I had jacket potatoe & beans & a latte. Good value for money.

My friend and I went this morning for brunch, definitely our favourite place for vegan breakfast - variety, quality and truly unbeatable price. Friendly staff and welcoming environment, can't fault this place.

Food was tasty and service was good. Bit of a wait on Saturday. Food was straightforward but not too pricey which for central Nottingham is awesome.

We had the vegan breakfast. It was nice and great value. Very busy, but efficient staff that were friendly and pleasant.

Food was below par. Ordered avocado on toast and served guacamole on toast which was awful. Cooked breakfast was ok, the eggs were cooked perfectly but the bacon and sausages were a bit tasteless unfortunately. There were no condiments or sugar on tables - had to ask for it and wait. Staff though, were lovely.

Visited Nottingham and was glad to find this place. Really good vegan breakfast. Defo going back if I’m ever in Nottingham again

fantastic. absolutely brilliant. came here for a full English on a Sunday morning. the food is excellent, great value and the cafe itself is lovely. light and airy and so clean! staff are really friendly and food arrived quickly. and the extras for the breakfast such as an extra hash brown are really good price. will definitely be visiting again. soon!

This place is the epitome of affordable greasy spoon. Great location, decor is peak B&M or home bargains. Aside from the aesthetics the staff are super friendly and helpful, the food is the cheapest in the city and really great veggie / vegan options.

Bit booming place to talk in, high ceilings and bad acoustics. The front door catches you out as you pull it to get in and push to exit. Food looks okay and the prices very appealing. Nice friendly staff. Don't take the first date here as it would be the only date, or maybe she likes this sort of thing. Purple hair and metal on the face types eat here. Workmen love the place. Coffee was £1.90 and not really a strong coffee or flavour enough for me, a bit of attention needed here. Service I would say is good overall. Sneinton was once the salt of the Earth types but now all the Earth types walk about, strange and weird and diverse but not strong, so watch out. Yes I recommend The Avenues Café. Sort the coffee out and do something about the acoustics. Add 10p for the better coffee, who will notice 10p but rave about good coffee...

Went for the first time this morning (after a heavy night at Electric Garden) and the quality of service, food and atmosphere was top notch. The price for the amount of food you get in their big breakfast is phenomenal! 10/10 Get your hungover self there.

Regular customers for a number of years, quality and service remains very good - as whilst we are loyal if things weren't tip top, we'd try somewhere else

Food is ok, I wouldn’t advise eating the lunch menu thou. Breakfast only. Had the lasagne once, never again. Sloppy, no taste and hardly any meat in the layers. As for the service found one of the kitchen staff to be rude. Seen her mock customers and pull faces behind their backs. Not sure about her customer service if she thinks that’s acceptable to people who are in their cafe to buy food. Certainly not how I would want or expect paying customers to be treat. Awful service, average food and for what it is over priced.

Can't complain about the food at all. Prices are pretty fair. Waited for 25 minutes for my breakfast to arrive, Friday is busy with building contractors... Still, it's about the food this review, which is very nice *****

Went in after just walking by, and was really pleasantly surprised! Had a fab extensive vegan/veggie menu, and the service was super quick. Also very affordable with great portions.

Good caffee and I'm fussy about my food but always good here. Only problem is if you want beans and toms on your breakfast you have to pay the extra.

This used to be a top spot for a bite and a bevvy, but they've gone and hired a right proper plonker of a manager. This bloke's a right rude bloke, let me tell you. We went in there the other day and he started having a go at us for moving the chairs around. It wasn't just us, he started having a go at a few other people in the diner as well, all for some daft reason or another.

Nice little greasy spoon decent food

Went for breakfast but was disappointed with gristle on the bacon and really cheap sausages with very little pork. The egg was cooked OK but I put brown sauce on which tasted like sugar syrup and it ruined the whole breakfast. Don't use the sauce sachets. Service was slow but it was busy with construction workers. Price is high for the quality but they are really busy.

Decided to check The Avenues out for breakfast one morning as it’s right around the corner from me. Delightful little cafe with attentive staff, great food, a range of vegetarian options, and reasonable prices. Can’t go wrong. Will be frequenting this place regularly!

