Saturday bar meal ham, egg& chips for 12.50, good service and pleasant service

I liked it here, we were on the Shropshire real ale trail and a bus deposited 4 of us here. We had a chat with a man and his much younger wife about a helicopter trip he'd been on that morning, which his wife had bought for his birthday. We also drank two pints of very nice beer before getting back on the bus.

This being our first visit for a few years. Sunday lunch was as superb as ever it was. Choice of roast meats, freshly cooked vegetables lovely cauliflower cheese, all plentiful. True home cooking. The young ladies waiting on were all friendly and polite. We are looking forward to going again very soon to this much appreciated country pub.

I rang at 2pm asking what time they served food till was advised 4.45 pm so turned up at 3pm to be turned away loads of tables empty young girl saying they haven't enough meat think this is very irresponsible of the staff we travelled along way aswell

Visited tonight for Pie and Pint night and food was superb; Tremendous service from Holly. Sunday lunch very good too. This pub has been totally transformed from the devastation of the previous owners. Good food, good beer and excellent service; what more do you need?

I've not eaten here before. However, the food always looks lovely. Good beer and fabulous atmosphere.

First time we have eaten here, starters and main , bloody marvellous, great pub to visit, we have a seasonal caravan pich over road, will defo be back , we'll done all , Neil and Theresa

We stayed local at a caravan site, found out we couldn't take our dog to the local restaurant, and couldn't eat Sunday Lunch out, quick call and we were at the New Inn in 10 minutes, lovely food, service a little slow.

Great Sunday lunch, including three choices for vegetarians and the two we tried were tasty. Plenty of veg and gravy, nice and hot, good value, friendly staff, we will go again.

Had the most delicious Sunday Lunch. Would recommend it . All the staff and Landlord make you feel vey welcome.

Inn advertised doubles @ £3.40 on a slate specials board by the bar. My wife bought Milibu & coke. They charged £5.50 for the double and 50p for the coke. Queried with landlord following day and he stated the special was for house spirits, not Malibu. Bit amazed as we had spent £88 for the sit-down meal and drinks. Felt conned.

Inside was OK. Nice and dog friendly. But then someone was trying to get someone a drink who was barred. Then, a regular gets their drink before me. It happens! But the table outside, it seemed every 3rd word was the F word. I work on a building site, and even I was surprised at how bad the language was.

Went to the outdoor music and barbeque yesterday , so didn't eat . Seemed friendly and beer a good price !

I was delighted to bring my 93 year old young Dad for lunch on Sunday. I was visiting from Australia and the last time I was there was over 4 years. We were not disappointed. The two young ladies who were taking people to their tables were very courtesy and nothing was too much trouble. The Sunday roasts were lovely and Dad thoroughly enjoyed his trifle. Even though the place was busy, everything flowed and atmosphere lovely. Hope to bring Dad again very soon.

We popped in on a Thursday night , Pizza 🍕 night !! OMG bloody lovely and only around £10/12 for a 12" . We stopped most of the night . The Guinness was absolutely spot on . Was made very welcome by the staff , landlord Mark and locals alike . Also the price of everything from beer to food was fantastic value . Great night , we're planning to go back this week while still here on holiday, can't fault the place 👍👍👌👌

Lovely traditional pub with multiple rooms so choice of quiet locals pub, dining, television room. Good fine ales and wines, snacks, and pub food available. Very dog friendly with a a treat jar on the bar. All in all a nice experience

Proper pub, good honest food, reasonably priced. Sunday lunch is decent and the desserts are spot on! Well worth stopping in for a pint!

Just had the lamb Sunday roast and it was the best roast dinner I’ve had and the lamb was cooked to perfection and the dessert was amazing. Would highly recommend this place for a Sunday roast.

Lovely people and food cooked to an excellent standard. This is my second visit in a couple of weeks. First with family members for dinner and this time for lunch with a friend. Both times the welcome, service and food were outstanding. Finally a place that knows what true hospitality is!

Been here before and the Sunday meal was so good we (my daughter and I) decided to go there again, so we made a reservation the night before to avoid disappointment. Last orders for Sunday lunch we were told was 4:45pm so we booked for 4:30pm. Upon arrival we were ignored by a couple of young girls deep in there own conversation and after I gave a cough one eventually showed us to our table. My daughter who only eats chicken was told "No chicken left" no apologies or anything, so she decided to go for some tartlet. When meal came we were told no Yorkshire puds and there was no tartlet on my daughter's plate, we asked the waitress who said "oh ok will knock it off the bill" excuse me a plate of veg for her didn't look appealing at all. Then asked if we wanted the bill before being asked if we wanted dessert, reluctantly the dessert menu was brought to us being told "no cheesecake" so we decided what we wanted off the waitress went to come back 2 mins later to tell us " the chef has gone home and has shut the dessert shed so can't have a dessert" Omg what a fiasco, come on management get your act together. I appreciate you were busy maybe but surely the chef should be on site until customers have left. Word of mouth is key to a good reputation and after yesterday's shambles the words out of our mouths wouldn't do your business any favours.

