If you love great value great taste and a great atmosphere this is the place. Plenty to choose from on the menu. I highly recommend the Lew inn burger or if you are visiting on a Sunday a tasty roast dinner. Both of which will certainly not leave you feeling hungry 😉

As a frequent visitor, I can confidently say that The New Inn, Sidley, is not just a pub—it’s an experience. The combination of a carefully curated menu, an extensive selection of drinks, and the warmth and dedication from Lewis, Zoe, and their incredible team, makes it a standout destination for both locals and visitors alike. The Food Every meal at The New Inn is a celebration of flavor. Whether you're in for a casual bite or a hearty feast, the food here never disappoints. The menu strikes a perfect balance between classic pub fare and more refined dishes, all prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I’ve shared countless meals here with friends and family, and every dish is crafted with such care that it’s clear the kitchen takes pride in its creations. Whether it's a comforting pie, a sizzling steak, or their mouth-watering Sunday roasts, each dish feels like it’s been cooked just for you. A Wide Selection of Drinks When it comes to drinks, The New Inn offers a remarkable variety. The bar is stocked with a selection that caters to every taste—from locally sourced ales and craft beers to an impressive array of wines and spirits. Whether you're a fan of a classic pint or looking for something more adventurous, you’ll never be short of choices. The atmosphere is always lively but comfortable, with each drink served to perfection, complementing the food and elevating the overall experience. The Heart of the Experience – Lewis, Zoe, and the Team What truly sets The New Inn apart is the exceptional service provided by Lewis, Zoe, and their dedicated team. Their genuine passion for hospitality is evident in every interaction, from the warm welcome you receive upon arrival to the personal touches throughout your visit. It’s clear that this team cares deeply about their customers, and it’s this care and attention that keeps people coming back. They have created a space where you feel like more than just a guest—you feel part of a community. A Pub in Transition – Renovation with Purpose One of the most impressive things about The New Inn is how Lewis and Zoe have taken on the challenge of slowly renovating the pub, striving for exceptional standards without losing the charm that makes it so special. Their dedication to improving the space is commendable, but they face the challenge of balancing this ongoing renovation while driving the income needed to achieve their ambitious goals. It’s clear that they’re creating something truly special, a space that will shine even brighter in the future—but they’re doing it thoughtfully, making sure every change enhances the experience for their guests. A Place to Call Your Own As a regular, I can honestly say that The New Inn is more than just my local—it’s a place I adore, a go-to for both casual nights with friends and special family gatherings. There’s a warmth here that’s hard to find anywhere else, and whether you’re popping in for a quick drink or staying for a long evening of food and laughter, The New Inn always feels like home. Lewis, Zoe, and the entire team deserve every bit of recognition for the hard work they’ve put in—and continue to put in—towards making The New Inn a true treasure in Sidley. With food that delights, drinks that impress, and hospitality that’s second to none, it’s only a matter of time before The New Inn receives the broader accolades it so richly deserves.

On first impressions I was very sceptical as it is a very old pub and needeed alot of work. However the owners do everything they can to welcome you. We went with our 2 children 2 and 5 as they had a play garden. Well it wasn't much of a play garden and seemed dirty and run down. To get to it you had to walk through the smokers section which was really unpleasant and we all now smell of smoke on our clothes and hair. I was pleasantly surprised though how lovely our meals were and accommodating. Overall good but needs alot of work but top chef, manager and staff.

