The Neapolitan Kitchen in Epsom and Ewell

Its not closed, its just changed its name to Ristorante Amalfi. We were invited by friends. It has a wide menu and food was OK. Soup starter was actually good but main course still very average and would not return.

So sad this has closed . Beautiful environment, outstanding Italian food and friendly service .So sad for Enzo and staff we wish them well for the future .Ewell Village will miss you.

Lovely local restaurant. Very reasonably priced menu. Great quality food cooked to order and presented beautifully. Everything fresh not frozen! The staff are charming and very friendly. We are always made to feel so very welcome. We are returning customers and have always found the food and service consistently outstanding. A very varied menu with choices to suit many customers. Lamb, chicken, fish, pasta. pizza, steak and even a proper Prawn Cocktail, Complimentary bread and oil.

Had a lovely evening last night. Had excellent service and food was good.Me and my daughters had two of tje vegan pizzas which were delicious. We had vegan choc fudge cake with chocolate sauce it was heavenly. Great night

Our first visit since lockdown. I had forgotten just how good this place is. Crisp linen tablecloths, professional service and food perfectly cooked.

We had lunch here yesterday with friends of ours, while the food was good the service was atrocious. Staff had a bad attitude and we were not made to feel welcome. Won’t ever be going back.

Have been coming here for some time now and it's our "go to" restaurant when we just want some excellent food. We go out a lot but sometimes it's just good to know you are going somewhere you know you are going to love. Have taken number of friends there too who have all loved it and gone back again. Prices are very fair for the quality and standard of the food you get which is authentic and great care is taken by the Owner and his staff to make you feel welcome. You won't be disappointed. Felt compelled to write this as was considering trying Il Cappriccio for a change BUT OMG read the tripadvisor comments on that one and you'll see why I would never go there. Neopolitan Kitchen has high ethical and moral standards - but it's the great food that will keep you coming back.....

Eight of us there for a retirement lunch today. Food excellent, service very good , staff attentive but not pushy, very good value too. We all had a really lovely time in a great venue

We had the lunch set menu. A good choice and a reasonable price for 3 courses. Their pizzas are cooked in an authentic wood oven. The food and service was excellent as always.

Fresh food, posh lay out, white ceramic chandeliers, clean white cotton table covers and very polite and professional Italian Waitresses. I recommend the set menus. £20 for a three course meal and ITS FRESH, FLAVOURSOME and authentic. Our little kids shared a pizza. Their ragu is outstanding.. If they offered a kids menu that would be a bonus.

We revisited this restaurant for the first time since lockdown restrictions were eased and found it to be just as good as previously.My husband had the fish and I had one of their amazing pizzas. We loved it. Looking forward to a return visit.Thanks.

Husbands birthday so ordered a takeaway meal from here. Very efficient on line ordering and delivered really quickly. Pizza was lovely and my smoked salmon pasta delicious and piping hot.

Food arrived piping hot in less than expected time. Our mains were so delicious. Salmon pasta and pizza. No photos as we ate piping hot as it arrived. Desserts superb too. A lovely covid night in treat.

... Plus they now deliver. My favourite take away as always fresh and tasty. Delivered by the restaurant staff as well so no allocating drivers and weird diversions on the way. Recommend!

Tried The Neapolitan Kitchen tonight for the first time after driving past for years and can't believe we missed it until now. Really can't recommend the food highly enough. The Pizza and carbonara con creme we had were both Super tasty and as authentic as I remember from visiting Italy. Just very very good.

Excellent pizza & wine. A very fast delivery. Excellent! We will definitely order again and hope to visit when covid lock down has finished.

Had a take away from this usually good eat in restaurant and was very disappointed, the squid was very chewy and the pizzas were average for the price!!!!!!!

Great local restaurant, large and airy, good food and good quality. Really enjoyed our visit. And we had a home delivery pizza which was really really good too.

Ate there this evening, food was excellent, service un hurried but fine. Social distancing was very good. Not cheap, wine quite expensive but nice. Fillet steak was fabulous. We will be returning here.

