The Nest Coffee Shop in Southampton

I absolutely love this little place. I come to Southampton every week (live in Gloucestershire) and always try to get a coffee at The Nest. It is quite simply the best cup of coffee ever! The staff are the loveliest people you can ever imagine too. Nothing is too much trouble, always kind, always smiling, always working too. They do a loyalty card too so every 10th cup is free. Extremely good prices too, for the best service and coffee = Just wonderful. Thank you.

I'm not actually the first to review the coffee shop - it's part of the Robin's Nest Emporium and previous reviews have been under that banner. My wife had been to the Emporium several times before and had spoken highly of the coffee shop, and we went together earlier today (Thursday, 21 March) for brunch. I thoroughly enjoyed it - the setting is great as you are surrounded by lots of individual units selling vintage products, antiques, craft etc, etc - a bit like a typical pannier market. The food is all freshly made and very good. I went for the 'breakfast melt' - wow, what an indulgent, 'unhealthy' treat! Basically it was the full English in a toasted sandwich - sausage, fried egg, bacon, cheese plus the optional extra of white and black pudding!!!!! All for £6 - for the next week I will eat dust as penance!!!!! My wife had a tuna melt and we had cappucino and peppermint tea to drink - total bill was £15.50. The two ladies serving were very courteous and helpful, and we indulged in a bit of witty banter which added to our enjoyment. Will definitely return!
