The Moorings in Highland

Stopped in on a Friday for lunch. Town was buzzing since not a lot of places open. We got a table quickly and order just as quickly. I ordered the Turkish salad and I will say it was delicious and a very large serving. Husband had the fish and chips and it was nice and crispy along with the tasty chips. Overall a good meal at a fair price.

We got to the restaurant right before the lunch rush so we were able to get a table. People arriving several minutes after us were being rejected. The server there was very rude. He wasn’t to us, but just watching I couldn’t believe how he was acting. We order and everything went fine. My food wasn’t great. It lacked flavor. My husband liked his. Toilets on site were not clean. They smelled bad.

Those turkish people are so antysocial I can't any more I use heating and tgey smoke in home behind my wall from 10 years I fell smoke and marihuanna ,I was working there 2,5 years without day off for month never get paid full wage always kebab was own ne money even when my dog was doing for cancer my shih tzu ! And I was doing everything even work 16,17 hours per day, in dumner 70 hours week , they don't care if my own pizza was with mold dough and mold cheese I was so sick I called ambulance for myself ! Disgusting people ! Alcoholic Adam even didnt know time of the day ,day evening disent matters! They try break in to my tv at 2 am they turn on on Bluetooth in my home turkish music etc , pig not people !!!! Take it from ex employee !

We visited the area on a March Saturday afternoon, great area and pretty but most places were shut. Found this place to be open and had some coffees, average at best!

A NO go place. Personel is very rude. My husband wanted to eat something and i wanted a drink. That was not possible. I needed to eat as well. So we went and they said byeeeeee.

A warm welcome from Alex and the team at the Moorings restaurant. Excellent food and service Alex did is a special kebab platter for two people and it was excellent. We could only eat about a third of it and we took the rest back to our boat to eat the next day, absolutely fabulous give this place go the fish and chips was also excellent.

Típico de áreas con puntos de interés turístico, está al lado del punto de donde parten los cruceros al Lago Ness. Hay negocios que se aprovechan para sacar la mayor tajada. Es lo que sentí en este lugar, desesperados por no encontrar muchas más opciones. Nos sentaron rápido pero se les veía más preocupados en limpiar mesas para sentar a más gente que en atender a los ya sentados. La comida cara como es habitual en Escocia, pero aquí la calidad no acompaña. Una vez pedimos, la comida salió demasiado rápido, lo que nos hizo pensar en comida congelada. Las chips del fish&chips lo confirmaban. Sin sabor, sin color, sin textura. Es difícil no acertar con este plato. Los platos parecen abundantes, pero con mucho relleno insulso. Al pagar, por seguir la costumbre en este país, quise pagar el 10% de propina (4 libras), y el camarero “entendió” 10 libras, lo que terminó de confirmar mi sospecha de que buscan sacar el dinero fácil a los turistas. Busca otras opciones o mejor trae algo cuando visites el lugar.

We stopped by here for lunch. The staff were very nice and I got the fish & chips and my wife the chicken kabobs. The fish was okay, but the chicken was very good. Good selection of beers. A bit pricey but expected for a tourist trap like Loch Ness.

Best little pub loch side Went here for a drink because it was hot day The staff couldn’t have been friendlier to us and our assistance dogs we will definitely be back.

My first impression was that the manager’s smiling greeting seemed insincere. As I watched him ignore, belittle or dismiss different customers, I was fascinated to see how my first impression was confirmed. The restaurant was busy, so I assumed the quality of the food must make up for the poor service. Not so! It seems the convenient location and hordes of naive tourists like myself are just asking to be treated that way. My advice: Avoid at all costs unless you’re looking for an object lesson in how not to run a small business.

Had a nice meal, tasty and really huge plates. Staff was extremely helpful. Will definitely come back.