Fantastic lunch for 2 on Friday the food was excellent we had the mussels king prawns and Dover sole all delicious and perfectly cooked. Service and drinks also excellent we will be returning thank you x

I thought to myself a chilled night and some good Italian food, Uber Eats is a wonderful thing.I found a local Italian restaurant and thought garlic bread with cheese & caramelised onion to start and lasagna to finish. Yes you say Italian you say bread you think ciabatta crusty, some melted cheese, the taste of Parmesan with those lovely long cooked caramelised onions maybe finished with a little balsamic. Oh no what I recurved was pizza style soggy bread, yes some cheese and onion chutney speared over the top straight from a jar ‘see the pic’.Now lasagna, this has got to be the wettest, sloppiest, tasteless mush I have ever had. A Tesco Finest would put it badly to shame no flavour, sloppy, mushy and looking more like a chicken tikka masala.I know COVID-19 is hitting people hard, but this is outrageous. I could of got the same bread for £2.99 from a crap pizza chain and the lasagna from Marks and Sparks for £4.99. Almost 3 times that paid for the slop delivered.Sorry guys and girls, it really wasn’t good.

Tried this place a few times for delivery - so pleased to have a proper local pizza delivery! The pizza is very tasty, true Neapolitan style, thin, crispy, lots of toppings. The drop off in a miniature Italian pizza van is nice touch! Always quick and piping hot. Thanks again, we will def be a loyal customer for now on.

Such a pleasure to be back at the Neapolitan Kitchen for a fabulous lunch! The staff are particular about additional regimes without detracting from the ambience, which makes for a relaxing meal! Had a lovely calamari starter as well as delicious parma ham and juicy melon with a tasty pizza for main, thoroughly enjoyable in the garden!! Looking forward to the next visit!!

I am writing to complain about a food order we recieved from Neopolitan Kitchen (Order number 1273). The food we recieved was absolutely horrific. I ordered a whole dover sole. However, what I recieved was not even fish. over 50% of the 'fish' was some kind of crumbly, floury, plastic texture. I actually have suspicions that what I recieved wasnt even food, but somthing they used to bulk up the 'fish'. It was overly fried and floured on the outside to disguise what they had put into it. I am concered for the health and saftey for the food, as well as the heigiene. This goes well beyond a complaint of quality, but borders legality. Wehn I called the restaurant to discuss what I had received, I was met with hostility and aggression. I was accused of 'not understanding' what I had ordered. However, if you can see the photos, you will clearly see that it is very clear that what I have ordered is NOT fish. I am not only disappointed, I am horrified by what we have recieved. The rest of the food we ordered was cold, tastless and actually unedible. We have ordered from this restaurant before and it has always been lovely, so I am shocked by what we have been delivered. We want a full refund for the entire order. I am more than happy to take this further.

We were so pleased some weeks ago to see the areas best Italian restaurant was doing takeaway through the lockdown. It’s become our regular weekly treat. Their pizzas are the best and we’ve used both Uber Eats & Deliveroo and both have worked out very well.But still looking forward to them being able to reopen again soon though.All the best to the owners. They are a delight.

Wow! Absolutely amazing. Missing the ambiance of our favourite 5* local restaurant but the takeaway 3 course dinner was absolutely amazing. Ordered to celebrate my hubby's birthday. Have also booked for when they are hoping to reopen on the 4th July to celebrate my birthday. Can't wait. Thank you Enzo. Xx

We ordered two pizzas and a calamari to start. Calamari was okay, i've had better but the pizzas were very tasty and I would highly recommend. Good delivery service also.

Just got a take away because of whats going on with Covid 19. Myself and my partner had 2 starters 2 mains and 2 sides. Every meal was lovely and picked it all up within 15 mins of ordering. Cant wait to go when its all open again.

Yes, the prices have drifted upwards, but the food is as good as ever & the service exemplary. We had a family celebration meal there recently & noticed that the portions were generous without being off the plate. There is a lot of competition within the village, so all restaurants have to be jealous of their attention to detail in order to attract & retain customers.

We went for lunch and had some decent starters and main courses of veal and sea bass. The service was fine. All good although not stand out. Would go back for sure. It’s a good size restaurant in what I remember as the king bill pub of many years ago.

