Great place, great service, delicious food. Really enjoyed the falafel bowl with bulgur and salad, and kids had pasta with tomato sauce (better than mom's at home).

Really pleased to find this place on the way to Dungerness. The food is home cooked which makes a great change from vegan junk (Im partial to a bit of junk food, but not all the time!) We had the quiche which was lovely and sat in the garden which is full of herbs. Entertainment was provided by the resident sparrows and starlings eating from the food that had been put out for them. Great place and the staff were very friendly too!

Had a delicious lunch with my daughter. The menu is short, but the food is homemade and really lovely. I'd recommend arriving early if you want the most choice, but there are also vegan cakes and ice-creams. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

Delicious lunch at this unique little vegan cafe in Dymchurch. More than enough food for two. The veggie bake oozing with Vegan cheese melted in your mouth and a selection of falafel and salads i the Buddha bowl was very tasty! Topped off with a slice of Peanut butter brownie 😋. Will definitely be returning. Thank you!

Lovely plates with home made recipes, fresh salads and fermented extras for the healthy conscious. Cakes are sensational. Hand made vegan you expect from a gourmet restaurant costing an-arm-and-a-leg! Not just for vegans but a good place for those who just like good food and dont fancy fried foods.

We received brilliant service from Ian during our visit in June, he was so helpful when we were deciding what to have. In the end he made us a delicious sharing bowl of all different things and the whole family loved it, including the 2 year old! The quality of food is extremely good and you can just tell Ian is very passionate about what he does. My daughter has since been back with her Grandad and had another lovely meal, I can't wait for my next visit! It's so nice to have such a good vegan place so close to home.

Stopped off for lunch halfway through our bike ride along the Kent coast. We couldn’t have picked a better place. Greeted by the lovely Ian, explained us all the dishes on offer - which all sounded lovely. Neither of us are vegans or vegetarians but didn’t stop us. Ordered the stuffed peppers, sausage meat and the pasty stuffed with spinach and cheese + 2 smoothies! Wow, what a meal, healthy, incredibly tasty and thoroughly enjoyable. If I could this place a 10 star, I would, it’s wasn’t just the food, it was also Ian & his lovely little garden - perfectly formed! Highly recommended and we will be back.

This little café/tearoom is small, packed full of flavours - and so friendly. Handmade, home-made and honestly delicious, the M+P menu is what an independent vegan café should be like. Cakes - great. Coffee - great. Savouries - great. Service - great. Value - great.

Popped in for a drink on a Saturday afternoon. This is a great little place, and you don't need to be vegan to enjoy it.My partner said the coffee was fantastic, rich, deep and very nice, served in a cafetiere. The owner was friendly and asked about the strength of coffee and preferred milk alternative. It was great service that felt personalised but not intrusive. The garden area out the back is quiet, sunny and lovely to sit in. We watched several bees tending the plants. Even though we didn't eat what was on the menu for that day smelt heavenly. When we are next in Dymchurch I'm sure we'll be stopping for another cup of coffee.

Fabulous to have a vegan cafe/restaurant in Dymchurch. Took my carnivorous father. I had a warm roll with cheeze, 'meat's balls, salad and pickle. My father had lentil Dahl, rice and roll. We finished with coffee and for me a muffin with jam and cashew cream. Yum, yum. Go, it's worth it 1: Because it's a vegan oasis 2: Because it's VERY VERY tasty (AND FRIENDLY) 3: Because it's very, very reasonably priced.

I visited The Mortar and Pestle at the weekend and had a delicious lunch. There was a great choice of tasty, hot vegan food (I especially loved the 'meatball' roll). The owner was really friendly, despite being rushed off his feet! We also had a sweet treat to take-away, which we really enjoyed. I look forward to visiting again and seeing what other treats are on offer.

We visited this lovely tearoom during the winter one week after it had opened and we re-visited today. Ian has now expanded his offerings of tea and a lovely selection of cakes to lunchtime treats such as rice with roasted vegetables and wraps. The food in here is amazing! It tastes out of this world, is colourful and nicely presented. Ian makes you feel extremely welcome and gives you 100% attention. Nothing is too much trouble for him. The tearoom is nicely decorated and now offers the benefits of a secluded courtyard garden which today was glorious. Definitely worth calling in here, vegan or not vegan - you will love the food and the experience.
