This excellent restaurant has now been obliged to close so that the premises can be turned into residential dwellings. It was outstanding because of its unusually huge, varied and delicious menu, its thoughtful staff and pleasant design. There was nothing quite like it. A sad loss to Sheringham and north Norfolk.

The food is good here, that wasn't the problem. As with some of the other reviews, we found the old man ( I presume he is the owner ) extremely rude. He came to take our order as soon as we sat down. He didn't ask if we needed more time, he didn't say anything, no greeting, or 'What can I get you?' Just stood with his pad, pencil poised. We had barely had a chance to read the menu or look at the chalkboards so my friend asked if they had crab salad. The old man did not answer, just shook his head vigorously, -no apology offered, or 'No, I'm afraid not' A young lady served our meal, she was perfectly pleasant. As soon as we finished eating the old man came to clear away. He took my friend's coffee and she hadn't finished drinking it. As we wanted dessert we asked what 'crumble of the day' was. He just shrugged and said, 'well, we finish at three here'. It was ten to three, so no dessert for us. The opening times on the website say they close at four. If you have reached an age when you simply want to be an old curmudgeon and feel you can no longer offer your customers a warm welcome, it really is time to retire. Before you wreck your business. The strange thing is, there are many good reviews for The Mulberry Tea rooms. Perhaps they weren't served by him. Perhaps he has good days and bad days. We won't be going back to find out.

Quaint little restaurant. Went for our wedding anniversary and had Sunday lunch. The wife chose turkey and I went for the lamb. Was surprised how quickly the food arrived. Less than five minutes. The wife said hers was lovely, cooked well. Mine was also lovely……except for the lamb. No taste what so ever! I eat plenty of lamb and can truthfully say this was the tasteless I’ve ever eaten. Maybe some mint sauce might have livened it up but I wasn’t offered any nor was there any on the table. Had a nice glass of wine to wash it down which was lovely.

Found this little cafe by accident and as it was dog friendly it was ideal. It looks to be family run by some very cheerful staff, the lady took our order with a smile and quickly came back with some biscuits for our dog. My cottage pie was home cooked, delicious and served with a variety of vegetables all very hot and tasty. My husband had sausage and mash with three sausages, again delicious. The menu was huge and service excellent. We'll be back if ever we're in the area again.

When visiting the area, we always come here. We always have a lovely welcome from the gentleman who takes the orders. We sat outside in the patio area, but there was plenty of seating inside. The main is great, there are also 3 boards of main meals to choose from. It took us ages to make a decision, and he came back several times. In the end, we chose a pan seared salmon and a pork chop. Both came with fresh veg and new potatoes. Both were excellent choices, and we cleared our plates. The chef cleared our plates, and we complimented him and had a few jokes. Pudding called us, two apple & blackcurrant crumbles and Custard, again tasty. Unfortunately I couldn't finish mine. We enjoyed our meals, the service, and the banter. We'll be back

What a fabulous find! We were staying in Hunstanton and made a second trip the following day to eat at Mullbery's again. The food is excellent, you're spoilt for choice! They have a specials menu, children's menu, vegan menu, vegetarian menu, fish menu and a variety of Gluten free meals available. I had the chicken stuffed with asparagus and brie - delicious! For dessert on day one I tried the gluten free figgy clementine sponge pudding with cream. All I can say is - outstanding, I've never tasted anything like it. On day 2 I tried the vegan/gluten free chocolate and cherry tart - Wow, just exceptional. I cant recommend this place highly enough. We plan to stay a little closer next time we visit Norfolk so we can try out more of their dishes. Mulberry's is also wheelchair accessible both inside and out, they have a very clean accessible toilet which I found, snug, but manageable with my 20" chair seat.

Food is good and reasonably priced. However, having been told when I rang that masks were being worn by staff, I was shocked to see that regulations were not being properly adhered to by the older man, who I assume is the owner. Although there is a QR code visible, customers were not asked to leave contact details on entry. Tables were not cleaned between customers, no windows were open for ventilation and the man serving us wore no mask. We felt uncomfortable under these circumstances and, although the food is good, we will not be returning again.

This is one of the best little restaurants we have ever eaten in and nothing could be faulted. There is an exrensive menu of home freshly cooked meals all served to perfection. There was one of the biggest range of gluten free options I have seen in any restaurant. Service was efficient taking into account that everything was freshly cooked. The waiting staff were attenive and wiped the tables between meals.B ecause of Covid restrictions we had to eat in a small courtyard. Part of it was covered with an awning, but the whole area was well sheltered from the wind. The restaurant is small and easily missed, but it was such a relief to find somewhere that served something other than the ubiquitous fish and chips. We would thoroughly recommend this as the place to eat in Sheringham.