Booked as a large party with two tables. Extensive menu covering the range of Italian cuisine. Orders for drinks and food taken with out being hurried and food arriving promptly. Service very attentive. Good night out.

As a party of 14 people , we had a special birthday lunch for my brother at the Neopolitan Kitchen this Saturday. The food was absolutely superb and the staff very attentive. I have been to this restaurant many times, and always found it excellent. Many thanks to Enzo and his Staff.

We visited this restaurant again last night and I have to say it has become one of our favourite local venues. We were a party of six and were seated at a good size table with plenty of space. We all had different starters and main course and they were all served very hot and very well presented. They were also all very tasty. The service was very good particularly bearing in mind how busy the restaurant was, The atmosphere was very welcoming and we all agreed it was a very successful evening. We had various drinks and the total bill came to £200 including service. Very reasonable for a wonderful evening. Thank you we will be back.

Food and service really was excellent and worthy of note in the corner of the restaurant was a Pizza area with Pizza oven and chef kneading the dough and preparing ( I am told ) in the traditional manner with a spin in the air before toppings went on. These were obviously popular judging by the number that were cooked. Fascinating watching the mater at work. However this was a Saturday night and our party of 30 was on a raised area overlooking the restaurant where the place was full, but Enzo and his " family " team" cope well and we did not have to wait for food. There was relaxing calmness about the manner in which they went about service.

We met friends here a few days back. Booking ahead was easy and we were greeted by a pleasant, comfortable and warm restaurant. The food was very good, some had the sea bass was very well cooked in a decent tomato base sauce, the linguini pasta I had was a great choice, well cooked and seasoned and plenty of it. As a family of 5, we've been to this restaurant a number of times over the last year or so and have never left disappointed. The service is attentive and professional and the food consistently very good. On our last visit, we ordered a bottle of wine that was clearly corked. Many restaurants would make a bit of a fuss, but it was swapped for another which again was corked but then replaced again, this time with a different selection - no issue.

The food here is good tasty Italian food with a lovely atmosphere. I had an aubergine parmigiana which had a great depth of flavour followed by gnocchi which was tasty.

The food here is truly first class. Great atmosphere, and Enzo and the staff make you feel so welcome. Can’t wait to go back!

Visited this restaurant last night , the atmosphere was pleasant with most tables occupied , the service could not be faulted and the food was excellent . We will definitely be returning to this one .

Two out of four meals were ok, two were not....such a shame, it's a lovely comfortable place to come, there's parking, and the menu looks excellent. To be fair, our feedback was listened to, food was tasted and a refund was given. Still, not ideal. It was a quiet lunch service, so not sure why things were so wrong. The boss is charming and I'd really like to give it another try, so many happy people wrote good reviews which encouraged us to come. We used to be regulars of the restaurant next door which sadly changed hands...I so need a friendly local italian ....keeping an open mind

We went for a New Years Eve dinner dance celebration. The atmosphere was great, the service was good, and the food was good.

Visited last night for a family dinner.. and most certainly did not disappoint. A very good menu and we all agreed it was delicious food. Lovely restaurant, nice atmosphere, reasonably priced and fantastic service. You will be seeing us again soon

Our youngest son & his young lady have just graduated and started their new jobs, so they came back home to attend a murder mystery evening and we took them out to a late lunch the next day. The set menu gave a wide range of starters, mains & pudds so three of us went for that whilst a more careful eater opted for one course. The ham & melon was generous & mouth-wateringly good; the mussels were as big if not bigger inside than I recall at most restaurants with quality cooking and sauce to compliment them; my son & I gave them eight & nine for those. He went on to delight in the pizza diavola, whilst other pizzas are available & eaten. My wife had the veal which was tender whilst I went for the sea bass and shrimps, both with yummy spinach & diced roast potatoes. All this washed down with lemonade, coke, & a bottle of northern white. The pudds were typically interesting from this Kitchen & light enough not to spoil the effect of a balanced meal. Coffee is an alternative for those without the stamina for the third course. Service was excellent, mixing attentiveness with unobtrusiveness; all of us availed ourselves of the ice-cool lemon tap water as well as the initial welcoming bread & balsamic dip.The other good news was that the place was not as packed out as usual, so despite not booking in advance we were served & cleared promptly without enormous waits which can spoil a family celebration time @ some restaurants, and this led to good conversation flowing to enhance the experience. We love supporting local restaurants, so it is great to learn that the high standards here have not dropped.

