The Old Bank in Sutton

Mi esposa y yo visitamos Sutton aproximadamente cada 6 - 8 semanas y siempre vamos al Old Bank, este fin de semana no fue diferente, como de costumbre Gail y el equipo eran atractivos y serviciales y el nuevo menú se veía (y sabía) bien. Esperamos volver en unas semanas para otro almuerzo de Botellas de Moretti, una buena risa con el equipo allí y un sabroso almuerzo. Gracias Paul & Jax.

My mum and I have been wanting to try this pub for a while as they have recently been renovated! Every thing about this pub is amazing! We were served by Emma throughout the night, whom presented a very thoughtful and welcoming interaction to us! You can see that the staff love working with Emma and is a joy to be around. My mum had the 10oz rump steak and she said it was cooked perfectly and presented very well. I had the chicken melt and this was done great. We went during karaoke night and the vibe was amazing. Everyone up and dancing and cheering on everyone who had sung. The place was clean, tidy, the staff constantly cleaning tables or removing empty glasses and plates which is great to see. We will definitely be back again.

Only had a cheeky pint before moving on but the lady behind the bar was very welcoming... I haven't forgotten that I owe you 40p 😂 see you soon.....

Excellent atmosphere in the Old Bank. Great food and the service is fantastic..The staff are really friendly and helpful. The televisions provide sports viewing and are ideal for meeting up with friends or family and watching the match together in a spectacular family environment. Well recommended!

I came in for a couple drinks with a few friends on st Patrick’s day, jay and Emma was in the spirt and took jokes well, as both was in fun hats and glasses which encouraged a good environment. Would come again

A lovely well lit open space right by the station with friendly staff and a community vibe. It looks beautiful during the daytime. Sports are shown on multiple TVs which are easy to see from any position.

Excellent venue Staff are very friendly and helpful especially Emma, Gail and Jay Food is amazing love the juicy beef burgers Seen that they do pizzas and they look brilliant will definitely try one Atmosphere is amazing especially on a Friday night Got loads of tvs dotted around the pub so great when big sport is on so you never miss a thing Looking forward to attending Easter Sundays karaoke Will definitely be back

Como muchas otras críticas han destacado, no vas a este pub para una alegre bienvenida del personal del bar. Por otro lado, si quieres hacha - enfrentado a la ronquera cuando te sirven, entonces este es el lugar para ti. Sin embargo, dejando eso de lado, no es un mal ambiente y es muy útil si acabas de llegar a la estación de Sutton.

It was a very warm and welcoming environment and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I came in for food and drinks with my family and they service was exceptional and quality of food was really good

We had our Christmas social in the Old Bank for that second time and once again it was fab! The area was nicely decorated with crackers and Christmas hats and looked very festive. We had pre-ordered the festive buffet and the food was nicely cooked, well presented and tasted great, as well as being reasonably priced. The bar staff are always great, service is friendly, fast and correct. Special mention to Emma who organised everything for us from start to finish perfectly. We’ll be back for our next social!

Entré para un descanso de la calle principal con mi hermana, buen lugar grande, la música era genial y no demasiado fuerte, Liam y Lanah eran muy agradables, sin duda volveré!

Excelente lugar Muy cómodo Muy seguro Personal muy amable y servicial que siempre es muy agradable La comida es brillante especialmente las hamburguesas y viene con una bebida Me encanta el ambiente navideño El karaoke del otro domingo fue tan entretenido Visto que tienen un montón de eventos en la antesala de Navidad, que parece muy interesante Esperamos volver de nuevo Sin duda uno de mis pubs favoritos en la zona Gracias, viejo banco, sin duda volveré pronto.

Disfrutamos de unas copas en este pub amigo, buen lugar junto a la estación con una buena variedad de cervezas. Buena ubicación al lado de la estación de tren, que es especialmente útil dado el número de trenes que se cancelan o retrasan. Emma detrás de la barra era rápido y acogedor, feliz de servir. Volveré para disfrutar de las bebidas de Navidad antes de Navidad.