La comida era excelente, pero sus medidas de seguridad de COVID 19 eran vergonzosas. Estuvimos en el almuerzo durante aproximadamente 1 hora y ningún cliente completó los datos de contacto al entrar o salir (lo hicimos). Además, alrededor del 50% de los huéspedes ingresaron por la puerta lateral donde no había lavado de manos disponible ni se registraron para obtener los datos de contacto. Del 50% que usó la entrada adecuada, solo el 20% usó el lavado de manos y, como dije, nadie dejó los datos de contacto mientras estábamos allí. De hecho, nuestros detalles estaban solos en la lista.

Cobwebs, insects and the worst pizzas we’ve ever had. £40 for 3 small Pizzas and 4 soft drinks, you can get perfect pizzas in prime London locations for a lot less. This place is a tourist trap. Don’t be fooled by the location.

Deficiente era terrible, el servicio era deficiente. . . No me habría molestado en poner guisantes en mi plato por falta de ellos. Todo el mundo parece tener diferentes cantidades de patatas fritas en el plato. Me están pasando, desinfectante de manos diluido. Comida impactante, servicio impactante y nada limpio. .

Very poor quality food,pizza was the worst I have ever tasted, chips are dry and tasteless certainly not fresh. Food is overpriced to worth a visit would not recommend to anyone.

La comida era buena, que era lo que estábamos allí. El servicio estuvo bien, pero ciertamente no me entusiasmaría. Las medidas COVID no son las mejores. Lovely location, however, food very basic and service poor, waiter just starred at us when we asked if they had a table available. This place was a let down, especially in such an iconic Scottish location. Wouldn’t recommend.

Después de mucha búsqueda de suelas, decidimos tener un día libre durante esta pandemia, así que como no queríamos viajar muy lejos, decidimos hacer un viaje corto hasta Fort Augustus. El clima era agradable y soleado, luego decidí comer algo. Tuvimos un explorador y nos conformamos con "The Moorings Restaurant" simplemente porque otras personas estaban comiendo allí. Bueno, este lugar parece no saber nada sobre esta pandemia, o muy poco sobre limpieza. Para empezar, NO se tomaron detalles, no se tomaron mascarillas, cubiertos colocados en un recipiente de madera, tenedores en un lado, cuchillos en el otro lado, solo meta la mano dentro y sírvase, tocando todos los cubiertos. Como las mesas fueron retiradas de los clientes anteriores, hubiéramos pensado que las mesas se habrían limpiado y desinfectado, qué equivocados estábamos en las mesas recién limpiadas (bien cepilladas) eso era todo. Durante nuestra estancia, cuando el personal hablaba entre ellos era en un idioma extranjero, muy poca interacción con los clientes. En cuanto a la comida, no era nada especial para destacar, muy soso para ser honesto. Así que tenga cuidado si usa el restaurante The Moorings en Fort Augustus, no está nada contento con la situación aquí. Personalmente, si hubiera sabido lo que sé ahora, nunca habríamos comido allí.

Other than a few stickers on the floor this place has no covid measures in place. The pint of beer came in a can. It seemed that eating in was a problem. I paid for my drink and left before my food arrived.

No se toman datos de contacto ni se necesitan reservas. La camarera tuvo que volver dos veces para comprobar mi pedido. 1 tostada de queso y tomate, ¡una coca cola y un café! No tenía máscara ni visera y todo se sentía bastante incortable. Fort Augustus está muy ocupado, pero esto no estaba ocupado. ¡No es de extrañar! !

Estábamos parando en Fort Augustine para hacer un poco de turismo y comer un poco. Teníamos niños hambrientos y buscábamos un lugar para vegetarianos. Nos señalaron en la dirección de The Moorings que puede que no hayamos notado.El dueño era encantador y muy servicial, aunque solo tenía patatas asadas y pasta mediterránea, la comida era muy sabrosa y el tamaño de las porciones era muy bueno.No tengo ninguna queja, solo un cumplido.

Nourriture de cantine au prix d'une nourriture de restaurant. Fish and chips pas top du tout ( poisson surgelé, frites surgelées, aucune sauce). Bref à éviter sayf pour boire une bière.

