The Old Bank is a stunning bar with a beautiful aesthetic—definitely a must-see! The drinks were amazing, but the long queue at the bar was a downside, taking around 30 minutes just to order. Inside, the music was so loud that it was difficult to have a conversation, but they do host live music, which I’ve heard is really good. Despite the wait, it’s worth a visit for the atmosphere and great drinks!

This place is worth visiting not only because of it's beautiful interior but great staff who are not only helpful but cheerful too. The only thing that is annoying is that you have to wait ages for a staff member to come to you to order your food and when it's busy that could be ages. One member of staff on the floor is not fair on them as they work so hard. They also have live music.

Called in after looking around for a place to have breakfast before going on walkabouts, ooh let's try here, not been in before, the place is set out with booths, table and chairs, a mezzanine with the bar centre stage, huge chandeliers hang from the ceiling with marbled columns scattered about, the ambience was great. We were seated straight away and served within a few minutes, the staff were lovely and friendly and our drinks were on the table approx 5 mins later. We ordered the 2 large breakfasts with a cup of coffee and a glass of OJ, thw food was very tasty and filling, must admit the sausages were one of the best I've ever eaten. All this was less than £30, 5☆☆☆☆☆ all round, thank you so much

We were looking for a place to have Scouse as first time visitors to the city. A lovely pair of ladies let us share their big booth table with them on a Sunday evening as there were not other spots available. My friend had the scouse which was great, and I had the best roast dinner of my life - generous service of the beef. Only shame was that the advertised cauliflower cheese on the menu was all out. Fantastic value at £12 though. We enjoyed our meals and the live music was great too. I am sure we will return if we are ever in Liverpool again. We were going to go to 2 other places nearby that rated highly for their scouse - one stopped serving food at 5pm, which we weren't aware of until we arrived at 5.15pm, and the other one was a very "blokey" pub feel which was not really our style as 2 ladies visiting a new city. The Old Bank was perfect and I'm so glad we walked past it. The young blonde lady who served us was lovely and gave us some tips about places to visit in the city. The ladies we shared the table with were disappointed with their fish and chips ones they saw my roast!

My sister and I were in Liverpool on a Christmas shopping trip, and I was craving a full Christmas dinner or Sunday lunch. We were recommended to go to 'The Old Bank!' by another restaurant, as they were not serving Sunday lunches and 'The Old Bank' had a fantastic reputation for their Sunday lunch. We were not disappointed - the atmosphere was charming, with Christmas carols playing, and our lunches were delicious. My sister had ordered a child's portion of turkey, and I had the roast beef. The food was excellent, with generous portions and a wide range of accompaniments. The service was also top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff. When it came time to pay, we were pleased to find that the child's portion was priced accordingly, making it a great value. Overall, I would highly recommend 'The Old Bank' for a delicious and satisfying Sunday lunch.

Very impressed all round by this pub restaurant. Built in an old bank and keeping much of that feel, there's a great atmosphere as soon as you enter. We came at a very busy time and needed to eat and leave within 50 minutes. No problem, they said. They didn't lie. Within fifteen minutes we had our food and drinks and were tucking in. I couldn't believe the prices. We thought there must be a catch, but there wasn't. Our fish and chips was tasty and even the mushy peas (that most restaurants fail at) were delicious. Beautiful building. It was a busy Saturday afternoon when I visited and there was some live music playing (young girl on guitar) which was nice. It was very busy and there were lots of hen do’s which is likely due to its location being near some popular hotels and James st station. The Guinness was a bit disappointing, but there were several drinks options and offers. I sat outside for my second drink and unfortunately it was right underneath the kitchen fan - this can’t be helped but try and avoid that seat if you chose to drink outside in front of the bar! This isn’t my usual type of establishment, but I can imagine it would be great for groups to come and have a few drinks. The staff were also very quick at serving everyone during a busy time. Even though there were negatives due to my personal al preference, i think the service and ambiance of the building were really good.

