Everyman Bistro and Street Cafe in Liverpool

They employ staff who listen in to/interfere with audience members conversations then report it back to managers. Really weird. Avoid this place unless you want a run in with the Gigstapo.

Staff extremely uninformative when asking the most basic of questions. Need to be more aware.

Amazing place! Vibrant, well maintained and the play was awesome! Well located too you can walk anywhere.

Nice venue. No complaints. Roughly a 10 minute walk from Lime Street station. Ps. Very nice Victorian pub close to Everyman (2 min walk) called the "Philharmonic". Full of nooks, crannies and character. Well worth a visit if you have time.

A good theatre. And surprisingly not expensive for drinks.

We went to see Shirley Valentine show. Brilliant script and performance. Very good view from almost everywhere. Not easy to get drinks either before show or during interval. No ice creams available at interval.

Lovely night, the Willy Russell event was a delight and well presented! Drinks at the bar were reasonably priced too!

I wish that patrons were not allowed to take bottles and cans into the theatre- the continual opening and pouring, and often chatting and whispering is very distracting. I think that along with telling people not to phone or photograph they should be asked not to talk during the performance. But we saw Shirley Valentine and it was brilliant. Without the continual disturbance from behind it would have been 5 stars.

Visited the Everyman to see Shirley Valentine. What a lovely theatre set out so theres not a bad seat in the house. Ordered drinks for the interval and all waiting for us .. so well organised.

I watched Shirley Valentine and it was amazing 🤩 the venue is easy to get too. Very clean and everyone who I spoke to has been amazing in helping me, change dates, pay a delayed fee with changing my dates etc… amazing!

Shirley Valentine was amazing certainly one of the best theatre productions we have seen. The theatre itself is perfect comfy seats great views of the stage so much so you feel every emotion from the cast.

We went to watch the play Shirley Valentine. Well worth seeing, Helen Carter plays the principal and only role in the play brilliantly. Her Scouse sense of humour comes through fantastically, we loved how she interpreted the role as did the rest of the audience.

Shirley Valentine was fabulous so well staged and Helen Carter was engaging funny and broke your heart in equal measure! So enjoyed it with a group of girlfriends and a few glasses of lady petrol🥂we were transported back to the 80's and realised how timeless a piece of theatre it is thank goodness for The Everyman and Willy Russell🎭

Fabulous poetry event in the cellar bar!

A wide variety of plays, many written and performed for the first time at the Everyman, make this theatre a place that is definitely worth visiting. The Christmas pantomime is always a great night out, no matter what your age is.

Went to see Shirley valentine acted by Helen Carter. Extremely entertaining! Helen nailed the part, funny, thought provoking and completely authentic. The time went by so quickly that I don’t remember fidget ing in my seat once. Thanks Helen, for a lovely night out to remember.👍⭐️

Always love the Everyman theatre. Staff are always polite and willing to help. Lots of toilets but would recommend going way before the start of whatever you're seeing as the queues are very long on intermission and just before the show. Quite busy, always queues for the bar, so would recommend getting there ahead of time if you want drinks/snacks before your show. There are lifts available and staff are very willing to sign post them and give you information for which floor is needed for your tickets etc. There was always a member of staff within eyesight at all times for any questions.

Went for the Rock n Roll panto, grandkids had a blast

We being Bit of Everything Drama have visited the Everyman for the Rock n Roll Panto for a number of years now and each year just gets better and better the guys never disappoint. Went to see Rapunzel the other night it was fantastic, don't know how you excell every year but you do, keep it up and see you all for this year's panto Thank you from everyone at Bit of Everything 👍💖👍💖👍💖👍💖👍💖

We went to see the panto on the 27th Dec. It was very colourful, the musicians were brilliant. The cast were good but the outstanding star of the show was the fairy fixer upper Adam Keast.

Watched the panto here with the family and we had a great time. The theatre is small and intermite. Such a nice venue. Panto was great,funny and joyful

I recently attended the panto at the Everyman Theatre with my family, and it was a fantastic experience overall. I booked seats in the circle, assuming all were accessible via lifts as my dad uses a wheelchair. Unfortunately, we discovered they weren’t. However, the staff were absolutely brilliant—so accommodating and quick to act. They arranged alternative seating for my dad and half our group, ensuring we could still enjoy the show together. Disaster averted, and we are so grateful for their kindness and efficiency. Thank you for turning a stressful moment into a memorable evening! The panto itself was top-notch, too!

Our first time to see a show. What a lovely intimate theatre. Rapunzel was fantastic - great set of actors. PS: the Cafe does the best Scouse during the day!!

Been coming here for years for the rock n rolls with no issue. Unfortunately this year was awful. As you can see our view was almost completely restricted. We spent the three or so hours hanging over the railing to watch what we could of the performance, I have an injured back so it became torture not being able to rest against my seat. I did contact the theatre about our disappointment, but got a rather rude reply from a man named Brandon who implied it was my fault. Apparently I’d sat in similar seats for another rock n rolla, and a performance back in 2016 which I don’t even remember, so it’s my fault I’d rebooked seats with no view

Brilliant shows and amazing staff definitely recommend going had an absolute ball

Make sure you bring your own food and drinks as the venue is not capable of catering for the capacity. I waited the whole 20 minute interval watching 3 members of staff carefully and slowly as possible serve drinks to only move half way down and be told we would not be allowed to be served. My mum waited in the separate line for snacks which was shorter and the exact same thing happened. Absolutely disgusting, awfully ran bar. Completely ruined my evening as I’d not eat or had a drink in hours before the show.

