Lovely looking place from the outside, but when you get in a bit like the doctors tardis. A massive garden is a seated area. Food ordered, very quick service. The food was cooked to perfection. Well done, chef. Lovely water feature in the garden, the sound of water is so soothing. Will definitely be visiting again. Well done, everyone... And thank you.

Food is very well made, I had ultimate burger and it lives up to its name, the burger comes with fries and gravy which is a nice combination. We took our whippet and sat outside next the lake, which has a fountain and ducks splashing around with the fish. Nice relaxed environment, there is a section inside you can take your dog if the weather turns bad. We don't smoke but there is smokers area outside too. So good I went twice in one week

The food was delicious and the option to dine inside or outside was really nice. It will definitely become my and my family's go to place for a nice evening outside. 100% recommend.

It is a nice place and we had a lovely evening with friends, however kids food was dissapointing. We ordered kids burgers which were dry and buns became hard very quickly. My kids are not fussy eaters, they eat everything, but this time they did not want. Even their dad! Waste of money.

Not visited previously. Not sure if our experience was fully reflective of the usual standard of food and service. Although we were advised we would be waiting for food, our wait between courses well exceeded the timeframe. The food was ok. Maybe it was an overly busy night.

Took my mum here for lunch we both had haddock and chips absolutely lovely sat outside as the weather was good so relaxing

The place was comfortable and suitable for friends when they want to chat rather than being assaulted with loud music. The food was acceptable but not exceptional. The service was average and again acceptable. The atmosphere was fine.

Manager was chewing gum whilst taking our order, food came out quite quickly but order was wrong, we order three steak meals so shouldn’t have been difficult. One meal was noticeably smaller than the others and had arrived cold. Staff didn’t seem to want to be there.

Best beer garden in area. Very friendly service. Good value for money.

We went there yesterday to sit in the garden and have something to eat and enjoy the weather ,the staff were really nice and helpfull..,first we been given reduced menu!!got few main courses and deserts in it ,and the tables outside were really dirty so sadly we had to leave..to be honest i know this pub for more then 15 years ,such a nice location but only if you want to drink something

A bit late in getting round to my review! Visited the pub in the late July during the little heatwave we were blessed with! This gave the perfect opportunity to eat in the Moreton Hall’s lovely beer garden! Really enjoyed the serenity of sitting by the pond in the sunshine with my family. I had the slow cooked rib of beef and it was delicious! Even treated myself to a cocktail! Have been here a few times and never a complaint to be had. Thanks Lewis & the Moreton hall team!

I met a friend for what would have been lunch, however chose not to eat and leave after one drink to appalling service and state of the premises. I arrived first and ordered two soft drinks while I waited in the garden my friend to arrive. Due to health reasons I have to carry a snack and on this occasion before ordering I had to have a sugary snack. Within minutes a male member of staff came out and very rudely asked me if i was buying food or not because own food is not allowed. Then a blonde haired middle aged woman who likes she worked in the kitchen came and stood at the doorway staring at me. This occurred at least twice more by other staff and was completely humiliating and degrading showing no consideration for my needs at all. We chose not to have lunch, finished our drinks and left. Two mums then arrived sat and on a table outside too us and were feeding their toddlers snacks from their lunch box. Not once did anyone question them. Further to this the state of the tables was shocking- many with dirty glasses and covered in bird faeces (see pictures). The toilets were absolutely vile with the sanitary bins overflowing, and used sanitary products left on the side, no lock on one of the doors either. The sinks were so grimy and fresh lick of paint needed (see pictures). It genuinely felt cleaner not to wash my hands in there! On the outside it looks like it could be a nice place but sadly the customer care and cleaning standards massively lets it down. Will not be returning.

We used the Ember Inn to host the lunch for a christening party and the food was delicious, service was great and the outside space was lovely. Would highly recommend!

I met my sister and nephew for lunch during the week and it was still surprisingly busy so it must be very popular! We had a lovely time and sat in the large beer garden, the drinks and food were amazing and I would highly recommend this lovely pub.

This pub has a lovely garden and staff are very friendly.

Food was really quick to come out and was amazing, the wings were my favourite. Would definitely cone again as the atmosphere was great, positive staff members who clearly work hard and it shows with the high standards!