Got the scouse here only because it had great reviews. Can only assume those who have reviewed it were tourists who've never had scouse before. WAS NOT AUTHENTIC. Extremely salty. Not 1 potato. No beetroot. Very tiny portion. 1 slice of toast. Had picled red cabbage mixed in throughout for god knows why. That was like sweet and sour chinese chicken flavour. That would be passable if it was 2 quid. It was the same price as a Sunday roast.. so definitely try other places. Their scouse is NOT scouse. Scouse should have potatoes and either beetroot or pickled red cabbage ( if your daft ) ON THE SIDE FOR YOU TO ADD. There are so many other places that deserve your time and money. Avoid this place. Try Ma boyles maybe instead, or anywhere else really. No potatoes from a roman Catholic area in a stew is simply unforgivable. Some staff were nice though 👌

The Old Bank is an iconic, well located restaurant in Liverpool. With an exuberant, luxurious interior, you're transported in time into a time of grace and glory. The menu has a varied selection of drinks and food, all reasonbly priced and thus tremendous value for money. Its quality is also above average, not feeling frozen but fresh (even if it may be frozen - I'm not sure). Besides this, the staff is attentive and quick, although slightly more absent than my liking due to the numerous customers in the establishment, in contrast to the number of staff available. Regardless, the experience is overall 5-star for the price and value for money, good location and proximity to the station, quality and variety of the food, attentive and kind treatment by staff, and lastly, impressive decor. I'd recommend and come again.

Completely awful experience. We wanted to go to some place in Liverpool with soup and all these typical things. First, we were waiting for the waitress because she was petting a dog. We asked the waitress to clean our table twice. She completely ignored it. Then when she served our dinner we watch her cleaning other tables. Now I'm going to talk about the horrible food. The meat was burnt, the soup tasted disgusting and the other dish could be better. Furthermore, they said that they didn't have fish and chips which is one of the plates they offer. In short, I recommend you not to spend your money eating here because it is a very dirty place with bad service. Anyway it has good live music although too loud that your ears can explode.

Like so many pubs and bars these days, the Old Bank is quite literally an old bank. A grand building with a lot of old features, presumably kept or leftover from when the building was actually a bank. High ceilings, big old windows and a grand central bar area with seating to three sides. I've said repeatedly and commented in my other Liverpool based reviews that Liverpool is one of the friendliest cities, and the staff at The Old Bank were/are no different. They were really chatty, happy, helpful and so friendly. It's how the city is and almost everyone that we've come across has been exactly that, happy and friendly. We popped in for a few drinks before heading out for our evening meal. We viated during Happy Hour, with IPA on tap for a pint for £3.50 👍 and two-for-one cocktails for £9 - and that was for the same or two different cocktails, which is good, as so many place restrict two-for-one cocktails to the same one; so that pleased Mrs G. Another good thing about the Old Bank was the live music, a good singer who didn't kill any of the songs that he sang. Plus he didn't take a break in the hour or so that we were at the Old Bank. So a good atmosphere and music appreciated by everyone. Level 9 Google reviewer; 1,000 plus reviews, 1.5 million views and over 12,000 photos with over 45 million views and still going strong 💪. Although I'm not enamoured with Google and their service at the moment 🤷🏻‍♂️. They're inconsistent. Check out my other reviews 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟.

Always love the Everyman theatre. Staff are always polite and willing to help. Lots of toilets but would recommend going way before the start of whatever you're seeing as the queues are very long on intermission and just before the show. Quite busy, always queues for the bar, so would recommend getting there ahead of time if you want drinks/snacks before your show. There are lifts available and staff are very willing to sign post them and give you information for which floor is needed for your tickets etc. There was always a member of staff within eyesight at all times for any questions.

Really rude staff, especially the old grumpy man who was on the till. No customer service. The coffee looked nice but wouldn’t know how it tastes as I wasn’t allowed to order one without food and after reading the hygiene reviews on here I didn’t want to eat. Very unwelcoming
