Great pub, dog friendly, restaurant quality food, lovely atmosphere and staff

went on a busy saturday night got served by megan, amazing service and communication from her.overall a lovely place to go.

I went last night with a few of my mates for a quick drink and ended up staying for way longer we had such a good time. We had a bartender called teddy who was very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend

Good dinner tonight at The Nag’s Head - with great service from Ted Gannon ☺️ tasty good quality food and relaxing atmosphere, what’s not to like!

Would highly recommend, food came quickly, Megan came to take our order, she was so polite and very understanding of my 3 year old son who was very indecisive and was asking for things that was not on the menu, she engaged with him explaining each thing on the menu to him. This is the perfect place to take you kids

Ted the barman was a gentle giant who mixed a fabulous whisky sour. Thanks Ted 😀

Had a very lovely Sunday afternoon here for my mums birthday. When we arrived we were welcomd promptly by our lovely waitress Evie. After smelly the food and seeing some pass, we had to order quick. I got the pork belly, which was delicious. And after that and the brownie, I was delighted. Thanks Evie, for the warm welcoming professional service. Will definitely be going back!!

Our recent visit, late on a Saturday afternoon, was just perfect. The food was great and service prompt. Our experience was best exemplified by Teddy who served a pint of milk from the bar with courtesy and politeness. Great burger - great barman.

Fab food and excellent service from Evie. Regularly checking drinks, replenishing ice/water without request. A lovely evening made even better by brilliant service.

Went for a lovely relaxed meal with the wife and kids and must say the atmosphere was amazing, only enhanced by our waiter Teddy who couldn’t have been more helpful, will be requesting him on our return!

Visited for an early lunch with friends and wasn’t disappointed with the excellent choice in the menu, which has been updated since our last visit, was served by Teddy who was everything that you could want in a server. We will be back !

Brilliant service, consistent quality and an all round excellent service. Particular highlight is the bartender, I think his name is Freddie who consistently advises me on the best wine pairings and never fails to give good advice.

Great food, great drinks, the bartender who i think was called eddie, he was really tall with a nice beard and had amazing customer service. He made my cocktail so good. He made me feel so welcome and just amazing. I would definitely go to ththe nags head again. 10/10

I've been visiting the Nag's Head for several years and have always had a great experience. My last visit was no exception - our late arrival was graciously accommodated, the food was excellent and we received superb service from our very friendly and professional server. I cannot think of any improvements!

We were looked after by Paulina and she was so attentive. I had the Lamb Rump and it was cooked exactly how I liked it, my mum had the seabass and said it was delicious. We’ll be back for sure!

Quite expensive, quality was ok. Service was pretty slow. I get the feeling that the staff didn't want to serve our group dessert as it took an age to get the menus and they didn't come back to take our order. So we paid and left.

Slow service especially as we had pre ordered, hot food was luke warm but wouldn't stop us from visiting again as a couple.

Wonderful environment, food was gorgeous and service was fast and friendly.

Had a really nice lunch here in the sunshine, the gammon was lovely. The outside deck area is a magic spot to catch the September sun. We were very well looked after by the staff especially Keira who went the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect and it really made our day, thankyou.

What a lovely country pub with a great atmosphere. Friendly serving staff but service very slow and some staff seemed inexperienced and unsure how to serve properly (but still very friendly). The food was really tasty but aspects could be improved eg one of our hot starters was cold. I gave food a 4 star but it could easily be a 5! Will definitely return.

Excellent food, Sunday roast beef was cooked to perfection. Fish and chips was so fresh and tasty. Pub was quite quiet, hence the lower score and we sat outside for quite a while. Bar staff were friendly and helpful. Would def go back if we were in the area again.

I met a friend here for lunch on the first Monday in September 2024. There was hardly anybody here so it was good to hear that they'd been very busy the day before as I have to say our two pasta dishes were superb. We both had linguine with seafood and chorizo and scallops and it was delicious. The two girls serving that we encountered were both very friendly and efficient. I will say something that has been nagging me for a while, every time I drive by in fact, and that is you need to improve the front appearance of the pub. It's very enclosed and not very obvious and this is further enhanced by the very very dim pub sign. It just needs redoing. Not rocket science! Otherwise a great experience

The Nags Head in Woking is an absolute gem! My family and I recently visited, and from the moment we stepped in, we were treated to exceptional hospitality. The Nags Head is more than just a pub—it's a place where you can relax, enjoy great company, and be treated like family. We left with smiles on our faces and memories to cherish. Plenty of space with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Food was average & like nearly everywhere these days needs to be hotter. Price was reasonable for the area.

Went for lunch with friend, starter was nice had goats cheese. Main was very dissapointing. Ordered cod and chorizo fishcakes , poached egg ,wilted spinach and side salad . egg was rock hard and solid, fishcakes were cold and soggy where egg had sat on them for so long. Had 1 spinach leaf and swimming in sauce. My friend Ordered a prawn sandwich, she was expecting fresh but for some reason they toasted it made it hard and dry. Altogether very dissapointed, never had issues before?.

An excellent evening after a tough weeks work. 12½ hour days in seating heat, on our feet all day. Just needed a break. It was provided by the Nag's Head. Lovely staff. Full of smiles. Slow paced - which is what we wanted and, above all, fantastic food. The wine and dine menu was great. No complaints and highly recommended.

Excellent service, food and atmosphere. Very competitively priced too. Was served by Maddy and Emma, with further interaction with the manager, Paulina. Very pleasant young women who made me feel most welcome. Have dined at The Nag's Head several times over the years and have always experienced high service standards. Will definitely return, especially as pub is within walking distance of my home. Very many thanks to one and all.

We had a delicious meal this evening - couldn’t fault the food, or the service we received from Tom. He was friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was only rated 3 stars as it was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday evening so there really wasn’t much atmosphere - probably a win for us though as it meant there was more time available for Tom to focus on his tables. Haven’t been here for a while but will definitely be back again soon.

A stylish pub with nice staff but very empty on a glorious Saturday lunchtime, which wasn't surprising because the cod & chips at a hefty £17+ was distinctly second rate. The fish was quite pleasant but certainly not cod, which has big firm white flakes not small soft off-white ones. The mushy peas were vile, I think they were actually liquidised undercooked garden peas, very unpleasant. Some of the fish batter was undercooked, pale and soft. There was too much salt sprinkled all over it. And the vinegar was watery! Nice chips and tartare sauce though. I should have complained but didn't because I didn't want to spoil lunch with my friend, but I won't be going back to eat.

Been drinking here for years and I’m still breath taken at how kind and caring the staff are, especially Kevin, wow what a lovely chap. If you haven’t drunk or eaten here your are seriously missing out I’m genuinely gutted for you.

Great pub quiz! Always enjoy the pub quiz at Nag’s Head. You never know what you are going to get. Great hospitality by the team and Kevin the quiz master was great! Really lovely venue as well come rain or shine with the fires inside or the garden outside.

A superb local pub serving a lovely selection of food. We’ve visited many times over the last 12 months and it’s never disappointed, and they seem to understand food allergies too, always happy to adapt things.

We had a wonderful lunch, the crispy duck salad was fantastic. Our waiter Tom was a brilliant host. Excellent drinks menu.

This is a family friendly pub with a gorgeous outdoor area and a delicious menu! Our server Evie was polite, attentive and we were well looked after. We will definitely be returning next time we come to Woking! I can recomment the linguine and celeriac steak!

Excellent service, food and friendly staff. Very kind to move us indoors when it got cold as the evening went on. The dessert was very nice especially with the flower on top of the brownie.
