Really lovely cafe the two ladies working were really friendly and professional, service was quick and the food was fresh and well presented. The cafe itself is immaculately clean and it’s nice to see a few original features like the big old bank safe.

No atmosphere, you need to grab a seat by the radiator if they are on. Prices are a bit to high for what you get.

Very cold atmosphere needs some greenery to break up the coldness. It was December but no heating on

The Old Bank Tearoom has been open for less than a year and is going from strength to strength! Lots of free parking spaces within a very short distance. Lovely neutral decor downstairs, slightly richer upstairs. Food is high quality, tasty, good value & there is a good choice. The coffee is excellent! The staff are friendly and helpful. Nice touches include the old safe downstairs which is now home to a delightful collection of piggy banks! The 'facilities' are pristine & have very pleasant reed diffusers & instead of paper towels or hot air dryers there are individual mini towels. Going back next week!!

This is a lovely little tearoom, which we visited while staying with relatives in the town. We had the bacon, Brie and cranberry panini, and a prawn jacket potato. Both with salad. I particularly liked the fact that the butter and sauce for the prawns were presented separately so I could use them to suit myself. Pudding was a banana sponge with salted caramel sauce and ice cream. Lovely light sponge and altogether delicious. Excellent coffee made up the meal. Good value for money, and friendly staff.

On a freezing December morning I needed cheering up. The Old Bank Tearoom was just the place I needed. It was very smart and welcoming and scrupulously clean. My order for a sandwich and a most necessary pot of tea appeared rapidly. The sandwich with a most attractive garnish was freshly made and delicious. The tea was hot and tasted perfect accompanied by a tiny shortbread. This is a very welcome addition to Aspatria- free parking only yards away and deserves to do well. We will be back shortly.

We went for lunch today...the place has been nicely 'done up' with wooden floors and nice furniture. Staff were attentive and the food, whilst not flashy was tasty and reasonably priced. There were a few people coming and going and the menu is extensive enough to have something for everyone. All in all a decent cafe and worth popping into for lunch or a snack.

Visited late August with friends to try the afternoon tea (24 hour's notice is needed) and it was amazing a lovely mix of sandwiches cake's and scones coffee and tea are included in the £15 per person staff were attentive without being overbearing. Will definitely be returning very soon to try some of the other food on offer.

Popped in last week for a cuppa with the misses. Decided to have dinner in there as it was about that time for food. Coffee and tea was spot on, as were the bacon, Brie and cranberry paninis. Will definitely be back soon 👍🏻

While looking for food we stumbled on this lucky find. The Bothy is a very welcoming themed cafe, due to most other venues in Kirby Stephen only serving drinks that day the bothy was busy but we still received a warm welcome and advised we would have a wait, we didn’t mind so placed our order. The food was different, not the cheapest but absolutely delicious, the staff even though very busy were so polite and kept us informed of progress with our order. A bit more of an offer for children would be a bonus.

We go to The Bridge about 4 times per year. We are not very extravagant but when we do eat out we want it to be better than I can make at home. Any guest we bring with us all love it too. Every meal we’ve had here has been excellent! My favourites are Twice Baked Cheese Soufflé, The Seafood Linguini, my hubby loves the Fish & Chips (he has this every time he goes, lol) . My son loves the Squid starter and I also love the Pate when it’s on. I had a gorgeous fish course in spring but I forget the name of the fish which was the whitest fish I’ve ever seen. I highly recommend Bridge Bistro.

If you like ice cream, you will love this place. Excellent range of superb ice cream at a very reasonable price. Great to be able to sit and enjoy it whilst looking over to the Pennines with the production team (Jersey cows) chomping away. Very friendly staff.

Had an excellent early supper, starters were beautiful, good selection, tasty and well presented . The mains, steaks and a roast dinner were equally good. Substantial portions and cooked exactly to our specifications. We had delicious desserts and everything was complemented by some very good wines. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The chef obviously uses quality ingredients and is extremely competent . Lovely ambience, delicious supper.
