Stay away! Didn’t have the option of no stars!!!The carvery looked as though it had been there since Sunday, today is Thursday! Dry as anything, everything was burnt and dried out! Garlic breaded mushrooms full of water - 3 mushrooms in a bowl, not a bit of salad! We ordered the Eton Mess dessert and asked to replace the strawberry cheesecake ice cream with another clotted cream ice cream. It arrived with 5 tiny pieces of meringue and 1 scoop of ice cream! 1 strawberry cut into 4!!! We told the waitress (young waitress) whose face was tripping her) there was no meringue, she said she would go and get us some! She came back with a meringue nest cut in half!! Highly disappointed and will not visit again !!

Would not recommend that you go here after 4pm, . Food was terrible, cold shrivelled and dry. I have never had a carvery like it in my life. Had to wait whilst the chef was called twice, complained to the manager to no response wondered why not many people had the carvery, then it was clear. Told by customers in there that is why they dont have the carvery but unfortunately we had already ordered and paid. Never again. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY

I visited today with my husband and son and couldn’t have faulted anything! Love how the bone carvery options are still available on a Sunday!! Definitely a winner when persuading my husband to go for a carvery (it just isn’t this thing!!)! All of the food was absolutely gorgeous! Husband had a burger and me and my toddler had a carvery (with an extra boat of gravy for the table) all was absolutely on point and couldn’t be faulted!! The app was really helpful for drink top ups mid meal too and the free ice cream welcomed by my little boy! Jo who welcomed us, brought over drinks and served us ice cream was incredible! Definitely made the day that bit extra! Be back soon!

Great evening again, gardens were busy so we didnt think we would get a table however the lovely lady at the front was extremely welcoming and shown us to a table and explained how to order either on the app or at the bar. Bar service was polite from Emma, food was delicious highly recommend the chip shop supper. Upon leaving we were asked if we had enjoyed our visit by Sarah (lovely lady at the front) and proceeded to hand her a tip to which she replied thank you for the offer but I would much rather you left us a review. First time this has ever happened to us at an eatery as the staff normally take the tip as they expect one. Absolutely overwhelmed, Thank you for such a lovely evening.

Louise made us feel very welcome for our first visit here this weekend, a great place with great food and great staff.

We pre booked the adults side only to find we were sitting next to a family with 3 very loud children, why??????? There is a family side!! We ordered using the app from the table and after a VERY long time we realised the drinks we had ordered were not going to be brought to us any time soon, so we collected them ourselves from the bar. Both of our meals were cold when served, also, my gammon wasn't just cold it was raw on one end ...... see attached photo. Needed to get out ASAP. This is such a pity, I used to like it here and I'll probabl give it one more chance. My recommendation would be to only seat the number of customers you can cope with. Don't let standards drop. And don't make your customers ill with raw meat.

We have been before for carvery and it was delicious so brought some of our family along. They all really enjoyed the carvery and were impressed by the selection of meats and vegetables. Our waitress Sarah was amazing she was interacting with all the tables sat in our area and kept checking everyone had everything they needed, also observed her seating guests and cleaning tables, she actually made our visit and we will definitely be back. Cakes are huge and we were even brought boxes to take the leftovers home. Sarah is a credit to your business.

Lovely meal for my dad’s birthday. Food was hot and service lovely staff especially Louise who was run off her feet and still smiling. Had a voucher for free kids meals. Will be back again.

This is a great pub in a lovely stately home. The food is very good, and was served by friendly staff. We all had to sit outside as Covid rules didn't allow indoor dining, but even a drop of rain couldn't spoil a very enjoyable afternoon. A lot has changed since I wrote this! We're back inside, food still good, staff still friendly. Only one negative, no draught Abbot or IPA . Still we had a lovely Father's day with a nice bottle of wine. Bottled Speckled Hen also available.

