Well done to the manager and staff of the lime kiln. Entering the pub we found the staff busy cleaning the bar area and tables, not an empty glass or plate in sight. On a rainy Sunday we called in for a drink and decided to stay longer. We had 12 alcoholic drinks 4 meals and spent £70, food was simple tasty and well prepared. For tourists or people on a budget this is the place to go for a snack, meal or drink.

This is the second time I've been here, the first time just for drinks with my husband on a Sunday afternoon. Came again last Thursday and had food and drinks. We both had chicken Tikka Masala curry with rice poppadoms and naan bread. Good portion size and was nice and hot. Will definitely come again as it's good value for money for £10 which includes a drink too.

One of the waters on valentines day at 2pm very enthusiastic we asked him to remove the dishes which he did with some atertude and did not wipe the table so we asked him if he would do it he brushed some papers on to the floor and left.

Had lunch on a really busy Saturday. Excellent choices, tv screens for footie, lots of tables, seating area. Had meal with soft drinks and really good value which we expected. Food and drinks came quickly enough after ordering via app. Definitely recommend.

My friends were assaulted by bouncers. This is disgraceful.

If I could leave a 0 star I would for the way my friends were treated by the bouncers, the bouncers physically assaulted my friends leaving them with bruises and cuts on their faces. No member of our group was too drunk and everyone was being behaved. The bouncers came over because one of the girls took a sip of her drink that she received as a birthday present, although she wasn’t allowed she was putting it away when she was informed that she couldn’t drink that in the pub and with this the bouncers still came over attempting to kick us out ! One of our group members tried to ask to speak to a manager to just explain the situation as we weren’t causing any trouble and wanted to see if we could stay the bouncers decided we couldn’t and then unrighteously used force against us. 0/10 will not be coming back unless they sort these awful bouncers out !!

I am in utter disbelief I’m actually writing this review. The treatment me and my group received last night was completely unacceptable and needs to noted at every possible place I can. It was about 9:30-10 pm, we were having some food and drinks celebrating my girlfriend’s birthday. My girlfriend had drank something not from the premises. I would like start by saying she sipped it, while I understand the letter of the law is if it’s not from their premises you can’t have it. We had no issue with that at all, I said I’d like to talk to the manager to just mention we spent a lot, and see if they could understand our situation. Whoever the staff member is went about absolutely horribly, got 3-5 bouncers over surrounding our table. None of us once refused to leave. I asked to speak to the boss / manager before leaving. I said I’d happily walk up. They dragged one of the members of our group all because he repeated what I had said saying we’d like to speak to a manager. Not only did they drag him, they felt the need to push him down stairs, he didn’t refuse to leave and said he could walk just fine. There was no need for their power trip, yet they felt it was necessary. James ended up with a massive cut across his head. Which at the time was gushing blood. There was no reason for this behaviour from the security. Then, I asked the bouncer as I was still at the table by this point wondering if I could speak to a manager, I knew the situation would ease very quickly if that was the case. Yet, he refused. So I said to him in the exact words “what are you gaining from this power trip?” He completely lost it, reefed me from my chair, shoved me against the wall and dragged me down, I never once fought back against him. I said my stuff is on the table can I please go back and grab it before you continue to kick me out. He refused violently, I grabbed onto the wall, not aggressively as I wanted to make my point clear, “I have no problem leaving once I get my things” He then said the words “do you want to be put to sleep” he then got me in choke hold, put my hands behind my back. Then got me up and brought me to the stairs to leave through the fire exit. I said to him, “I can walk just fine, it’s not problem.” He still continued to push me. I have no problem if I was horrible drunk, if I was causing trouble, if I was causing genuine harm but I wasn’t, this all happened because the bouncers needed some sort of power trip for validation. This came from my girlfriend having a sip of a drink not from Wetherspoons property. While we all understood it was a mistake, we don’t believe that treatment was warranted; Grace one of the staff in there was very kind, looked after our friend and chatted to us. She has the footage of what happened and also agreed that and in her our own words on camera “the way you guys were treated wasn’t warranted” I was completely sober so I can account for everything, I am going to be pursing this matter. As this treatment isn’t accept in anyway. From all of that and to then find out as my girlfriend was leaving, her friend was being grabbed by the bouncers, when she showed no force. To one of the bouncers calling my girlfriend a “slag, a knob” and much more. In full, I would like to say this doesn’t fully showcase what Lime Kiln is like as I’ve been going here for nearly 2 years. I loved going here; the staff have always been lovely but they really need to change the bouncers, vet them properly and stop allowing people like that to go on a massive power trip to prove something to someone. It’s strange

The security guards pushed me down the stairs as I was leaving. Very rude and unprofessional.

Food portions are small as with nearly all Wetherspoons pubs, and the menus on the tables were very sticky and didn’t feel clean. But the worst part of this visit was the horrible, vile, rude staff member behind the bar, the girl with red hair and big rubber lips. Slams the drinks down onto the bar and has a really nasty attitude. As part of my drinks order was a brandy and coke, I wasn’t asked which brandy I preferred and when it was served it was full to the brim with coke, which again I wasn’t asked if that was ok. I complained and asked for her to make a new one to which her reply was “fine, there’s no need to make a fuss about it “ in a really arrogant tone. She didn’t make any apologies or attempts to remedy the situation in a professional manner. Other people waiting behind me to be served seemed a bit taken back by her attitude. Horrible cow! If we do decide to return here then I’ll make sure we avoid being served by her.

