Friendly staff and Amazing food!!!

Fabulous food and such lovely staff. The food was fresh and you could smell the fresh fruit. I had a caramel iced frap...and I kid you not! It was splendid. You should visit mid week where it is quiet. But overall 10 10 xx

Didnt wait too long to be seated, the portions were shocking, paying £14 for 2 small pancakes that are stacked on top of fruit is criminal. The kids meal was essential the same as the adults. Deffo a place people would recommend on Tiktok due to its alluring presentation. Other than that, girls serving were lovely & tunes were great!

2 stars is a generous review, because the food was edible and no one was ill. Portions for the price are tiny and space on the plates are filled with a bunch of excess fruit that I’m sure no one really wants. Another one of these ‘fancy pants’, overpriced cafes. Wouldn’t come again, but if that is your thing, that’s fair enough.

I had been wanting to visit this place for 2 years! Finally had brunch with the girls here and it was perfect. Good vibes, good music, amazing service, good portion sized seasoned food, beautiful presentation of the dishes and reasonably priced aswell which is hard to find. Everyone was friendly from the girls serving to the kitchen staff cheffing it up. I ordered an Oreo Milkshake, not every place can get these right but THIS ONE! exceeded expectations. And it came in a takeaway cup with a lid so I could still finish my drink after we had left. Oreo Milkshake is not to be rushed, especially after a massive plate of food so I appreciate that nice touch👌🏾 I ordered the Lost in London £15.90 and it was TOP QUALITY! Beef sausage, I don't eat pork so this was important. The nicest beef sausages I've had in a long time. The beans tasted seasoned not straight from the can and the PANCAKES! banging! Fluffy and not dry. The fruits on top were ripe aswell. One thing to bear in mind, we visited on a Saturday at 13:15 (group of 3) and it was BUSY! If visiting in a couple or groups of two you may find you will be seated sooner just because the tables at the front are arranged in sets of two's. They do have 4 tables of 4 at the back which is where we were seated. The tables at the front of the Cafe are quite close together so when it's busy it can feel a little cramped. We waited about 10 minutes outside for a table as we were fist in the queue however when we left at 15:30 there was a long line of people waiting outside. This place does not take bookings so be prepared to wait during busy periods. I believe it was well worth the wait and I will definitely be coming back for more. Thank You Cafe East! You hit the spot!

This is pace is simply one of the best and is the pride of East London, Roman Road. There is ALWAYS a queue around lunch time, come for breakfast or around 11:30-12pm and you’ll get lucky, any later, you’ll need to wait for at least 30 mins. But, it’s worth it.

The place is banging, the food is banging, presentation is banging! All around smashed it... They just need a bigger place!

The service here is truly outstanding, and each dish is presented with artistic flair. Portions are impressively large! I particularly enjoy the addition of fresh fruits to their English breakfast. Great coffee too! Just a heads up: be ready for a bit of a queue!

This place is so cute and cozy! I've been to quite a few brunch places but Cafe East is by far the best. You are definitely getting your money's worth here.

There is a possibility that you may have to wait for a table especially if you’re a party of more than 5. There policy is that you can’t be seated until you have arrived with your party because they’re unable to serve/take any orders until then and have stated that in the past people have complained that guests have been able to be seated without ordering anything (due to waiting on others). The seating is very tight and you will find yourself having to get up during your dining experience to help guests get to their tables. The menu has a wonderful range of breakfast, burgers, pancakes/waffles and drink options. They have both veggie and halal alternatives. The food was AMAZING and presented beautifully. Note: bring cash as they seem to prefer this payment option more but you can pay by card. If you do that, they don’t provide the option to split the bill, which is a little annoying. Overall, a really nice dining experience but I hope they soon expand as it is somewhat a journey if you’re coming from South London (Streatham)

Service from the front of house is amazing . Betty always goes the extra mile for us . And the other girls are so friendly and helpful . They defo pick the rigtb staff

I had coffee, which was extremely pleasant. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The interior design was lovely, although the space was very small.

I came with my wife and kids, and honestly? The wait was worth it. The breakfast was beautiful. Eggs poached perfectly. I will coming back with my mama! Because this place is just a delight. The menu options really cover everyone, and you will not be disappointed.

Will have to queue up. Service is good and food is aesthetically presented with care. Lots of seating but not enough for their demand. I got the full english breakfast and enjoyed it. Average and affordable prices. Quantity is very good. Its a good cute spot but flavours wise it was nice but nothing extraordinary. Yet to try more of the menu as i hear good reviews about the pancakes. 7.5/10 There are halal options.