Our Third vist to the New Inn Hadnall inside the past 3 weeks, this time for yet another first class Sunday lunch. Excellent quality, quantity and always piping hot which is always a must for a Sunday lunch. Service to our table was friendly, polite and professional in fact excellent, so well done to the waiting staff! A very good selection of desserts too which finished off the lunch with a sweet delight. The drinks are reasonably priced, and the fact the pub was extremely busy didn't slow down bar service which the landlord carried out with friendly and smiling efficiency. All the customers were also courteous and friendly to each other and indeed to us, which is also a plus for a nice relaxing Sunday afternoon. A sum up, is that this is a local village pub which shows genuine customer care and service, and gives you a good feeling that your custom is fully appreciated. We look forward to bringing friends over to the New Inn in the next couple of weeks. Thank you to all at the New Inn.

Often call in when we are in the area. This is a lovely local pub but everyone is very friendly as is Mein Host Mark. Not eaten here yet but we have been told that the Sunday Roasts are top notch. Lovely place

Everything you want in a local: Dog friendly Local sources food Pie night Great beers and wine. Ample parking Occasional bands etc.

Had an excellent evening meal and exceptional Sunday lunch great food great value great service highly recommended. The pub also has an excellent range of lagers and excellent draft bitters.

Popped in for a quick drink on the way home from Shrewsbury, it was all Christmasy we sat by the log burner, feeling cosy.

Lovely food and very good service

Went for Sunday Lunch and it was pretty poor. The beef was burnt and very chewy - wouldn’t serve it to a dog. Yorkshire was more like bread and butter pudding and the veg was over cooked. Won’t be returning any time soon.

Disappointing Sunday lunch. The Yorkshire puddings were god awful and the roast potatoes were anaemic. I seemed to have luck out with the lamb as it was atleast average. Others on our table had beef which was burnt and solid. The young members of staff avoided asking us "is everything okay?" as they were clearly embarrassed serving the meals.

Went in for a quick drink after walking with my husband and dog and ordered a pint of lager shandy Noticed something in the glass of shandy and found it was a SLUG. Took it back to the bar immediately and was given another pint but no apology or explanation given. I was going to try the pub for Sunday lunch but this put me right off. Will not be retuning

Very good local pub with at least least three real ales on at one time including a local ale on our recent visit. Wide range of food available and four choices for Sunday Lunch. Food was served quickly and had the option for onion sauce which was lovely. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Worth a visit but book well in advance if you want a meal at peak times at the weekend.

We had three meals here whilst staying locally and could not fault any of them. Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. Somewhere I would certainly recommend.

Always a warm welcome, good beer, great pub meals and dog friendly which is always a bonus.

Stumbled on this place by accident. Typical village pub. The staff member was friendly. Have no strong opinions just yet. Will eventually visit again though.

Food was good but marred by the fact we had to wait 2 hours for our food! Apologies and a partial refund given but didn't fully make up for the poor service. We would have had dessert, if service had been quicker.

The New Inn is a traditional looking pub/ restaurant in and out with a good carpark..A roaring fire welcomes you as you walk in with options to sit in the bar to the right,sit in the restaurant to the left or if your walking the dog go straight through and sit in the back .Whichever you decide you will get a warm welcome.We were eating so we were shown to the restaurant where a large farm house table was waiting for us..We were given menus,we gave a drinks order and the food arrived quite quickly.I had the curry with large chunks of chicken,huge chips and a whole nan bread to myself.The lasagne and the Pie and mash looked equally inviting. Obviously a "locals" pub but a good place to stop if you're out walking the dog or if you fancy a nice bite to eat.

Nice food although menu could have been bit more extensive. Wife wanted lamb but nothing on the menu. Overall i felt the prices were a bit steep. The quality of the food was good although a few little things could improve the experiance. Ketchup was a cheap watery version of the real thing. No onion rings with the gammon should be standard as most places do. Would i return proberly not paying better and more affordable meals in other places.

Stayed over in our camper last nigbt in car park. The staff and owner were all really friendly and welcoming even when there was 5 adults, 2 children and 4 dogs. We had food and was all lovely with amazing chips. Thank you for having us all.

First time at New Inn on the way home from Shrewsbury and made a good choice. Very welcoming dining and bar staff, seated and ordered quickly. Nothing pretentious, just good old fashioned Sunday roast with all the trimmings. Everything tasted really good, fresh veggies and the onion gravy was delicious. Very reasonable prices and great to see local produce being championed.

Food was adequate nothing to shout about.

The new Inn is a lovely cosy friendly place to eat in a well decorated pleasant surroundings,the Sunday roast is delicious,we have been three times now and booked for next Sunday also,the staff are very polite ,efficient and very quick with the service,It is our type of place which we passed by chance one day trip out,so pleased we did.Highly recommend.Rose and John Harvey.

Overall good breakfast, clearly very high quality food used. Pancakes could do with improvement but didn't ruin the breakfast at all. We visit very regularly and only live a couple of miles away. Most in the surrounding area frequents this place regularly - one of the villages best kept secrets I say.

We've been holidaying this week at Beaconsfield Park and we came to the New Inn on our first night. We were so happy with our experience that we came back EVERY night of our holiday. The food is fantastic! From the steak and ale pie to the fish and chips, we enjoyed it all. Very reasonably priced and lovely large portions. The staff were absolutely lovely. Gemma is a rock star and made us feel so welcome. Katie was also amazing and helped us out with a flip-flop emergency! This is the kind of place that makes you wish you lived nearby so you could come back every day. We plan to come back to Beaconsfield Park next year and we'll definitely be visiting the New Inn when we return!

Fantastic spot for food. Wednesday is pie and pint evening and they were excellent. The young lady Assistant Manager is brilliant. Definitely worth a visit. Pro tip: worth booking in advance, particularly if you're planning on arriving later in the evening.