I visited this restaurant Sunday. For Medical reasons I can no longer eat meat. Their 'normal' menu had eighteen choices, plus roast dinners on offer: which is fantastic. There was a fish menu with plenty of choice: but the thing that impressed me the most was a FOURTEEN choice vegetarian menu. This is an area of the menu that is generally given just a token thought. All credit to this restaurant for the amazing choice. The food was delicious and everything was piping hot. My friends ate roast and I ate from the veggie menu. The service was swift but certainly not rushed, staff were friendly, helpful and very polite. I would suggest booking to ensure a table.

Not cleaned tables between use, in fact the man seeming to be running the place simply flicked the food debris and salt off the table next to us with a table mat/coaster and reset with out wiping at all. No track and trace details being taken. No covid measures being followed. Not a smile or any real manners from staff. Felt like an inconvenience. Told no children’s meals and it was limited as to what they could do as it was all pre-prepared/pre-made. Overpriced and nothing to write home about. What a shame that all of the other restaurants and cafes in Sheringham are trying so hard to keep staff and customers safe, and these people simply don’t care, they just want your money!!

We discovered - The Mulberry just off the main Station Road in Sheringham. Food is all home cooked on the premises, drinks available and the most delicious desserts. Very welcoming, accommodating hosts and beautiful surroundings. The toilets are in need of a little TLC and could do with some heating but this is just cosmetic and the owners are aware of this. I sat outside and at 12pm basked in glorious sunshine just off the beaten track - but there was ample shade too if you're not a fan of the mid day heat. Lovely. Ideal for people watching too! Inside was a comfortably cool temperature and very spacious with newspapers on the sideboard to read (please also have a copy of the guardian/independent!) Which was a nice touch. I had a juice and a chicken mayo jacket potato with side salad which was properly cooked, not microwaved and a good size portion. Afterwards I had a coffee and my bill was £10.50 which was excellent value for money. The service was quick and friendly, the owner, waitressing lady and young waiter all very pleasant. We were with Family and friends and we had just spent a few hours looking at fabulous classic cars on the sea front and we all decided to have lunch. We saw a young waiter and asked for a table for six people which he obliged. We sat down and had a chat between ourselves and looked at the menu on the table. Suddenly an elderly gentleman came out of nowhere and stood beside us, we thought this must be the waiter, I asked if their were any burger meals available and he bluntly said NO, menus are up on the wall there, there and there he then disappeared. When Mr Happy returned, stone faced he stood looking at us with a small note pad and pen, my Husband asked if he was taking the drinks order, the reply was IF YOU WANT. We looked at each other and thought what a rude man, but as we were hungry we decided to stay. Despite this person being under friendly, rude and by his sell by date the food was enjoyed by everyone. I visited the Mulberry tearoom with my elderly mother on a Sunday lunchtime. We had a very warm welcome, The service was excellent, the staff are very friendly and the food was superb. We had a choice of 6 meats for our roast dinner and it was the best roast dinner I had tasted for a very long time. All of the food is homemade and is delicious.

It has been sometime since we have visited this place but now that my sister has moved to Cromer, I know that every time we visit Norfolk, we shall have lunch here as it is also her favourite place to eat. What makes it special is the large menu which offers you a huge variety of dishes to suit your palate and that all of the food is prepared and cooked on the premises. I chose the fish pie for my mains followed by the apple and plum crumble with ice cream. Both courses were lovely and very filling. We look forward to visiting my sister again soon and try another dish from the menu.

Sadly, this wasn't a good experience with a baby and a toddler. We came in for family drinks on a Sunday afternoon and were greeted by an older gentleman with a very stony expression, absolutely no pleasantries or smiles. My toddler was extremely well behaved, my baby did cry at one point but stopped when rocked for a couple of minutes. My whole family commented on feeling unwelcome. Possibly the service is always this frosty but we were the only people with children so thought that could be an explanation. It was very tight for the pushchair and I could not see any high chairs - in fairness, I didn't ask for one (possibly they have some out of sight) because we just wanted to drink up and go! If you don't have children with you, I will say the roast dinner looked pretty good but don't expect service with a smile.

Called in today, after a previous enjoyable visit, as a lot of other cafes seemed to have shut up for the season. Huge menu choice, and we were served straight away. Food was nice, although my first hot drink was a nice hot temperature compared to the 2nd lukewarm one. Portion sizes were good. The Sunday roast looked nice - we hopefully will try that another weekend !

This is a small, intimate, family run restaurant just off the main street in Sheringham. The food is freshly cooked to order and the menu is extremely varied to suit all tastes with a special board for vegitarians.

