Excellent service,and top quality food

Fantastic dish, today I ordered the new Kofta Flatbread, I highly recommend it, it tastes delicious, hearty, beautifully served

Out for lunch with my wife, my daughter and her partner as they live nearby. Food was ace, service was ace and the staff were really friendly. It would have been 5 stars but the John Smiths was a bit flat and watery so I've dropped a star for that. The Guinness however was spot on.

Came here for an anniversary meal yes we knew it was a pub lunch, there was 7 of us and food was all greasy, all black stuff off the grill was all on our food, gammon, chicken and burger. My mam had to send her food back as it cold. Won’t be coming back.

Food always excellent, 10/10 from me! Atmosphere is also fantastic and I'd like to give a special shout-out to all the Staff!!! Especially Elle who was incredibly accommodating and friendly at all times! Would always suggest coming here if it's your local pub!

We had dinner here today with my husband and one of our friends. The food was served in a short time. The food was very tasty and the portions were large. The staff were nice and attentive.

Tasty food at a reasonable price. Service with a smile.. was quiet when we were there as it was after the lunch period.

Food was nice and priced really well for a lunch menu. They also have offers on for certain days of the week. Staff were great and a gluten free menu is also available.

Was here today ordered the salmon fishcakes which are absolutely delicious. Why aren't they available all the time though? instead of being restricted Monday to Friday between 12 and 4pm? Please please reconsider putting them on all the time.

Spent £60 on 3 drinks and 4 meals 2 of the meals were sent back as the lasagne was cold and the mac and cheese was cold. Also a booth 2 tables behind us has 2 men efing and jefing not pleasant at all especially with 2 autistic kids won't be returning

Me and my partner have been coming here for the past 6 years. Can't complain tbh, the food is always cooked perfectly and tasty. The atmosphere is really cosy and warm. And the staff are no bother. Looking forward to coming back again soon.

Este spot lo tengo regularmente, siempre tiene mucha costumbre sin importar la hora o el día, gran ambiente y la comida es encantadora también. El personal siempre tiene una sonrisa y es genial. Manager y el personal habitual de todos modos, chica joven debe estar teniendo un mal día se veía glum, eliodh o eloise creo que su nombre etiqueta dice. Pero eso es solo gripe que he tenido en ocasiones, pero que tal vez duro (estrés por exámenes o algo así tal vez) . Y me estoy agarrando a las pajas allí para pensar en algo negativo porque el pub es absolutamente genial y bien vale la pena el dinero y el ambiente es perfecto para un pub.

Check this out, might look rather tasty but the fries to the right hand side were actually brought to the table first and were barely warm I added a sauce and ate some not enjoyable at all my friends sweet potato fries were hot though I didn't complain or anything I'd only just returned from visiting my mam's grave down south, I just want to make the general public aware, of this. Also I didn't finish eating these because they weren't pleasant.

The mac and cheese and the fried chicken here is wonderful. It comes out in good portions for reasonable prices. Other menu items are mediocre though.

Visited Newton Park pub, and we enjoyed a family meal once again. We received a great welcome from Debby, and it was easy to order drinks and find a table even though it was fairly busy. I ordered meals and asked if we had any allergies in the group. Fortunately, we had none. The rump stakes were excellent. We all had very positive comments as the stakes were cooked so well. A special thank you to Lesley for her attention to detail and super attentiveness to our requirements. Lesley is always friendly and makes sure we are happy with everything. It is a pleasure to experience such a lovely time here at the Newton Park, 10/10 Five stars. John and family. 👍👍👍

Always enjoy a visit to this pub! Staff are welcoming and friendly and Debbie the manager always takes time to speak and make sure you are happy and satisfied! Food is lovely and great value for money too!

Very warm and inviting on a cold wet and windy day however I witnessed a man walk in and waited around 30 seconds and was very rude to the staff as the staff member was busy serving and he didn’t want to wait the staff shouldn’t have to put up with it

After a very stressful weekend we popped in the Newton for a chilling relaxing drink . We only planned on staying for one .. the staff and manageress Debbie made us feel so welcome we ended up staying for hrs and ended up having food which was also great !! I will definitely be back when am next back home !! Well a worth a visit great pub 😊

My wife has been there once and she loved it! That's why I was a bit curious to see the menu and also the pub itself. When I saw the menu first online, I just found there were so many great choices for me with obviously a reasonable price. Also, it's a family-friendly pub which my daughter loved too!

We as a family went early on new years eve for food. All tables we reserved for later on in the night we therefore had to squeeze onto a small table then in the middle of our meal which was terrible we got told the table we were on was also reserved in other words hurry up and eat youre food. This is my local pub and to be honest we won't be going back. Either do food on new year or don't the amount of people looking to eat before six then having to leave as all tablets we booked was disgusting

Come a lot and it’s always spot on great service and food and very friendly to the wallet too, nice ambience. Nice pub grub and service alls you need and this does it great.

