What a DUMP. Place was Freezing Cold. as for the Staff. what an Ignorant Bunch..when we asked for the heating to be Upped or Turned on. it was ignored. so we kept our coats on... the so called Polite Staff. just laughted at us, when we complained..the way our large party were treated it was like being back at School. NO. it was Better when at School. the Food was Rubbish. half of it was Cold and Hard to cut. not cooked enough...the so called Gravy, just like coloured water,(cold)...some of us had ice cream for dessert. it was so hard. we never ate it. even the so called Entertainment!!!!!!. I will not waste my time on that Crap. place it was us Womens Christmas Treat...and it was RUINED.by The MULBERRY. at COAST DRIVE. GREATSTONE. KENT...who could not care a less...we spent a lot of money per head going there....what a waste.. would have been better off going to a Local Fish & Chip Shop....what we thought,was going to be a nice evening out. was a Shambles....we left at 9.30pm. was there for less than two hours.. .... MY and OTHERS ADVICE, is STEER CLEAR of the PLACE. SAVE your MONEY. and GO ELSEWHERE......Be Warned..

Had our Christmas night out never again food awful and management even worse, place was freezing cold had to sit with coats on, when complained was laughed at, will never go back, we had all left by 9.30 all that money wasted on over priced bad food

Friendly staff and good service 👍👍 Decor a little bit run down

After a lovely walk along the beach we decided to stop at The Mulberry for a cup of tea and a bacon sandwich. We sat outside by the car park. Our order was taken quickly (we didn't look at a menu as we knew we wanted 2 bacon sandwiches and 2 cups of tea) The food was served quickly , bacon between ordinary sliced white bread and two teas. A bit shocked at being charged £17..... EVEN more shocked when looking online at the menu now a few days later it seems the price should have bee £9.10. !! So if you visit the Mulberry look at the menu first and then check what you are charged.

Had breakfast in the Mulberry this morning sorry to say the food wasn't as nice as we had before Many items were burnt and fried eggs were over done and rubbery and scrambled eggs were dry and overcooked

Wow what an amazing restaurant! Located on the best sandy beach in Kent. Sit on the beach seating area or in the cool and traditional restaurant and bar area. The place is a throw back to a traditional pub, reasonable prices for drinks and a traditional menu again all reasonably priced. The 2 ladies serving worked tirelessly with a smile and nothing was too much effort for them which was a breath of fresh air. Great size portions and one of the best fish and chips we've ever tasted. Highly recommended and an ice cream hut outside that again isn't trying to rip you off. Highly recommended!

Passing and decided to Stop off here for early dinner/ late lunch with the family, worse decision ever! the beer was flat the food was uneatable!! after complaining to staff they was extremely rude to us!!! Especially the chef who took it upon herself to leave the kitchen and verbally abuse us with bad language in front of our young children!!!

Lacking wait times to eat, poor food quality, left with food poisoning

Love the Mulberry and the atmosphere the owners are wonderful and very accommodating

We tried this bar to drink some Cocktails. They had some but it mostly (or fully, we are not sure) came out of a bottle. They didn't taste bad but cannot be compared to freshly mixed cocktails. The Staff was friendly and our dog was also welcome and got a bowl with water.

We had a lovely home cooked lunch. Ample portions and good value 32 pounds for 2 of us. I had jacket potato with prawns and salad partner had sausage mash peas and gravy. With 2 large glasses of soft drinks. Simple fare well cooked.

Lovely place, great atmosphere, brilliant food. Very reasonably priced. Good place for a family meal. Places to sit outside, near the sea.

Popped in today after hearing local person telling us it was unfriendly … well it certainly was not! Despite them having a wedding fayre today we we welcomed in ( with our dog) . The service was friendly. We were invited to have the canapes provided for the wedding fayre. The bar staff and manager were do friendly . The venue looked superb and beautiful for any kind of occasion . We didn’t eat and they launched their new menu tonight . If the canapés were anything to go by then the food will be good and very reasonable. Will definitely come again

Absolutely lovely roast lunch with my partner today. Really lovely service, left us to enjoy our meal and left us to enjoy a coffee outside on the beach. 10/10

Just had Christmas Dinner here. Excellent food but the staff went out of their way to make our visit an experience, especially owner Megan. Can't speak highly enough about them, they took all the strain out of the meal, made us so welcome and then fed and watered us until we couldn't eat anymore. Made a real fuss of the children as well

I had a breakfast here a few months ago, it was fantastic, customer service was excellent, the staff were so friendly that I have become a regular customer. I would highly recommend this establishment.