We originally visited Ewell Village to eat at a restaurant we'd been to before. However, it was closed and so we decided to head back to the car park when we spied "The Neapolitan Kitchen" - a great find.

We went for dinner as a small family reunion, having already been for lunch about 4 years previously. For first timers you might think the place is fairly small from the outside but it stretches quite a way back – there is a smaller raised area accessible by 3 steps & this is where we made for. All went for a while until 3 guys came & sat adjacent to us – one of them did not talk to his mates, he bawled throughout the meal so I would suggest to the Manager that the tables be a bit more spaced out…

I was looking for a place to have a celebratory meal and happened upon this place whilst looking through Trip Advisor reviews. I then had lunch there with a friend in order to check the place out. I'm pleased to say the reviewers hadn't let me down. We all enjoyed a very nice evening, with good food, gentle (quiet!) background music and a great atmosphere. The waiting staff were friendly and helpful, without being intrusive, and Enzo, the manager/owner, was very accommodating. I would recommend this place.

The Neapolitan located in Ewell, is a unassuming restaurant . Bit when you visit your be very surprised you did. Larger than you think and with a back garden if you only fancy drink . The restaurant had a wide variety of options and all cooked to present to a high standard and tested excellent, service was good and the waters ready to help .

We visited lunchtime as a Lunch Group and were delighted by both the atmosphere and the food quality. Little touches like the starched linen napery and subdued music added to our enjoyment. Service was relaxed with plenty of time between courses to converse. Staff were a delight - so courteous! Altogether a positive eating experience which we hope to repeat in the future. Thoroughly recommended!

I visited the Neapolitan Kitchen with my husband at lunchtime yesterday. We met with Enzo the restaurant owner and he was very welcoming and the staff were attentive. The food was so good, particularly the extremely tender fillet steak in green peppercorn sauce. The calzone dough was really soft and with plenty of filling. You can tell that the ingredients being used are high quality and all presented beautifully. I would recommend.

Always a delight to come to this restaurant the food is very good as are the staff .lovely atmosphere great place for large parties and they also have a garden which is great when we go with the grandchildren we will be back soon.

We went there (party of 7) to celebrate my son’s 25th Birthday. On such occasions we tend to take a Birthday cake with us & everywhere we have been to before has been happy to serve it. Sadly this was not the case at this restaurant, with the manager citing “health & safety” reasons. This left us very disappointed & a bit angry considering we have never encountered such a poor attitude before. Will therefore not be visiting again.

I dropped in while doing the London Loop and needed somewhere for lunch and the Neopolitan was the first place I passed. Nice change from the usual pub. Not into Italian but the food (prawn cocktail, chicken, ice cream from the set menu) was delicious and well presented. Staff friendly. Recommended. Note that the toilets are upstairs, not sure if they have disabled access ones.

Have been here many times often introducing several of our friends. The food is always very good quality and the staff are all excellent kind, courteous and discrete. All have enjoyed the atmosphere and overall quality. Please do give it a try.

Staff were warm and friendly, shame about the food. Obviously went on an off night. Luke warm starter looked like it had been thrown on the plate in disarray. On commenting, advised that that was the neopolitan way! in fairness a replacement was offerec, but declined - they heated up what had been previously presented. Food was mediocre, pleasant but not noteworthy, restaurant was quite full with locals so must be doing something right.

Found this resturant this week in ewell village epsom surrey. Great food, excelent staff, resonable price. Highly recommended. Will visit again

My second visit a couple of weeks ago .Had the set lunch but a different choice this time .all five of us had different things and not one was a disappointment .The portions are ample .Everything is cooked to perfection and beautifully presented .We were well attended but never rushed .I found the whole experience really relaxing and I can't wait to go back .I am really looking forward to summer time when I plan to sit in the lovely garden .Would highly recommend .

We had a Christmas Day dinner for 4 adults and 2 children and really enjoyed ourselves. The starters, mains and deserts were all very good, even the children cleared their plates. The waiters were very attentive and made us most welcome. We will be back.