Fantastic! I saw the Rock and Rock Rapunzel Panto and it was a truly spiritual experience. Everything about it was great. I was in awe of the cast and their music playing, singing, dancing, acting, audience interaction and improvisation. The songs, the character, the script, the set, the stunts and effects, amazing. I was in love and never wanted it to end and I would love to see something else similar by them!

Everyman… says it all really. Although I reckon capacity is 50 at a push so not really a place for ‘Everyman’ and his dog. Nice films and stuff, popcorn expensive, hard stuff (frozen) as to be expected

There's a writer's lounge, bar, etc. I saw Rapunzel, a fun play suitable for youth.

We had lots of fun at the Everyman Theatre's Murder Mystery special for Halloween. The actors were brilliant, and it was an enjoyable experience. The price of the ticket was a bit too pricey as it included food, which was only nachos, chilli, and guacamole. It took a long time for it to arrive, was lukewarm when it finally came, and the quality of the food was not worth £15.

Top venue, comfortable sofas and great staff. Didn’t get the guys name but he has dyed blonde hair and a moustache, Everyman cinema keep hold of him whatever it takes, he made our visit to your place in Liverpool.

Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Easy order and pick up of interval drinks. Excellent view from gallery. Stage set for Lt of Inishmore was very clever and inventive. Actors performance of Martin McDonagh’s play was outstanding. Do not miss this you will not be disappointed.

Great theater, helpful staff, they put on Great Shows, and the Stage is in the middle of the floor with seating all round , they have 2 Bars , a MUST place to go .

Great place to grab lovely coffee and food at reasonable prices in the cafe bar. The staff here are amazing. Thank you to Gill from the Stage Door. My partner lost his bus pass here. Someone from the theatre rang the local council, and Gill was around for me to collect it from the next day. Such a great team at the theatre. We will both definitely go there for food and drink when next in Liverpool.

Really great place to see a play, lovely intimate atmosphere just like the original but with up to date facilities to match. Really love seeing YEP productions too.

Great theatre, great shows, great staff. Went to the Bistro downstairs for the first time and was really impressed with how gorgeous that space is. Wish the stage down there was in a slightly more central position, but the atmosphere was lovely and the show (The Spare Rib’s Pride Event) was entertaining!

Very practical, small / medium size theatre. Great acoustics. Bars on upper and lower floor.

We came to an event at the theatre today but found the bar area extremely crowded which is very difficult for us as neurodivergent individuals. We spent a lot of time outside the venue instead of mingling with people we should have been bonding with.

Ned Ludd was brilliant - loved it. Hats off to the cast. I found myself being pulled into the Nottingham coal moving scene, it was deeply moving to think of everything they had lost and to be brought so low. A different night: A Lovely Word was such a great night. Great audience, better performers.

Every visit is fabulous. The rock and roll pantomime never ceases to amaze me. I have been going for over 20 years and never been disappointed. Venue is right in the heart of Liverpool- Food is spot on.

Fabulous panto very funny great cast and front of house all very helpful

I just love this place. We went to see Santa in December and it was such a lovely experience. He took lots of time to chat with the kids and there was no rush to churn them out. The panto was brilliant too and I need to book for the next one. Fantastic venue - great seats everywhere.

Staff at this venue are absolutely amazing! We visit a LOT of theatres locally and nationally and these are by far the best we have ever come across, nothing is too much trouble and they are always willing to help in every situation unlike some other theatre staff we have experienced! Will definitely rate this as our top theatre in Liverpool, keep up the good work guys!!

After seeing Cinderella last Friday night , we did not enjoy the show or some of the script used on stage.We won't be visiting again I feeling now.🤔

Very good acting and friendly team

FOOD: We had the pre theatre night menu which was a tasty bowl of Scouse. Yes it ws more potato and carrots than beef .... but it was still tasty and welcoming on a very wet and windy night. Desert was a mince pie and custard ..... in fact a single portion contained 3 mince pies ..... so we shared them among us. PRICE: Very reasonable ..... bordering on being cheap for a theatre. All 5 of us had the Scouse which was only £6.50 with a bread roll. SERVICE / STAFF: Friendly and attentive and the food arrived very quickly LOCATION: A perfect eatery (Street Cafe / Bistro) within the Everyman AMBIENCE: Very nice and perfect for a pre theatre drink / coffee and food FACILITIES: Very good and gender neutral bogs. CONCLUSION: All round this was very good and the Street Cafe is open at lunchtime as well for all manner of dishes and butty's .....

Started with dinner which was delicious. Into the panto fantastic great mix of ages attended and all en encouraged to join in, the fairy god mother was outstanding. I didn't realize the Everyman is a charity and was disappointed i hadn't brought cash to throw in the bucket at the end. I have already booked for next year.

Watched the rock and roll panto again this year. Fantastic fun and brilliant cast as always. Theatre awesome, great facilities.

Everyman panto just gets better and better! Smashed it this year. Beautiful theatre. Great staff. We come every year to the Rock n Roll panto. The best there is!

We have been going to the pantomime at the Everyman for over 15 years. Last year saw a huge change with the director, the writer and the cast, and we didn’t think it was it was theusual brilliant production. Hoping for something better we went this afternoon, the story was a confused jig saw, the cast disappointing and even the music uninspiring. The humour not appropriate for children, couldn’t wait for it to finish and probably won’t go back next year. The only saving grace was Andy Keast, our Graham.
