A little piece of Belgium in folkestone, a good selection of beers unobtainable elsewhere, genial hosts a very relaxed atmosphere and good food. Great for pre or post drinks when going to the quarterhouse.

Th old buoy is a hidden gem in Folkestone. We had just visited Brussels and subsequently stumbled upon this special place. We were full of excitement as we walked through the door. It could not have met our expectations better. The atmosphere is lively and gezellig(for any Dutch speakers). The beers couldn't be more authentic and delicious ( there had been special care taken to source the most loved and special Belgian brews). We csnt wait to visit again. Looking forward to trying the food too

Stumbled across this amazing piece of Belgium in Folekstone. I've driven past many a time and never noticed it. The Flemish stew was too die for!!!!! I've had some amazing stew in Belgium and this is up there Will definitely be returning for more stew and to explore the menu further

Absolutely lovely little place packed with character. Service is wonderful Very small menu but inexpensive food comes fast, and is delicious. You can take your dog there too. A real gem Super recommend mussels and chips.

Didn't eat, but friends enjoyed their food. Nice beer selection and friendly staff and chilled atmosphere.

The food is absolutely delicious, my only criticism which is probably pretty vital, the ratio of carbs to meat/veg is completely out of wack, it's all pasta, I had to find the teeny tiny bits of asparagus tonight, in an absolute mountain of tagliatelle.

My favourite bar in Folkestone has a Belgium twist, where a Zeeland chef makes amazing mussels! They were recommended, and rightly so. I was thinking white wine, but a glass of Bolleke beer complimented them so well. A must do!

Quite honestly spectacular! I had the Flemish Beef Stew and a Bolleke and it was simply divineeeee... If you like that Belgian, European vibe then you will absolutely love this. The food was exquisite and extremely reasonably priced considering the quantify and quality of what you are getting. Amazing!

Lovely place for a Wednesday afternoon coffee and delicious plate of Tagliatelle with asparagus and pecorino. First class

What a find! Fabulous atmosphere, delicious food and great Belgian beer on tap. Highly recommend a visit, but get there early as not many tables and it gets busy.

On a rainy day in Folkestone we stumbled across this Belgian themed bar/resturant. We were blown away with the quality of the food. The slow cooked beef was unbelievable, so rich and tasty. The pasta dishes are the best in town. Highly recommended. Great value for money, friendly owners, we will be back.

Although a little rustic this Belgium bar is friendly and serves a great range of beers from the continent. The menu is small but our party has now tried most dishes and they are highly recommended. Best for me the Flemish Beef Stew, deliciously rich and beefy. Fruit cider isn't available so I tried the strawberry beer which was surprisingly good. Small inside and may appear a bit blokey this place is definitely worth a visit for the food. Mussels are also brilliant reminiscent of holidays in France.
