Fantastic atmosphere, friendly service and great food and drink at a good price, this is our first choice pub every-time!

Quite frankly the best and most inclusive pub I've been to in London in many years. Great service from staff with personality and individuality. Large and very delicious vegan meals, good drinks and the funniest (customer-made, floor-to-ceiling) drawings I have seen since my art degree in the 90s. Took my 78-year-old Mum and 15-year-old son and we won't be forgetting it in a hurry. Absolute gold. Will be back asap.

Came out for a drink with my family- Unfortunately I didn’t have my ID on me and was challenged, which of course is acceptable, but was treated with the worst customer service, the lady who requested it was extremely rude to me and my father- ruined the evening

Staff are great and friendly and the atmosphere is always buzzing. Food is great and so are the drinks. All being said it still maintains the classic feel of a proper east end pub whilst being inclusive of all who come.

Fantastic Sunday road - we had the pork belly and it was scrumptious. You need to ask for more gravy though as they only put a drizzle on initially. It get's very busy on a Sunday and we had to wait a while for food, but we didn't mind as we'd had a starter and had lots of conversation to keep us going while we waited. The pub is quite small and it can feel quite cramped. However, great atmosphere. Great service and all waiters we interacted with were lovely. Would go again. You need to book in advance for Sunday.

An LGBT+ venue located near Columbia Road flower market - not big - the Nelsons Pub was a great spot for Sunday lunch. Okay the roast lunch is average though portions are huge and prices reasonable. What really made it for us were the staff who were friendly and welcoming and the vibe - the place was full. We enjoyed our visit and look forward to going again. Dog friendly and as a small venue (though perfectly formed) do book via text or Instagram.

For an unforgettable Sunday… don't miss the most delicious roast in the world at @thenelsonspub: relaxing atmosphere, welcoming environment, exceptional food and fantastic drinks… what more could you want? Between chatter and laughter with Ben, the owner and your table "neighbors", try the roast beef and the roast pork belly with crispy cracklings to dip in homemade apple sauce. Indulge yourself in the tasting of special yorkshire puddings seasoned with the gravy of the roast that, with perfectly cooked vegetables, will take you to Heaven! Then let yourself be tempted by cauliflower Wellington with a lot of soft cheese, perfect if you are a vegetarian but which can even delight the palate of the most convinced carnivores (believe me!!!), by baked camembert that becomes a stringy cream for an authentic moment of pure food porn or succulent mini-sausages wrapped in crunchy bacon ... For the alcoholic part you'll be spoiled for choice: wines, beers, ciders and spirits won't be missing on your table ... while you are already thinking of returning to #thenelsonspub as soon as possible! Martolina's word! My review: 🍽 FOOD: If the traditional Sunday roast is one of the most famous English customs in the world, at @thenelsonspub you'll understand why! Outstanding! 💡 AMBIANCE: informal, friendly in a typical 1825 building 💰 PRICE: low price range 👨🍳 STAFF / SERVICE: all the guys who work at the pub are very kind and attentive to every request, Ben is a contagious sympathy 📍 LOCATION: 32 Horatio St, London, UK E2 7SB OVERALL… can't wait to go back!!!

A lovely pub with really friendly and welcoming staff. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their day, both staff and customers alike. The Bloody Mary was great and our dog enjoyed the homemade treats and all the fuss that was being made of her! Lovely Service, Great Vibe, Excellent Drinks.

Went today for a Sunday roast after reading really good reviews. Inside of the place is pretty dated, with old looking furniture, wallpaper and decorations. That didn’t bother us too much though as we were there for the food. Unfortunately we had to wait 45-60mins for food, although in fairness we got a free drink each due to the wait. The roast itself was very good - I had the lamb and was very happy. Overall we probably wouldn’t go again as the food didn’t quite justify the long wait and drab interior (although it was close)

What a lovely pub such friendly and welcoming staff. Incredibly good cocktails especially for British pubs and a fantastic Sunday roast that caused me to have to stay a couple of extra hours so I could do up my pants!

It is a crowded english pub in the middle north east of London, a couple of bus stops from Schoreditch. We wanted to have a dinner, but there were only a few of dishes. 1-2 soups (we chose tomato which was delicious btw), a 5 types of pies. There was vegetarian as well. It wasn't a dinner like we wanted to have, and the place was crowded, but we enjoyed the time. The beers were perfect.

We popped in here to watch the World Cup and get some food. Service was extremely friendly and beer was great. We asked for a menu, expecting traditional pub fare but their popup restaurant is Uncle Boonam's-- southeat asian food cooked by gents who look about as far from Thai as you could imagine. And. It. Was. Awesome!!! Possibly best meal so far in London.

Shared a lunch of sandwich and chips with a friend here. Staff friendly, Didn't have to wait too long for food, which was great as on one hour lunch break. Food fresh and good value for money. The garden at back of pub is gorgeous and spacious a really good central location in St Ives.

Astonishingly gross lamb wrap. Malodorous lamb with far too much salt trying to hide the many problems of the thing. I hope their other stuff is edible.
