We booked Sunday evening for 5pm which on arrival we found out was in ' between menus' .Tim the manager was excellent in allowing us to have the Sunday roast which is what we really wanted. All in all the dining experience was excellent with a really nice atmosphere and friendly service from Ella. Would recommend and will certainly will return on our next holiday to that area.

We booked a table (on-line) in the restaurant (not in the dog friendly area) however we were surrounded by dogs. At least five tables in the immediate vicinity had dogs. Clearly the whole restaurant is deemed "dog friendly" by the management. If there is a specific area for dogs in this pub (separate from those that don't want dogs around), and that area was full, that should be it; no more customers with dogs should be allowed in.

Great new menu. I had the pork and it was so good. Staff are always first class and the atmosphere is so relaxing. The Oaks is a lovley venue and they are dog friendly. Caters for evrybdy as the menu is varied.

We visited with friends for lunch. The Lunch Club menu was a great option, offering two or three courses of good quality food at a reasonable price. Good choice of drinks too. Service was very friendly and a couple of minor problems we did have were handled to our satisfaction without fuss. The restaurant is in a nice setting with outdoor space too. We visited on a sunny day, so used the outdoor space after our meal. My only issue was the Automatic Service Charge applied. I know many places do this, but I prefer to Tip rather than having to opt-out of an enforced 10%, especially when the bill is very high.

The new lunch menu was absolutely delicious! Fran our waitress was excellent, the best service. The beach hut was quiet which was perfect for us, for hard of hearing. Don't miss this menu!

Always enjoy The Oaks. Food is excellent, presentated well and is always hot. Staff are first class and nothing is too much trouble for them. Lovely setting.

Visited for a lunch and ended up having three courses. Absolutely delicious each course and probably the best steak and ale pie ever. Looking at other diners meals makes me think I want to try everything on the menu! The service was excellent and the staff charming. The decor was very tasteful and the garden looked delightful. We can’t wait to visit again on a sunny day and enjoy a cold crisp glass of wine with another fantastic 3 courses!

Disappointing, I expected more from the website and pictures and for the menu prices. Fortunately, we have an amazing choice of very good places to eat in the area but this isn't one of them. Very tired interior, food is very average.

We visited on a quiet Sunday evening with our big dog and had a wonderful dinner. The lovely waitress looking after us was fantastically welcoming and spent a long time with us chatting. This really is a dog friendly place! The food was delicious and we were extremely satisfied with our whole experience at The Oaks. We will definitely visit again next time we are in Mudeford.

This is a lovely place to have Sunday lunch, the roast beef is amazing and bottomless roast potatoes and extra veg if you want them. All the staff at the oaks are lovely they are so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. They continually try out new ideas for the benefit of their customers experience.

Came here for lunch with my Father during the week, late in the afternoon. Beautifully decorated inside and lovely large windows overlooking the garden. My Father had the Stonebass, which he enjoyed very much and the mussels that come with it are an ideal accompaniment. I had the burger and chips, which was cooked to perfection. The burger was a little on the small side, but very high quality meat with no fat at all. It is an ideal dish if you wish to have a filling lunch and good value for money. I opted for the additional side of the cheese slice, which was fantastic quality. I have eaten out in a countless amount of different places over the years, and the waitress we had attending to us, was without a doubt, one of the most lovely and genuinely warm people I have ever come across. The Waiter that was attending to us that day, was also very welcoming and friendly.

We ate here for the first time on the 2 3.24. The setting is nice but very noisy and a somewhat busy busy ambience. Not really conducive to a relaxing dinner but we have to accept that The Oaks is obviously very popular. The food was ok but not truly amazing. We shared a crab and sweetcorn bite starter and the bites just didn't have any depth of crab flavour coming through. The brown crab mayo with it was excellent and had a great full depth of crab taste through really well. My wife had the slow cooked duck leg with blackberry sauce which she found to be good stating that the duck was well cooked with lots of flavour complimenting the sauce perfectly. I had the lamb roulade. Sadly when it was presented to me at the table, it was also presented with a massive faux pas from the kitchen. I won't divulge the detail as I think it inappropriate to embarrass The Oaks on this reveiw. However the roulade was good and mostly tender and the artichoke puree was exceptional. I must add that Adam the deputy manager dealt with the problem exceptionally well and removed the cost of the lamb roulade from our bill without prompting. Excellent service from Adam - thank you. Would we eat here again....yes we would and will certainly visit the next time we are in Highcliffe

Great pub and bistro food. Great drinks menu. Great service. Great decor and outside options for all weather. Well worth a visit. And the fish soup is top class.

We love the Sunday roast here. The atmosphere is relaxed, the service is fast and friendly but not rushed. The food is always great and exceptional value.

Came at the start of a special event happening each Thursday. Menu full of tasty cheese dishes and live music as well. We sat outside in the 'tent' which was really cosy with heaters , rugs and blankets. The raclette was delicious and a black cherry chocolate mousse was heavenly. Lovely atmosphere, excellent service and a delicious meal Can't wait to return .

Booked for the Apres Ski menu and had a great meal in the tent in the garden with live music accompanying the meal. We both opted for the raclette and it came with a good amount of cheese and a huge plate of bread, cold meats, pickles and new potatoes. The food was great and the service was spot on, with the waitresses there when we needed them and not when we didn't! Lee on his guitar was also good fun and also played requests. Desserts were also delicious and we will look forward to being back soon.

Great family restaurant. This is the first choice for our 11 and 7 year old. Great food and service. This was our third visit here and really enjoy the atmosphere and great food. Although we had a complicated order by changing items from starters to mains, the staff got is all correct. Friendly staff. Can't wait to visit again soon. Great food, reasonably priced and excellent service. Couldn’t really fault it and a real bonus if you can get one of their discount deals. Good wine list as well, good quality Bordeaux red. Exceptional was the pork ribeye and chocolate mousse. The family will return again for sure.
