying they only had one. I asked if more could be ordered and was told no We therefore sat with our drinks sharing one cob and 4 packets of crisps. The pub appeared to be full of local people that congregated around the bar . It was very quiet for a sat night so would be unlikely to revisit

No nonsense pub. They don't promise the earth, but provide meals with reasonable portions and senseable price. Beer was good, it was busy which is a good sign. Could of done with having the heating on though.

This is a quaint little boozer set halfway up poke lane, very cosy with friendly staff, car parks a little cramped but well worth a visit

Usually love this pub had lots of lovely metals there but what a disappointment the Christmas meal was well below the usual standard I me afraid not presented at all well seemed to have just slapped on plate .there were 11 of us can understand they had other dinners but none of us had finished our drinks before we were rushed off our table there was no where else to sit and as I have bad back I had to lean against bar our family left before finishing their drinks as they felt they were in the way it was supposed to be a lovely pre Christmas family get together spoiled by the above

This is a friendly pub. It has fab offers on the food. The food is all home cooked, very tasty. Highly recommended

I really love this pub and beer garden, my third visit on Friday but first time in the beer garden. The food is of excellent quality and well cooked. The staff were very helpful and friendly and will definitely be going again.

One of the old style of pubs. Now serving standard grub with a limited amount of draught beers on sale. Two rooms , clean and well upholstered....

The Old Bush is one of those pubs that are disappearing. The beers and wines are excellent, the company top rate and the whole atmosphere makes you want to return

Food always delicious, also served hot nothing to much trouble for the customer and very reasonable prices

This place is either rammed packed or empty. The management have done very well refurbishing this pub, it is very clean and comfortable. Me and my bud used to drink here early evening every Saturday but unfortunately the real ale has gone downhill (well it had the last time I was there, hopefully it has now improved but I'm not going to risk wasting my money again at the moment). We enjoy going to a local pub for a beer and to experience a real pub feel but many times we thought that we had walked into a works canteen.

unfortunately this visit was for a wake after a funeral . excellent spread laid on , felt warm and cosy . lots of theatrical memorabilia . good old fashioned pub

Once again the food was good and excellent value for money and the Staff are friendly. There was eight of us dining and the meal came quickly and altogether. There are several real ales to choose from. Just booked a Christmas lunch.