After arriving we quickly ordered both drinks and food. After an hours wait our food arrived. The children’s meals were ok, however clearly deep fried and over cooked. My wife’s chicken had seen several minutes on the grill and was rather charred but hot. My burger was very poor, temperature was not above the safe 63 degrees, after returning the meal and complaining the meal was returned to me somewhat 30 minutes after the initial complaint, still the quality was very poor considering the previous meals we had eaten at the establishment. Luckily the children’s desserts arrived quickly after I had begun the eating of my main course. The beer and gin were good however not sure that I will be making the trip for food again. I was disappointed as the occasion had been let down by both the food and the service we had received. This was a Wednesday evening and feel the staff and kitchen were unable to cope and send rather simple food out both safe, hot and acceptable to the customers and community they were serving.

Great pub , the prices on food are really standard here too, the food is great too I had a roast everything wad amazing the veg could have been a little better , but the meat so tender and melts the gravy was just silly smooth with such a wondful flavor, parking isn't too bad location is great . All in all a great place to take the family

Having been last year, and having an exceptional Sunday lunch, we decided to have a ride out yesterday.. Had beef rib Sunday roast. The beef was all fascia tissue and the little meat that was on the bone was fatty and tough. The roast potatoes were out of a frozen bag, tasteless and hard. We like stuffing and it doesn't usually come with beef, so we ordered two side portions of stuffing wrapped in bacon. I really can't put in to words how disgusting they were, or comprehend how it was achieved. I have to assume they had attempted to deep fry them in oil that wasn't hot? £47 for this display (with two drinks). This one is off the list for the future.

Spent a lovely afternoon with my family, for my husbands birthday. Meals were all lovely. We had a selection as there was 6 of us. Staff very attentive, polite and happy in their work. Ethan, Lewis, Nick and Hanif were very impressive and a credit to your company. Will definitely be back.

We regularly visit and this establishment but very disappointed on this occasion. The place was empty due to the football match! You’d like to think the service would be better as there were so many staff to help, however they were all standing around not wanting to really be there! I get that but don’t work in that industry!! Good was okay not great

I will admit: we were not prepared to be seated and then order thru the app. There was no one to ask questions about the menu, unless I got up from my seat and returned to the main dining room. Even then, it was hard to find assistance. The physical menu listed a drink that wasn't on the app.... Whatever, it didn't matter: the basic drinks order was wrong. Our meals (for a special occasion) were disappointing. There was no follow-thru on anything. I honestly thought we were just having a day until the octogenarians at the table beside us had to argue about having they Sunday roasts reheated. "Reheated!" The spaces were clean and very pleasant. Plenty of parking. Yorkshire puddings were lovely.

My wife comes and l stopped by recently for some lunch on a Saturday. The food was mediocre and probably on a par with wetherspoons. It felt a bit cramped with other diners quite close by. One dish came out with a sauce on it that was not on the menu but the staff apologised and rectified it quickly and professionally

Great venue, in a lovely community location, fantastic outside space which we are in as the weather was perfect for alfresco dining. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was good value for money

The hospitality was next level, the staff were very accommodating and we had an over-all pleasant experience!! I believe some of our Steaks were not cooked quite as prescribed, but they were still lovely

The food is good, unfortunately the service was bad. The food was served, for five people. The last person came with the cutlery. This took five minutes. The food had been ready to be served for a while. As a result, the steak and fries were already cold. Indicating this meant that person received a new steak, before it arrived the others had already finished their food. The dessert was also left out too long, causing the ice cream to melt. All in all, the controls are not well coordinated. Because of this I wouldn't eat there again.

Maddi provided exceptional service. Her warm demeanor and attention to detail elevated our experience. Her spot-on recommendations and outstanding hospitality made us feel welcomed throughout our visit. We look forward to returning!

Enjoyed an evening meal here, staff friendly and food fresh and good quality. Steak for me, cooked medium rare and very tasty. My wife had avocado and grain salad, again fresh ingredients and tasty. Food delivered quickly too. Price on point for the location at £30 for both meals and would recommend a visit for good quality, fresh food

Had a terrible meal here today ..Don't order the bangers and Mash. It only filled half the plate and looked and tasted worse than a ready meal from the supermarket...Poor value for money!