Myself and my family came for father's day lunch last month. The food was incredible. We had a roast dinner. The portion sizes were brilliant. The staff are warm and friendly and it feels like a real family environment. We've also been again for lunch and drinks with friends. They had a live band on which brought the whole community together. Will definitely be going back again. 🥰👌

This in my view is the best food anywhere they’re roast dinners are absolutely outstanding and I eat their regularly. I live not far from the sea but these do the best fish and chips. The batter is not too heavy. It’s light and the best thing about all the food it is home-made it is piping hot and it is always Brought to you with a smile. Nothing is too much trouble and everybody that works. There are absolutely lovely. If you’re lucky and go on a day where they have a band, you can have something to eat and tap your feet at the same time or even have a dance this is a five star pub⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Found this pub online as we were staying on a campsite nearby and popped in for dinner and a drink. Although the decor looked a little tired, the service was great. The one guy serving was clearly run off his feet but apologised for the delay and was super friendly and cheerful. We ordered food, he apologised as grill items were off the menu, but there was still enough choice. Our meals were huge, produced in good time and were hot and tasty. Would recommend as an affordable dinner stop if you were en route to/from nearby campsites.

Beautiful pub now totally spoilt by a rough crowd, kids screaming and running around and over loud music. If you want a classy establishment where you can actually talk while having a drink go elsewhere! Dreadful!

This is a historic pub in the heart of sidley. I have lived down here a couple of years and visited this little gem properly only recently when my nan moved local. I went to the bar and ordered a whisky mack and it was Refreshing that not only did the owner know what the drink was but it was decently priced unlike some places we have previously visited. The staff were extremely welcoming and it is great service in a local pub environment. The venue has a Relaxed feel and atmosphere enhanced by great tasty food again with unbeatable prices which I believe start at £5. On my last visit they were doing a charity raffle with some amazing prizes for great causes. I brought some tickets to support the cause and was lucky enough to have won a beer hamper which I was over the moon about. So if you like a proper local pub with welcoming staff, good food and beer and would definitely recommend the new Inn. Thanks again guys for the hamper

All 8 of us had a great 3 course meal of which every course was very tasty and I'd say hard to beat for value. The staff are all very friendly here and are happy to help. There is a good selection of drinks available all reasonably priced too. We are looking forward to eating here again. All the ingredients are local and not just frozen ready meal type rubbish you might get in some pubs! The five pound menu is great too!

The New Inn have been supplying a weekly local lunch club (Lunch Buddies) with hot and/or cold lunches since July 2016. We have yet to have meal we didn't enjoy and the food is always well presented and easily fits within our budget. We can't thank the New Inn enough for their continue support of this local community group.

The perfect venue for a private party. Easy access by train or car, gorgeous garden, well stocked bar, first class service with a smile, the best wood fired pizza outside of Italy! Nothing too much trouble for Paul and his team (= family) who are just brilliant hosts.

Cold, unwelcoming, unhelpful and the crushed new potatoes where full of grease. It's a shame as we are all local but when they turned the fan heater on and turned it towards the 1 person sitting at the bar we realised then we weren't welcome!! The waitress told us they had had a busy day and she was tired " we where the only table in there "!

Three night stay. Staff were very helpful and accommodating but the ‘luxury’ room was a let down. VERY small bathroom, unfinished tiling and floor and cold. Dust everywhere, dead flies and cobwebs in glazing, bins not emptied during entire stay. Very limited toiletries and tea/coffee tray. Old pillows without protectors. The breakfast was good but every item had to be ordered individually, nothing laid out for us to help ourselves to and there were no pastries or cereals

We used to have great breakfasts in the past at this location but we were both very much disappointed by paying 40 pounds for being served old bread under our choice of breakfast. First it was like it had been toasted several times at an earlier time that day and tasted like old toast and was extremely hard, thin and a very small slice of toast, that was not cuttable or biteable. When I asked to change it, I received then a slice of old, dry untoasted bread in a place that sells fresh bread every day. It felt like the avocado had shrunk a lot and the egg was cold as it came back within minutes. My husband had the same, old, dry bread under his choice of breakfast. The small amount of ginger and turmeric shot, was mixed with too much water too. The prices for eating out in general have been shooting up enormously in England in the last two years, however, sadly to say, the quality and service in some places have been going down. There seem to be a lack of awareness amongst the owners, chefs and services, that some people also have to work a lot to be able to have the luxury, which it is becoming more and more, to eat out and that they don't want to spend their money on badly prepared or bad quality of food for high prices.