The staff don't care if you're here for food, they'll cheekily give you bottled water when you ask for water and sorry to say the food isn't any better.

I wish we'd read reviews before ordering pizza here. It was so bad we couldn't eat it. It looked like speckles of green mould on the underside. Such a disappointment.

We had a lovely family dinner in this restaurant. The food was fantastic - special mention for the chips - the service was excellent and all for a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

we arrived in FA and everywhere else had stipped serving food. This was the only choice and it was lovely. I got a baked potato with cheese and beans and my husband got a cheese burger with chips. We even ordered a pint while we waited for our food to be cooked - we got takeaway food. Lovely experience

Decided to go in here as board outside says Fish and chips served fresh.I saw other peoples fish and knew it was frozen so opted for macaroni,chips and peas.It was disgusting, macaroni no flavour, worst lve ever tasted, 10 peas,wouldn't normally count but so few it was easy to see at a glance,chips frozen not fresh not what l expected and sent it back,got refund.Hubby's haggis bites were edible he said.Staff didn't come back to ask if everything was ok,l had to distract him to tell him,l was offered something else but that was a no no.This was the only part off our coach trip off the Highlands that was a disappointment, wish l had checked reviews before going in.Avoid.

Parecía que necesitaba una buena limpieza y ponerse al día en la cocina con vajilla sucia apilada alrededor donde se prepara la comida. 2 estrellas como pescado y patatas fritas estaba casi bien.

Ristorante molto vicino alla partenza del battello. Proprietario molto gentile. Il servizio è stato veloce e le porzioni abbondanti. Un po’ caro, ma la zona è cara in genere. Fuori c’è forte odore di fritto ma all’interno non si sente. Hanno fatto un po’ i furbi perché abbiamo chiesto l’acqua del rubinetto ( in Scozia è gratuita, nessuno paga la bolletta dell’acqua, ed e anche molto buona) invece ci hanno portato una bottiglietta da mezzo litro. Nonostante avessimo preso anche altre bevande. Comunque abbiamo mangiato bene. Il caffè è pessimo, anche se la macchinetta sembra una di quelle buone. Consigliato per un pasto veloce.

I don't even know how to start... Place seems nice from the outside but as soon as we stepped in I got a bad feeling which I should have listened. Rude and unpleasant waiters, laughing at us for having asked a question. No customer service manners at all. We ordered fish and chips without peas due to an allergy. The waiter took note of it but food still came out with peas. Waiter was thinking to be funny with his jokes but he was only unpleasant. Food was poor and not tasty at all. Starving is a much better experience. The bill was overpriced compared to the menu.I would not suggest this place even to my worst enemy. Don't go there, please! These people don't deserve your money. Awful experience.

Not the most welcoming of staff. Basic, over priced food. My husband had fish and chips. A few, frozen chips and the whole plate sprinkled with ‘brown’ powder like stuff?? I had the roast chicken and chips and asked for it with just salad. I’m not sure it was roasted - perhaps deep fried, even so it was still very dry. Again, a few frozen chips, a bit of lettuce, carrot and peas. The food, with 2 teas was nearly £30 (I refused nearly £3.00 for a can of Diet Coke!!!). Inattentive waiter, who appeared quite sullen. Sorry, but wouldn’t visit again and wouldn’t recommend.

Stopped for lunch while on a tour and needed to get a quick wee bite. Ordered a chicken kabob and fish and chips. Pleasant to eat outside in beautiful surroundings. Food okay.

Excellent location, decor, menu and service although a shade high on price compared to what we are used to - but many of the Scottish tourist areas seem to follow suit!Can't fault anything at this restaurant and had a pleasant evening with a great view over the Loch and Lock.

We came here because it was crovdy and we thought we'll have a good meal. We ordered daily soup and beef burger. The soup was ok but it had to much flour in it. The burger was also ok, but nothing spetial. The prices are tooooo high for the quality. But the most terrible thing about this place is the service. Unplesent, dont't even say enjoy your meal, nothing... Such a beautiful city, but such a bad restaurant.

