We went on a Sunday and wanted to have a Sunday roast, I had the lamb and my partner had the pork, both meals were delicious and well worth the money along with great service

Food was great and so was the service. The only issue was that we were located next to a window and it was crafty. We sat there with coats on. We couldn’t move as it was a full restaurant of which we understand as the pub is lovely. Really good meals otherwise it would have been a 5 star rating

Disappointing…. Table was sticky and had not been cleaned, service was slow, set menu unavailable after 7pm which wasn’t made clear on website. Vegetable cold however pie delicious.

One of my favourite places to eat, food is always delicious, service is friendly with a lovely atmosphere, would recommend.

We had our wedding reception at the crown, it was a wonderful experience, they looked after us so well. The food was amazing as we had a family meal before our wedding and a buffet afterwards for a celebration held at the Tipi. Thankyou to Katie and the chef for an absolutely amazing experience.

Fish Friday, lovely food again and such a relaxing environment, really enjoyed our visit and will definitely return soon.

The food was lovely as usual but our experience was marred because we were so cold. This has happened on two previous occasions so obviously nothing is being done to improve the situation. It’s such a shame.

A fabulous pub / restaurant with a lovely ambiance. Celebrated a surprise birthday lunch for my mum and with friends. The food was outstanding as was the attentive service and very friendly. Highly recommended and gather a dog friendly pub too as noticed a dog biscuit jar on the side. Definitely worth a visit and one we will use again. A huge thank you to Darren (Proprietor) and chef for making the occasion so special and memorable. 🙏

It was a Saturday impromptu late lunch/early dinner. We felt welcomed, the food was perfect, good service from friendly attentive staff, Joss was outstanding, professional, helpful and her natural warmth shone through. We were glad we stopped by, it was well worth the visit and we will go back.

Sunday lunch is absolutely gorgeous every time. The service is great too. Not sure of her name but lady with brown straight hair and braces might be a manager as she wears a different top to the other girls. She is so good, perfect customer service always lovely can’t do enough for you.

A return visit after a not so good previous experience. What a turn around! Our table was near the fire and this area was warm and cosy. Almost immediately we felt relaxed and comfortable. Our drinks arrived in good time. Staff on point and efficient and we were not disappointed when the food arrived. Beautifully cooked, hot plates and fabulous flavours. Perfect. We’re so pleased we gave The Crown a ‘second chance” to impress. We’ll definitely be back soon!

Love it here, it's a great venue & the staff are really friendly. The new menu is fab too plus we managed to get the 25% off which was a bonus

Tasty food,lamb rump pink,perfectly cooked.Bao bun could have done with a bit more chili flavour ( but that's just my preference) Good selection of Gins/ cocktails. Staff all really friendly.

Hired the Tipi for a birthday party. Staff were accommodating and opened the additional bar outside the Tipi. We ordered from the buffet and it was tasty and hot on arrival.

It was my first time eating at The Crown. The pub itself is very nice. The service we received was very good. The atmosphere in the pub is very relaxed, although I will say that where I sat next to some locked glass doors that led out to an area that wasn't being used, that there is one hell of a draft coming through those doors. The food was good, I had the tomato soup for starters and in my opinion, it was a little bit spicy, to the point that I could barely taste the tomato. For my main course, I had the steak, which was cooked to perfection 😋. There was a large steamed tomato that accompanied the steak. We visited the Crown for the first time in quite sometime and ordered a meal off the Christmas fayre Menu. From the menu we ordered as starters the Mushrooms and Butternut Squash and goat cheese tart , both were very enjoyable, whilst not accompanied by anything. The mains were Turkey dinner and Braised Blade of Beef, the main meals were somewhat small but tasty. The 2 courses came to £27 pp, adding a dessert was an extra £4. Overall nice experience , could just do with increasing portion sizes.