We visited on a Saturday afternoon. The carvery was popular with our group but the real highlight was the service. Our server, Louise, was incredibly friendly and went over and above encouraging our 3 year old nephew to eat his food. She was absolutely lovely and made our afternoon! The venue was busy but there was plenty of seating. Bar service was quick and efficient and prices very reasonable.

Staff very helpful and very kind to my Mum who had a fall before we arrived at Allerton Hall. Jo Jo brought her a cold compress to put on her face to ease the swelling. Always a lovely place to visit and the service was second to none. Must also add that the cakes where delicious

Awful ordered 2 mixed grills sausage missing had finshed eating by the time the sausage turned up , think they wanted us to share it , my daughters fries were stone cold but she wouldn't let me complain expensive and will not be returning any time soon

Lovely pub, decent enough pub food had fish and chips, good portion sizes, really friendly staff, they also do a nice carvery here.

So this was my first visit to Allerton Hall, have to say it was a nice view to see a historic hall. Car park is a reasonable size and they do have a playground in the yard for kids if needed. The venue itself is not overly big on the inside for seating area but manageable if not mega busy. Our order was - Beef Lasagne, The Crispy Medley. Both meals were cooked perfect couldn't complain one bit, the timing for food was good and the service provided by Mark, Lydia and Ella was top notch. Will certainly come back and try the carvery another time and see what that is like.

Called in, midweek for a carvery. I’ve given 3 stars as the pub itself is lovely and meat was cooked perfectly. The rest of the meal was sloppy and over cooked. The carrots and broccoli were discoloured at the edges, and completely dried out… and some of the serving tongues were too hot to hold. Normal menu may have been ok just wouldn’t have another carvery here

Food is lovely. Been many times for breakfast and carvery, never disappoints. Food is always hot and staff are lovely, shoutout to Ian and Mark.

Very tend to go here quite a lot But im rubbish on the phone, so my son books it for me I am disabled and use oxygen and sometimes a wheelchair and I'm always welcome

Me and my mum went here today for Mother's Day the service was fantastic and the food was amazing we both enjoyed it. I also want to thank Jojo who was our server and looked after us she had a chat with us for a few minutes and was relaxed when talking to us. My mum can talk the leg off anyone so Jojo was happy to answer any of our questions and was very pleasant in the short time she spoke to us. Me and my mum thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

Absolutely terrible service, constantly being told they needed the table, some of us were eating and some just drinks 12 in total. Some of group left due to service. Food was served and then we were told that we needed the table back. Perhaps they should consider that when orders are taken for food the timing when they need the table back. We generally hold our Christmas meal her but will be find an alternative venue after this experience. Manager came to see us but insisted they needed the table back. Food was quite good just need indigestion tablets??

Great place lovely surroundings

We didn't book a table at allerton hall but the staff kindly found us a table, very welcoming staff. Our food was brought to us quickly and the meals were fabulous, really recommend this place for a meal or just passing through for a drink of any kind. Really enjoyed the whole experience.

Had a carvery here today, it was luke warm .. Would have been excellent if hot! Good service and pudding was exceptional.

1st time visiting here with my sister and brother 😁 had the carvery was absolutely delicious 😋🤤 staff lovely 🌹 nice and relaxing will be back soon ❤️

Beautiful food great size pub fabulous walks

I was visiting my mum in Liverpool, so I decided to visit Allerton Hall Farm one evening, to try their carvery. I've been vegetarian for decades, and I've tried many Carverys over the years, some being good, and some not, but sadly Allerton Hall is definitely in the not good category. Firstly, the veg was overcooked, and the roast potatoes were hardly recognisable as they were so burned. But worst of all was the cheese and onion pie they offered as an alternative to meat. Why can't they offer nut loaf, or lentil patty, or something more nutritious than a cheese pie . And this cheese pie was possibly the worst cheese pie ever offered up for human consumption. Firstly, there was barely any filling inside. Secondly, the casing was probably as hard as the wooden table I was sitting at. So I can honestly say, I will not be coming back for another roast dinner from this establishment.