Cuando llegas al Lago Ness y te haces las fotitos de turno y no ves al monstruo ni nada jajaj Pues seguro que estás cansado, muerto de hambre y tienes que ir al servicio, sobre todo si has salido de Edinburgo y te has chupado casi 4 horas de carretera...Pues esto es un oasis, es una pizzería- hamburguería básicamente que te soluciona el problema pues está justo en el camino al lago. Cominos alitas de pollo, nuggets y algo más con unas cervezas y listo, tampoco hay que esperar más del sitio pero desde luego lo mejor para la ocasión

Visited here on a late Monday afternoon. After reading the menus outside of local pubs and restaurants and finding nothing to appeal to my partner, he spotted this cafe/casual restaurant across the loch (it’s situated on the loch) as the signs above the window screamed out - kebab, burger, paster, pizza, fish and chips so he knew there’s be something he liked (they also did haggis).Friendly welcome, basic design inside, nice atmosphere. Menu was reasonable and comparable in the area. Lots of choice. I settled for shish kebab and my partner the chicken kebab (13.95 and 12.95). Ordered two pints of lager - not sure of cost as partner paid. Unfortunately there’d been a mix up in the kitchen so we were served two chicken kebabs. Waiter apologised profusely and told us to keep the chicken one and he’d send out a shish kebab within ten minutes! Despite the portion sizes been on the large side, my partner devoured the extra chicken kebab meat. Shish kebab arrived as informed. All three meals were delicious! However, the chilli sauce was a bit like cold heinz tomato soup with a bit of chilli powder in so might not be to everyone’s taste. Will definitely be back again if in the area.

Auf einen schnellen Kaffee mal draußen sitzen. ..das Schild Efes entdecken-türkisches Bier in Schottland, schnell kam man ins Gespräch, freundlich, wie selbstverständlich gingen wir am Abend zum Essen, sehr lecker,alle 6 Gerichte, es war eine herzliche Atmosphäre, so dass wir am nächsten Tag wieder hingingen...wir haben ganz besonders eine türkische Gastfreundschaft erfahren!

Not the best place. It was open late and needed to get something for the kids. The pizza was not great nor the sandwiches. It was ll we had to choose from. Find a better place if possible.

Great location. Very large portions. Quick service. The attempts to drown out the canal bagpiper with piped music can be a bit jarring. Very friendly staff.

Stopped here yesterday for drinks 🤦🏻‍♀️ just awful , filthy toilets , staff were so rude we quickly finished & moved on. I would not recommend it here 🤢

Just confirming the bad reviews, it started raining, it was the nearest place, toilets awful, forced into joining tables with another family without even being asked! Macaroni awful, just grim

A good menu catering for all tastes, chicken shish kebab was nicely marinated and cooked perfectly, the seafood pasta I'm told was very tasty. Staff were welcoming and friendly.

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Wir konnten draußen sitzen mit Blick auf den Caledonian Canal und den Dudelsackspieler. Empfehlenswert!

We stopped in today for a quick lunch and it was delicious!! We had the diner kabob and haggis baked potato. Everything was perfect. It was so good we wish we could go back but it was just a stop on our tour.

What a trap. With few options open we had to go to the Moorings. Never came back. There are some many better options around.

Go somewhere else, anywhere else. We were one of only three tables and yet it was too much for them. Our garlic bread was cold on the bottom, the roll that came with what seemed like canned soup was semi burnt on the outside and almost frozen on the inside. The chicken sandwich was two slices of white bread, a quarter cup of mayo and some unseasoned chicken. The pizza was bad frozen pizza. The only edible food was the fish and chips and I do mean edible, not good. I am pretty sure they don't care that their food sucks. They must think that as tourists we are not going to give them repeat business anyway, so why bother? It shows in their food and their service.