I got the veggie breakfast and my friend got the mulberry breakfast, one of the best breakfasts I've had out! Highly recommend.

Went here because it was close to our hotel so gave it ago. Food was lovely, alot of stuff were home made like the fishcake as starter. Portions were good for adults. I did ask for the drinks menu but the waiter said they don't have one but there was a bar with all alcohol. So ended up getting a soft drink. Service was good, we did well to finish our main courses along with 3 starters for a family of 4. After dinner you could just stroll along the beach.

I can't write about the main meals, but I turned up mid afternoon in a somewhat bedraggled state needing a cup of tea and something small to eat as I had run out of energy walking along the beach. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and attentive. My cup of tea arrived very promptly (and how I like it - with the milk separate). The cheesy chips followed soon after- a very generous portion with whatever sauces I wanted. Total price £4.30 Oh, and the toilets were spotless! I would definitely go again.

Staff friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious and we would recommend the sharing plates. We had chicken strippers with a lovely chipotle sauce, beautiful bruschetta, patatas bravas and loaded thai fish cakes. Such lovely quality to the food. Desert was a chocolate melt (huge) and chocolate caramel cheesecake! Delish! Thank you for a lovely experience. Parking is ample behind the Mulberry and free after 6pm. Earlier than that requires payment which can be done at the machine at the entrance of the car park or via Ringo app. I guess people forget to pay for parking but the staff remind visitors. I would suggest adding the Ringo code to the parking notice within the restaurant to save walking back to pay for the parking.

No words, the staff have no idea what they are doing, it’s more of a social club than a pub/restaurant, first reaction on arrival walking in, it looked like a bingo hall, the most hideous seating and tables, we sat down at the table deciding weather to have a meal or not, looked over at the bar and the guy was vaping sat looking at us so we thought ok we will order at the bar we got to the bar he was in tracksuit bottoms and trainers with a awful work top the music from the little iPod so loud drum and bass, there was only 3 older guys in there I don’t understand why so loud ?? We ordered our drinks and was gobsmacked at the prices, Bacardi and lemonade had to pay full price for a splash because it come from a can?? Then as we was paying we heard what we was told to be the landlady shouting her mouth off in the back room either on the phone or in person to someone , what a potty mouth no establishment I’d go to again , like the lowest of the low den in there . Never again

Food quality was so poor chef have no clue about Sunday dinner or any cooking style how run English kitchen even u can not make Gravy 😇Yorkshire putting was old and dry and burnt Gravy was like no taste staff have no idea about menus or costumer service so totally waste our time

First off: • The staff aren’t trained, they don’t know what’s going on nor what the foods are available eg what meat is available for Sunday lunch when asked on Saturday booking and on Sunday when ordering food. • No menus given for adults food so no prices, charged £14 for the privilege of a terrible meal! •The owner/ landlady has a potty mouth in front of children aged 1-5 years with no regard! She cackled so LOUD you need ear plugs. • The chef was arguing loudly and banging everything so loud you could hear this in the restaurant. Very unprofessional Let’s talk about the food; •Sunday lunches : the food arrived separately 3 adults meals and 2 kids then approx 10 mins later 3 remaining adults meals. • The gravy - this wasn’t gravy! It was like a tomato based thin minestrone soup with no lumps (awful!!) • The Yorkshire pudding was cremated! Past burnt! • Plus a Sunday roast/dinner should have mash! No mash at all Finishing off: Don’t expect to be asked if your meal is ok as they don’t care at all. You won’t be asked! Last of all; when sorting the bill as I was shocked of the price aswell. I had to ask for a break down as still no idea of charges for meals or drinks which were just written on the paper bill as just a total not a breakdown of cost. Whilst doing this we mentioned the gravy been like a tomato based soup, this was dismissed as if I was lying, told well it shouldn’t be was the response. So overall just don’t bother as it was a waste of money! Worse than faulty towers!! The rating has to have a dot to submit! But honestly it would be no dots as it’s terrible! It could be better/ amazing as the location is there!

An absolutely fabulous very fresh fish confection. I'm afraid I demolished it far too quickly. A hand built salad arrangement made specially for my vegetarian wife. Went down very well. Its a proper pub right on the sea front. You step out of the back straight onto the shingle beach. There is a handy car park but we walked. Would definitely go back for the fish.

