Awful experience, shoved in the backroom with zero atmosphere no drinks menu, food menu covered in stanins, room stank of damp. Over £120 for a meal of 4 with drinks. Limited menu food tasted like microwave processed rubbish, charged extra for everything, including gravy on an already dry steak pie. Gastro prices at less that wetherspoons standard.

The Navigation Inn sub contracts it parking space to the infamous Parkingeye, and when entering into the bar area to purchase food and drink no one tells you that there is a parking charge if you dont enter your car registration. If there is any signage it must be very obscure so as not to easliy draw attention, I suspect this must be deliberate. We still got a parking fine even after showing our receipts for the food and drink we purchased, thus this appear to be a typical money making scam. Apart from this take my advice and avoid this pub, food was very poor, drinks were over priced and the beer garden smells like a sewage farm. Childens area and pub in general is very run down and clearly not maintained. Childrens area in particular is all rotten and not safe for children to play.

We have been dropping in to this pub for a good few years. Its a lovely little spot for families. We had been on a long journey so was hungry and decided to have lunch there. The menu is varied so plenty of choice. I am not sure if the cook was having trouble with the fryer as our chips were a little soggy and greasy. We had 2 soft drinks and 2 burgers which came to just under £40. Maybe a bit steep for a local pub lunch? It’s also a shame that the landlord has been forced to put in a carpark camera, i assume people wanting to do the canal walk are taking paying customer spaces.

The navigation inn Broad Cut Rd, Calder Grove, Wakefield WF4 3DS West Yorkshire Had two relaxed nights here sat & sun, a warm welcome from a great couple. Sunday roast for myself and chilli for 't- other half ' .... washed down with well kept guinness. A nice stroll down the canal on Sunday-with a steady flow of visitors to the pub for food and drinks in the large beer garden overlooking the canal boats. Peaceful nights sleep on both nights.... Would recommend 100% and will be visiting again next month. A narrow bridge leading over was no issue for us @ 7.5m long with more than enough wiggle room. Thanks Sam & Sharon 🥂

The food was delicious, nut roast and roast beef! Veg, roasties and mash were all cooked and presented really well. Awful , the lady behind the bar didn’t seem to know what she was doing, She basically told us not to order food because she was under pressure. We didn't eat this time but definately coming back from the presentation of the food it looks delicious.
