Nice restaurant with a large garden. We went there for steak on Tuesday. There was an offer for two people at £34 or £42 including wine. Very friendly staff and a great atmosphere. We can only recommend it. We will definitely come back again.

We popped in on our way back from Bristol airport.We were 4 adults + 2 grandchildren.Good variety of well kept beers & lagers & very nice food.We enjoyed our meal(try the Stokes mayonnaise with your salad unbelievable).Staff were very friendly & helpful. Great traditional pub & very much worth a visit.

Loved our stay here, friendly staff, cosy, clean and comfortable room! breakfast cut off was a bit early for us as Glastonbury Festival goers but may be fine for others!

I stayed there on two occasions for a work function and really enjoyed the premises. The owners made us feel welcome and were flexible about our food timings. The rooms are super cosy and comfortable, with the cottage offering amazing appliances for a short stay. I would recommend!

Had a lovely meal at the weekend at the Natterjack, staff were very friendly & helpful & the food was delicious. One of our party was disabled & there was a ramp for easy access into the bar/restaurant, the staff were very helpful in clearing a chair so she could get her walker around the table . Stayed here several times and each stay has been fantastic. The rooms are clean, warm and comfortable with nice bathrooms. For the price it cant be beaten. Staff are lovely and accommodating. If you do plan to stay be sure to book dinner in advance, it is always busy and for good reason as the food is delicious.

Great place to stop for some excellent pub grub. Try it out.

My family stayed for 1 night as they came to visit me. Had an evening meal and breakfast. Was absolutely superb as usual. Staff couldn't do enough for you. The rooms were very comfy and warm. 5 stars all round

Atmosphere was great however the food and service require a rethink. Soggy Batter on the fish, hard and dry Pastry on pie, microwave mash and the hummus on the starter was tragic, no flavour and very watery so I'm guessing homemade. The service was a little strange as we tried to order drinks to the table but that seemed to have a negative reaction. As we were a large party getting drinks from the bar was a little unsociable but we went with it Overall the food was fairly disappointing considering the price, which was expensive for what you got. Service was OK but the atmosphere and gorgeous surroundings made it a good night

We stayed at the Natterjack for two nights for s funeral in the area. The location is a but it if the way but not a massive distance from the town of wincanton and Shepton Mallet. The room was lovely and clean with a comfortable bed and well appointed ensuite. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pub was great with a good selection of real ales and IPAs. The food was also top notch. All round a great place to stay.

From the moment I called until the moment we left I just felt this is an establishment that wants our custom. Service impeccable, food brilliant, cost very competitive. The pub was full and we were lucky to get a table. Our second visit and most certainly not the last. Special call out for the landlord who was super friendly.

We stayed on a business trip as we were exhibiting at The Great British Land Rover Show at The Bath and West Show Ground. Fantastic venue if you are going to the show ground as only a very short drive away. Accommodation was beautiful and the food and drink was delicious. A special thank you to the staff who were all very friendly, helpful and accommodating.

Been three times for food which was excellent every time. Staff and Landlord all very welcoming and good hosts.

Staff were brilliant, helpful and friendly. Room a little small but cosy and clean. Food very good for both snack on arrival and breakfast next morning. Disappointments were internet with very slow connection and TV with awful reception.

We stayed over for one night while our dog was at stem cell vet nearby our room was quiet so our dog could recover in peace staff all very friendly and helpful thank you

We booked a table for dinner on a Saturday evening for 6 of us, the staff were more than helpful when I asked for a table away from the bar area if possible, due to a few members of our party being hard of hearing. Unfortunately, due to illness, we had to cancel for our original date, and when ringing to cancel, the lady we spoke to on the phone was more than understanding and said she hoped to see us again soon. I felt a bit of a nuisance firstly for asking for a specific table and then having to cancel, but at no point did they ever make me feel like I was asking for too much. On top of a beautifully decorated pub that provides fantastic hot food, the staff were brilliant both on the phone when making the booking, and again on the night. Thank you so much for a great evening.

Stayed for a night prior to a visit to Paul Nicholls stables. Fantastic service and food rooms were lovely and a comfy bed. Road was a bit noisy but the breakfast cooked to order made up for it. Would recommend.

