The Trading Rooms in Southend-on-Sea

What a great find, food was fabulous and great service. We watched the multi tones in there last night, absolutely fabulous, can't rate the trading rooms enough.

We had a great night out in the trading rooms the locals and staff were very friendly they had a band playing it was quite busy but still got served quick. We didn’t try the food

Well the pub not dog friendly did manager the lady got a bee on her bonnet and she not dog friendly at all she grab my drink chuck it away ask me to leave at that time at night there food expensive they too face they stuck up they more police friendly they where trying to get my dog shot by essex police she horrible lady she bad person some guy volunteers refound me for my drink said police where on way

A great place to eat and the food was amazing. It was quite noisy and the tables were very close together.

Great food, lovely service, and I loved the music as well, very nice to listen to while enjoying a meal. It's like a pub, but upgraded to classy decor and hearty, but refined, food. Going back as soon as I find the time.

Visited there new year's 23 singer, had dinner, The service was great. The food was nice and good value.

Some great local ales, and reasonably priced. But traffic noise can be disturbing at times. However, there are a couple of Pokestops nearby... and staff are great.

Lovely place, christmas decorations up, friendly staff and fantastic food !!!, 20% off all food when produncing palace theatre tickets. Our party had the fish and chips, (huge piece of fish), the chicken breast with stuffing and cranberry mayo burger, i had the cumberland butchers sausages, with onions, peas and mash and it was lush, highly recomended.

Came to the trading rooms with my Mum for the 1st time for Sunday lunch today. Both of us had a roast dinner and were served by a charming American lady called Alanya. She made us very welcome and made sure we were completely looked after. Other staff also checked in on us including the manager or owner which was nice. The food was amazing to match the excellent service so will definitely be back on another day soon.

A gem of a pub that is nice and cozy on the inside and petite on the outside. Well thought and concise menu catering for all including vegans. Excellent prompt service and the food was top quality and justified the price. Must visit for a great British pub experience for one and all

So I went in here for afternoon refreshment with my disabled daughter I asked for hot water to do a baby bottle milk as she is medical has her bottle via pump and the bar staff said no plain rudeness and disgusting towards anyone with medical needs or disabled I would not recommend any one or who has medical need to eat or drink at this venue thankful the plough who are very friendly as kind towards disabled children or anyone with medical Leaving this review as my complaint for every one in public can see and beware of this behavior They can serve and feed everyone else but not disabled medical children or disabled ?

Looks like just a pub inside with few tables scattered round. Was quite busy but service was excellent as was food! Also got 20% off bill as we were going to Palace theatre!

Looking for pub grub on a Monday around Southend, I happened upon Trading Room. Really nice place, decent menu, good range of beers, nice staff and playing good background music (60s, 70s)

The pub food was good quality for money and bar lady called Lynne was very friendly and helpful also welcoming. I definitely be coming back again.

Air conditioned on an unbearably hot day. Attentive, non-intrusive service. Excellent choice of traditional pub grub nicely served. Will go again.

What a great find! Wife and I were looking for somewhere to eat & found this lovely pub close to the Palace Theatre where we going that evening. The pub is very quaint and clean, the staff were really great especially Bo our server & Jenny at the bar so helpful and friendly! Food was terrific, nice and hot, tasty, nicely presented too beer was good too. Next time we visit the Theatre we will 100% be back, Thanks so much, Steve & Julie

Usually such a lovely pub and Usually such great staff. Went this evening for dinner (22nd August) totally ignored by staff. Waited for over 45mins and not even given menus. Had to walk out - absolutely disgusting and bitterly disappointed

Stumbled across this little gem of a pub on a Sunday afternoon. We had no expectations as we thought just another pub with easy food, but how wrong we were! The warm welcome at the bar to faultless service from the staff serving our meals. The whole place had a traditional and friendly feel to it and we are already finding an excuse to go back

Just had a quick bite and a few pints in here. Really decent food and lovely clean pub. The thing that stood out for me most were the staff, smiling, attentive and generally looked like they wanted to be there. This is quite unusual in licensed places round here. Pleasant experience, will be back

Thought I'd try here for a quick lunch and a few pints. Really decent food, 2 courses and 2 drinks each for me and my wife for £55!! The best part was the service, well done Trading Rooms, lovely staff. Will try the Sunday Roast, apparently amazing. Just be aware they open at 12 not 11. Will definitely return.