Been here 3 times before. Ordered pizza, which I have had there before. It arrived burnt! When I mentioned this to the server I was told ‘the oven is 450 degrees and that’s what it is like’ strange that they have never looked like this before! And it was Luke walm! I was offered a replacement with the words ‘we will cook it less’. Great!!!! I have eaten in numerous restaurants and cannot believe any chef of his worth would allow food to leave the kitchen like that.

Visited in Summer of 2017 with my Wife mid-week. We decided to order from their "lower" fixed price menu & I ordered a starter of prawns in a chilli sauce. This came with six rather small prawns in a well flavoured chilli sauce; only problem being that three mouthfuls & it was gone. I could easily have eaten this at double the size & it would have been more adequate as a starter. I had ordered the Beef Lasagne, which came in a smallish clay pot & again, that was it. No accompanying vegetables. No frills, nothing. This rather small offering was gone very quickly too. Now, I am not a piggy, but I do like to see good value for money & this wasn't it, for me I'm afraid. Our bill with three drinks came to over £50.00 which I considered was far too expensive for the small amounts of food served. The place was almost empty also, which I supposed being mid-week is usual, but also spoke volumes in other ways. They're clearly not getting footfall through those doors. Must offer better value & more for the money Neapolitan Kitchen. I won't be back anytime soon otherwise. Other local Italian restaurants, (Topogigio's for example), offer a fixed price menu at £14.95 a head that knocks absolute spots off NK, & you never leave there hungry. Sorry, but thumbs down on NK

Came to Ewell to visit a restaurant we have visited before, it was not open! How lucky were we. Walked past Neapolitan Kitchen so thought we would give it a go. So glad we did. Loved it! Service and food was excellent we will definitely return and will recommend to friends.

After the recommendation of friends my wife and I visited this restaurant for the first time this week. What a lovely surprise! The atmosphere, food and staff were all first class. We will definitely be going back and as my wife runs a local lunch club this venue will be added to our circuit - guaranteed!

Love this restaurant. Took our friends who were visiting us as we are always raving about this restaurant. They loved it as much as we do. Food is exquisite and reasonably priced too. Just love the Tiramisu!!

What can I say we had a delicious lunch for 15 of our family in this lovely restaurant, the venue is perfect for large parties and they have a lovely garden so the children can let off steam between courses.....our food was excellent enjoyed by everyone and even did a special meal for one member of our party who was allergic to garlic !!!!!one downside was not quite attentive at pouring out the wine when our glasses needed refilling we did it ourselves it wasn't busy that day so a little dissapointed in that service ......but the rest was brilliant highly recommended to all our friends and we will be back .....thank you again....

Simply avoid this place. Would not recommend at all. Food seems funny, can't tell if it's truly fresh produce.

It's always a worry when you go somewhere on a Friday night and it's fairly empty. The food was good and service OK.

I have been coming to the Neapolitan Kitchen in Ewell regularly. With my son and his young family. We return to this restaurant for a reason. And that is because on every occasion we have been very happy with our family lunches at this eatery.

I went today for lunch and have to say was really disappointed. We had the set menu and I had prawns to start. They tasted bitter to me and I couldnt eat them so I mentioned it to the waitress. Her response was "they are fresh in " no apology or explanation and just walked away. My main course was chicken with saute potatoes the potatoes were soggy. It was very embarrasing as I was with a friend and didnt want to make too much fuss but did try and was not happy with her customer service skills, will definately not be returning

Every visit to this restaurant in Ewell Village has been very good. Very friendly, delicious food and good value.

We took over the whole restaurant for a 50th birthday, where we had superb 3 course dinner for 90 plus guests , each dish was delicious and served perfectly, with our guests all commenting on how good the food was.

We had a 60th Birthday celebration on a Sunday lunchtime a couple of weeks ago for 35 people which was excellent and all what we wanted. The food was Delicious and service great ,Enzo and his team looked after all our guests superbly. I would recommend this restaurant to everybody as a regular i can confirm the food great on every visit.