Visited yesterday as a family of 6 and we were blown away. Food was absolutely spot on. Sat ins the adult area with nice views. Accessible toilet which was much needed for 1 family member. Staff so nice and helpful. Will be back soon

Hi, I visited Allerton Hall on 02/03/2025 for my Birthday. I was so dissappointed in the amount of 2 slices of meat that was served onto my plate. There was more thickness in a Liverpool Echo page.The cheff must have been in a good bonus. It certainly spoilt my family visit.

JoJo was superb room host, food was fantastic, but bar staff need to concentrate more on queue system and serving

Celebrated my fathers 87th birthday here today, we had a lovely room, staff were wonderful and couldnt do enough for us. The food was outstanding, highly recommended .

Came here a couple years ago after a funeral for the family to have a drink to celebrate my grandmothers life. They said they had no space however we could stand at the bar with our drinks as soon as we ordered our drinks they told us we had to go outside in the pouring rain as we couldn’t stand by the bar after telling us we could they were so rude and inconsiderate despite knowing where we had just came from as we told them.

Brillant establishment. Truly help out in any way they can. Didn’t have any coleslaw at home for the pizza we were having and I asked reluctantly if I could get a tub of coleslaw to take away and not only did they say a suprising yes. I got 2 full tubs. 10/10 service saved my evening 🙌

Always a great service and great food Louise was really great and when she’s asked our son is he eating one more chip he turned round and said no but I’ll have one more fish finger. Louise was great and asked Ian the chef who happily obliged. Thank you both you made his day!!

Really brilliant food from a carvery to a breakfast brilliant staff just amazing atmosphere well worth the visit.

I was a little disappointed this time round. The booking was made via the app. It wouldn't let me pick the time I wanted, so I had to book a different time. When we got there, there were loads of empty tables and it wasn't much different when we left. The cauliflower cheese was just cauliflower. I asked where the cheese was, and the fella said it was in there, which it wasn't. The chef serving the meat was not very friendly. The other staff were lovely. The standard carvery is now £13.29, so it's much better value to go in the week for £6.99 for the same thing.

Another great meal at Allerton Hall...a favourite for the family. Staff are friendly and attentive...go out of their way to help. The food is great and enough choice for everyone. Family room is opposite the playground so you can keep an eye on them. Great place in a beautiful setting. A real gem!

Beautiful restaurant in an old country house within parkland. The food was delicious, desserts incredibly generous portions. The dining room was not too noisy so we could hold a conversation, rare these days!

Went here with my girlfriend the other day and the food was delicious. Ordered two yorkie wraps, a beef and a pink one which tasted great. Staff were lovely and very helpful especially Louise who served us on that day. 10/10 would definitely come again

Went off lunch set menu £8.99 for 2 courses, food was nice .. fish and chips but it is a tiny portion. Also ordered a chicken burger £11.99, daughter enjoyed this but I was then charged £7 more for an apple juice and lime and soda, this seems excessive, £28 in total, not worth it. In addition, I had to ask 3 times for dessert part of set menu which was an apple crumble, tasty but too long a wait. Friend also ordered set menu and got an starter of garlic bread and the carvery, £8.99 she also ordered lge childs meal deal, chicken combo and ice cream dessert, not sure how much kids meal was (however kids portion bigger than my adult set meal) and in addition a starter off main menu of halloumi fries £5 and 2 cokes and hers only came to £22 to my £28... wouldn't rush to return.

We fined at the Allerton Hall a few days ago, and from start to finish the experience was great. We rang ahead beforehand to discuss our group needing a wheelchair access, and one of the group being severely allergic to gluten - and the manager I spoke to on the phone was very helpful with addressing both of these issues. Upon arrival, we were helped in by a member of the team, and shown through to an accessible table. We opted to order from the main menu due to allergy concerns. We were initially served by Luke for drinks, but who then passed over to Mark as manager to take the order with someone who had a bit more knowledge of the allergy procedures - and whilst placing the order the chef on duty Chris happened to come by and also helped put our mind at ease about the policies/procedures that were in place to make things safe. It's great to see the allergy taken seriously, and everyone involved couldn't have been more helpful and understanding at every stage. The food itself was very nice as well, with our group going for a good mix of different types of dishes, but everyone being very satisfied at the end. All in all, a great experience. Our thanks go out to everyone involved in making our night.

