Great bar with good beers 🍻. Live music though out the day, would recommend Ben Burke singer for a good afternoon entertainment.

Lovely pub, great building and staff.

Service is a little slow. They may be understaffed. The food was delicious and the prices are very reasonable.

I just love this bar. I've only ever visited for drinks so can't comment on the food.

Was in today for a roast dinner which delightful. Staff very kind and helpful, with some lovely music on. 10/10 would go again!!

Stopped off mid afternoon on a wet february afternoon. We enjoyed two cooked meals, saff was very friendly

Table booked for 10. Gave us a booth too small to sit 10 so two people had to stand. Took over 1 hour for someone to come over to serve us - ended up asking the bar to send someone over. Music far too loud to even speak to other guests and this was at 6pm. The place needs to decide if it’s a live band bar or a restaurant. Music well over 95 decibels (kept getting alerts on watch).

They serve Blue Moon here, always stop & have if I'm in the area, use to go every Sunday in days gone by, not any more ive music's changed & it's far to loud, but maybe that's what is like nowdays.

Excellent, tasty dish of scouse. Lovely singing and guitar accompaniment made our evening.

First time trying the dish 'Scouse' and I am glad I did, I understand it's a staple of the Liverpool food scene. I was searching for a bowl of this hearty stew all over and couldn't find any, until I by chance stumble across the Old Bank. Washing it down with a very good pint of Guinness I was more than satisfied and didn't need to eat until way later into the evening (it does the job). The pub itself lacked a bit of atmosphere, but I think that may have been circumstantial to the time of day. Staff were friendly, and service was quick.

Love the inside of this place. Different from usual bars. Decent atmosphere,started getting busier as the afternoon went on. Prices on drinks were decent.

This pub was beside our hotel, so it was convenient for us. We had breakfast one morning and another evening we went in for drinks and entertainment. The service was very good on both occasions. The live music in the evenings was excellent. The drinks were nice. Breakfast was okay, not amazing, but not terrible. I would return again for the drinks and music.

Always way too loud and hot. You can barely talk to someone next to you don't even try if in a larger group

Décevant. Nous avions envie de manger un sunday roast, mais il a fallu attendre+1h pour commander ce plat spécial du dimanche ( il était 13h00) Après avoir attendu 1h il ne nous a pas été possible de commander notre sunday roast ( encore attendre 15min) Nous avons finalement commandé autre chose.

Fuimos para probar el estofado típico de la ciudad (scaush) y fish and chips. De lo primero no tenían ese día, una pena. De beber dos pintas de cerveza coors. Pedimos de entrante unas salchichas envueltas en hojaldre. El plato de pescado muy bueno, al final pedimos un entrecot que lo hicieron a la parrilla. Había música en directo y el trato por parte de los camareros fue muy bueno.

Lovely warm & welcoming pub, friendly & helpful staff. Disappointing food served on stone cold plates, the chilli chicken starter was smothered in RAW red chilli, to any cook/chef this is a no no !!!

Went on a wed night, very quiet so lacked atmosphere.

Nice relaxed place the live guitarist was very loud though, but then I'm old and miserable.

The staff are always friendly and go out there way to help the meals are good the only thing it gets busy and sometimes they have different options and you are visiting a historical building the staff are friendly and helpful if you have a preference they'll try and sort it and it near the liver building and near the trains I have been going through the meals on the menu and the food is very good

Bad Guinness Larger wasn't much better music was deafeningly loud! Beautiful building mind maybe nor a venue for me

We only stopped for drinks. The atmosphere was great. Really enjoyed it.

Зайшли сюди, після досить довгого пошуку місця де поїсти. Мені сподобалось. Дуже привітна та швидка офіціантка обслуговувала нас. Замовили суп дня, мʼясо з овочами, та десерт. Суп - дуже смачний. Порція мʼяса з овочами досить велика та смачна. Несподівано, ми наїлися. Куди там ще і десерт. Чизкейк правда був не дуже. Але то не зіпсувало враження. Так жива музика - супер, але реально гучно. А ще були відкриті двері, було прохолодно.

Fun. Nice wine. But my goodness the live music was too loud. We had a private party on the mezzanine floor and we could barely hear ourselves think.

Durant la visita a Liverpool hi vam anar dos cops: un a dinar fish and chips i un a prendre unes pintes. El lloc és molt maco, ample i agradable. El fish and chips estava molt bo. Tenen música en directe a un volum que permet parlar i estar tranquil.

Tuesday 3rd October 2023 This real ale pub outside james street station served a couple of hand pumped ales on tonight had a good atmosphere inside and the staff was good it was a mysic based pub with a large single roomed well looked after interior to it

Just terrible food,we went in late but my wife said her friend recommended it,what a mistake.Both ordered chicken burgers,the worst I have ever eaten,chips was cold one side and hot the other side,I ordered lemonade which tasted weird,that was not lemonade. Didn't eat it after tasting it,the guy at least apologised for the terrible food and gave us 25% off, which I think was not enough at all. So I don't recommended this place at all.