Really nice service but the food wasn’t great mussels not great and the steak was not very good for fillet a bit tainted covered with sauce not a patch on the grumpy mole for the same money I won’t be rushing back anytime soon

I have visited this restaurant on several occasions. The food is first class (especially the Calamari), beautifully presented and served quickly and professionally. Most of all, the prices are extremely reasonable and the 10% service charge is automatically added to the bill. (saves all the arguing about how much of a gratuity to leave!) There is a small car park to the rear which will accommodate approx. 12 cars (if full, the public car park is only 5 min walk away) - Thoroughly recommended.....

Excellent meal ,we pre ordered as it was the holiday season 11 in our party and all our meals were to order not one mistake perfectly cooked it's a great place for couples or a big party ....we will be back .....

Excellent Christmas Day Lunch!! Lovely attentive Staff , Very good quality food . Did not feel rushed even though it was busy with large groups of all ages it was all so calm and friendly. Nice glass of Prosecco of Arrival and very reasonably priced with a large menu, more than most I looked at for Christmas day. We all had a lovely time and will going back again soon . I visited The Neapolitan kitchen with my partner. We thought to try an Italian kitchen in Ewell. I ordered a pasta which it was no taste on it, my partner ordered a pizza which we didn't like the pizza baze because was not cooked inside. The staff was there but nobody in our table to check. Definitely not coming back.

When I first went to this place many years ago it was terrific. Brilliant food and service. I'm afraid to say since then it has gone down hill. However, as I generally like the place and the owner Enzo, I have given it chance after chance in the hope it is back to its old best. Alas every time I have been disappointed. My latest, and I'm afraid to say, last visit was last night (7-Oct). The service has got worse again and the food has now deteriorated to average. Many years ago the food was excellent, it deteriorated to very good, then good and now it's just average. The service was terrible. Some tips for anyone running a restaurant (including Enzo). Sit people down give them a menu and ask them if they would like a drink while looking at the menu. After that have staff on hand looking for people who need serving and also pre-empt their requirements, for instance if they have finished their drink or bread etc. ask them if they would like another one. In this place last night it was hard to see a server let alone order anything. They just do not have a clue how to serve. The blond lady who has been working there years is the only decent server in there.Some advice for Enzo the owner, and I dearly want this place to get back to its best. Get back in the kitchen and get the food back to its excellent best of yesteryear. Employ a decent Maître D' and get them to employ some good servers. It may cost you a bit more money but it will pay for itself in the long run. I'm afraid I won't be going back until I hear reports that the place has improved.

Visited on Saturday for a family birthday and had a delicious meal. To start, I had the mozzarella dish with aubergines, prosciutto and rocket and it was so tasty! Very simple but highly enjoyable. Lasagne for main which was okay - a touch too oily for my liking but perfectly edible. Dessert was tiramisu which was an absolute treat! A very generous service and extremely delicious! My fiance had the diavolo pizza which looked delicious - I will definitely go for a pizza if we visit again. Service was very attentive even though the restaurant was completely full by the time we left. Will definitely visit again.

visited on saturday night with friends service was fine but the food was notmy starter baked aubergine may have been baked at sometime but had not been in the microwave long enough and was lukewarmmy main a mushroom risotto was again tepid and was more of a puree than a risotto but it did have 4 small pieces of mushoom to give it a little texture. my wifes meal was poor as well cold roast greasy potatos with oily salmoni would normaly have returned both my courses but as we where there with friends did not make a fuss

Visited the restaurant Saturday evening with good friends and found the restaurant very expensive for what you got. The atmosphere was good and the staff are friendly.The starters are ok and the deserts are ok but the main meals are very disappointing.We ordered the fillet steak medallions in peppered sauce with saute potatoes, mushrooms and spinach. We got three very thin slices of steak and a side dish with two scoops of mashed potato and green beans which were rock hard and hadn't been cooked looked like school diners.I ordered an expresso coffee after the meal and the coffee just about covered the bottom of the expresso cup.If we were on our own and not in Company I would have sent the meal backWill not be rushing back.

This used to be my local in the 1970s. Back then the only meal you might get was a knuckle sandwich. Now a pleasant and friendly Italian restaurant. Relaxed ambience and decent food. Today we had lobster. Recommended.