Staff are great here, always polite & welcoming. As a person with disabilities I asked for a quiet table which was provided. Unfortunately access to it was really diffas the tables were too close to each other. We had a lovely evening with family. We liked the look of the new menu, however I ordered the new Biscoff Sundae & was very disappointed with it. It appeared to be ice cream, topped with cream, a drizzle of sauce & 2 biscuits sticking out of the top. Nothing special, I won't be ordering it again :(

So the food here is always fantastic. I cannot express how well it's always cooked and always tasty. The Sunday roast options are by far the best in the area. The service is always good. However, sometimes slow, but I think that's just because they're busy, which isn't a bad thing, My one continuous bugbear with this place. Is that as you go in the seating on the left? Which is high seating is used for sit down meals. Realistically, it's OK for a sandwich and a drink. But We have been reserved a table up there before.When 2 or more of us are eating our main meal?I m afraid to say its simply not big enough and not suitable for that type of dining.

Staff too busy chatting or standing outside. Waited quite some time to be taken to our table. 2 popular beers were not available due to cleaning pipes. Food took ages to arrive and when it did the chips and peas were cold. No one came to clear the table. The desserts were also slow. The wall next to our table was unsightly as it had been damaged. The chairs were dirty and the cushions on the bench seat constantly slid off. Really poor service and environment.

A friendly welcoming local pub restaurant with a village duckpond and heated cabins in the back garden. It's advisable to book a table at busy times to avoid disappointment .

You don’t go to this pub for exceptional food - it’s very basic but keenly priced and you can find something to eat on menu. Service always very good and there is always a friendly atmosphere- great tea and coffee nice walking pit stop

This was our first visit. We arrived and seated promptly. Our food arrived in a timely manner. It was piping hot which is important to us. Service was excellent.

Slow with drink service. Bacon cold, hit and miss here. Used to be great but now just average.

ordered sirloin steak medium rare, was served sirloin steak charcoaled. There were 12 in our party, so had to wait for mine to be redone, which meant that I ate alone as everyone else had finished their meal, by the time I received my replacement.

I hadn’t been here in years but it was still as I remember and still had a great atmosphere. The staff were really welcoming, service was excellent and the food was delicious. We were told that there would be a 15 minute wait for the food but it was served up in like 10 minute. The only let down was there wasn’t enough chips for me. But otherwise it was all cooked perfectly. My 3 year old daughter had a child’s sausage, chips and baked beans which she must have liked as she cleared her plate. The lady staff member was so impressed with her eating all her food and not making a mess that she gave my daughter a small chocolate bar. It’s these little things that make it and with it will make us return there again in the near future.

I love Moreton Hall the food, service, atmosphere is Great. I feel like so Welcome there. I eat there every week.

I recently organized to go here with a hen do and it was absolutely brilliant from start to finish - the staff were all very happy to help me with the booking, and are very accommodating. Not many places around Bury allowed drag queens but this pub did!! The staff were so helpful and friendly as well. Thank you so much 💜

Food is ok, as youd expect for a chain. .. but what we REALLY liked was the customer service. Maddie listened and advised us on the menu for a tricky eater. Varied the menu with ease too. The music is a bit loud but our choice of easy playlist. We had a good night with family. Booked last slot 9pm online at 8.30pm 6 of us. They made us welcome and happily served deserts at 10.30pm . We will return.

Friendly staff, good service and food.

Was part of a party of about 25 people, not sure they are used to serving so many people at once. I would go again for dinner just to see if the service is better for jus 2 people. The view in the garden is beautiful tho.

We use Moreton hall at least twice a week for lunch and then occasionally with drinks with friends. Pleasant environment and always catered for!

First time eating at pub....a good variety on the menu. Service was friendly and quick as pub almost full. Liked the free car parking although you are requested to sign in your registration plate number . Would visit again.

Food was good, visited on a Wednesday sad about the staff, rude and don’t seem to care about the customers, table in the garden was filthy we had to wash the table with a wet wipe, will not be coming back.

Food was ok but on par with Wetherspoons , the tables we too close together and the waitress could reach our table so food and drinks were put on an edge for us to reach out for!
