Only drank there but really cosy sporty pub great atmosphere

Nicevpub for a pint, not had food from here for ages, but used to be nice.

Relaxed atmosphere not but not much choice on draft

Visited th Mount Pleasant today for Sunday Carvery....would highly recommend! Delious food, excellent choice and piping hot. Compliments to the Chef Damien.

Lovely carvery Beef was so tender and lots of it (I took some left over for a beef sandwich for tea) really enjoyed it. I will return.

Had a carvery with the family on Sunday, the customer service was excellent, we were greeted by a lovely member of staff who took our orders and we were told where we would be seated we couldn’t fault the service from start to finish staff were polite and helpful throughout our time at the pub the food was spot on fresh vegetables served a good choice of meats and a good variety of vegetables on display ,we didn’t have to wait as everything was always topped up also think the carveries are good value for the price, we also had puddings which were only £2 each extra.

First of all, i can not fault the mount pleasant carvery on sundays and Wednesday. ive been coming i Here for the last 2/3 years and not had a single fault with the food, It was nice and pleasant to see the same Chef upon arrival on getting the carvery, they always look after the customers with everything including how much meat you get. No frozen Veg all cooked from fresh and Everything is always is being stocked back up frequently, never have to wait. Then finally from me the for the price you pay, you get your Moneys Worth and More. 10/10 From Me

Had a fabulous dinner the little one is fussy with food but loved it the staff welcomed us and we were seated straight away and we hadn't booked but recommend booking as we came in as it was picking up the meat was fresh and not dry and the veg tasted like it was out my own garden couldn't recommend it more for the price . And I do understand why you have to pay for your drinks separately to the food as the drinks profit goes to the brewery and the food is for the owners as the owner kindly explained

Lovely place, people friendly, food excellent.

Unfortunately upon arrival at the half empty premises there was no one to greet you at the door and to be seated. There was no one at the bar either and after a short time a female member of staff confirmed our booking and immediately asked for payment for four carveries, separate from any drinks prior to telling us where we were to be seated. The tables were empty with only a few condiments and didn't look particularly clean. The wine glasses had soap marks on them and were returned to be replaced. Upon being served at the carvery which only opened one week ago, we were told that out of the two meets available which were beef and turkey that we could only have a small portion of beef as the rest were for expected customers that had booked. My wife informed them that we had booked and were then offered more beef if we wished. The yorkshire pudding was hard and the vegetables all needed restocking up. This was the first time in years that l have returned for a carvery meal at this location and sadly it will be my last. All of my party agreed the service and food was extremely poor on this occasion and you do not get a second chance to make a first impression.

Just popped into this pub and what a treat! The punters are so friendly and the new landlords are so genuine and friendly, I will definitely be coming back ,ti's is my new local!

The car park was rammed, the food wasn’t the best and it’s very clammy.. It also doesn’t look very good when you’ve got members of staff vaping behind where the carvery is served which we could all see

Booked the Mount for my moms 60th & they're were great from start to finish from taking the booking & putting on a buffet at last minute for me, looked after everyone all night with great service. I'd highly recommend using them for any party or functions 🤌

Sunday carvery and it was busy! Car park was small and rammed! The food was well presented, but some veg a little dry in the serving dishes,they were changed over quite often to be fair. it tasted good, and the price was cheap for Sunday overall. It would go again, decent place, decent food, great price, no complaints .

My friends and I enjoyed a fantastic evening of entertainment, we were looked after by Teresa and staff with a smile......it matters. Although it has been a while since I have eaten there,looking at what's on offer, it won't be long before I will be back😋

Had a roast turkey lunch, very nice for the price (£5 small portions ) could have been a little hotter but would ask next time for it to be hotter, overall better than cooking it Cater for gluten free as well

we have had my wifes birthday party there in July and the staff were a joy to deal with and the food and service were exceptional. So we decided to book my birthday again, and it was just the same they looked after us very very well. Excellent food, friendly staff, and a good pint, what more could you want, the Wednesday carvery has just been extended to Wed/Thurs /Fri because of its popularity as well as the Sunday carvery, so go on try it, you won't be disappointed 😋😋😋

Went last night with friends for our Christmas meal before the actual day and we had a 3 course meal which was great there was choice in all courses to chose from had crackers on table it was very enjoyable food hot and service excellent

Such a fantastic family run pub with a great feel good atmosphere. Staff are always friendly, polite and very helpful. Food is always delicious with meals that are always cooked like home cooking and not a ping in the microwave meal. The pub also has some great tribute acts, disco's, karaoke. Would recommend for anyone including families ☺️👍🏻

We are a family of 4 ( 2 adults , 2 kids) and we went there with another family of 4 for a Halloween party. We had a really nice time! The hosts were excellent and made us and the children feel really welcome. They had lots of nice party games for the kids and some for adults. All in all a really nice, family friendly place.