For some reason I didn't check the reviews here, oh goodness what a mistake. We just wanted a light lunch, my wife's was really light as she had the lentil soup and after one spoonful couldn't eat any more. My ham sandwich was limp white bread served with a little bit of lettuce on the side, the worst sandwich I have had in years. Then we used the toilets prior to leaving and wished we hadn't as they were frankly awful. The waiter took the virtually untouched soup back without comment and we formed the impression that really there was no concern about any standards. It presumably continues to exist because of the number of tourists passing through Fort Augustus who like us didn't do their homework first.

Walk in to find insects everywhere cutlery dirty and table clothes dirty to. Very over priced and giving us the opposite of what we ordered. Definitely wouldn't recommend

Looked promising but they did not have the wine we wanted so had to choose a more expensive option. Chose moussaka main as the owners were apparently Turkish but it was off the menu so opted for gammon and chips. Ended up paying £100 for 4 people for not what we wanted and 2 expensive bottles of wine. They were sarcastic when we did not leave a tip!

Had very poor experience, was charged £6 for a small slice of cake to takeaway. When I requested a refund due to the price we were refused, stating they could not perform refunds on the 'type of till' and therefore would not consider a refund of any sort. The carrot cake was put in the microwave so the cream icing melted and it was covered in a weird caramel sauce - not worth £1 let alone £6!! Along with £5 for a cheesy chips rip off and unprofessional doesn't begin to cover it!!

I tried my first huggis there,very nice and tasty. Loved the customer service, very friendly. Coffee was nice too.

Comemos fish and chips e frango assado! Ambos muito gostosos. Tem um menu take away com preços muito bons (optamos por ele pq não tínhamos muito tempo), sendo possível comer nas mesas externas do estabelecimento! Fomos atendidos por um senhor, que parecia ser o dono ou gerente muito educado e cordial, principalmente depois que falamos que éramos brasileiros. O funcionário do caixa também foi muito simpático. Recomendo!!!

Very friendly staff really nice big meals and also really nice tea we was very happy we recommend everybody

We enjoyed our lunch and this cafe, and felt that the staff here was more welcoming than at any other place in Fort Augustus. Unfortunately there weren’t a lot of choices for gluten free, but my lentil soup was delicious, and they were happy to sub crisps for the standard roll.

Wilted salad on a burger, lettuce, cucumber, coleslaw I don't think so. Staff were very pleasant though

New management, much better service, friendly, helpful and still the food was great, and plenty of it.

Over priced over cooked, gammon steak like leather egg on top well over cooked better of staying in and cooking for yourselves.

Group of four of us. We got a pizza, Chicken pie, roasted Chicken, and dinar kebab. Everything was very tasty and the service was good. We would definitely come back. Wr even had leftovers! The only thing we could say would be better is a larger selection of ciders and lower the temperature; it was VERY toasty and balmy inside.

The service and staff in The Moorings were good but sadly the chips which are the main product on the menu were poor.

We arrived here a few nights ago having failed to eat in the Lock, which hadn’t honoured our booking. They made room for eight of us and a baby and made us feel thoroughly welcome, including the baby. The service was warm and friendly. So much so that we returned to this restaurant as we passed through Fort Augustus on our way back along the canal. The food is in no way a la carte but it’s good and honest and reasonably priced. No complaints from my family and friends or me. If we return to Fort Augustus again, we shall make this our place to go. The chicken kebab and rice I had today was delicious.

I had a dinner at this place at order the roasted chicken from the mains. It was nicely prepared and was really heavy serving for a guy like me with no so grt appetite. Overall the place was good and staff was also courteous. Locaiton was just next to cananl which is also a good view from your table.