What a fabulous find. Honestly never had such a delicious and beautifully presented breakfast, served with a smile. We even went back again and qued the next day, before heading home to the Midlands. I hope to be back one day.

Wow. These mega breakfast plates will sure satisfy your hunger and taste buds. Even your eyes lol. Food was extremely delicious and well prepared. I recommend the French meets something which was a mix of sweet and savory. A little of both worlds goes a long way. Prices are fair for the food portions. I was skeptical at first but I'll definitely visit again. Did I mention all meats come in Halal option? Wonderful

The place is packed so seating is usually right next to other people. But food is presented well and tasty.

The food was mediocre. I got the “American turns into English.” It was well presented and the eggs were the best part about the whole plate. Though it’s something you can definitely make at home. There’d be no reason to come back here and get it again because there was nothing special about it. Considering we had to wait 30 minutes for the food I got rid of a star. The service is great here though, the waitresses checked on our table a lot and accommodates to your needs/preferences. 5 stars for the service solely. I would also recommend getting something to nibble on while you wait for your food. Or a drink :) They are also cash only!

A true East London gem! Easy to see why there's always a queue. Managed to get in for an early weekday breakfast and was SO impressed. Food is presented beautifully, like a work of art. The fruit and flower garnishes are so fresh and ripe! Wonderful colourful local art on the walls and service with a smile. 10/10 would recommend! NOTE: It's cash-only. There is an ATM just down the road though!

Cafe east is a great place to have your food or just a quick hot drink. The food is amazing and the staff are very attentive. I would have given the place 5stars but the only downside is the space is quite cramped. If you have a buggy or wheelchair it is a really tight squeeze but aside from that I love this place 💖

Long waiting times which could be solved or a bit better with a booking system. Don’t take card. Food was average, they cover your plate with more fruits than food to make up for the lack of food on your plate. The waffle seemed store bought sugar waffle i can get 5 for £1. The long wait times aren’t worth it. Food is not that nice, bland.

Busy cafe ! Menu & food excellent, service could be more efficient/better staff reaction & smile like the chefs do. Salad & meal presentations lovely along with being very fresh. Ambience great, atmosphere personally could be so much better, background music a mix of R&B, Urban, Garage & Rap? No English genre like rock, pop, disco or any well known classics, catering music wise for a certain custom & taste only plus more than a few of the rap tracks were political, with swearing (F**k) & N***er used. Apart from the background music & lack lustre service, fantastic!

The food, the presentation, and service were excellent. Probably one of my favorite breakfasts in London, and worth waiting for outside. I got the potato pancakes with poached eggs and my girlfriend got the cinnamon and banana pancakes both were so delicious and highly recommend.

Good tasty food, all the plates look great and lovely staff. Make sure you tip them! Not included in the bill.

Loved this place. The food was great and had a lot of flavour, it wasn't just a normal fry up and it has the best presentation. We loved that the staff was attentive. It is cash only and I forgot my card at home, so they figured a way to help me make my payment. Overall I was quite happy.

Food is fantastic, I have been there twice in a month. The cafe has a small and limited space so you are most likely to wait on a queue outside pending a free space. But food is so fantastic and presentation is lovely, Infact I salute the chefs.

Seems like a lot going on your plate but every bite is righteous there’s a reason why a lot of people keep going back as regulars! Flavours and the vibe is on point! My brunch was fire just had to eat each half of the plate Main/Dessert when ready… I highly recommend portions are perfect for a person.

426 Roman Rd, Bow, London E3 5LU We stumbled across this little gem of a place few months ago and we've been there every weekend. The food is fresh and delicious, the staff are really polite and friendly and always making you feel welcome. The portion sizes are huge so don't eat beforehand

Wait time was about 30mins which was alright. The food was absolutely worth it when it came. Cleared the plate and ordered more to go!

Would come to around £14 pp which is alright. Everything on the brunch plate was cooked perfectly, and tasted amazing. Can’t fault the food except for the excess of decorations. Staff were exceptional, although the restaurant itself is quite small and gets jam packed easily. Sometimes hard to hear yourself amongst everyone else’s conversations. Wish they took card payments too, but they only take cash. You can also ask for the halal alternatives to bacon and sausages I believe. Will probably come again! You can get more for your money at Querky Cafe, but the quality here is far better.

