Awesome. Delicious, 'hungry cyclist' portions of nachos and burritos washed down with some classic cocktails. Wish they were closer to home!

Arrived very hungry around 9pm after a long day in the car and they magic-ed up some delicious quesadillas for us. Dogs are also welcome!

Fantastic service, exotically good portion sizes, delicious food. No doubt the best Burritos on the South East Coast

Burrito Buoy is a great place to eat and drink. The food is delicious and good value - I had the cheesiest quesadillas I have had in a long while - and the welcome is warm and friendly. Also, right next to Folkestone’s Quarterhouse arts venue. Highly recommended

Looked promising. Good atmosphere. Alll fine until I wanted to swap sour cream out of bowl options as I can't eat it..... The resulting reaction from waitress was like I'd asked for something so shocking and impossible of course it couldn't be accommodated... Yadda Yadda....not in so many words of course... The food was then very sadly too salty..... Oh dear.... An off night I'm sure.....

We visited this restaurant today after seeing several positive social media reviews and made a special trip to Folkstone from London with the intention to try it. The food looked delicious, and we were eager to experience what others had been raving about. When we arrived earlier in the day, a handwritten sign on the door indicated that the restaurant would open at 4 pm. We made plans to return, but when we came back at 4:45 pm, we were met with an unusual situation. There was a bench blocking the entrance, and as we approached, three young children (under the age of 10) began shouting at us, repeatedly telling us that the restaurant wasn’t open yet. The handwritten sign had been changed to say they wouldnt be open until 5 pm. The children seemed to be calling out to their mother, who was shouting back at them: it was an incredibly unprofessional, discombobulating, and disappointing experience. What could have been a simple, polite communication was instead chaotic and poorly handled. We understand that sometimes things can run behind schedule, but the way this was managed left a lot to be desired. We would have expected more professionalism, particularly when it came to customer service. Overall, it was a frustrating and disappointing experience, and it has certainly impacted our desire to return.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at burrito bouy, and I can confidently say it was one of the best Mexican meals I've ever had! From the moment I walked in, the warm, vibrant atmosphere set the tone for an authentic and delightful experience. I started with the guacamole, which was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The chips were warm and crispy, a perfect match! I had the pulled pork burrito and they were simply out of this world—juicy, tender pork wrapped in soft tortillas with just the right amount of spice. Every bite was a burst of flavor! The service was impeccable. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made great recommendations. The margaritas were also a standout—refreshing and strong, with just the right balance of tangy and sweet. If you're looking for a truly exceptional Mexican dining this is the place to go. Visited with friends recently just for an evening out. We love mexican food and wanted to try this place out. We certainly weren't disappointed. Portions were huge for a decent price and the food was very good. We had quesadillas and wet burritos, all were delicious. We made a mistake of ordering sharing nachos too, as it was just way too much and we left a lot of the nachos which was a shame. We ended up going a week later with family and knew not to order too much this time, but we still ended up with leftovers. The food was just as good as the first time and this time we took home what we left to eat the following day!

First but not the last visit to Burrito Buoy. Lovely little place. Food was incredible, generous portions and well presented. Very good value too in my opinion. Service was cheerful, friendly and efficient, checking everyone's individual requirements when ordering too. Nothing to fault, had a great meal and a great time. Thank you BB!

Great atmosphere with gigantic and incredibly tasty burritos. My personal fave tho is the pulled pork quesadilla which is literally to die for and the quality is always to the highest consistency. Love love love and can't wait to go back

We became fans of Burrito Buoy when they first opened on the arm, it was the loaded nachos that got me and my partner hooked. So we were really excited to visit when they opened up their own restaurant, which didn't disappoint! The interior is amazing, really quirky and you can tell it's been put together with tons of careful consideration, the attention to detail is spot on. The vibe is great, really awesome beers on draft too, you've got to try the Bobby Dazzler! The Margarita's are well worth a try too, pretty much one the very best in town! Food portions are huge, all super fresh and great value for money. We are regulars now, we love this place!