The Trading Rooms is a boozer more than a pub you eat at. I've never eaten there, so I can't comment on the food. It does have aircon which was welcome on what was a warm day and they do have seating area outside the front, some are in the sun, some are in the shade so you have options. Staff were friendly enough. I had 4 pints of cold Guinness (£4.40 per pint) which were very nice - if you like Guinness - and it was pleasant way to spend a few hours on a late Sunday afternoon. Would definitely would pop back again for a pint.

Good pub nice bit of grub and bonus of a discount if you're going to a show at the palace or Cliffs just show the waiting staff your ticket

Enjoyed a soft drink . Nice atmosphere. My dog welcome. Staff polite. Happy to make fresh bowl water for dog. Help from staff to get pushchair up steps when leaving

I've been for lunch on a few occasions and it's always been really good. The staff are friendly and tentative. Food arrives on time and good size portions. It's a cosy and welcoming space. Only issue is that you can only use one door to enter if you have a buggy. Toilets are upstairs so not ideal if you have kids. I didn't need to change the little ones, so not sure if they have changing facilities. Ideal for adults could improve a bit for kids.

Visited while on a day trip to the area. Several TVs for the football and very reasonably priced. Friendly locals and all together a good pub - recommend it

Lovely Sunday lunch here. Food was great and reasonable priced. Would definitely recommend! We didn't book a table and they did fit us in, however it looked quite busy so I would book in for future visits.

A decent roast at a great local pub!

Was watching a football game on the tv with 15 or so others good atmoshphere and no problems until half time where the pub had deicided that one scottish women who wanted to watch the rugby was more important then the football and that we would all have to move to make way i have no problems with someone wanting to watch the rugby but to not tell us and turn the football off half way through is just not right.

Superb Sunday roast. Beef was perfectly pink. Excellent gravy, cauliflower cheese, roast potatoes and veg. Decent Malbec. Service from Paige and Abby was exceptional 🌟

Fantastic pub and restaurant! Come here a few times a month and I’m never let down by the service. Enjoyed a delicious meal that was delivered promptly and was offered desserts and drinks after each course. Freya and Paige were our servers (great service!!) and the rest of the bar staff are extremely warming and welcoming! Will always be a returning customer :)

Trading room is our local pub and we absolutely love it! Today was our last visit as we are moving to Canada next week.. we were served by Paige & Abbey who were brilliant. Fantastic last lunch at the trading room, we will miss it so much! All the staff and locals are brilliant. Thanks so much Xx

Come here quite often since moving a few roads away. Food is good and decent enough beer. I would like to see more options added in the future. Staff are really friendly and helpful.

Quiet and tidy for lunchtime / afternoon visit. Outside seating a boon. Reasonably priced "pub" food (fish and chips / steak/ roast chicken etc.)

Lovely decor and good choice of drinks. 2 cocktails for £12 on Fri and Sat. Food menu available and offer for greater goers. Overall, great pub.

We visited twice when our daughters were performing over the weekend at the palace theatre. Both days the staff were so helpful and friendly, wishing our daughters’ luck and just being super lovely. The roast dinner was absolutely delicious too. We’ll definitely be back. Also a discount was given as we were attending the Palace Theatre!

I dropped my entire wallet at the bar I went to look after a while I explained to the bartender they looked at a bit chua a la and then ano said you arrived late but I'm sure you took something from the bar

By far the nicest pub in the strip along Westcliff. Much better than the other ones nearby where there are always fights and massive crowds! Nice bar staff and very clean!

Popped in with all my old pokemon cards only to be met with weird looks . No one there wanted to trade a thing other than money for alcoholic beverages and/or food. So I got drunk and ate a burger. Was alright.
