Ask Italian in Epsom and Ewell

This place is fine. My only feeling was it felt a little like a production line type restaurant. Its not so cosy as most places and that matters to set the scene. But this was fine with me as it was an a last minute stop and needed to be quick which it was. The food was good and service, quick and friendly. I would have give it 5 stars if the mushroom risotto had more taste. I have had very good ones and this was middle of the spectrum in ratings.

Cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. Do not mistake this as being a regular high street chain restaurant. It punches far above its weight. Great decor, very well laid out, very helpful friendly staff, excellent tasty well cooked food and very reasonably priced. Oh, spotlessly clean toilets!

It's always a pleasure visiting Ask Italian Epsom. Aneta was really very welcoming, pleasant and at our request all the time. Food was exquisite. No complaint at all during my visit.

Last Friday, my partner and I decided to treat ourselves after a very long week, only to be disappointed by the service. We walked in and waited for about 10 minutes, in which about 4 staff members walked past us; no acknowledgement whatsoever. I understand it was lively, but not even a simple acknowledgement or "I will seat you shortly". When someone finally came, it was the most blunt, forced greeting and we were taken to a dirty table full of crumbs (they were stuck to my palm). When we asked another waitress to move tables, it was okay, but as we were sitting down at our new table, the original waitress who sat us was staring at us with the most aggressive expression, as if I had done something wrong for not wanting to sit at a dirty table. The food was great, the pizza was amazing and my lasagna mouthwatering, however the entire experience was completely ruined, not only by the first impression given by the staff in just completely ignoring us, but also the dirty table, the judgemental death stare, and our new waitress almost rushing us to order eventhough we had only had the menu for a few minutes. Like I said, the food was great, but the service just put us off wanting to return, I hope the staff do better; completely disappointing considering I have had countless wonderful experiences at other AskItalian locations

Absolutely lovely meal. Our waiter Kamil was so accommodating and kind, so happy to help with any questions and made our experience so much more enjoyable. Really went the extra mile to make our dinner great. Definitely recommend!

Great food very tasty, warm and efficient. Karolina our waitress was excellent and very friendly.

Pizzas were almost strange tasting. No flavour to the base. The female waitress (brunette with a short pony tail) had zero people skills. Rude, spoke with attitude and not welcoming. She is in the wrong job. Luckily a kind man with a cool mastouche took our orders and saved this from a 1 star review. I won't be going back.

Aneta was extremely nice and helpful-she washed out our glasses by hand herself to make sure on the third attempt of delivering 2 clean glasses-they were clean! I think ASK need to change the design of the glasses which collect grime in the vertical grooves or be more vigilant and know the dishwasher will not remove everything! Apart from that food was good - service great!

Had not been to an Ask for years and was looking for somewhere after the cinema. The food was amazing really fresh, tasty and staff were friendly. So much better pizza than pizza express where we have gone for years. Definitely going to be Ask from now on.

Meatballs are awful, and everything is far to overpriced

It took an hour and 20 minutes to arrive. When I first ordered it stated a wait of half hour but it kept being pushed back which was very frustrating. The lid was off one of the dishes when it arrived so was obviously not put on properly. And the food was dry with very little sauce on both dishes. There was very little meat too. It was basically dry pasta. The calamari was chewy and rubbery. Very unimpressed with Ask Italian

We had a deal on Ask and have not been for a long while. The service was outstanding and the food so tasty. Welcomed with a little Italian lemonade and the cocktails were incredible.

We had a lovely meal on the 1st January, the service was outstanding and the food was just sublime, we have been coming here for years and we have always have had a good time! Such friendly waiters and beautiful food! The atmosphere was just incredible, really suited the time of year with the lighting and festive decorations! A must visit if ever in Epsom town!

Clearly understaffed with tables and deliveries waiting to get their stuff. Waited 40 minutes to then be told that my wife's plate wasnt available today. People who arrived after us were served and the table next to us finished their food (arrived together). We decided to leave without our food which is even worse as we had our 2 young kids all grumpy...not recommended at all,.

Mermet (apologies for the spelling here). The manager at the Epsom branch exceeded all expectations. My daughter had a nut allergy so he served us directly. He was welcoming and kind. He even took my daughter to choose chocolate ice cream that she thoroughly enjoyed. Furthermore, and more importantly. The manager here has great kindness for humanity. I believe all year round you should have some kindness but more so during the festive period. Outside the Epsom branch on the opposite side of the road was a gentleman no older than 24 years old… he was selling the big issue. For an hour I watched this boy/man being ignored by people walking past in a very affluent area of Surrey because and unfortunately people seem not to care these days. So I asked to pay for a pizza for him, something warm for somebody standing out in the cold for the day just asking to be noticed, for help. He’s just trying to make some money at the end of the day. When saying this the manager of the Epsom branch, he took it upon himself to buy this gentleman a pizza out of the kindness of his heart so I didn’t fork the bill. Any High Street franchise restaurant that acts in kindness this way will always has my thumb of approval. Ni matter what the food is like. Although good for for what it says on the ‘tin’. This is a message to all of the restaurants out there - take example from the manger here at Ask, Epsom. I know that profit for businesses are very important but so our acts of kindness. I will be returning here regularly. Act of kindness will always bring customers walking through your doors more and to your big business greedy eyes will fortunately bring you more profit. Be kind to one another! Look after those in need. Over advertisement, and big pretty slogans on the wall in your restaurant. You don’t know who’s looking and walking through your door. Thank you to Ask in Epsom!!!!

Great selection of starters including the Calamari which is excellent. The Calabria with love pizza is delicious. Great team ambience who worked very hard to make the experience enjoyable and safe. Secret garden out the back is lovely.

The staff are amazing here and the food is great too. We visited last night and even though they had a few christmas parties the service and food quality was still very good. We will be back
