Very bad for sitting outside don’t have ambrele or pergola or something

I have always found Costa food to be tasty. The prices have increased over time which isn’t ideal, but seems to be the case across eateries due to rising costs elsewhere. Hot food took a while - we had ordered 3 hot items but they could only heat one at a time due to only having one oven!! Seems pretty ridiculous if you ask me. This meant by the time the third item had been heated up, the first item was going cold. On this occasion, my panini seemed overdone as it was hard on the ends. It had also only been partially cut by staff - the knife hadn’t gone all the way through so the panini wasn’t halved properly. Staff weren’t particularly friendly. I asked for tap water and although eating in, requested for the water to be in a plastic cup which I could take away, so I could continue drinking the water on the go after leaving. Staff said they were unable to accommodate this because apparently Costa have a new policy where they count the cups?! So you can only have a plastic cup if you pay for a drink which is served in one of these. Absolutely ridiculous! Seats by windows need blinds for customers to pull down when needed, as the sunlight/heat streaming in was far too much.

Today 19th of March 2024 I visited your premises in West brom in the town center. I met one of your staff members and I have to say she was very unhelpful as my husband was going hypoglycemic. After I explained his severity of the emergency she told to get back in line and wait my turn however I asked to customer in front of me if I could get my husband something to eat an emergency. Your staff member was highly annoyed and proceeded to say how rude I was for trying to get help in an emergency . There was 3 of us using the premises,my husband is in a wheelchair, our friend needs a walk stick and myself. This happened just five o'clock this evening. Please check cameras for the role interaction. Could you also forward the staff information as she has clearly put a person's life in danger . Popped in to get my birthday treat and l made a good choice which was carrot 🥕 cake, what's up doc?. Good location and pleasant staff who made me feel welcome and invited. It's in a good location and a good size. I have been here a few times and it is clean as one would expect if such an establishment. I would recommend this branch to others.

Gets a bit sunny there in the summer. Not bad light in winter. The only Costa in West Bromwich I think. WiFi is good. Not far from the tram and buses.

The tea was cold when it arrived. We ordered only 4 English tea's so I don't know how this can even happen if we only ordered tea.

staff were unnecessarily rude and miserable the place is always too busy and cramped, tables too close together with nowhere to walk and overall an uncomfortable atmosphere.

The exorbitant price, the rude staff, especially the barista Elisa using inappropriate words to address the customer, I was not impressed at all, other locations are far above her level

Courteous delivery guy and quick delivery

Horrible service, “Manea” should be fired for raising her voice at me for asking for a Medium take away cup and snatching it away from her colleague to give a smaller one which would not fit my medium drink. Started to play victim and said i was raising my voice. I asked to speak to a manager but she ignored me and on purpose. The drink was fine, just disgusting attitude from this staff which was very embarrassing.

My Tea and one latte ended up on my hall floor as had leaked and fell through bottom of my bag and l am still awaiting a refund 😳

Very disappointed in this particular branch 6 people in the cue waited 8 minutes to get served ordered my drinks that were not upto temp. Team members need proper guidance and motivation seems like a lack of leadership or management. Shame really it's a nice store .

Arrived to a semi full restaurant. Waited at the til for several minutes whilst a barista named Liz, who had glanced in my direction and registered I was waiting, continued to ignore me and clean the steamer. When, after about 5 minutes, I interrupted her to ask if I could place an order, she snapped that she was cleaning the steamer and if it’s not clean I won’t be having a drink. After a few more minutes of vigorously clean the sparkly clean steamer Liz then miserably took my order. Signing off her abysmal customer service with one final act, after making the drinks, Liz left them on the side cooling down rather than to alert my friend and I, who had spent some time navigating the metropolis of sticky tables to find one solitary clean one, that they were ready. Regardless of the type of the establishment there should be a basic level of customer service (I.e. greeting the customer on arrival, apologising that there might be a wait, calling over one of your colleagues who were stood in the kitchen) provided. Costa West Brom failed in every area. Oh… to add… the drinks were average

Totally disappointed with this costa branch, usually i enjoy coffee of costa but this branch served me low quality of coffee literally no taste on it. Even my friends were totally disappointed with their drinks which was latte. So please try to improve the quality of coffee.

Service was very slow. All the empty tables had dirty crockery on. 3 tables of 4 had one person at each on a lap top computer and no sign of purchasing any food or drink. This is becoming a common site in a lot of coffee cafes and should be monitored and timed!

Appalling and disgusting behaviour from manager Mariah. She was rude and lacked customer service. She displayed anti-social & aggressive behaviour towards me because I asked about my drink after waiting for 20 minutes.Not only was there a delay in serving my drink she also got my order wrong and accused me of lying and having been already served. When I told her I would report her for her lack of customer service and rudeness she flashed her badge in my face and bellowed to me about her being the manager. I told her I would take my complaint to senior management and she sarcastically responded by telling me to take it HR. When I was served my drink I felt uncomfortable after the incident and felt obliged to leave and I will never visit the store again or any other Costa cafes because of her appalling behaviour and attitude. Managers are meant to keep the customers happy and oversee the running of the business, this incident has left me with a scar.

