Good proper pub, massive open space at rear

The nursery is a short walk from where I work, so a firm lunchtime favourite. Service is quick and always good quality and good value.

Took residents for a meal from a care home,made very welcome by Chris,nothing to much trouble,very helpful and friendly,excellent service,would highly recommend, an will definatly be returning

Bloody great pub!. The food is always great, the atmosphere never disappoints and the service is impeccable, especially when that good looking lad with tattoos serves you. I think that handsome devil’s name is Saul Jeffrey but I’m not too sure, I’m too busy looking at his bloody good looking face when he serves me.

Great atmosphere at The Nursery Tavern! The drinks are reasonably priced, and the pub has a cozy, welcoming vibe. Class pub, great atomosphere, pumping every day of the week

I think her name was jess, she was ginger, but she was extremely welcoming and poured great Madris would defo recommend. Defo deserves a promotion and a pay rise! 👩‍🦰

I went to tav for a few drinks whilst being back up in Sheffield! We got served by the most amazing bartender - Jess, she was always there to top up our drinks and was a delight to chat to as well! Thank you Jess!

Bit late but came here for the Euros, saw the videos on Instagram and we decided we had o watch a match here. It was rammed by the atmosphere was amazing, cant wait for the next tournament! Will on the outside bar was great

This was a brilliant restaurant, great service, especially from a Jessica Gillespie who gave us a great service, making our visit much greater.

George the server was incredible and the food was lovely sat out in sun of a nice beer garden

After my experience at champs i was dubious to try the nursey tavern. But my associates found a seat just infront of the beer garden. We had a great view the commentary was on and speakers plenty (unlike champs) which you need for the atmosphere. Bar was fully staffed so didnt take long to get served. Door staff were alert and on point for a miner scuffle that happened. All together a great experience and will come again.

Came to watch the england match. The quality of the tvs outside are phenomenal, would 100% recommend. Fully staffed, great atmosphere, and they also dealt with the natural drama that comes with the large amount of people drinking in one place amazingly. You can see that from the doorstaff to the bar staff they all enjoy working here and have a lot of love for the place. Great evening spent, well done tavern! Ps, their burgers are to due for and cmon england!!

The most vile behaving and disgusting managers/bar employees/security I have ever seen in any bar.. they literally enjoy abusìng their customers and will destroy a lovely night out.. sick people who should not be allowed to own anything let alone a public business. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

First time I've been in this year and was greeted with a big smile from the barman and pointed towards their happy hour. A fantastic pub for people watching on the front.

Love coming here to watch the football. Big beer garden, lots of room and tables. Only food service from app usually and lots of items missing from the menu. Drink service inside can sometimes be slow (understaffed I think). Other than that a great pub would highly recommend

I came to the pub today as the weather was nice and fancied some food and a drink with a friend and was then told upon entry after having my ID checked i’m not allowed in as i’m from Nottingham (Nottingham v Sheff United were playing). I’d maybe understand if I was in a football top and was chanting however i’m a 20 year old girl that wanted to purchase some lunch, it’s a shame that my hometown caused me to be unable to enter, especially how I don’t even follow football nor no much about it at all. I frequently visit here so I am disappointed.

Alright for a quick drink but a very young crowd. Felt a bit out of place.

As a team we come in regularly, always a good atmosphere with friendly and helpful staff. The food is always excellent, the menu has just been updated and it is still brilliant. Would highly recommend, both for a quick drink with friends or a nice meal.

This is a great spot which is very versatile. Decent food and a range of atmospheres depending on day of week. Have enjoyed a busy Saturday night, a Sunday pub quiz and most often a few hours nursing some pints in the afternoon.

Came with friends on our lunch break, really good value lunch deal and really nice food! The staff Jack and Chris were really friendly and made us feel really welcome and comfortable, we’ll definitely be back!

I was served by Flora and she was absolutely amazing, smiley, warm and fabulous. If you have an employee of the month, it should be her. Lovely Bar Very reasonable prices. Jack was awesome. I mentioned my partner had an intolerance to Garlic which is not a main alergy and Jack went above and beyond making sure everything was alright for us.

I love the Tav! What a great place. The student deals are fabulous. All the staff are lovely (especially Jess) and very helpful! Would recommend to anyone. However the haircut of one of the workers (Chris I think his name is) is rather questionable.

Really lovely atmosphere and environment. Food was wonderful and good pricing for the quality. They had a great selection of beers on tap and my favourite punk IPA! One of the bar staff named Chris (I think) was so friendly and was very helpful (even if he did have an odd haircut). The garden out back was fantastic and a good set up with the big screen. I will certainly be going back in summer to enjoy the food and drink again. :)

The nursery tavern is my favourite place on eccy road. my amazing boyfriend takes me there all the time. i have no complaints about the staff or venue at all and always have a great time. Long live tav

The nursery tavern is a great spot for cheap social drinking. I always feel welcome as there is there is a home from home sense in the pub. The drinks are very affordable and staff always go the extra mile. Everyone there is very polite and even sometimes funny. I love drinking there and definitely will be again in the future.

Was a really nice pub relaxed vibe at 2pm. The staff where friendly and attentive. The bear was cheap and the place was ran well

our autistic friend procured a bar mat from the bar as she thought that it was pretty and wanted to decorate the table we were sat at with it, which we did. the “bar manager” then pulled us on this action and accused the party of stealing said bar mat, was very abusive against what many would consider a mentally disabled individual and threatened expulsion from the premises. I understand that the manager has responsibility to the bar but the way in which the situation was handled was absolutely inadequate and borderline abusive. no amount of explanation was sufficient and only presented a cold shoulder after said incident

I went outside with my glass of wine and menu to choose whilst I had a cigarette! It was so windy it blew my wine glass over and they replaced it free of charge How nice is that! The service atmosphere and food is always excellent

The Tav is staffed by an incredible and diverse young staff, all lovely. I'm particularly fond of the fatherly assistant manager and the way the staff is treated. Lively and great atmosphere all day and night, quiet enough at midday to smash some lagers and enjoy a good meal. Fab garden too with great screens, oh I love sport, football and such - what a spot for sports!

As a team we love Tav, and go in constantly throughout the year for both food and drinks; this year we had our Team Christmas Dinner there and it didn’t disappoint. As usual we were met with friendly service and great food, and that was the case all night. The prices for food and drink are excellent, without ever sacrificing quality, which for us as students is perfect. Very thankful to The Nursery Tavern for hosting us, we will see you again very soon!!