I enjoyed my food. Beautiful plating and delicious taste. I do found the place to be a tad too noisy though (music too loud). Cash only which is great! We must say NO to a cashless society.

I went with my mum and we loved it. Food was delicious and presentation was amazing. Service was really friendly and the chef sent us a free fruit platter to try which was so nice! We had a wrap and burger, but the breakfast food looked amazing too. Will definitely be back! I gave 4 for atmosphere as I would prefer the music to be a teeny bit lower volume. It’s a bit more expensive than your average café but this was reflected in the quality.

*Cash only* Food here was so nice. I got the pancakes with Nutella and banana which were super rich but just the right size. My family got various other breakfasts which were all really good. There is normally a bit of a queue to get in but if you get there before 11 then it's not that long, we waited barely 5 minutes before we were seated. Staff were friendly, and the price wasn't too bad considering how full we were when we left.

Saw this place on TikTok and I just had to visit 🤩 it’s totally worth the hype and both me and my friend loved our brunch meals so much!! One of the item was a bit stale, which wasn’t as described in the menu but nevertheless this place still deserves a strong 8.5/10 ⭐️.

The food quality and presentation are excellent. However, it's inconvenient to have to walk a mile to withdraw cash since they only accept cash payments. I also have concerns about security, as handling cash could make them a target for thieves wearing balaclavas and staffs in danger. I hope insurance companies consider this risk."

The place is quite small and the queue can get long but honestly it’s worth it because the food never misses! There are plenty of halal options too.

Over priced and don’t accept cards. Tried one of their omelette which stated chicken chorizo etc. didn’t find one single piece of chicken they filled it up with the cheap chorizos and I just picked them out didn’t like so much in it. It’s not worth waiting in the long queue for. They seem to be open Sundays now days. They are obviously dodging paying taxes hence cash only would not bother going again. Isn’t there a law where it states businesses have to give you choice to pay by card. Even the veg shop round the corner or high end restaurants give us the choice.

If you want to treat yourself or a loved one to a fancy yet delicious breakfast, Cafe East is the place to go! Small unassuming cafe from the outside but the vibe and food speak volumes. Been lucky enough to not have to wait in the usual long queue outside the few times I’ve visited. The food arrives freshly made so is hot and delicious and the presentation is always on point. The attention to detail brings it all together like a work of art. Will defo visit again and again to try more of the amazing menu.

I had a really nice brunch here. A lovely ferrero rocher milkshake with a hearty full English which tasted good. There was a queue to get in and I see why but was worth it in my opinion. Good vibe and atmosphere too!

Anytime I had previously walked passed Cafe East, there was always a queue. I wondered why. Today I joined the queue, which lasted 20 mins. Once inside, you notice every table is taken and everyone is placing orders. From every demographic of both race and age. Once the food arrives and you taste it. You immediately understand the queue and why every table is occupied. The presentation is like an artwork and the food is delicious. This is the place for brunch in east London.

Not ideal if your muslim. Serving pork and halal food from a same kitchen. Grilling & frying from the same area.

Cafe east is one of the best breakfast places in London. It is definitely worth visiting and I really do love the fact that they have options for people who don’t eat pork. Only thing I don’t like it the fact that we had to queue before getting in. Parking is non existent don’t know if it’s changed now but you will need to pay for parking. Trick is to sit in your car and have the person you’re with stay in the queue and once you get a table you exit and pay lol it works.

Great food, and great atmosphere for a Sunday breakfast with family!

A lot of fuss about this East London restaurant and its “instagrammable” dishes…Not completely justified. The room is small and tables cramped on each other, to squeeze as many seats as possible. Staff is welcoming, and service quite fast. The best thing is surely the food: big portions with very nice presentations, and attention to the dishes’ decoration. We ordered a wrap and a burger, both enjoyable and tasty, although not exceptional. Prices are not very cheap, but in line with other similar restaurants (it is difficult to pay less than 40£ for a meal for two). The fact that they accept cash only is a big minus these days, when people simply do not carry cash anymore.

Wonderful food, great service and friendly staff. I will be visiting again and will recommend to family and friends!

