Really welcoming restaurant, lovely people, but such dreadfully bland tasteless vegetarian food, we had a range of starters and mains and all were like a flavourless sauce apart, ok, from the delicious houmous (but who needs to go out for a houmous as a highlight, right?)! The smell, look and aromas of lovely (grilled meat and fish with wonderful grilled veggies not available to vegetarian eaters ironically!) food all around was wonderful, but the flavourless, spice-less, vegetarian plates were, sorry to say, the token options one would associate with a traditional meat-based cuisine that knows how to do much better than this for non-meat eaters, but, as yet, doesn't try at all in this restaurant. If they could care as much for the vegetarian food options (we like protein too, please!) as their warm welcome, maybe vegetarians might feel more inclined to pop along, but, until then, not us. I do wish them well.

We ordered the koobideh kebab, and it had a really good taste. The staff were very polite and friendly. It’s a good place to experience Iranian food!

The atmosphere was good and food was acceptable but the staff were not very welcoming and were not helpful when realised we were not happy with a particular dish that we had. All in all the staff made it a not pleasant experience for us.

2nd time here, was very satisfied last round BUT (!) This round, the jouje kebab was not cooked properly. It was raw and pink. When we told the staff they started to discuss it, which is NEVER ideal. The Ghorme Sabzi and the koubide have also changed and not in a good way, TBH. The mixed kebab in the photo was OK, I'd give it a 5/10.

I went there yesterday (Sunday afternoon) after a heavy workout, and I was starving. As usual you hardly can find a restaurant without booking on Sunday afternoons, but the Persian Empire staff welcomed me with a very pleasant attitude and I could easily sit by my preferred spot. The staff were amazingly polite and hospitable. I loved the restaurant's atmosphere. Amazing decoration with very beautiful colouring. It was the tidiest restaurant that I have ever been to in Nottingham CC. And as for food, I can't express how excellent it was in words. I ordered Makhsoos, and it was the most amazing food that I ever had in years. Very big portion, and so yummy. I am talking about its kebabs and the very tasty rice. This is my favourite restaurant in Nottingham now, and I will go there more regularly.

An early Saturday evening betwixt-rehearsal-and-concert meal on a wet night! A splendid welcome in a spacious restaurant - attentive and friendly service.Great menu advice given with humour and knowledge. Bravo Massa! The food was delicious and well presented. I was in Nottingham for an event and came here by myself. Seated and served promptly, food was excellent but I didn't get to eat much of my main course. During my meal I left to go to the bathroom, I came back to find my table completely cleared of all the dishes. Staff saw me return and sit back down, and then made themselves busy until I managed to get a waiters attention. Made them aware that they took my dishes when I wasn't done, and I couldn't really stay any longer as I had a long drive back home that evening. I did receive an apology and they waived my entire bill, however if I come back to Nottingham I don't think I will be coming here again for a meal.

Got new cravings for Persian Food so I found this place on TikTok and decided to pay a visit, lovely fresh food made to order. Service was a bit slow for a lunch time but the waiters got the job done. Will definitely pay them a visit next time I am in Nottingham.

Ghormeh sabzi didn't smell like ghormeh sabzi and was too salty. Kebab was alright. I personally wouldn't go there for the second time.

We had (4 families from Lincoln) a day out in Nottingham today and at end of day, we had dinner first time in this beautiful restaurant, very delicious shishlik, kebab kobideh, yogurt drink (dough) and bread fresh bread. Nice and friendly sta ff, made our day perfect. Thank you guys and definitely will come back and recommend hundred 💯.

Estaba deseando probar algo diferente, pero tristemente estaba decepcionado. Llamaron para reservar una mesa (según su sitio web) pero nos dijeron que hacer una reserva en línea, lo que hicimos. A la llegada, ningún registro de nuestra reserva y se le dijo bastante groseramente que estaban totalmente reservados. Sin embargo, lograron apretarnos en una esquina. La comida era muy mediocre, el ambiente pobre, el servicio al cliente del personal también pobre. No volvería a ir o recomendaría.

Our friends from work were raving about this place and when we visited we found out why ! Sumptuous kebabs served with saffron rice. Can't go wrong with that. You do need to have a big appetite to fully enjoy this place. Absolutely fantastic experience every time we've been here.

I am totally surprised that this restaurant did not get 4.9 or even 5 The food is the best The service is outstanding Basically everything is perfect including the location. However, Iranian food is better served fresh so I can imagine that people who order the food to be delivered to them may not feel the same. Any how, this is among the best Iranian restaurants I have visited in my life.