Been banned from here for allegedly swearing at one of the staff Emma which is untrue .. after I was told I would not be served I dad swear at Jay and apoliged .. I’ve been going in this pub for 20 years and met and made loads of friends to treat me like this is disgraceful.. 71 years of age

Great atmosphere , disappointed with our burgers very dry and my husband was a bit burned 🙈probably because we ordered few minutes before the kitchen closing and everything was rushed . Good price on the drinks great deals 👍

Excellent place to visit Such a comfortable and friendly environment Staff working extremely hard and are very helpful The manager is definitely a hard worker and knows how to keep a safe and comfortable environment for everyone to enjoy Beer garden is beautiful especially at night watching the sun set Loads of tvs so you always catch all the live sport action Nice offers on food and drinks such as their Tuesday real ale offer for £2.95 Beer and a burger from £9.99 The dart board is such a brilliant touch as something fun to do with friends and makes the night even more enjoyable. Staff work extremely hard Very comfortable and safe place We went in for the bank holiday karaoke and it was absolutely amazing, had such a great time and a laugh, the atmosphere was brilliant best karaoke night ever. Was nice seeing so many different people getting involved Love the selection of drinks The garden is absolutely beautiful especially when it’s hot it is the perfect place to watch the sun set. Perfect location as it’s next to the station. Will definitely be back one of the most safest and comfortable places in Sutton

There's a star for the kind staff except the grumpy lady at the door. A star for a good burger and another for a good atmosphere for a game. The negative is a dodgy pint of Guinness my husband didn't drink it was that bad. I think it was the glass as my drink tasted soapy. We booked for the Euros and they cancelled our booking with no explanation. Took it down a star for these reasons.

Best pub in Sutton for watching live sport. It has a fab atmosphere. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. The manager is excellent and she ensures that things run smoothly during busy periods.

Excellent atmosphere, wonderful bar staff and amazing food served whenever I go in. The general manager is lovely and ever so attentive to the customers and somehow keeps track of everyone's preferred drink! Can't tell you the number of times I've been in and she's already at the taps pouring my pint! Definitely a pub to frequent if you live in the area.

I come in with a couple of friends for the football on Saturday, there was a young girl who was working in afternoon and an older lady. Both of them very miserable and very rude, the young guy Liam was really good

Absolutely amazing, it’s safe, clean brilliant atmosphere, very happy with the service Gail the manager and Liam are absolutely amazing very friendly and happy, food looks amazing especially the burgers and the small plates, I love the fact that they have different events on such as live bands and karaoke I am very interested in beat the boss on their Thursday darts night will have to pop in for that. But overall I think it’s one of the best pubs in Sutton and I will definitely be returning

A horrible pub. The landlady is rude and ignores everyone but the locals until the last possible minute. "Thank you" and smiles seem to be unknown concepts to the staff and the atmosphere is like a dentist's waiting room. It's also expensive, poor value for money and full of blaring sports screens. Avoid at all costs!

Maybe being unfair because we only called in for an impromptu drink on the way home and it was very quiet , although it was a Thursday. Just reopened after a refurb but think I preferred it the way it was. Had a glass of sauvignon blanc but was very sweet which I wasn't keen on. Can't comment on food because we had already eaten at another place. Sorry Old Bank , might try it again in the future.

I went here for my 60th and had a brilliant time with family and friends couldn’t have had a better night and I’d do it again tomorrow

Met two old friends for lunch only my third time in this pub. Nice clean pub, efficient and friendly staff. My food, full English breakfast was very nice but can't comment on my friends meals, though they didn't complain. Would be happy to visit again when in the area.

The pubs conveniently located when visiting Sutton for the football, been three times in the last 3 years with The Bantams. Always thought that the staff and locals were not very welcoming, a couple of the older female staff in particular. Yesterday one barman (glasses, spots) was out and out rude, looking physically upset and swearing to himself when i ordered 5 pints!

How amazing were Kaye and Liam today while the Chelsea match was on . Both running around on there own doing drinks and food orders keeping us all happy 😃 well done the both of you xx

Terrible and arrogant service from bar lady this weekend. Her attitude put our family completely off and for some reason my previous review is not showing! Pity as I was told it’s a nice place but the elderly blonde lady was sooooo rude, it put me off

Woo think it will be my first and last visit -12.20 for a double gin and tonic!!! nearly fell off my chair. I came yesterday lunchtime with a friend (6th September around 12pm) not sure of the person who served us, she was a young blond girl. We both purchased a double rhubarb and ginger gin with plain tonic. ***Although pleasing to hear this was an error it would seem you were unwilling to honor this after trying to claim the refund. Having phoned first to see if it was OK to call in, was rudly told that no it wasn't an error and that a double gin is £10.20 and a tonic was £2 added to which it appeared you were irritated at my review before speaking to you first. Therfore, might I suggest, if your prices are correct that you don't lie and say its an error and offer a refund only to then revoke this and quaff at my opinion of your prices. I stand by my review and your prices for a local pub are absolutely EXTORTIONATE**** good day

I would not recommend this pub to anyone. We didn't get what we ordered. It took an exceptionally long time to arrive although it was during a quiet time. We didn't get what we ordered and what we did get was overcooked, dry and inedible