My partner and I were recommended this place after trying Fish n Chips at the Chipping Wharf. We literally went the next day and had no disappointments. Just from the line outside, you know that this place is definitely a fave for everyone. Before you even walk in, the excitement peaks because you know you’re about to get a meal that will not only look like an art piece, but will taste just as amazing. The ambiance is lively, lots of happy faces (obviously cos they were enjoying their meals), and super friendly service from the staff. We had fresh mint tea with the ‘French meets English’ and ‘Lost in London’. The pancakes and French toast weren’t too sweet and accompanied the bacon and sausages really well. They made some folded scrambled egg that I have never seen before. It tasted absolutely divine. The fruits were fresh too and everything just went so well together. The portions are generous but not to the point where you feel gluttonous. You leave feeling satisfied! I had a freshly squeezed juice to end off the meal and was pleasantly surprised by the size! Worth every single cent! Honestly, I couldn’t fault anything we tried. Literally 10/10

A little cafe on Roman Road offering food from breakfast a la carte to make your own; wraps, pancakes and burgers. We didn't have to wait but it does get busy, so make sure you go ready to wait for a seat. Service was friendly, and food came fast considering the size of the kitchen. It is more about generous portions and the details on the presentation than the food itself. Starting with the way the serve the water jugs to the little flowers and garnishes all over the plates. The 10oz Burger was tasty although it fell apart even before I grabbed it, so it was a little disappointing. Flavors were good and meat was well cooked. Curly fries are recommended. Like I said, not a huge menu, but it has almost all you need from a cafe, is well presented and the whole experience was very enjoyable. If you ever around east London and visit Roman Road Market, give this nice cafe a try.

Great brunch food, very tasty and innovative. Presentation was spot on, great variety of choice and good quality to money value. A must try in the area. It can be quite crowded on some days as it is a small place.

I love, love, love Cafe East! Sabiha is such a gem in this place. We immediately started talking and she genuinely cared about our experience in London. We loved her so much, we went back to the place again because the food was so delicious! Normally, I am a little suspicious when food is presented in a nice way on a plate because it looks better than it tastes but Cafe East Bow knows how to eat! I will miss it so much but I‘ll make sure to go there again when I visit London. If you‘re there, tell Sabiha I said Hi ❤️

I’ve eaten here three times (for brunch) and have been wowed every time. Nice atmosphere, friendly service and AMAZING food and coffee. If I lived in London I’d eat here all the time. Very highly recommended! PS. There was a massive queue outside in the rain when we left, so it’s not just me that thinks Cafe East is good.

Gosh the only issue is space,that's all!! Everything else is super amazing,I have no complaints whatsoever. These guys are def different (for good) travelled from Essex to dine at Cafe East...I already know what I'm having off their menu when next I visit. There are no parking as far as I know,yes to toilets,people with buggy,I'll advice to avoid bringing it if you can,just because of the space and comfort of your dining,except you can fold your buggy.

I was taken to this hidden little gem for a treat and must say despite the little queuing up it was well worth the wait . Staff were very friendly and quality of food was superb! I will be going back again

Went to breakfast with my family on Friday after seeing some great things about Cafe east online. I got the cinnamon/ Banana pancakes and my wife got the American breakfast. The food looked amazing. Honestly, aesthetically one of the best I've seen; it's very instagrammable. However, it didn't taste great unfortunately and I feel like there was toooo much going on. The atmosphere was pretty good, although the seating is a bit tight and cramped. The service was great. The waiter/ guy behind the till was friendly and conversive. The cafe is cash only so be sure to have cash on you. There is a very run down free cash point across the road but it looked like someone tried to open it up so I was worried when using it. Special mention to the The tap water... Again it was the most aesthetically pleasing tap water I've seen (see picture) lol. The price was quite hefty and I don't think it was worth the price due to the taste. The coffee was Terrible, to the point I thought it was instant coffee. But it was a dark roast (essentially burnt) coffee. Neither my wife or I can finish our coffee. We spent around £40 there for 2 breakfast meals and 2 coffees. Just not worth it especially since taste is the most important thing and the food was lacking in that department. I wouldn't recommend this place on this visit but I'm open to giving them another shot in the future if I'm in the area.

Awful customer service,very slow service , ordered full house breakfast, food was standard, not enough portion size for price paid , carrot juice was nice, left still feeling hungry & rather disappointed by experience especially as I waited for abt 40 min to be seated

The food was good but the customer service was bad. The waitresses were rude and awful. They were constantly giving looks and staring while eating. They even dropped something on me and acted like that wasn’t a big deal. When we asked what their best dish was, they looked annoyed and acted dismissive.

Good food, very busy, expect slower service at peak, worth the wait. Watch out, cash only.
