The Oaks in North Kesteven

Been a few times and always felt it was a 5, even have a 5 review. On this occasion whilst nice just lost its special edge, table was dirty and desperately needed a wipe, waitress asked if we wanted sauces but they never came. Asked for no beans on a breakfast, they still Came, whilst no issue as in a bowl it was a waste. Food delicious but attention to detail That has always been spot on was lacking .

First time visit and defiantly not our last Having walked round whisby nature park we visited for lunch - lovely fresh ingredients could really taste every different element , eggs poached to perfection Also excellent staff Dog friendly location. Looking forward to our next visit already

Had my baby shower here and the staff was lovely the food was lovely and they let us stay however long we wanted, definitely recommend!!

Fantastic breakfast/brunch! Always happy to help, very friendly staff always made to feel welcome and have been treated like regulars from our first visit. Needless to say we now visit often, with plenty on the menu for all and fresh made cakes where there is always something different to choose from. We will be back soon!

Another lovely breakfast at this hidden gem! Breakfasts cooked to perfection as always and requests honoured accordingly. Followed by beautiful locally made cakes . Now one of our favourite locals for breakfast with the added bonus of them serving an all day option, we will be returning again soon and recommending to family and friends.

Absolutely lovely place to eat in the sun with friends . Really good menu with many choices ! Food was perfect for all of us including two little children with fussy tastes ! Staff are all wonderful and go out of their way to make you feel invited and comfortable in this lovely setting ! Yes it can get busy during peak times /breakfasts and lunch but this is because time is taken to get the food just right ! Relax and enjoy !!! Will be back :-)

My friend and I came here for a treat today with our young children. We were so happy with the food and service. The waiter made me feel special and the food was delicious.

We came to the oaks whilst my boyfriend was on a golf lesson. Extremely friendly staff. Lorraine and Maisie were massively educated in gluten free and coeliac food preparation. Whilst the menu stated it was gluten free, they both went above and beyond in explaining the food preparation and contamination risks within the kitchen, that is out of their control. If it wasn’t for both of their knowledge and experience, I could have been extremely ill and hospitalised. I do not put any blame on the staff, in the kitchen, at the Oaks, but hope for it to be advertised for other Gluten Free, Dairy Free and Vegan options as many people have an altered diet due to medical conditions.

I booked my baby shower at The Oaks, and I was blown away. The food, the Venue, the staff made my entire experience lovely, everyone had such a great time. I really want to go back for breakfast whilst the other half plays golf. Thank you so much for making my event one that I’ll remember forever!

Great breakfast, cooked to perfection, great atmosphere . Great quality produce, lovely Lincolnshire sausages, can’t fault it .

Really disappointed wanted to try this place for a while. Came for breakfast, we had booked, on arrival was told our booking hadn't been booked in. It was busy but they did manage to seat us. Coffee order was wrong, then waited over an hr for breakfast which was overcooked & seemed like it had been left under a hot plate for a while. Mushrooms missing of one breakfast too. A very expensive breakfast for what it was, nothing special. On a plus friendly staff who apologised for the wait, seems like the management messed up with bookings and staff on the ground end up taking the rap for it. We wasnt offered any discount / complimentary drinks for the delay which was a shame as this would go along way to keep customers happy when delays happen. All in all enough to put us off returning. Shame.

The Oaks hosted my birthday party in October. The food was amazing and we were so well looked after. They made my night. Thank you!!

The food was absolutely revolting. The starter was only lukewarm warm. The main course looked like it had been out for hours and then quickly heated in the microwave. That’s also how it tasted. We had to wait 45 minutes for our starter, no explanation, no apologies. Never again!

We hosted our wedding reception here. By far the best venue for what we were after! Staff are so friendly and welcoming, food was incredible and service was spot on! We couldn’t have asked for anything more! They were above and beyond!! Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to visit! We have been during various times of the day for breakfast and lunch and they have provided incredible service and food throughout each visit!