If you see a good review for the Moorings look carefully at the details because most were left by mistake by people who think they are leaving a review for the Moorings in Fort William which is actually very nice, but this is like a dump at the bottom of the pan. I avoid the food here after being given bad chicken and mouldy blue spotted pitta bread and suffering from awful sickness shortly afterwards.Unfortunately I had to meet someone here recently but the grim faced miserable manager looked annoyed to have a customer come through the door so we left and went elsewhere.In my opinion this is the most grubby place in Fort Augustus, even the public toilets are cleaner. Sure they have clean white table cloths but head to the toilets and you will see that cleaning is not on the list of things to do for the all male team who work here. I understand that toilet cleaning is considered a woman's job by these men. I have to wonder if they even wash their own hands at all.The ONLY nice thing is the view. I strongly advise you to walk past this place and find somewhere safe to eat. Festering Crock worth walking 500 miles to avoid.

Came here for breakfast with family, it was lovely no complaints from any of us, 3 of us had the small breakfast which was sausage, bacon, beans, fried egg, hash browns and my husband had toast ( he’s not a breakfast person) good value for money.

Заказали макароны с сыром, бургер и fish&chips. Бургер был более менее нормальный. Макароны были разварены практически в кашу, а рыба с картошкой была самой невкусной за все наше путешествие по Англии и Шотландии!!Никому не рекомендую.

We were able to sit outside and enjoyed a good pot of tea and some chips. The service was very good....friendly and efficient. The toilets were in need of a little attention, but there was soap, hot water and a drier.

Last Christmas time we ordered food from this place and on returning to our holiday cottage found re-heated chips and soggy food. A great disappointment. Today we were passing by (definitely no eating there) and found several tourists who were eating in their outside area giving bread to ducks and ducklings. It is well known that bread is a killer to these birds, I asked to people to stop and they apologised and did stop. When I went in and asked the owner if he would put a couple of signs up asking people not to feed the duck bread he just said it was the Council's problem! When I pleaded with him to put signs up he shrugged and said "I do look after them" I said again for him to put signs up on his property and not wait for the Council to do so he shrugged again. A terrible attitude and an indication of how much he cares about his environment.

Just been to this Restaurant for breakfast wow amazing. Don't be put off by the fish and chip sign it does everything here. Good quality food at good prices. Very friendly Staff Will definitely be back.

Piso de la pared de la puerta del baño del inodoro infernal sucio. Oliendo por completo la papelera no podía ir allí. Muy caro. Cuando se quejó, le dijeron que había más de 200 personas hoy, ¡pero era muy obvio que el inodoro no había sido limpiado por algún tiempo! !Evitar

Parecía ocupado desde dentro, así que pensé por qué no intentarlo. La comida no valía lo que pagas, el lugar podría hacer con un refrescante. Mientras comíamos fuera, el chef o el limpiador salieron y vaciaron todos los recipientes que estaban frente a nosotros y eran amables con todos. Los modales no cuestan nada. No recomendaría

Ci siamo fermati per uno spuntino dato che stavamo visitando il lago di Lochness.... misterioso e affascinante....abbiamo preso due insalate...una zuppa...un piatto misto di pesce....il tutto senza infamia e senza lode......da dove vengo io il cibo e sacro ed e una cultura.....da cui qui abbiamo molta lontananza

We were looking for somewhere to grab a bite and everywhere else seemed to be closed, so we ended up here. Staff were friendly and the place is quite casual and relaxed. Food is simple but good, and reasonably priced.

Visiting here with a family of three people .We came in not even greeted by a unhappy old man as our waiter .He was unsure of what he was doing left menus ,other families came in and were of white origin , he then waited on them taking their order and giving them lots of attention . While my husband and I were still waiting to give our order .We managed to get his attention too placed an order of a mixed kebab . I asked a question about the burger of it was halal and he was very rude about not giving any guarantees. Which is fine stillPlaced an order with drinks tea and food or once did he say thanks or smile just picked up the menus and left .It’s unfortunate this was the first night and first restaurant and what a poor choice . I won’tBe coming back and talking to tbe waiter or asking any questions is pointless.

Since this “restaurant” was located near the Lock Ness ferry deck, as many other tourists, we went inside... The only positive note was the fast service, but that was the worst food we had in Great Britain so far, tasteless fish, cold service, extremely expensive considering the dishes we ordered. I think the only reason this place is still open is that it catches new tourists every time, but I’m afraid it damages the reputation of the entire Fort Augustus tourist industry.

