Fantastic pub, full of atmosphere and great people

Loved it. Does have the old Conservative club feel.... or Labour. Which ever floats the boat. But, staff were polite, happy to serve, and had good hospitality values!

Brilliant place for after game drinks.

Great old school proper pub that caters for all age groups. Very welcoming staff. Just a shame is being closed at the beginning of November to make room for yet more student accommodation. End of yet another place full of great memories.

Nice pub located next to Nottingham Arena. Good selection of branded drinks including a couple of real ales. Visit while you can, as the pub is under threat of closure due to local development.

It's still alive! A fantastic family ran and friendly pub, great for the ice hockey, gigs at the arena and lovely food.

Always have an amazing time when come here, Shelley and Gavin are amazing hosts and so welcoming. A proper ice hockey and sports pub. Will be sad to see this place go.

Ideal place to have a bit to eat before going to the arena and of course a drink. Superb friendly staff. Had many of good nights in there. Ps don't ask the land lady to sing. Mmmmm

While the menu was basic, it was reasonably priced, good food and large portions, the staff coped well and were friendly during our visit prior to seeing Sterophonics. there was a good atmosphere and we would definitely go back again when we are next at the Arena

Went in here before we went next door to see James Blunt ..... my partner nipped in to ask if he could leave my wheelchair just inside somewhere if i walked in (I'm able to walk a short walk on the arm of someone) anyway the bar staff came out & produced a ramp!! So we went in & got a drink & had a look at the food menu & ordered some food. It was very reasonable & tasty!! & the landlady played James Blunt songs for me too!! All in all a very enjoyable afternoon & fabulous staff!!

Called in at the Nottingham Legend for an early evening meal before going next door to the Motorpoint Arena for Strictly Come Dancing the tour. What an excellent choice. Fantastic food and service. Will definitely use again.

Came in here for a bite to eat pre panthers game. Nice and quiet whilst we ate our food: a lovely home cooked lasagne, salad and lots of chips. My partner also thoroughly enjoyed his fish and chips. Great prices for generous portions, really friendly staff and Nice pub atmosphere. Also came here once for a drink before a game a few months ago and sat outside, which was a bigger outdoor area than I expected. Would definitely return again.

Good old city centre boozer serving eclectic beers. Liked it.

Really good down to earth establishment. We went when it was quiet at 5pm. We ordered Chilli con carni with chips and fish and chips. The food came quickly. Generous portions and reasonably priced. Staff welcoming but not over the top. Toilets clean. We came back about 10pm. Very busy but still good service. Well worth a visit.

Great atmosphere during playoff weekend

We came here last Friday and Saturday when in Nottingham and the food is outstanding. On The Saturday I had the home made lasagne and it Came with chips and garlic bread it was amazing quality and so tasty. We were made to feel very welcome the 2 days we were here. The staff are all very lovely friendly people and they made me and my brother feel very welcome. We love this pub. Xxxx

We found this pub as we were heading back into the Lace Market district ,it located by the National Ice Centre and Arena and was a pearl of a pub. It's nothing fancy ,a light and airy interior, cool looking serving bar and plenty of seating options spread throughout this cavernous pub but what stood out to me was the staff,made my twin brother Stephen and I so welcomed in their pub. We were here on a Sunday afternoon, greeted with a smile by a very pleasant member of the staff who served us a pint of Sharps Brewery " Doom Bar " these were served in tip top condition, we got a nice table were we just kicked back, chilled out and took in the great pub we were in. My real ale was exceptional, I enjoy the real ales brewed by Sharps Brewery, the Doom Bar is probably my favourite, a light, hoppy real ale bursting with taste and very easy to drink and a real ale style I am particularly fond of. We both really enjoyed our real ales in here and although we only stayed for the one each before we moved on for a first time visit we were very impressed with The Nottingham Legend Pub. The Nottingham Legend Pub is easy to locate on Lower Parliament Street. A great pub ,well worth seeking out if your in the area.

Found on the off chance it started to rain so nipped in not very busy as 7.45 on Thursday evening however good background music really good on price worth a visit

When I dropped in it was 16.00 on a Friday afternoon, so not peak time. There was a 1980s CD playing on the music system and that felt so appropriate. I felt like I had been transported back to 1986, that's not a negative. I enjoyed my well priced pint of London Pride and watched the game of pool being played.....there's also a dart board. I'd imagine that when the Panthers are at home the place gets rammed. There's loads of sporting memorabilia. Last time I went in here it was the Castle, it's always a bit odd when a pub feels the need to change its name. (Especially when not all the signage is changed!) There's a bit of a garden at the back...and at the front you can watch the Lower Parliament Street traffic. I think it's a legend.