Only place we went that had a good vibe and wasn't full of students.

Busy, friendly, food looked good and affordable

Absolutely love this place food is amazing and at £10 a meal is so good and for the portions u get is well worth it, atmosphere is brilliant everyone's so friendly feels like they are like family in here, the live bands and singers are great touch too, from the floor, bar and chef staff its a fab place you all should be so proud of yourself brilliant place well recommend it.

Waited a while to get served and the food took over 45 minutes for food. Very disappointing experience

Visited yesterday was our 49th wedding anniversary husband had fish and chips I had steak and chips £10 each food was excellent waitress was lovely very friendly building beautiful would highly recommend set us up for the day celebrating in liverpool thank you

Changed my drink, as it didn't taste like it should of. Definitely cheap spirits in a premium bottle. Never again!

Warm food, warm service. Great place.

Just popped in for a quick drink however we decided to have something to eat. With it being Sunday, the Sunday roast was chosen. We'll, I have to say, it was bloody lovely. Tasty, nice and fresh and plenty if it. Reasonably priced too at £10.00. Would highly recommend.

Cenamos en Liverpool en este restaurante. Es precioso por dentro, llegamos 10 minutos antes de cerrar cocina y nos atendieron divinamente y rápido. Fueron muy educados y atentos. Tampoco fue un precio excesivo, Liverpool no es Londres. La comida, aceptable, hablamos del Reino Unido.... 🤷🤷

Es una antigua oficina de banco reconvertida en pub, lo que le da un aire peculiar entre decadente y sofisticado. Es u buen lugar para probar el plato típico de la ciudad: el escouse. Muy bueno y en cantidad generosa. El servicio es tremendamente amableny eficiente y el precio es muy razonable.

Had a roast beef meal absolutely fantastic for £10 each could not finish it first time there will definitely go again well done to all the staff warm and friendly atmosphere 😀 👍

Completely awful experience. We wanted to go to some place in Liverpool with soup and all these typical things. First, we was waiting for the waitress because she was petting a dog. We asked the waitress to clean our table twice. She completely ignored it. Then when she served our dinner we watch her cleaning other tables. Now I'm going to talk about the horrible food. The meat was burnt, the soup tasted disgusting and the other dish could be better. Furthermore, they said that they didn't have fish and chips which is one of the plates they offer. In short, I recommend you not to spend your money eating here because it is a very dirty place with bad service. Anyway it has good live music although too laud that your ears can explode.

My boyfriend asked the guy who was playing on his guitar if he could do a song which he did and surprised me. Great atmosphere, Great staff

Une excellente surprise ! Ambiance chaleureuse avec une bonne ambiance, un très beau lieu. La nourriture est excellente, digne des bons plats anglais, pour un prix plus que raisonnable (c'est pas en France qu'on verrait ça). Service impeccable, bref tout est très sympa, je recommande chaudement !

A wonderful traditional, classic pub. The food was the best. We loved the atmosphere. We have the best time.

We had Ceasar Salad, Barbecue chicken wings, children's fish & chips with sides of cheesy garlic bread, onion rings and chips. All the food was served together , hot food, nice and hot. Salads nice and fresh and tasty. The kids never left a scrap, we struggled to finish our Ceasar Salads only because there was plenty and we had chips as well. The staff were friendly and efficient.

Nous avions envie de goûter un bon Fish and chips et avons testé celui de ce bar. Le service était rapide et la serveuse très sympathique, malgré l'heure (plus de 14h). Le fish and chips était très bon et à un prix plus qu'abordable comparé à d'autres endroits (10 pounds), accompagné d'une purée de petit pois. Rien à dire, nous y retournerions ! :)

The food was over cooked and looked like it had been thrown in the deep fat fryer . The beans came in a pot never a good presentation on a meal. Which ruined the taste of the English breakfast

The soup of the day was really good. The quality of the food was incredible. On going Ashesh series was fun at the bar. Really cool place with nice music. Love it.

Popped in for a pint, on a visit to Liverpool, had passed it by previously, that was a mistake, lovely bar, great service from chatty staff... Nice ambience reminded me of the Bank in Dublin, not as grant, but still wonderful, don't be like me pop in!!

The Old Bank, you should be ashamed of your prices - £5.60 for a pint of Coors!! Wouldn't of minded the price it it was a premium lager but Coors? Absolute rip off, won't be going back again, such a shame as we always used to pop in when over in town.

We popped in on a friday for some dinner and drinks. The staff were friendly and polite. The food was spot on and it had a brilliant atmosphere. When we went there were 2 live singers one after the other which was great. And i loved the character of the old building. I'd definitely recommend this pub.