I went to Persian Empire restaurant in Nottingham, with 9 friends. Most of us ordered kebab koobideh with rice, but we were all dissatisfied with the portion size relative to the price. Additionally, extra charges applied for every detail, such as bread or any other extras, which was a negative point compared to other restaurants where side dishes are included in the meal price.

It was surprisingly quite busy for a Monday but this restaurant did not disappoint. Service was quick and the server was friendly and helped us picking starters. We went for the mezze platter. The bread (more naan like) was too big, so keep that in mind when ordering. Sea bass and chicken dish we ordered was beautifully cooked and the portion was enormous. Such a hearty lunch! Will deffo come back here again😊.

I was there for first time and been waiting for nearly half an hour none of appetizers! And usually if u go any restaurant first they serve by some appetizers! Really expensive bad customer service and never recommend it

Beautiful homemade food , totally faultless, not overally expensive for what you get neither which is fantastic.

We had to remind them 3 time to get a bottle of water. The rice portion was very small for an Iranian dish.

Wonderful Persian food. Will definitely be back again my chicken had a crispy skin but was beautifully moist and just fell off the bone. I am not usually a great lover of rice but the mix of plain rice, saffron rice and barberries was delicious

Anteriormente visitó enero de 2023 y me encantó entonces. No hay ningún cambio en absoluto para nuestra segunda visita. Personal agradable, buen servicio, comida realmente excelente y tampoco demasiado caro. Probablemente mi restaurante favorito del Reino Unido. Muy recomendable.

Just had a meal here with my husband. We really enjoyed our starter of aubergines and walnut mix with separate order of bread. Unfortunately the Persian lamb stew was not a stew! It was a lamb shank with a small side bowl of bland watery sauce. My husband had grilled chicken, again this was bland and salty! Shame on you chef! This wasn’t an authentic meal! Don’t bother unless you’re looking for bland!

The chef should show some decency! Went there with my wife and tried some of the Persian cuisines. The restaurant wasn't that bad, even for a Persian couple, and the waiters were really lovely guys. The problem was that when we asked if Fesenjoon dish was sweet or sour, which depends on the recipe from which part of Iran you follow. The waiter asked the chef, and the chef said it's sour-sweet, which, by the way, we didn't agree. We raised it with one of the waiters, and the chef started arguing out loud! I mean, he could at least show some decency and either lowered his voice or waited for us to leave the restaurant and then started throwing his tantrums. Overall, and with all due respects to the other gentlemen there, we're never going to go back there.

This is an absolutely must !!!!!! For whoever is persian this is the best persian food i ever had it in UK i tried multiple locations from UK and this the best one! Food is incredible tasty and delicious! We loved it! Guys and girls they serving you so quick and nice , is 💯💯🔝🔝🔝!!!! Highly recommend! Zana he is an amazing waiter he served us so nice ! Thank you to him and to the chef ! The speciality of the chef is amazing taste amazing the red sauce!!!

That was great to have paid parking right next door. Only visiting the area, for few ours, I couldn’t compare the food with the rest of the Persian cuisines, but compared to what I recently had in London and Newcastle, they may rank the lowest. Barg kebab I had at those places were quite superior. P.S. The staff couldn’t be any more rude and grumpy.

Had a lovely meal at the Persian Empire on our recent weekend break in Nottingham. The kebabs were excellent. The service very friendly and a fair price. It was a little quiet but Sunday evenings often are. Will certainly go back on our next Nottingham visit.

I recently dined at Persian Palace in Nottingham and I must say, I was absolutely blown away. The interior of the restaurant is simply stunning, with intricate Persian designs and beautiful artwork that reminded me of the ancient city of Persepolis in Shiraz. But the real star of the show was the makhsoos kabab that I ordered. The kabab was perfectly cooked and seasoned, with tender, juicy meat that practically melted in my mouth. The flavors were exquisite, with just the right amount of spices to give it that authentic Persian taste. I couldn't get enough of it! The service at Persian Palace was also top-notch, with attentive staff who made sure that my dining experience was nothing short of perfect. I left the restaurant feeling satisfied and already planning my next visit. If you're looking for a taste of authentic Persian cuisine in Nottingham, look no further than Persian Palace. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Ate here for the second time prior to the theatre. In short excellent service, good value and some great flavours that are worth trying. To top it off I left my wallet at the table and two hours later it was returned to me with a smile. Hidden gem.

Quality dropped since few years ago, but prices increased significantly. However, still good authentic persian food in Nottingham.

