I recently visited my brother in Truro and he insisted that with his large but friendly Alsatian dog, Wallace, we should try a traditional Cornish Pasty. While the serving staff climbed over this enormous obstacle we waited very briefly for the most amazing meal to turn up, piping hot and crispy, with great crispy chips and a pot of tea. The whole visit was done in good humour and I can thoroughy recommend this as a "MUST".

Staff were fab they moved two tables together for us as all the other larger tables were occupied, they were constantly busy with people obviously picking up their meal deals for their lunch! We all had different flavours of pasty and they were all lush, sandwiches going out to other tables also looked amazing with proper thick bread! Great food at a great price, really can’t go wrong!

Very impressed by staff - young, bright, quick and welcoming. The pasty looked just like a Cornish pasty should look, but I found the pastry was a bit tough, especially the crust. Tasty filling - how on earth did Ginster's pasties get so popular nationally when they're like a piece of seaweed compared to the real thing ? Average for the pasty, excellent for the customer service.

A couple of us stopped off at Oggy Oggy in Truro for a quick lunch break. We tried the large steak Pasty, with gravy on the side. The pasty was delicious with plenty of filling. Stoped in for a morning coffee. Relatively quiet for a food outlet in Truro, but staff were friendly. 2x cappuccino's were .... average, but then what do you expect from a push-button machine installed in a chain? If you are looking for quick, cheap and done then experience, its OK. But as the museum and acompanying theatre cafe are less than 100yards further up the road, why would - unless like us you hadn't realised that - us this place? Its not bad, but its just that its the same as every other chain-pasty shop that you could experience in London.

As I’m Cornish I’m not too sure about Oggies pasties as they still feel a bit like new kids on the block. Not many shop pasties are worth eating as there’s never enough meat and what is there is often gristly. However ... the different pasties we had were good and the chips - which were and extra treat, were to die for!! I don’t know HOW they do them but they’re wonderful, especially if you ask for extra crispy!!!

Stopped off for a quick cuppa and a pasty, they didn't have half the pasties in stock that were advertised! Settled for a cheese and bacon one, wish I hadn't! Very dry, bacon was sooo salty and could barely taste cheese. I actually couldn't eat it so left it on my plate! My mum had a pasty too, hers was also dry but she ate it anyway because she was starving! The latte and tea we ordered were nice but unfortunately the food wasn't.On a bright note, the service was good as they didn't charge me for the uneaten pasty but completely disagree with the eat in menu being alot more expensive than the takeaway when the quality of food is so poor!

We popped in for lunch.Customer service was good. It is a pity therefore that the pasties we ate were dry and pretty much tasteless although the pieces of meat in the steak pasty were large and numerous. The pastry itself on both different pasties was dry and inedible without copious amounts of sauce and ketchup. Coffee was good. What really got to me about this place though was it was very dirty. The menus were sticky and covered in food. The tables and chairs were dirty and stained with ingrained dirt. Clearly the dado rail had never seen a cloth. The floor was filthy and it wasn't a wet day, so that would not be the explanation. I couldn't wait to wash my hands after leaving.Wouldn't return if the pasties were being given away. Sorry:-(

Sadly the only thing that let them down from being some of the best pasties we've had, (and we are well seasoned pasty eaters) was not enough seasoning. I know it's down to personal taste but more is needed to bring out the flavour in the perfecfly cooked buttery veg. More salt pretty please!!

i went here with my family on the 31st of October 2012 we came a cross in by chance as we were visiting some other family in Falmouth they have a wide range of pasties and a good selection of hot and cold drinks I had a chicken pasty witch had a nice spice to it I would have like a bit more chicken but that is only me my mum had a vegetable pasty and she said it was one of the best. The services is very friendly and very helpful. on a personal not again I do feel like they need to come with a small side salad. But over all it is a very nice place and I deffenlty recommend it

Not sure if I can call the staff "food mechanics" but when you visit you will see what I mean. This does what it says outside it sells pasty meals, with great humour great staff, really good value and with a quirky ideas that will make you smile while you eat.If you're coming down the A30 don't stop at that place with an M outside, just a mile further west you'll see Clock Garage by the pull-off, go in and enjoy cornish food, and smile!

A great little find in Truro. Fantastic pasties and a good pot of tea equals a very happy customer. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Miss this gem at your peril!

We went for a mid morning drink and snack. Very impressed with the ambience of the shop, manage to effectively combine the shop and cafe which can be quite difficult to do.The staff were very attentive and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Two of us had tea and it was lovely to see it served in individual teapots and proper cups and saucers, and with fresh milk. Some other people in the cafe at the same time had Cornish cream teas and I wished I had also had one as they were quirkily served with the jam and cream in little buckets keeping with the Cornish theme that seemed to run through the shop. Lovely pictures adorned the walls of Cornish scenes.Overall an excellent visit and I will certainly return.

I haven't been in Oggy for ages as it was looking tired, then I noticed its changed owners and had a refurb. Looks so clean and fresh and some great ideas with all the funky crockery. I had a Panini and it was a reasonable price and really tasty. I will go back again, especially to have a tea in one of the lovely teapots, might even treat myself to a creamtea next time :-)

Absolutely wonderful visit. The cream tea was the best I think I’ve ever had. Warm scones, huge pot of cream and delicious jam, must be homemade. The tea was piping hot and came with an additional tea bag should you like it strong.

Great place to stop off on our walk. Cakes, drinks and ice cream all good, and with the bonus of sparrows waiting to hop onto your hand.

Absolutely amazing day spent at The Sharksfin for our daughter's wedding last Saturday. Wow! What a venue! From start to finish everything was wonderful. Great service with happy staff who were enjoying looking after us and wanted to make the day special. The canapes were gorgeous and main meal truly excellent. The Chefs worked their socks off. Would highly recommend. Thank you to Lisa and her whole team. You were fantastic! We will be back for a roast very soon 🙂!

Poor service and virtually no vegan/vegetarian options. Asked for a veggie burger which was on the menu, they didn't have any. Asked what else was vegan, they didn't know. Service was very slow and all front of house seemed uninterested and more keen to huddle round the bar chatting. One waitress was particularly rude, I wouldn't go there again and wouldn't recommend. Lots of much friendlier places in Falmouth.