Während unserer unseres mehrtägigen Zwischenstopps am Loch Ness, haben wir hier des öfteren zu Abendessen gegessen oder uns etwas "to go" mitgenommen.Die Bedienung, dem Anschein nach der Besitzer, war freundlich und schnell auf den Beinen. Bevor wir unsere bestellten Gerichte bekamen, wurde uns noch ein kleiner Appetizer in Form von Baguettebrot mit verschiedenen Saucen gereicht. Sehr lecker!! Das eigentliche Essen inkl. Vorspeise war lecker und von der Menge her in Ordnung. Wenn man bedenkt wie die anderen Restaurants in Fort Augustus ihre Preise kalkulieren, dann ist man hier gut aufgehoben da man gutes Essen zum bezahlbaren Preis bekommt. Zu empfehlen sind übrigens die Baked potatoes mit Bohnen die sich hervorragen an den Parkbänken des Loch Ness verzehren lassen :-)

Stopped here for lunch after a trip on Loch Ness. A very new facility in the village. Lunch was good and the staff were efficient and pleasant. Pity the men's toilet was not working

Called in for a snack but nothing really appealed to us but felt a bit awful leaving as the member of staff was very pleasant .Plastic table clothes not my thing I am afraid . Toilets were not much better as the rest of the place a bit smelly I had carrot cake it came warmed up with squirty cream never had warm carrot cake before I have now !My husband had apple pie and cream which was warm but that’s fine Nice view out of the windows which was this place saving grace There is a new place with takeaway shop cafe in the back which we missed saw the gab and go sign and kept walking as we wanted to sit down and came here .

Charged almost £7 for a Bounty ,Mars Bar and a pot of tea for two despite the fact that my friend asked for Earl Grey tea separately

Ci siamo fermati in questo posto per pranzo quando eravamo in visita al Lago di Lochness. Non avevamo molto tempo a disposizione, dato che avevamo prenotato la visita in battello, ma sono stati davvero rapidi e siamo riusciti a finire in tempo. Cibo buono e prezzi ottimi. Menzione speciale per il proprietario che è stato davvero gentile. Consigliato a chi ha poco tempo a disposizione per un pranzo rapido e semplice.

Wurden schon etwas unfreundlich empfangen zum Glück hatten wir nur Getränke bestellt unfreundliche und misstrauische Bedienung haben unsere Getränke draußen genossen und fühlten uns ständig beobachtet.

I think I’d find it hard to find anywhere that is worse than here. The scones were very dry, the place was very dirty and the rudeness from the staff was something to be witnessed. My suggestion, move along.

Alvorens een boottocht op Loch Ness even nog wat eten.De bediening was snel aan tafel. Van te voren gevraagd of het eten nog voor de bootocht te nuttigen was. Dat was er redelijk snel binnen 8 minuten. Lekker, gaar, en netjes geserveerd. Ik weet niet wat andere bezoekers er hier niet goed vonden. Als iemand iets bijzonders wil moet men niet naar een kebab restaurant gaan en een hoteldiner verwachten. Ik heb er goed gegeten en ben best wat gewend!!

Went for dinner in the Moorings, food not bad not very friendly or helpful staff, and the price for what you receive is rather expensive. They charge hotel prices in chip shop standard establshment

After reading the reviews i thought twice about eating here, but after asking a local lady where I could get a good kebab and her recommending Moorings I changed my mind and ordered a chicken kebab. I was not disappointed....my chicken was perfectly cooked and the whole kebab was one of the best I’ve ever had, the chips i ordered on the side were very good too!! Later that same evening my children asked if they could have a pizza, so off I went and ordered one from here...they loved it, And are already talking about which pizza to try tomorrow! Its looking likely to be my sons birthday meal choice on Sunday too!! He staff are very friendly too. I would definately recommend this place when on the area.