On a busy main road in Evercreech we only popped in for a drink and it was getting close to closing on Sunday afternoon. Really nice and clean pub with letting rooms and the food that others were eating looked lovely. We would certainly go back and next time have food as well.

We stopped for a meal here before going to Wincanton races. The food was lovely. The best Fish and Chips I have had in a pub restaurant 😋 everyone else's food was lovely too.

Stopped here on the way to Wells for a bite to eat, the greeting from the very start was warm and welcoming, we had our dog with us and managed to nab the last table available. The food was great, fish and chips and ham, eggs and chips, great portions and nice friendly service, very reasonable prices as well , will definitely return if we're down this way in the future.

Excellent service. We had lunch with friends there recently. We've always been pleased with the food and atmosphere there but, unfortunately on the most recent occasion we were disappointed with the food.

You can rely on a very good meal every time. We re never disappointed.

Initial Warm welcome and looking forward to lunch at such a busy pub. We were seated and sadly we weren’t made aware of a specials board that was giving other diners options, but one of our group noticed it by fortune. The food was delivered but just one of the meals had a problem with the Partridge being inedible from the off. It was taken away and then asked if they wanted anything else. No apology. It was at this point that I’m assuming we became a ‘problem’ table or passing trade that we were ignored as to whether all other meals were ok, offer of dessert menu, drinks needed or the bill. I’m sure that this establishment is busy enough not to care less about four new faces but we are relatively local and looking for food pubs to bring future visits from our friends. We will obviously be giving the Natterjack a swerve as we were left completely disappointed with woeful service.

Had a wonderful two night stay in a brilliant location for the trip to Wincanton racecourse and a trip round Paul Nicholls yard. Rooms were cosy and clean and the food and staff were superb. Look forward to coming back. Plus I had 4 winners !! Steve, Cath , Tom and Josie.

Absolutely superb dinner and service

After an event at the Showground, we popped in for lunch, 10 mins after last orders. Chef was still happy to accommodate a table of 7, which many kitchens wouldn't nowadays. The food was really tasty, who knew beetroot and coconut could make a good soup! The team were super friendly, would highly recommend.

We have just enjoyed a fabulous lunch here. It's always been a favourite place to eat, and this time was no exception. Excellent menu choice, and our food was cooked and served to perfection. I had the goats cheese salad followed by Affogato, and Chris had steak followed by chocolate brownies. We received a very warm welcome with our table all ready, and the service throughout was impeccable. Thank you for a lovely lunchtime experience.

First visit to this beautiful pub. The staff were lovely and the menu had some really nice options, not just your usual pub fare. 3 of us stopped for lunch - and dessert - and all courses were well presented and delicious! We are looking forward to future visits.

Spare of the moment lunch out with hubby, have not visited this pub in 20 years used to be our favourite place to go, but moved away. Lovely warm welcome from the staff, shown to a table straightaway even though they were busy and some table reserved. This is a free house pub so a varied choice of drinks. Good selection of pub classics and meals with slight twist on regular pub food, also had several choice on the special broad. Both course served in a timely manor with polite staff. I had the leek and chorizo flan as a starter and its was fantastic with the best shortcrust pastry I have tasted in a long time We both had a starter and a main plus drinks and was great value for money we shall visit again and would recommend a visit if you enjoy freshly cook food

6 of us visited (3 couples) for a meal. The atmosphere was nice, the staff were very helpful and friendly. There was a good choice of dishes on the menu, we all had starters, mains and desserts. The food was tasty, well presented and was good pub food. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The pub was very busy and would recommend booking. Very enjoyable experience.

We had our family Christmas meet here this year, with 14 of us. Everyone was very impressed. The food came out all together, and piping hot. Everything was very tasty. Bar & serving staff were very friendly and efficient. I live fairly local, and have never heard a bad word about this place. Highly recommend.

We have visited the Natterjack several times over the last few years. Each time we have eaten, we have never been dissatisfied. The food is always wonderful, the staff always friendly and welcoming and best of all, not overpriced.

