Lovely child friendly cafe making it easy to relax and enjoy lunch or a coffee and cake with your babies and children in tow. Service is friendly and welcoming and food is nice and very reasonably priced. I’ve been twice now since being on maternity leave and will definitely be visiting many more times

Such a lovely little coffee shop opposite the amazing Chalkwell Park. It's a great place to pop in for a cup of tea and a piece of homemade cake after a play in the park or even just to say to the regulars. Children are welcome - there's a dedicated play area and plenty of high chairs - and the menu has plenty to choose from for little fussy eaters (and adults too). That's a very welcomed perk for any cafe in the area where there are plenty of kids to please. I'm always impressed by the friendly and inviting atmosphere, and the effort that the new owners put into welcoming you. It has a real community feel. A great addition to an otherwise tired stretch of road.

I stopped in with a friend and our babies and we loved it! Friendly atmosphere and great fresh food. Although we had to wait we were happy to do so as it was cooked to order and the children are served first as we could see at other tables which is as it should be. It's clear that many things need finishing such as a changing area/decor but that certainly doesn't take away from the overall great experience! Will definitely be returning.

Very disappointed. Smashed windows held together with plastic. What the heck happened to the last owners? It used to be a cafe you got fresh sandwiches and a lovely cup of tea.... No longer available at this place. Sad....

Fantastic food, really huge portions. The fish was beautiful I cooked, with the squid being equally delicious I ordered for collection and they had it ready exactly on time.

Brilliant views and a range of tapas. Always thrilled to see arancini on a menu. Decent servings. Local beer in a bottle too. It was pretty busy in the late afternoon on Easter weekend, but still a few tables available for walk-ins. A few people had kids. It seemed child-friendly. The toddler at one table was enjoying the chips. A child at another had an ice-cream sundae which I would have got if it hadn't turned chilly. The Grove is on the way to the high street, and only a short walk from the beach. A lovely stop on a relaxing day out of London.