I am Spanish and my level of English is basic. We went to eat at this pub and one of the waiters who served us made no effort to understand us and was even rude. I gave it three stars because the food was good and the place is nice.

Attended on a quiet night. Still plenty of people inside. Not too noisy. Plenty of tables available. Staff attentive and cleaned tables when we sat down. Staff assisted with meal ordering to ensure appropriate and cheapest option and aware of different dietary requirements, this was really appreciated. Good prices good beer. I would certainly recommend.

Opening times online show closing at 3am, so we relied on that when visiting on a Tuesday night. However, it had closed at midnight already, so we couldn’t get in an the end :(

Food took ages to arrive and half of it was missing (didn’t have time to wait). Both went for the breakfast muffins, tasted worse than the usual spoons.

Always a busy pub, which offers the usual JD Weatherspoon experience. There are usually lots of decent craft beers on offer and an extensive range of lagers and spirits. The staff are always friendly and the bar is located near a lot of other bars in the Concert Square area.

Ok weatherspoons, with a very large disco ball. You have to walk through outside table which are full of smokers.

Early morning breakfast. Staff were a bit disinterested, I only got one egg instead of the two ordered with my breakfast, no brown sauce. Staff half apologised, but in a ‘your having breakfast at Withers, so what do you expect’ kind of way.

The food was nice but it was not like a normal weatherspoons they have loud music there the place was busy and was clean, the place is a good size and plenty of choice where to seat.

I mean, it's 'Spoons. You know what you're getting. This was a particularly nice one though. Food and service was great, loved the whole look of the place too, only issue was the awfully noisy roadworks outside. Can't be helped though and would definitely come back.

Went to this Weatherspoons for a meal with a group of work colleagues. Waited an hour for food. The food arrived cold although the plates were hot. The peas were near enough still frozen. When we complained to the waitress her reply was that she couldn't take the food back to the kitchen. So we asked to speak to the manager. He was very rude and told us he was short staffed and tough. We said we understood but the food should be hot or at least warm. His reply was that it wasn't his problem. His attitude was awful. He has no people skills or manners. Unfortunately we will never set foot in there again while the management is like that.

9 of us went for food - waited an hour for it to come out only for the food to be cold. Told waitress who said cant take it back as im not allowed. Asked to speak to the manager who was VERY RUDE. Told us that it wasnt his problem and that they were short staffed. Was not helpful at all…his attuitide was really disgusting as a manager. Will not be going back there if in the area..

Food was shocking, most of my salad consisted of leaves and only 1 quarter of a slice of tomato, and half a slice of red onion. The lasagne was all pasta and no filling... Will not be eating in Weatherspoons again.. Discusting !

I went in yesterday and ordered three meals with drinks.The abrupt and harsh attitude of the on duty manager towards not just me but all the people I observed afterwards was amazing (in a very bad way).It was like she just wanted you out of the way ASAP.When I was employed at the Home Office ,you had a series of sessions learning Inter Personal Skills.This lady certainly hadn't undertaken any or if she had,decided they could be discarded.Never encountered this in any other Wether spoons.Without doubt the worst Wether spoons employee I've ever encountered.The meal was excellent otherwise it would be 1 star.

Another typical spoons pub. Seams a lot quieter than most other spoons in Liverpool. Useful for us as we were staying in a hotel next door to it so could use the spoons for breakfast. Located in a nightlife area so could be useful for pre-drinks.

Came away with my partner and decided to visit here for a few drinks and food. On arrival we went to the bar where we was totally ignored. After making it known we was present a woman came over angrily and served us. She slammed our drinks down, and had no manners whatsoever. I questioned one of my drinks as I knew it wasn’t poured correctly (I’m not fussy but as a customer whose paid and know how these drinks come I felt I was in a position to ask for a replacement) I had dirty looks and was told that’s how it comes!!! Safe to say we didn’t order food and we left. Won’t be back again at all.

Been here for a couple hours now, Freaky Friday by Chris woman beater Brown has already been on. DJ decides it’s okay to play it again 2 hours later, get more songs mate Popworld is walking all over you fella, and it don’t look good. PS. Drinks are lovely thanks for those but DJ needs to be an actual DJ and not a Year 6 Disco Connoisseur. Love it x

If I could give 0 stars I would I had a horrible experience in this pub. The bouncer aggressively grabbed my arm and pulled me back with no warning. It was sore and unneeded and when I confronted him and told him to get off of me he threw his hands off me and walked away. I spoke to management about this and she did nothing. I spoke to other bouncers about this and they all acknowledged that this often happens with this bouncer and they apologised on his behalf. Not one member of staff would tell me this bouncers name so I could take my complaint further. It is genuinely shocking that in this day and age a grown man thinks it’s ok to grab or lay his hands on a young woman.