We had such such a great time here!!! and the waitress Mahsa was super kind to us as we’re not Persian and we had no idea what to order 😭 she walked us through every dish and dip, with so much patience and she’s always smiling. will definitely come back here again, such an amazing place

My first experience of Persian cuisine & certainly won’t be the last. I got the Chenjeh Makhsoos which was lamb done two ways with saffron rice. Absolutely delicious. The lamb was tender & moist, and the rice perfectly cooked. Will definitely return next time I’m in Nottingham.

Food is delicious but recently they are greedily cost cutting by lessening portions and making you pay for simple things like salads which used to come with the meal even though this is still standard in any other Persian restaurant.

Visited with the family and we weren't disappointed... The food was on point! For starters we had salad olivieh and kashke badamjan absolutely delicious although I felt the portion sizes could be improved on. For the mains the baghali polo, sabzi ghormeh and barg kebab were very satisfying. Altogether a very yummy experience!

It was my first time visiting Nottingham and the best thing was to find a nice place for well cooked lamb. The staff was friendly and welcoming 🙂. The lamb was OMG so yummy 😋. We tried the neck lamb stew with traditional rice and traditional Iranian bread. Absolutely delicious, the lamb was cooked to perfection and the portion could easily feed two people. This is a lovely restaurant, with high standards in hygiene and care.we have been going as a couple for a while, monthly normally more or less, the food is freshly cooked,and its good for both meat eaters and vegetarians, the rice is very special and... many vegetarian dishes including starters and main and sides. They serve wine and soft drinks and very reasonable prices. The staff are courteous and friendly..and very welcoming. This is one of our most favourite places to eat at. Many thanks Persian Empire. I thought its time I did a review again..we visited last week!

I tried this place for the first time on a Monday night, I was very impressed and will be returning. We had a starter of some bread and dips. Then all members of the party had meals which were all delicious. The meat was cooked beautifully and was tender, rice was the best I've had for a long time and the speediness was superb. Staff were friendly and helpful too.

Posting this 10 mins after having a meal here with my team at work. Absolutely fantastic! The food was beautifully cooked and presented. The flavours were delicate, subtle and each mouthful made you want more. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, taking the time to explain the menu. It was my first time eating Persian cuisine. It will definitely not be the last as I plan to return here with the wife very soon. Thank you Persian Empire for a fantastic meal! Edit: Came back today (13th Feb 2024) with the wife. Different staff, same amazing food, service and ambience.

In the city centre of Nottingham we went back to this restaurant as guests. The staff was friendly and helpful. We ordered a variety of Persian food. One more delicious than the other. It’s best to order a few dishes if it’s the first time you go to an Iranian restaurant so that you could taste them all.

I was very disappointed when I have phoned the restaurant and asked whether they will accept a guide dog, as it is an assistance dog. I was then told that they don’t accept any dogs, to which I asked: even assistance dogs? I was then told no once again.bearing in mind that is illegal and an access refusal, I was quite upset about this. I was looking to bring a group of people there as it sounded like a nice restaurant, offering something different that I have never tried before, but now unfortunately I am unable to do it. Very disappointing that a restaurant offering quite unique food cannot stretch to accommodate an assistance dog.

Went for dinner tonight. Delicious beautiful food. Beautifully presented on huge square plate- very artistic- but the taste was amazing. Nice ambiance, nicely dimly lit so easy on the eye. Great Turkish feel decoration. Nice friendly helpful lady who served me. Warm and comfortable place. And almost all the diners appeared to be Turkish/Arabic so it must be good. Second time I have been in a week because I live on Fletcher Gate, just 5 minutes walk away. Lovely experience and great tasting food. And very reasonably priced. Visited the restaurant on Sunday 27th, September, after waiting for 25minutes for someone to take our order we left. Would not have minded the wait if the waiter had not walked past our table to take the order from another table who came in after us. Will not be returning.Although I got my date wrong it was the 24th we came in at 5 o'clock and left at 5.25. It was a male waiter and on leaving a female member of staff said I hope this has not put you off from coming again".

Beautiful food First experience of Persian food and wow I wish this restaurant was nearer home The portions are amazingly generous and really delicious The meat was cooked to perfection, the chicken soft and tender and lamb just pink in the middle The forgot one of our side dishes which was unfortunate but with the size of the portions, as I couldn’t finish mine, it was no loss and there was no quibbling about the bill The food was that good the missing dish doesn’t warrant reducing the star rating We will definitely me back