Yesterday morning the barrista had been let down by a staff member, she did extremely well considering the circumstances. I could see she was stressed & whispered my order & said take your time. At that point a member of staff came in to her rescue & started cleaning tables & trays while apologising to customers & serving. She explained she'd been on her own since 6am & I said how good & fast she was at serving drinks, food, uber orders single handedly. She was clearly good at her job & despite the predicament I'd go back anytime as they Rock 👌

It's a Costa. The drinks are good and the service is great. Nice location which is just outside new square. Plenty of seating inside too.

One of my drinks was damaged. As there was a wipcream nozzle inside my drink which honestly put me off drinking it! 😔

Would give 0 stars if i could. I am disgusted with what i witnessed today, a young girl and i assume with her mom accidentally dropped one drink on the floor accidents happen ! one member of staff woman with short curly hair and glasses was so rude to them sucking her teeth at them, muttering under her breath at first then started getting louder for everyone to hear embarrassing the poor girl, saying ‘like we’re not busy enough’ ‘now i’ve got to stop and clean all this’ amongst other things then forcefully pushed the table away from her cleaning it up. i heard her say shes sorry and she got ignored! then went by the toilets with the other lady clearing herself up shouting outside the door for her to hear. making everyone stare at them she downed whatever drink she had and left. this is disgusting and a lot of customers were talking about this member of staff. i understand it may be frustrating but doesn’t mean you say it out loud! especially in front of everyone. this lady needs re training on customer skills, to top it all off i then heard the girl say what a great start to my birthday ! DISGUSTED

Never always the tidiest. Conveniently located.

Staff are lovely and Great customer service here whenever I've been. Only downside is sometimes tables are not properly cleaned or wiped down and sometimes dishes/cups aren't cleared away on the tables from previous customers. Other than that the lady's who've served me here do an amazing professional job. Nice place to sit in and have a chat. I always order the same.drinks and never had any issues with my order. Perhaps for staff to make customers aware when asking about additional/add on's for drinks that there is extra charges for them as this has happened to me before and didn't realise I was being charged extra.

Ask for extra hot coffee,but it was not given.

Popped in for a mid morning coffee has always friendly staff & quick service.

Conveniently located for the "Three Degrees" statue tribute to the West Brom greats: Laurie Cunningham, Cyrille Regis and Brendon Batson. Not bad for a coffee break as well.

Always busy but manage to get a seat. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Great delivery driver - polite friendly

Nobody cleans tables, dirty cups and trays lay on many tables. Dirty toilet without even the toilet paper. It is a little bit discusting here :(. Don't blame the staff though, they are busy, the management of this place is to blame here.

First time I popped into this branch. Was rudely served by a women ‘Charlie’ who made the coffee. Was not impressed. I asked for it to be made extra hot, told she couldn’t it would burn “her” milk. I’ve had coffee at other chains and they’ve done as requested. Considering what we’re paying. She placed it in front of me without a word. no “enjoy your drink” etc. Customer service needs work on. And staff could do with some training. Other than that the drink tasted nice.

My coffee was disgusting it came cold and it was leaking in the bag. I ordered a large cappuccino but it came half full with stains all over the cup!!

Would have marked higher however there are a few things that could be better. 1. Tables when being cleared should also be wiped over regardless if mess is on table or not! Especially as we are in a germ spreading season. 2. When being offered additional/alternatives on your order it should be clear that there is an additional charge and what that charge is. 3. When a customer has expressed that they do not like the drink they have just brought because too much of a coffee shot was added even though only a "little bit" was requested so totally spoilt the taste of the drink, which ended up being wasted it would of been great customer service if we were offered a replacement instead of not acknowledging the customers dissatisfaction! It does get quiet busy in here and the queue can get long, but otherwise it's a great meeting place and the muffins are soft and lovely.

Love costa and there new food range is good,Xmas chocolate drinks and special coffee are now on the menus,but wish they would start selling Eccles cakes.

There is a tall lady in here with brown hair who's is unhygienic and slap dash wouldn't go again if u going to wring a rag out do it properly and in the sink not leaving dirty water to drip on sides where you are preparing drinks just yucky!!

I am only putting one star due to be able to add a review. I took my little girl here for a drink and a Vegan toastie for my birthday. We sat down to eat and I noticed a piece of chicken on my plate!! I believe the knife used to cut meat was used to cut the vegan toastie. I took the plate back with not much apologie. My little girl got upset because of the meat being on my plate. I went back to speak with a manager and all I got was sorry I will refund you without even taking into consideration what had actually happened. No eye contact and this was done in front of a queue of customers. Will not be going back I feel totally disrespected and actually like no one cares what a big deal it is to be vegan and have meat on your plate or on your food.

Nice environment but long wait to order drinks.

Poor on this occasion, staff completely forgot my order. Arrived and ordered at the counter as you normally would in a Costa, then waited at the end. Customers with much larger orders came and left quicker than i did. Once queried, asked if I'd ordered click and collect. Thankfully resolved after i explained.

It's very clean but my self it's costs to much for a pot of tea most places sell yes for one pound but coasta it is two pound twenty