The quality of the food here is brilliant. Well priced. Freshly cooked and at a very fair price. The staff are always helpful and friendly.

10/10 prices, £6.50 for a large breakfast. Can’t go wrong. Ingredients are fresh and tasty. Two of us ate with 2 drinks and it came to £16. Good variety of seating and nice and clean inside. Not sure what someone would need more from a cafe.

Large cafe with plenty of seating area highly recommended the seats next to the windows. Did not have to wait long for my order with a free orange juice. The English Breakfast was delicious. The people who work there are friendly and helpful.

First visit today. Will definitely be back. We ordered a breakfast and a smashed avocado and poached egg on toast. Both were just right! Staff were lovely too!

I am so glad I came in for lunch. Proper tasty and substantial vegan food that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. Had the vegan kebab, chips and coffee for £6.50. Excellent customer service and very good food for the money. Highly recommend, they have a great vegan and veggie menu and I’ll be back again for sure!

First time trying this cafe and we was not disappointed. The portion size is really good and it was very reasonably priced. The vegetarian breakfast was 10/10. By far the best cafe in Nottingham. We liked the fact that it didn’t smell like fried food like many cafes do. Staff was lovely we will deffo be back!

Great space, good solid food range, always hot. Good service, easy to navigate if disabled with easy access toilet. Always clean and tidy. Very reasonable pricing and services.

Lovely cafe and tasty breakfast

Toast seemed as though it had been buttered with a sock, there was an overwhelming smell of EDL and shittt ingraland tattoos ( Forrest tattoos also ), bloke behind the till looked like he wanted to fold me like a deck chair and I’m pretty sure he wiped his aarse with my bacon.

This is an excellent place for a normal, veggie or vegan breakfast/meal at incredible prices that you will not find anywhere else. I highly recommend.

Lovely spot for a very reasonably priced vegan breakfast! Exactly what I needed after a fairly heavy night before! Wheelchair accessibility was decent and the staff were helpful and friendly. I was a bit confused that when I ordered tomatoes, what I got was tinned tomatoes, but maybe that's a regional thing (I'm a southerner!)

Absolutely love there are vegan options, my husband and I can easily eat out together. We’ve only been for breakfast but the vegan breakfast is absolutely delicious! The portions we’ve had at breakfast are large and really good value for money.

The food was fine. The service was excellent and friendly. We had an all-day breakfast, which came out swiftly enough. I can't say it was wonderful, though: the sausages in particular were fairly dull and bland to the taste, for example. The main drawback for me is that the place is a single, large, cavernous space, resulting in a lot of echo and, basically, noise. Worse, their choice of chairs and floor surface material react together badly: every time someone moves a chair and drags it's legs over the floor, an ear-splitting screech is emitted. Which is a shame. I'd eat there again, but I'd take earplugs, basically!

We eat here for a weekly treat once a week at least. The staff are friendly, but also efficient, and the quality of the food is very good value for money. There can sometimes be a short wait for food (whilst it's cooked) during busy periods, but it's worth waiting for, and any wait isn't excessive.

3 filling, 3 egg omelette with chips, coleslaw and salad. five great british pounds. when i tell you that this omelette made me so happy, i am NOT exaggerating. it was absolutely delicious. it was so good. the coleslaw was also divine. i’ve been to this cafe many times before and it has never come close to disappointing me. the food is not only such good value for money, but the vibe of the cafe is unmatched. it is so friendly that i for one truly believe that it lives up to its mantra as ‘nottingham’s friendliest cafe’. i feel so at home. the avenues: i love you.

Incredible vegan food - this is our favourite place, probably in the country, to come for a truly decent vegan breakfast. A really thoughtful range of vegan hams, pastramis, sausages, and of course beans, hash browns... you name it. If you fancy a naughty breakfast and a nice plant-milk latte, this is the place to go!

I stumbled on this place during my day trip in Nottingham. Quite a long vegan menu displayed outside caught my eyes - plenty of mock meat sandwiches, paninis, or baguettes to choose from for great prices! We tried their vegan pastrami baguette and vegan salami and sun-dried tomatoes panini, and both were really good. The place has a very local feel to it and I found it very welcoming!