A real family run pub, food is beautiful, home cooked fresh carvery, staff are amazing and so friendly!! Hard to find a pub these days with entertainment, reasonably priced drinks and good food, you have it all with The Mount Pleasant. Definitely one to return too!

Great pub and restaurant, I had the Sunday carvery 1 off the best in a long while, and it's only round the corner from where I live, pudding I had the brownie with neopoliton ice cream, haven't had that for years, Really nice carvery and pudding, Definitely need to book as it's busy, but if it's busy it's the place to be, don't all rush at once as I will be there again with the family, staff where amazing as well really organised for such a busy place Definitely recommend 5 stars all round See you there

the staff are friendly and so lovely, it a family welcoming place and dog welcoming place too in the bar! the food was beautiful and when we went for a sunday carvery it was outstanding! as well as live entertainment on most weekends booming! highly recommend this place.

Went to visit for our Granddaughters 16th. Birthday party. Great atmosphere and Service from the Bar Staff.

Visited yesterday with my grandparents and daughter. Had the carvery. Beef was nice but pork slightly dry. Plenty of choice for vegetables. The staff were lovely and so accommodating with my baby. High chairs available too. Thank you ☺️

As a more elderly gentlemani found that this place is fantastic nothingis too much trouble a brilliant familyrun pub. The food is gorgeous highly recommend the fish and chips and the carvery is out of this world - proper home cooked food where the vegetables taste as they should nit watery at all. I haveno hesitationin recommending this place.

Carvery time as always. Food wasn't too bad. Abit dried out with some things but probably the best cauliflower cheese I've tried from a carvery anywhere

The couple who run this establishment are not very nice and not very bright. They made me feel most unwelcome.

Food is cheap and cheerfull , good value , pub clean and tidy ... staff lovley ... Toilets clean , but very small ... needs a disabled toilet to cater for people who need a little more room to manoeuvre...

Went for carvery here today and have to say it was fabulous. Choice of beef or turkey(or both). A great selection of vegetables, and all piping hot too. Cost was £9 per adult which was amazing. Can highly recommend but best to book especially Sundays.

This is a brilliant place! The carvery really is beautiful, you see the staff constantly bringing out fresh veg and the meat is always tender. Not only do they do lovely food, they put brilliant entertainment on every weekend. The management and staff are all very friendly and accommodating. All round great family pub!

On the occasion I've had a carvery they have always been value for money. Food is fresh and always hot and service is second to none.

This is a great pub. The carvery is amazing, there is a constant supply of fresh veg, it’s not sat there for hours or sat in water and the meat is always so tender! (I would definitely recommend booking) Not only do they supply a great dinner they have brilliant entertainment on. The management and staff are really great people, always friendly and accommodating. This is a definitely a place I will continue to visit.

We had the carvery, excellent choice of vegetables. The roast beef was cooked to perfection. Very reasonable prices. It was lovely to see the place busy.

So first time visiting today and well what can i say? Ill tell ya what i can say! What an absolute bangin roast, forget ya franchise pubs toby and stonehouse for example. Everything tasty no same taste all veg tasted as it should not like water/bland. And the beef oh man succulant juicy bangin, all for a mere 9squids avit. Also do chicken and pork, which was also as good becaues i ate the leftover meat from who i was with

I visted the pub recently since the new management took over...the carverys and breakfast are outstanding lovely pub great family atmosphere and entertainment is amazing 100% recommend

What a wonderful little gem of a pub. Family run and very welcoming. Some superb live music been on with more advertised. The carvery is amazing but booking is recommended on a Sunday not had one on a Wednesday yet.

Lovely carvery with a good selection of vegetables. Only two choices of roast, beef and turkey, but these are new owners finding their way so I am sure they will expand in time. Staff were very friendly and keen to help. We will visit again.

We had a table for 9 people as it was my parents 62nd wedding anniversary. Considering that the pub owners have only been here for 15 weeks, it is run perfectly and is equal, if not better than some pubs we have recently visited. The staff were friendly and the table service was brilliant. The place is spotlessly clean. The drinks are reasonably priced and the food was excellent. Two of our group had the cod loin which was excellent. Another had Lasagne and another had Scampi. The rest of us had the Carvery. Every meal was perfect. Topped off with nice desserts and a nice cappuccino to end the meal with. The meals were all the same price. An amazing £6.50 each. I wasn't expecting much for £6.50 but I was so wrong. It was excellent. Thanks to all of the staff. See you soon.