Although Mulberry's might be tucked away it is a place you really must search out. Your order is generally taken by the owner, there are four chefs serving your choice from what can only be described as a huge selection of dishes. In fact it needs four plus chalk boards to list all of the options. Just one point, the place is so popular that you cannot expect to walk in and find a free table at peak times. Please make the effort to reserve a table. You have my guarantee that you won't be disappointed. Just one thing I have to disagree with. I don't feel it is a 'Tea Room' it really is a full service restaurant. Oh yes, it is also excellent value for your money.

This really is a wonderful place to eat. We started with morning coffee, browsing the extensive menu whilst we were there. The prices are so reasonable that we returned later for lunch, spoilt for choice really as there were 41 options on the menu, 11 of which were vegetarian. We each had a different meal & both were lovely & plenty of it, good selection of veg., all cooked fresh too which is a real treat these days. You could easily miss it but if you look along a little side road opposite the chocolate box that is where you will find The Mulberry, you won’t be disappointed. Dogs welcome too.

Four of us visited today. Three of us had a full English and one a teacake. The breakfasts were excellent with good sausages and bacon, and as a treat fried bread. Naughty but very nice. Service was excellent and we will definitely return.

We've had a few meals here in the last couple of years and are always impressed by the service and choice of foods. Over the weekend we were in sheringham we went for a lovely vegetarian breakfast and next day took friends for a meal in the afternoon. The veggie breakfast was the same as last years -delicious! And very filling. When we went with friends we had the veggie lasagne and they chose the meat lasagne and a chicken dish. Everyone agreed the food was lovely. It does have a really wide range of veggie and vegan dishes as well as fish and meat menus. Most Mains are listed at £9.99 I recall, and the chips are proper homemade chunky chips which made a pleasant change from the usual skinny oven chips some places offer. The mulberry does close at 4pm with last orders taken at around 3.30 so don't leave it too late. There is both indoor and outdoor seating and it is lovely and quiet outside as it is tucked off a little siding off the top of the high street. We found it quite by accident last year.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and would recommend it wholeheartedly to people of our generation. Britishness at its very best. Honesty, decency and a quality of service more associated with a bygone age. Reminiscent of the halycon days of our childhood. A rare treat in these troubled times.

Came across this bijou cafe/restaurant in the lovely town of Sheringham. Fast service and very polite. Fulsome menu with lots of choice all homemade. Almost spoilt for choice with lots of Veggie choices too which came as a pleasant surprise. Great food as well and nicely presented. We sat outside on one of the many tables against a flower filled wall. Prices were not cheap at about ten pounds for a main course dish, but worth it we felt.

Popped in for a snack but the menu choice tempted us for a full meal. Fabulous choice of meat or fish or vegetarian as well as a more “standard” choice of items (sandwiches, all day breakfast etc etc). Although I am not vegetarian I had the veggie sausage toad which was the best I have had. Sausages were the tastiest and had substance unlike many you get which are often as tasty as cardboard. Highly recommended.

Looking for a sit down and a tea break we found this off the main street tearoom and went in . The weather was extremely hot so we sat outside. Our order was taken and quickly fulfilled. We were impressed by the tables being cleared and cleaned as soon as they were vacated. I would recommend this tearoom

Booked outside table for lunch for four and it was reserved in very pleasant sun trap area. Staff very good and attentive and food was equally superb. Very good vegetarian selection and when I asked what was the 'Curry of the day' was given a choice of 4. Owner most helpful and took time to ensure customer care so would certainly visit again.

We stopped here for Sunday lunch on the walk from Sheringham back to Cromer after Sunday morning church at Life Church in Sheringham. Conveniently situated just a few minutes from the coast path. Although we had not booked they were able to accommodate us in the garden. Food was excellent and seemed good value.

The food was very good well cooked and presented, we had to wait for a while before our order was placed, however it's a busy local pub which caters for holiday makers also so this could have been the reason for the wait. Cheerful and pleasant staff, I would certainly eat there again.

WOW …What a find … great food choices . But just needed a coffee and coffee cake before going to the beach. Lovely friendly staff …Fantastic to know they have staff with learning difficulties who were so polite friendly and even gave my dog a treat . It will be my regular from now on . Many thanks

Been here before as we are fairly local and it was good. But this time terrible and very expensive we had roast pork with apple sauce, stuffing and crackling. Meat was mostly really Fatty and baguette was filled mostly with stuffing best bit was the crackling. At £8 each I expect far better just ripping off the holiday makers. Don’t think we will be going again. It was barely warm so back to the pie man at sheringham for us.
