bar staff and wont say who has they will play the card. but they have a very bad attitude for working in a pub maybe try something different has being a bar woman doesn't suit, will not be returning anytime soon

Its different from the last time I visited, its definitely a mans pub, no food and sticky floors,

Police hide out here looking for cars to pull over. Proper jobsworths

Great, I worked there for a year, I miss time spend and worked in this traditional, local English Pub.

Arrived at 22.15 26th November. Told pub closed, although there was bar person behind bar and customers in pub. Will never drink there again.

Nice relaxing pub that now don't serve food ,which is a good thing reminds me of pubs back in the day lol 😀 probably good idea to serve cobs though!!!

A group of 8 of us ate here today. Tried to order multiple meals that were not available (no pies, no mac & cheese & no gammon) .. Was told gammon was not on the menu, I said it was, was then told - that's the old menu - we don't have gammon any more. I said well have you got the new menu? Answer was No!? Anyway, after having to go back to the table 3 times to change the orders we eventually ordered: 2 breakfasts - which arrived warm with no eggs on there! & sausages were overcooked & wrinkly. 1 Chicken melt - chicken was dry. 2 lasagnes were nice, but the salad was old & dry and neither guest ate it. 3 Chicken tikka masalas were nice but the mini nan bread was hard & chips only warm. Our drinks were brought over to us but mine was forgotten so I had to go up to the bar again to ask for it. As we only have one meal as a group each year, we were all really disappointed with the quality of the food & service. I had visited here approx 5 months ago & my experience was totally different... the food was lovely & the service was great. We didn't leave a tip which is very unusual.

Had a great day at the Scott Arms, Lovely food, drink, ect.. Could not fault the pub, there was a new barman there, he was very polite and looked after us throughout our Visit, I think is name was Steve 😄

Not been inside just seen when I got the no 16 bus to Scott Arms in Great Barr. Looks ok from the outside. Pub named after Sir James Scott apparently.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Food great & reasonable priced. Service was very fast, efficient and friendly.

All of the staff at the Scott Arms continue to do a great job. Zee, Sue, Jen, Luke, Graham and the rest are very welcoming. Good work!

Out for a few drinks with friends and love Friday nights with Geordie playing all of everyone's favourite tunes.Beer is always on point and the atmosphere is welcoming.

Bar staff great , misses shopping and then I had couple but great atmosphere,son loves the breakfast all the staff know him and engage with him.

My local pub great place lovely staff friendly I also play in darts team Big well done to Luke for get it up and running really look forward to our Tuesday night of darts brilliant busy atmosphere of a Tuesday night of darts :)

Warm and welcoming staff, good atmosphere at the weekend

New to the area and i wanted to watch the Racing with it being Cheltenham festival. On popping in I found that the racing coverage was viewable wherever i was in the pub so i decided to stay. The bar staff were friendly and welcoming, the drink selection was good so I had a Double vodka and coke and stayed for a few more. Had a great day will certainly be coming back.

Over from Spain for a month and had to get the bus from my hotel saw pub on route so visited on my way back from town and popped in for lunch with the kids. I had all day breakfast and the kids goujons and a burger very good value and size portions. Enjoyable visit.

It's okay for a drink and a bit of social time with friends. Most of the staff are friendly, all of them should be really, maybe this is something the management should take into consideration when employing. I'd still recommend you go and try it out.

Very loud music. Had run out of most things on the. Menu. But the staff was wonderful. Even turning of the music. Our waitress was amazing. I had the all day breakfast which I really enjoyed. Would go back in morning just for the breakfast and the staffs smiling faces

Great pub to visit, the beer is bang on. We were served by two barman Luke and Graham and there customer service towards me and my friends was excellent. It was a pleasure to come here. Great night out.

Been for breakfast a couple times now ..breakfast is one of the best I've ever had and I've had alot ..staff friendly nice chilled atmosphere can't fault it ..go and have a look

I brought my mother, who was visiting me, along with my friends mother, both pensioners, out for a meal and a few drinks to the scott arms, where i regulary go when im in the area. I always put my reg in the machine but euro car parks sent me a fine for £100 saying i didnt put a ticket on my car. Now ive never had to do that, but i dont know if my reg got logged, either way, i was a paying customer and think its unfair for them to reject my receipt on bank statement. Surely that was proof i was there to visit the pub, stayed about 2hrs, i cant see that as good press! Its nothing short of extortion!

Quick drink before getting the bus.coffee was strong just how i like it,husbands drink was fine.The place was clean and comfortable. Will go again.

Knowing the poor reputation only to well of the Scott arms of old and being from the area the pub is still stung by a stigma, night times can be lively but any one looking for a quiet midweek lunch I couldn’t recommend anywhere better , £32 x 3 mains 3 drinks and a wings starter , nice and warm wipes the floor with the Hampstead

Popped in on a Sunny Sunday afternoon. No free tables outside. But inside was clean and airy. The beer was cold and sparkly. Had a nice workingman's atmosphere. Staff and punters friendly

What a cracking local style pub. Good food - chicken cheese and bacon burger was fab, chips were cooked to perfection - a great welcome from the Staff and 2 meals with 4 soft drinks for £16. Brilliant.

On Wednesday 18th May, we decided on an impromptu visit to the Scott Arms for a bit of breakfast. We were greeted by a lovely helpful lady behind the bar, she took our order for two traditional breakfasts with a tea and coffee. We chose a seat in the window, next to a group of older people who appeared to meet there on a regular basis. It was such a lovely atmosphere and so nice to see and hear people enjoying each others company. Our breakfasts arrived promptly you could see they were freshly cooked and everything was just perfect, even the fried egg was done just right. We were both very impressed and both said it was the best full breakfast we'd had in a long time and all for £3.29 amazing! Would definitely recommend a visit especially for breakfast, you won't be disappointed

Excellent service good for Drinking

I went in for the first time and ordered two ciders one for me and my friend this was the first and only drink I’d had that day I went in for another after I’d finished it and was told I could only have a soft drink as I’d had too michael and seemed drunk. I was told this in a really rude way and was so embarrassed I have social anxiety and am on medication which has side effects but that isn’t enough to make me seem drunk I was disgusted by there treatment of me and will never be returning

Not a lot to say. Went for a wake after a funeral. Luckily was a warmish day so we sat outside.

Love this pub.Very convenient for me to get to. Decided to have a bite to eat and had an all day breakfast. I have to say it was one of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time. Sausages were lovely,as was the bacon. Two fried eggs,grilled tomato,baked beans with two hash browns and toast. It was delicious and great value for money. All washed down with a 7-up from memory. Will definitely be ordering again very soon! Friendly staff and atmosphere. What's not to like!

Visited for a meal prior to our theatre visit on 1 March. Wanted the cheese topped steak pie but there wasn't any available. So I ordered the fish and chips. This was the worst plate of food I have ever been served with. Covered in grease that was pooled on the plate. If I wasn't so rushed to get the bus to the city, I would have sent the meal back to the incompetent kitchen cook. Although local I will not be eating here again. Disgusting!!!

Love this pub.Its easy for me to get to.Had a pint of bitter shandy, first in a long time, and a small plate of scampi and chips.All very good.Staff very friendly and efficient.Will be back soon!

The food is good and the entertainment is okay after 9. But during the day you seem to get the scruffy regulars like at wetherspoons pubs.