We came across this place as we cycled along the coastal path. Food was good and reasonably priced, everything looked spotlessly clean. The young lady that served us (Holly?) was an absolute delight and a credit to her employer. Would definitely go back if we are back in this part of the country again.

I was there on Sunday when the people that complained were there. The staff bent over backwards to try and please them, but they were determined to find fault in everything. The way they spoke to the staff was more like bullying. I don't think anything would have been good enough for them. I have eaten in there on many occasions and never had cause for complaint. Some people just have to make a fuss.

We booked here for Father’s Day. There was 6 of us. When booking we was told there was a live entertainment jazz band. When entering we ordered drinks my husbands beer came with dirt in it. And my daughters glass was filthy. Food came fast my 3 kids dinners was freezing cold. One chip was actually still frozen. They eat nothing from it. My starter was microwaved and my husbands chicken wings was not cooked all the way thru. At this point i let the staff know. Which the waiter took away straight away . Main was roast beef . It was a heated dinner what looked like it sat under the side and potatoes was frozen . The other main was a fish pie what weirdly had no fish in it smash and carrots. We let the staff know and they was so rude. The place is ran my teenagers who have a huge attitude. When to coming to pay the bill they even still charged us for the frozen chicken wings. The jazz singer was the waiter what didn’t even sing jazz songs . For a special Father’s Day meal it was awful I wouldn’t let my dog eat there. The place should be shut down .

My son Harry & wife Shelley held their wedding reception here on 7th May 2022. It was a wonderful day & outstanding service throughout the day. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone that would like to hold a wedding or something that needs a touch of class. Wow what a place. All staff very polite and approachable. Food was really nice. Enjoyed my cheese ploughman's. Finishes up with a 99 flake ice cream. Will be back next time visit. Amazing 🌟

This amazing bar and restaurant. The rear of the restaurant overlooks the beach. Food choices excellent and the prices are not over inflated. Staff extremely friendly. Recommend this amazing place if you are in the area

This was my first visit and I was there to see a DJ that was entertaining there for the evening. The people that served me were very friendly and made me feel very welcome amongst quite a few local regulars, who were also quite welcoming. The place was well looked after and clean, the drinks were nice with a good price. I would recommend popping in here for a drink. Don't be fooled by the lack of parking at the front door, just along the road is a carpark that you can drive round to the back and pull up to the rear entrance.

Great food! Lovely bottle of wine too. Christmas carols playing in a warm and inviting restaurant. The waitress was great and we really enjoyed our meal! The Christmas trees look fab too! Just moved to the area and this is a short walk for us. We will be back!

Overlooking the car park next to the beach! Young servers were extremely amenable, however, not completely au fait with the drinks/ snacks menu OK if you are in the area.. however personally nothing to make me travel off piste

We ordered lunch at 13:27 our food came out at 14:05, they were busy and were short staffed, the food was nice, plenty of it and reasonabley price. It was a hot day we sat outside. I went to toilet the restaurant was superb, toilets were nipping clean, lastly the staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough for you

This is the only bar/restaurant for miles along this stretch of coast with a genuine sea facing aspect. A welcome stop during a beach walk! Good sized interior with well spaced seating. It was quiet when we called but would feel safe even if more crowded. Outside seating (no cover) also available. Very friendly, helpful staff. We had a generously filled bacon sandwich but unable to comment further on the food offering. Toilets scrupulously clean. Overall a pleasant experience and we'll certainly come back.

Fantastic place for a meal or just a drink. Lovely friendly staff who go out of their way to make you comfortable. Great atmosphere. My husband and I moved to the area 9 months ago and pleased to say this is our local. We have had our anniversary meal with family members there on a Sunday the food is superb, we ordered a range of dinners ranging from Roast, Steaks, Gammon and Lasagne all cooked wonderfully and amazing deserts. Have also been in during the week and had fish and chips again A1+. Thank you for making us all feel very welcome. Highly recommended.

Food was disgusting never again, and the owner/manager was so rude the attitude was disgraceful, out door space was unsafe as panels of glass missing from the decking, don't waist your money!!edit## so u have no glass panels??

The welcome was warm😘 The drinks were cold ❄️ The service was super 👌 The food was fantastic 🍽️ All in all, everything was perfect and the icing on the cake..... my dogs were made welcome in a separate part of the restaurant. Looking forward to returning very soon.

Three very good meals had by our party. Very good ingredients, well cooked, and great staff. I had the big Mulberry burger, be warned it is a beast. Make sure you are hungry. Very good prices.