We recently booked the oaks as our choice of venue to celebrate a special occasion. Their communication was poor from the outset unless regarding payment which should have been a huge red flag. We were left extremely disappointed. The buffet looked cheap, we did not receive food items which had been promised and our guests were left hungry. It was certainly not what we had expected for a cost of £480 catering and £179 for exclusive venue hire. We also had members of the public accessing the toilet facilities via our private hire area. We contacted the owner following our event in the hope that we could achieve a resolve. He was dismissive and informed us that he had encountered issues with suppliers, yet still no apology was offered. He agreed to contact us the following day after discussing issues with his chef but he did not bother to do so at which point he offered us ‘lunch on him’ which we declined. He reluctantly agreed to £100 refund. We would advise anybody looking to celebrate a special occasion to avoid booking with the oaks!

The vibe in the Oaks is so different to anything in Lincoln. It makes other similar places seem stale and tired. The food is obviously chosen carefully and not just a cash and carry, bog standard bland photocopy of all the other cafés in the city centre. Well worth the visit.

The first and very last time that I will eating there!!! I was one of a group booked in this morning for a baby shower brunch. We were seated outside under a gazebo however this was not big enough to cover all of the guests attending. When it started to rain we naturally moved inside the restaurant to take shelter For the owner/manager to call the party organiser to tell her that she’d insisted on our party sitting outside and that us moving inside out of the rain meant he was losing customers is disgraceful and completely disrespectful to our party host and all guests. His actions today deeply upset the party host and her sister whose baby shower it was who both left what should have been a special day in tears. When challenged by myself and another party member he said that he was too busy to talk to us as he had a restaurant full of people to deal with - we’re we not a restaurant full of people!!! Appalling customer service - not worth the price tag!

The oaks is such a nice and welcoming place. The food was exceptional with a lovely view out on to the golf course. I found all the staff to be very polite, confident & professional in their delivery of service. Overall the Oaks gets a 10/10 from me as it was up there when it came to cleanliness & hygiene. I will definitely be back.

Whatever these guys seem to do, they do it well, and they support local businesses on their way too. Best of all, Jamie and James are humble about it and so down to earth. On to the food and we can’t speak highly enough about it. The Chicken Burger was huge and it was bloody delicious. The crispy chicken tenders, the toasted bun, the cheese melting under the bacon, the crunchy gherkins. It all just seems to work so well. The fries were cooked brilliantly too. Not overdone, but enough crisp to them with a lovely fluffy texture inside. Even the little side salad was a lovely light addition. The All Day Breakfast is always a hit when we visit The Oaks, and this time was no different. For under £10, this plateful rivals any breakfast you’ll find in Lincoln. It’s not greasy or made with cheap ingredients. It’s full of produce from reputable local companies, it’s fresh and it’s a fantastic size for the money. We love it at The Oaks, and you’ll do well to find someone who doesn’t feel welcome when they visit. We can’t wait to see their new ventures flourish and be as brilliant as this one. Recently celebrated a 50th Birthday at the Oaks I cannot recommend the Oaks enough fantastic venue for a celebration, staff are so friendly & super organised, food is amazing & very reasonably priced. We had a lovely evening & will most definitely be back very soon!

Recently celebrated my cousin’s birthday at The Oaks, a perfect venue for a special celebration. The staff & management went above & beyond for us, catering for all, from young to old! The setting is beautiful. We had such a fantastic night that we went back for Sunday lunch & once again service, food, setting and atmosphere was exceptional. Already looking forward to my next visit to The Oaks!

We had a fantastic day at the oaks more than just a restaurant . Food was beautiful staff were so friendly and we dinned on the terrace which is a sun trap beautiful setting with the golf course in the back ground . We'll definitely be back great way to spend the day hitting balls on the range then lunch and beers on the terrace.

The booking was made for 11 o’clock for my friends 50 th birthday celebrations.We we’re prompt on time to be told by the waitress she’d mistakenly gave the table to someone else .The waitress offered us free beverages for the mistake which was absolutely fine.We got a table at 11 15 ,no beverages though!11 30 still no beverages or even an order for breakfast,we got to make an order at about 11 40 but still no beverages for my friend and his mum ,five minutes later we walked out!I felt so embarrassed as this my friends big birthday!The waitress was more than apologetic ,but we couldn’t go anywhere else on my friends big birthday ,i appreciate you being busy but nothing for 45 minutes when we previously booked in ?I heard great reports about this place and was looking to my eggs royale.Live and learn !

Great Sunday roast - beef was beautifully cooked, veg were the right level of al-dente, very generous portion sizes too. Dog friendly and just round the corner from Whisby Park so will become our go-to place when we’re in that part of town.