Best mexican food in town, you can always taste the freshness and love put into it. Great staff and very friendly athmosphere too, always served with a smile. We visited this burrito buoy restaurant yesterday very excited to try the.burritos. We order one of each style main meal. The burritos are wrapped up in paper. When the burrito was lifted to be eaten the whole thing collapsed to make a mushy pile of vomit, which included a ton of sour cream and rice, also paper and foil which was impossible to separate.. There was pulled pork but you couldn’t really see it under the slimy mess. It was impossible for my daughter to eat such an uninviting pile of ? that tasted like sour cream. Luckily we had ask for less cheese although we would never know as the mound of slime was unrecognisable. The quesadilla was just as revolting. It is basically a big flat bread with an enormous amount of burnt cheap cheddar with a sprinkle of pork which again could not be easily seen as it was hidden inside the enormous lump of burnt cheap cheddar. I managed two bites and stopped. I had to really force myself to try a second bite. The nachos were just another pile of melted burnt cheese and lots of slime, advacado, sour cream etc and about 10 nachos somewhere at the bottom. The lager sold on tap was the nicest refreshing beer I’ve had for a long time which was greatly appreciated after trying to eat the food at burrito buoy. The main staff were very nice but the waiting staff were a little bit dozy and gave the impression they didn’t want to be serving tables.

Love this place and how great to see them in a permanent place after being on The Arm, great Aperol spritzer, Lunch option great value too.

A group of 3 of us went for a meal here, it was a very busy Saturday night, the service was brilliant, really quick and supportive. The place is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated! It was a fantastic atmosphere! The food was delicious and generous portions too. We will definitely be coming back!

A lovely evening with great food. We ordered the rum tropical cocktails and they were delicious! Staff were really friendly, both the new waitress and the lovely Reuben that served our food ( who gave helpful tips as how to tackle the beast of a burrito!) Unfortunately there were some noisy children sat behind us, hence the drop in star for ambience, but you can't hold that against them.

Just the best! There is a distinct lack of authentic Mexican food around, and Burrito Buoy more than fills that gap. Everything on the menu is delicious, you will not be disappointed here. No Old-El-Paso salsa in sight. Just fresh, vibrant, homemade food bursting with flavour. I love the hot sauce donkey too, so you can choose your weapon - Valentina for me please! Great veggie/vegan selection too. We love it here so much and will continue to come back.

A small cozy restaurant with a quirky interior and a great atmosphere that serves really fresh food with wonderfully authentic Mexican flavours, and everything is available as a vegan option, too. What a wonderful find of a place. It is a small cosy place with few tables, does have a small rear garden with tables and chairs. Small bar selling a good range of alcoholic/non alcoholic drinks. Food is fantastically fresh and tasty, packed full of flavour and plenty of fillings to fill you up. Reasonable prices too. Staff are super friendly and very helpful...Highly Highly recommended 😁

Recently visited the restaurant, so easy to reach and a stones throw from the harbour. Food was outstanding, I had the wet burrito whilst my husband went for quesadilla. Neither of us were disappointed. Food is fresh and tasty with good size portions. The atmosphere was so warm and friendly. The cocktails were an added extra to. Can't wait for our next trip to Folkstone.

Wow absolutely huge burrito and delicious. The staff are friendly worth a small walk from the harbour. Well worth coming back for and maybe next time I will figure out how to eat the giant burrito with my dignity intact.

I've been in UK seven years ...moved here after two years in Mexico ...this place has the best Mexican food I've had since Mexico ! Unbelievable! Just like Mexico except the portions are huge ...taste is authentic and staff is extremely friendly ...I recommend it to anyone ...love you guys ...wish you were open tonight ...I will be back ... The best take away food place in Folkestone. If you are craving nachos or burritos - THIS is the place. The food, service and general vibe is exquisite. I highly recommend the black bean burrito (veggie) - the ingredients are so fresh, I find myself craving them all the time. I find the portions quite big so have 1/2 for lunch and the other 1/2 for dinner. Drinks are not watered down and come in substantially sized cups. I recommend the Paloma cocktail. My family visited from overseas last summer and we all sat on the harbour, drinking cocktails, eating nachos while listening to live DJs as the sun was setting - it was one of my favourite days of the year. So happy Burrito Buoy is back open on the Arm and looking forward to showing off this gem to friends and family over the summer.

My friend and I were walking to the Harbour Arm and he started telling me about this place. He didn't think it would be open on a Thursday, but we were so chuffed to see it was open (as he had visited before and loved it). The Harbour Arm was pretty quiet, so we didn't have any queues to contend with, and a quick glance at the menu was all I needed. This place was definitely my cup of tea! l ordered the Big Buoy Bowl (Refried pinto beans, lime & coriander rice, cheese, sour cream, salsa, black olives, pickled jalapeños, salad & garnish, with tortilla chips) and my friend had the Big Buoy Burrito (huge tortilla wrap stuffed with refried pinto beans, lime & coriander rice, cheese, sour cream, salsa, pickled jalapeños, black olives, salad & garnish). Both were absolutely amazing. One of the tastiest things I have eaten in recent years! I will 100% be going back for more as soon as I can and suggest you get yourself on down there too 😊
