Great place to grab lovely coffee and food at reasonable prices in the cafe bar. The staff here are amazing. Thank you to Gill from the Stage Door. My partner lost his bus pass here. Someone from the theatre rang the local council, and Gill was around for me to collect it from the next day. Such a great team at the theatre. We will both definitely go there for food and drink when next in Liverpool.

FOOD: We had the pre theatre night menu which was a tasty bowl of Scouse. Yes it ws more potato and carrots than beef .... but it was still tasty and welcoming on a very wet and windy night. Desert was a mince pie and custard ..... in fact a single portion contained 3 mince pies ..... so we shared them among us. PRICE: Very reasonable ..... bordering on being cheap for a theatre. All 5 of us had the Scouse which was only £6.50 with a bread roll. SERVICE / STAFF: Friendly and attentive and the food arrived very quickly LOCATION: A perfect eatery (Street Cafe / Bistro) within the Everyman AMBIENCE: Very nice and perfect for a pre theatre drink / coffee and food FACILITIES: Very good and gender neutral bogs. CONCLUSION: All round this was very good and the Street Cafe is open at lunchtime as well for all manner of dishes and butty's .....

We have been going to the pantomime at the Everyman for over 15 years. Last year saw a huge change with the director, the writer and the cast, and we didn’t think it was it was theusual brilliant production. Hoping for something better we went this afternoon, the story was a confused jig saw, the cast disappointing and even the music uninspiring. The humour not appropriate for children, couldn’t wait for it to finish and probably won’t go back next year. The only saving grace was Andy Keast, our Graham.

We went to the Murder Mystery dinner. The "show" was good. But the food was lukewarm and we couldn't buy a drink in the welcome area (we got a glass of prosecco on arrival but were sitting around for a while before being taken to our table downstairs). Then the bar ran out of change so couldn't take cash unless you had the exact amount. No condiments on our table. We were told that the bar wasn't serving hot drinks but then we saw that the next table had coffees. So everything surrounding the acting seemed disorganised, chaotic even, but the interactive show was very good.

Beautiful building. It was a busy Saturday afternoon when I visited and there was some live music playing (young girl on guitar) which was nice. It was very busy and there were lots of hen do’s which is likely due to its location being near some popular hotels and James st station. The Guinness was a bit disappointing, but there were several drinks options and offers. I sat outside for my second drink and unfortunately it was right underneath the kitchen fan - this can’t be helped but try and avoid that seat if you chose to drink outside in front of the bar! This isn’t my usual type of establishment, but I can imagine it would be great for groups to come and have a few drinks. The staff were also very quick at serving everyone during a busy time. Even though there were negatives due to my personal al preference, i think the service and ambiance of the building were really good.

I've been going here for more years than I care to say, (I'm in my 60s). I've moved away from the area recently but upon re-visiting Liverpool I thought, for nostalgia reasons I would try my old favourite chippy. What the hell happened?!? The food is now awful. I only had chips, meat pie, curry sauce and spring rolls and they can't even do that well anymore. This chippy was amazing back in the day. Now it's a shadow of its former self. I'm disappointed and I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Save your money, go elsewhere.