Nice pub to spent time with loved ones...good recreational facilities and drinks options. The only point we felt it need to improve is a bit more variety on food options specially on veg choices..

Just returned from visiting Newton Park. Really enjoyed our visit had the £15.99 Christmas starter & main. Prawn cocktail absolutely first class and the christmas dinner really enjoyable. Not too busy at around 6pm but just a nice all round experience. Really recommend great service from Michael beh8nd the bar who was patient whilst I was paying. Also I think it would be the manager blonde lady and the girl with the long dark hair who both enquired if our meals were fine. In general great place to enjoy a christmas dinner,not overpowering and the food 1st class.

The food and service was really great and such good value, shame it was spoilt by children persistently running up and down the bar area. While parents might appreciate the free time this gives them away from their children, I fail to see why another people have to put up with their kids running aimlessly around, which is a danger to both staff and customers who are carrying food and drinks. Perhaps a word of two from a member of staff to the parents concerned would not have gone amiss.

Me and my mum came here for some dinner when visiting family. We were served by Ava who was brilliant and so efficient! She’s a credit to the team!

Cheap and cheerful. Kids love it when we play pool after food. Staff are happy and helpful.

Decent pub. Pretty average food but plenty of choice and reasonably priced. Friendly staff and good atmosphere. Good place to watch sport too.

Just want to say a huge thankyou to the team, we were there Monday and my grandad needed urgent medical help. The staff were so quick to help especially a lovely girl called Ami. Thankyou to the customer who helped us aswell. Lovely pub that we’ve came to for yours and will continue to do so.

We moved in new in area and were walking around early morning. Saw this beautiful place and decided to grab a bite. Probably too early for their 1 staff who was disinterested like should would rather not be there. After a short poor conversation, didn't want to endure what might come of her and left. It popped up on my feed 2 years hence and reminded me of why I have never gone back to this awesome looking place :(

Food is always freshly made, arrives hot and well cooked. The staff are lovely. Professional and friendly, especially Elle. The atmosphere is bright and a nice place to eat, relax, have a drink and chat.

Went for a lunch time bite to eat here. Five of us dining. All the food was presented well and all said it tasted great. I had the mushroom pie chips and peas. Tasted lovely. Another member of my party had chicken skewers onion rings and sweet potato fries. The rest of the party also had chicken meals. All were moist and tender and well cooked. Drinks well priced. Desert was baked ice cream Alaska. Service was excellent and quick and the staff very welcoming and polite. Will definitely visit again.

The food was absolutely amazing as always. We had the lasagna and chicken nuggets. Staff were friendly and welcoming especially Leslie and Helen they were lovely.

As I am unable to eat quite a lot of vegetables, salad is out of the question for me. I opted for Macaroni Cheese with garlic bread, and at the time of ordering, I asked if I could have something inplace of the salad, the answer was no. So I said to keep the salad off my meal, but there was no reduction in the cost, which I find is very unfair. The least the bar staff could have done was allowing flexibility.

I'm nearly 60 and gave been coming here for 43 years :) love the music selection. The foods always good. Nice selection of beers and nice staff. Wots not 2 like.

Even though there was a misunderstanding with one of the meals we will come again. Great food at reasonable prices. Simon was very good at replacing the meal and attentive without being intrusive. We all enjoyed the food.

Hi don’t do reviews very often but today we visited The Newton for a meal and a drink for lunch Service very good and beers were spot on ,unfortunately I must comment on your chicken pieces and strips which we had in our combo starter and my Katsu chicken main ,the batter was soft and mushy and the chicken was over processed shaped crumbs with no taste what so ever, not up to the usual standards we would expect from green king, can not blame the chef think the supplier needs changing ,been to your pubs on many occasions always enjoyed .

The quality of the food changes at times. I went there a month back and ordered mini mixed grill, the food was really good so went there again last week for the same dish. This time it was not good. Taste was different and felt like the sausage did not cook well

Me and the kids decided to grab some afternoon tea, we had BOGOF Burgers from the menu. The burgers were overcooked, almost black, and terribly dry. The onions weren't fried, just chopped up red onions mixed with BBQ sauce. The lettuce was fresh and crunchy which was nice but the whole thing was just dry and nasty, and the fried were barely warm. The drinks are an absolute joke too. Asked for large coke zero and received a glass with barely 2/3 of the glass filled. I mean seriously, it costs a fraction to fill the dang thing up to the line, especially since you're paying around £3+ per glass! For soda. The staff were friendly but there was particular member who didn't look very inviting at all, with almost a scowl on her face as she was pottering around serving. It's quite comical really. I've been here before and it was a 5/10 experience but I will be avoiding this place in future. The standard price for the burger meal I bought was priced at over £10 but was not worth that at all. The food is a solid 2/10. Save your money, go to the corner house where you'll get a quality meal at around the same price. They're quite stingy with drink top ups too so be warned. It's really becoming a pet peeve of mine that you pay over £3 (sometimes almost £4) for a soft drink to receive a glass with 25% of its contents missing. Do better hungry horse.
