Warm, inviting and Friendly staff, they know how to do a proper roast dinner! Good atmosphere only thing it could do with in my opinion is a log fire. Would go back again

We had an amazing early evening meal. The venue is beautiful and the staff were all very attentive. Our waiter Lee was really helpful and friendly. The menu is packed with so many lovely options. Best Sunday Lunch we've had in a long time - certainly the best locally!! The veggie wellington was delish, as were all the trimmings. The beef looked cooked to perfection, too. We all left so full because we couldn't bear to leave any of it. Just about managed to squeeze a lovely pud in as well. The team were all lovely and were super accomodating in ensuring we could get a dog-friendly table. Will be back again super soon. Mega lush!

Baschurch is only a short drive from the town of Shrewsbury and it’s well worth it for the food at The New Inn. The duck scotch eggs with homemade brown sauce were absolutely perfect. The quail egg was soft in the middle and the outside delightfully crisp. All our mains were excellent. Portions are very generous and arrive with a good amount of vegetables. We barely had room for dessert - but couldn’t resist.

Consistently excellent food and service in a lovely country pub. The warm welcome only enhances the whole experience.

We went to the New Inn for a family Sunday lunch with our children, aged 5, 7, and 9. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service is absolutely excellent. What I loved is that the children's menu had an array of freshly cooked options to suit all palettes rather than just the standard chicken nuggets you get at so many restaurants. My eldest especially loved the beef roast dinner, with an enormous Yorkshire pudding, and she polished off the whole plate! The food was beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked. This is an excellent family friendly restaurant with a very personal touch to the service.

We decided to go out to the New Inn for a mid week dinner treat and we weren’t disappointed! We had a really tasty beer battered fish and chips supper followed by a scrummy sticky toffee pudding…delicious! The service we received was super friendly and the restaurant was very warm and cosy…can’t wait to return!

Well what an absolute gem in North Shropshire. Sunday lunch was absolutely delicious made with high quality ingredients. Picked the New Inn out of the many eating places in the Shrewsbury area. This was to celebrate 50th wedding anniversary with friends.Did not disappoint. Food was excellent,atmosphere the same.Hats off to Darren&Dawn for running such a great establishment.

Just had Sunday lunch at our local hostelry (New Inn, Baschurch) and would sum it up in one word OUTSTANDING !!!! Staff as always fab but the tastes in the food we had throughout excellent . We went to the New Inn after it was recommended to us by friends, the moment we entered the building, we were greeted by friendly staff showing us to our table. The pub is beautifully decorated and was very smart. The staff were very attentive without being overbearing. The food itself did not disappoint. It was all beautifully cooked and presented, and the portion per plate was absolutely perfect. We are all really looking forward to returning.

We visited last Sunday with our little French Bulldog and we were made to feel so welcome by Dolly and the girls. The food is superb and the service is excellent. The best Sunday roast we’ve had in a long time. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely evening meal here, food was excellent and the menu and wine choice was also good. One of our party has a gluten intolerance and they had a menu adapted for that. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the meal and we will definitely be coming back.

Is ALWAYS a Joyful experience to visit The New Inn Baschurch. The Dining Experience is just “Perfect” All Round. Made especially good as the hosts and kitchen staff go out of their way to tailor meals to cater for and offer [where possible] alternatives to diners with special [sometimes rather unusual] dietary requirements. The whole experience-The ambience of the place-made delightful by the hosts, staff and the excellent food is always delightful. It is why we keep coming back!

We had a very pleasant experience at the New Inn. From the warm welcome on arrival to the great choice of food on the menu, a very good menu indeed, we felt spoilt for choice. We went for the pie of the day and the fish and chips, neither disappointed! The beer was a nice local choice of real ales and clean lines.The wine choices were also fairly good. All in all a great local village pub, we will be back! Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

The good was amazing. We all had the roast beef and it was divine. The desserts were also fabulous, we had the creme brûlée and bread and butter pudding. Both were delicious. Definitely going to go back!

Another first class meal at The New Inn! Living close to Baschurch, we have eaten at The New Inn on several occasions. The staff are friendly, the beers are great (Butty Bach & Three Tuns, amongst others), and the meals are of a very high standard in a lovely environment. For recent meals we have had tasty scallops for starters, slow cooked short rib (mains), beef/Guinness/treacle pie (mains), fish and chips (of course!), and a delightful baked Alaska with a ginger biscuit base (puds). We will definitely be returning!

My partner and I walked into the restaurant for a dinner date and were immediately recognised by Dolly who seated us straight away and remembered our drink order from the previous visit a few weeks ago! The new menu was launched just that day, Dolly and Lee served us and both recommended dishes from the pre existing and the new menus - very knowledgeable, personable, friendly and welcoming! We ordered the Tempura Prawns, Garlic Houmous, then the Beef Wellington (pictured), and shared the Maple and Pecan Pie. All portion sizes were healthy - we were certainly full when we left! The service provision from Dolly is nothing short of exceptional. Lovely venue, foods, team and evening. We also met one of the owners, Darren who has such a passion for The New Inn and all the customers, this is very clear!! Thanks guys, we can’t wait to come back

My boyfriend and I have been here a few times. As a foodie, it’s one of my favourite places in Shropshire. Honestly can’t fault it. From the second you walk through the door, you’re greeted with smiles and such a warm welcome. The atmosphere is cosy, yet private and the service is faultless. The food is incredible with a good variety on the menu (I like trying different things and there’s usually something on the menu for that). There’s a lovely, peaceful outside area for the summer and that comforting, cosy atmosphere in the winter- it really has it all! They may be busy but they’re never too busy to stop and chat. The staff are happy and relaxed no matter how busy it gets. 100% recommend. Thank you for always making our ‘treat evenings’ so special!

Staff are always very friendly, beers are excellent. Arguably the best pub food in Shrewsbury. Mix between high end food, to stuff that suits the kids. Roast dinners are excellent also. All round very nice pub and made to feel welcome.

We visited on a midweek evening where the staff were attentive and courteous. The menu had good choice and when the food arrived it was well presented and piping hot, not wow apart from the red cabbage with the pie and the richness of the sauce. We were a little taken aback by a couple of the items on the menu at the price being charged. Starters a shell containing two scollops which were ok but not worth £14. The mushrooms on sour dough toast were nice and a reasonable portion. The fish pie very tasty as was the steak and onion pie. A lovely touch with a complimentary birthday Prosecco for the wife. Overall a very enjoyable visit we shall be back and the staff were first class.

We had a lovely lunch. It was all delicious and we couldn't resist the chocolate brownie for dessert. Everyone was really friendly and made us feel really welcome.

We booked last minute but staff were extremely helpful on the phone. Our meal was superb especially the specials - chicken main and steak pie. All staff in restaurant were very efficient and we did not have to wait long between courses. Highly recommended on all aspects.