Had a weekday lunch with family and a freind. Easy to find with ample parking. The staff were freindly and welcoming and the pub has a nice atmosphere. Lunch was served quickly and was good. Would definitely recommend as a place to meet and eat

I was here with two friends for a Sunday lunch. I don't often say this about a restaurant, but this place was perfect in every respecy. My roast pork dinner was uperrb. A generous plateful with a selection of beautifully cooked vegetables. A nice piece of crackling and a lovely yorkshire pudding. The meat was just right. For desert I had a strawberry, merangue and ice cream sundae which was also delicious. My friends also told me that they had enjoyed their meals very much - one had lamb and the other had beef. The service was excellent also and the country pub atmosphere just as it should be. If ever I'm in the area again I'll try to go back there and I have no hesitation in recommending it to you.

Starter x2 :- prawn cocktail was an absolute joke and not worth £7.00 , extremely measly portions! Almost 3 minutes after we’d finished the starters the mains were in front of us ….SERIOUSLY ! again small portion and nothing special. Almost 2 minutes after mains had been eaten the pudding question was asked , go away please please please . Overall , nothing special in our opinion. Not sure about the need to force the food down customs at lightening quick pace , most definitely not a pleasurable experience, I’ve waited longer at McDonald’s drive through !

We have been visiting Somerset for past ten years and we have visited the Natterjack every time. With the food menu and specials board there is always a huge choice to pick from. The service and food is excellent and I hugely recommend the Natterjack. Adrian the owner recognises every year and always has a great chat with us and the rest of the staff are lovely. Never had a bad meal or service

Absolutely Perfect! My partner is a chef and he said he has never seen steak cooked so perfectly - it was exactly as we requested and even better! 100/10 for the food! Staff were very friendly, service was quick and it was a very calm environment! Would highly recommend and return here ourselves!

My wife, adult son and I came here for an evening meal before attending a large Christian event at the local showground. We chose the Natterjack based on reviews and were not disappointed. (My only downer was that, as the driver, I could not partake of their range of still ciders, but that is not a failing of the establishment.) The pub is situated on the A371 and has quite a small car park, but I found a space, so that was not an issue for us. We ate a little later in the evening, so maybe the main rush was over. I drove past a few times, and it did look very full at times (lunch, for example). Looking at the menu, they seem proud of the providence of their ingredients, which is usually a good sign. My son and I both had rump streaks cooked pretty much as ordered, and the sides complemented well and were also of a high standard. My wife ordered the venison burger with a blue cheese topping, which she polished off, indicating her enjoyment. (I don't eat blue cheese, so I didn't get a taste, so I have to take her word for it.) It is a great place to eat, and afterwards, you can buy local milk from a vending machine in the car park (to which you can add syrup to make a milkshake.)

Visited Natterjack Inn recently, completely by chance just as we were driving to our next AirBnB stop. Pub was very welcoming to us and our puppy, staff was friendly, food was delicious, very tasty, freshly made. I would definitely recommend it. A little gem in somerset.

On the way home from a weekend away we stopped here for some lunch , really friendly staff , lovely menu I had roast beef and pork with loads of fresh veggies, my husband had the ham egg and chips . Both had a prawn cocktail to start . Food was all homemade and delicious. Would recommend

Warm welcome, great food and reasonable prices. Had a lovely trout fillet, new potatoes and spring greens. Beautifully seasoned and well presented food. Waitress was delightful and owners were welcoming and funny! Loved it! A great evening and will definitely be going to the Natterjack again in the near future

I hate to do this as I’m not one to complain ! I came down with my husband and children to meet up with some friends seeming as we’ve not seen each other in a very long time . We sat in the garden which was lovely I’ll give it that .However the staff were really not happy and the service we received was poor and in all honesty not acceptable . Food was nice portions could have been bigger . Shame to say we won’t be coming back

Not a review of the food, going by the majority of reviews this seems to be of a reasonable quality. The service on the other hand leaves a bitter taste in the mouth. Having booked a table for 6, a considerable journey only to arrive and be offered a table for 2 The waitress/bar staff offered no alternative but go else where and frankly couldn't have cared less. "I'll take it up with the owner" was the best she could do. Not only that. said owner who'd made the error couldn't even be bothered to follow up on his mistake. If poor service is your thing, crack on and visit. For us and anyone who'll listen we'll be avoiding like the plague. Poor