Came today for a carvery while collecting my carvery what looked like the manger stormed into the kitchen an shouted oi nobhead while kids where walking around, the young girl behind the food counter let him know he was very loud in what he said for him to reply good. Disgusting way to be around custom let a lot how to speak to staff. Then while eating are food a member of staff came over and asked was we nearly finished was only there 20 minutes at this point, while paying for a meal you don’t want a member of staff coming over and rushing you on.

Food was lovely hot n fresh, lovely friendly staff and reasonable prices. Went for my birthday and got a gorgeous big Chocolate Eclair brought over with a sing song off Louise .. Highly recommend

Greeted at the door and directed to the breakfast room. We were first in and the breakfast bar had a huge selection of hot, fresh food. Tea and coffee were available and bread ready for toasting. Everything was delicious and all staff were really helpful (veggie sausages cooked to order as they spoil on the pass otherwise) and friendly. Great breakfast, great service and really good value.

Yet again, another amazing meal with exception service from Barry and the team! Even our friends agree. Excellent place yet to bring your family!

Woweeee!!! Visiting from London and brought here by my friend for a slap up roast on a Tuesday afternoon. The portions are so generous (thank you Karl for your kindness and friendliness) and absolutely delicious! What incredible value too - just amazing… Thank you Brian for looking after us so well…super informative and friendly. And Louise - thank you for the ice-cream (I’ll be back for more!!). Jojo and Marco collected plates and cleaned down our table with a smile. Nothing was too much trouble for this lovely lot. Just loved it here and wish I lived closer so I could come more often! I promise I’ll be back xxxx

We thoroughly enjoyed all that was on offer at tge carvery. Everything was cooked with care and delicious. Good value for money. I ordered the sirloin and although slight chewy it was cooked to perfection. Good seasoning and flavoursome. The place lucks ambiance. The waiting staff are very friendly. A special mention to Ella and Jojo.

Jojo was our server today. She was brilliant professional and attentive and made the time to play with my little boy. Couldn’t have been anymore helpful. Food was lovely and the men serving the food were great also. All staff so friendly!

I have been to Allerton Hall Farm many times. Each time I have been with my family we have had really lovely meals. The meals are well presented and have ample portions. The food is cooked to a good standard and I have never had a meal that I did not enjoy . The staff are very polite and helpful and the meals are reasonably priced to suit everyone. I have posted meals on Google maps and have numerous views on my meal.

Had a lovely afternoon with a friend who is a wheelchair user. The staff were all very helpful and welcoming. The food was enjoyable and served promptly with a smile. One server in particular (JoJo) was really exceptional. Been going to Allerton Hall since it first opened back in the 90’s. Keep up the good work. Will be back soon.

My partner and I eat here usually twice a month. We always have the carvery which is the best I have ever been to. The staff are always helpful and friendly. The overall equality of service and food is excellent

We went to breakfast with santa and it was fab as always. The breakfast items were all fully stocked on a regular basis. Sarah and the other staff were always visible and helped with any queries.

We visited as a family of 13 on Saturday 28th of December. Everything went extremely well thanks to Brian looked after us. He worked very hard and nothing was too much trouble. We made a few requests which were all honoured without any hesitation and it made the day go really well seeing family over Christmas. Would definitely recommend and be returning. Thank you to all the staff for a lovely time.

Great place, great food, friendly staff and plenty of parking. I had the mixed grill and it was great, others had the carvery and said it was really nice.

Enjoyed a terrific lunch with family. The food was excellent and good value. Jojo and Jordan took great care of our small party, ensuring our 93 year old grandmother was comfortable.
