Service Marvellous. At the bar, alot people were arriving the lady managed well until reinforcement arrived. Clean & tidy. Was able to get a booth after a while, table needed cleaning and clearing as we jumper into booth before the seats were cool. So we cleaned ourselves.

The usual good selection of food and drink on a JD Wetherspoons menu. All reasonably priced.

Decent standard spoons pub. Very popular with food and drink options.

Typical spoons. It was a bank holiday so it was very busy Food was good. Drinks are cheap so can't complain.

Avoid this place! The worst management I have ever seen!

Avoid this. Korean chicken burger. Just two small pieces of chicken size of children’s meal.

Bar wait was a bit long, seating at a premium but nice food, quick and good service from the team due for food delivery, and nice and polite, friendly staff.

Visited Moon on the Hill 18/02/24 for lunch choosing battered cod, chips & mushy peas with pint of San Miguel. Whilst food arrived hot, unfortunately drinks arrived after; these should have been served beforehand. All was good & staff pleasant as venue was very busy with customers coming & going. Only criticism; tables felt sticky to touch & it's not the first time I've eaten here to find the tables haven't been wiped properly. Visited Moon on the Hill with relative & went to rear end of pub where there's an outside beer garden. Enjoyed a Vindaloo which was extremely hot but full of flavour. Staff pleasant & professional. Visited 9/10/22 & had chicken breast in batter served with sticky soy sauce, coleslaw & a choice of spicy rice or chips, all of which was served quite soon after ordering. Truly enjoyed it & highly recommend. Visited 23/04/22 for a drink with family member. Bar assistant really friendly. Found table easily despite being quite busy. Paid tapping card on device. (Pub has an upper level towards rear with several booths for family/friend groups, along with doors leading to a beer garden; outside seating also available at front of pub. Toilets also on upper level on right-hand side. Hot & cold snacks & meals available. Part of Weatherspoons group.

The staff wouldn’t serve me for no reason we had done nothing wrong she said whoever you’re buying for we can’t serve you. The staff are rude and if they want my business, they’re not having it ever again just be careful. Wetherspoons in Sutton has really changed. The service is really bad plus they don’t clear the tables, cups and plates it was all a mess yesterday

Lovely pub! One can have a pint here with the full English breakfast at 9.00 in the morning, amazing! Beer prices are reasonable, polite staff, old folks nursing their drinks.. Might see some Chinese tourist enjoying the traditional English breakfast

Went for breakfast on Sunday. Arrived around 9am and the place was fairly empty but smelled lovely and clean. It was lovely and peaceful with no TVs or music. Just the sound of the air conditioning. I had the traditional breakfast with unlimited tea. Came to £6.50 and I ordered from my table with the app. Within minutes a friendly waiter brought me a mug and 5 minutes later my breakfast was on the table. Everything was very nice. Crisp hash browns, perfectly cooked sausage, bacon with some nice charring and a pot of beans. Eggs had lovely runny yolks. My only slight gripe was the toast was a tad cold and soggy. Could have done with a minute more on the grill but I like that the butter is served separately, in this Anchor butter. I don't like pre-buttered toast so this was a nice addition. It's a shame as the bread is a really nice bloomer. The tea is Tetley and perfectly nice. I had 4 cups. Sadly the peaceful atmosphere was shattered by a group of about 10 people who came rolling in shouting and swearing. I suspect they had not been to sleep as yet and were smashing down beer and wine at 930am. Sadly, that's Wetherspoons for you. I can't fault the food or service though which were excellent and for £6.50, you'd be hard pressed to find better value anywhere.

Have been going here for many years. This time my spicy wings were different and sauces had changed. Didn't like them as much.

Nice staff, nice pub but the food is terrible. Lemon and herb chicken; texture great but horrible taste. Breakfast is worse. Eggs are gross and the mushrooms are so dry and greasy.

Great place for reasonable quality food for extremely reasonable prices. What's not to like. My daughter and i had set meals with drinks for under£7 each, jacket potato with 3 beans salad . Was good. Quantity was enough for me ( Ihave small appetite), but may be on the small side for an average person. My grand daughter had a small portion of spaghetti with chips and poppadoms 😁 😂. Paid £23 for three of us. Definitely visit again. Service is fast n good

This place and chain has lost it. They serve online orders worst than 3rd world countries pubs. Whiskey in tea glasses, cocktails in water glasses. I mean being reasonably priced doesn’t mean total degrade on other things. Have to find another spot now. Thanks JDW.

Moon on the hill is the best drink, good place to have fun and celebrate with friends

Food ordered for four people. All arrived piping hot within 15 minutes. Nice atmosphere with pleasant staff.

Exactly what you'd expect from Wetherspoons. Great selection of beers, though. Nice little smoking area out the back. Bar staff are very friendly and quick to serve.

I visited this weatherspoons on Saturday 30th April 2022 This pub was of pleasent surroundings and had hand pumped ales on BUT ALL BEERS ON WERE OF A STRONG VARIETY Also, the gentleman behind the bar was a decent guy but a bit rough around the edges when in converse with people Could doo better Saturday 28th October 2023 We again visited this Weatherspoons today Since our last visit this pub has improved in many aspects from staff to the range and quality of its real ales on offer today i did not eat in this pub but the friendliness of staff quality and range of its guest real ales were superb Well done, all involved.

Love this place I have to say my only concern is the quality of food is not as good in terms of preparation and presentation and appearance as the Wallington Whispering Moon where not only is the food cooked better but presentation is preferable

A solid Spoons. I must admit Sutton town centre isn’t too inspiring so just a cheap watering hole is much obliged. Ordering from the app I tried to make the most of three thirds of ale as part of the ale festival. One wasn’t available so it was duly replaced. You can’t knock three ale samplers for circa £2.50. The price vs quality was ideal. Nothing salubrious, but you don’t need it to be.

Any pub is likely to be pretty sad on a Sunday morning and this was true to Sutton form. Sticky tables, almost exclusively middle aged + men drinking pints at 10 in the morning but the breakfast was actually pretty decent

Very busy, perhaps one of the older Spoons. Pleasant hardworking young staff. Outdoor tables and chairs. Had excellent eggs benedict there, delicious. Sits opposite All Bar One pub.

I visited on a Friday night to catch up with a local friend. Service from the App was OK and reasonably quick. It was a busy Friday night and didn't expect the place to myself but with covid would have expected better from staff particularly the obnoxious, rude and so in love with himself supersize door staff., My friend was kept waiting for 15 mins despite her telling him I already had a table. He kept patrolling the pub, a good thing except the "bad guys" were just ignored whilst he bigged himself up to his mates!! A couple of very unpleasant incidences were witnessed with no action taken. Gents toilets were filthy and sick laden by 2100. We left early NEVER to return. Every bodies money is just as good as mine but if you're going to have a large student population, try and maintain some basic standards. Wetherspoons greed!!

Using the Wetherspoons ordering app - I ordered a pint of Fosters.It arrived at my table nearly 25 minutes later. Other customers had a similar wait.Sadly the same app is unable to accept a request for a small dash of mixer, with a spirit.You end up with the spirit glass topped to the brim, mostly with mixer.Ice or slice - has no yes/no option either. Not good enough.

I was pleasantly surprised at this Wetherspoons, after leaving a local harvester restaurant that I was not impressed with, I decided to go to moon on the hill. The staff were relaxed, friendly and attentive, and the food, even though cheap was well presented and tasty

Visited during the Eat out to help out government scheme. Busy inside but they had social distancing measures in place, sanitiser and track and trace forms. Waited 15 mins for mains - large fish & chips and the new signature steak dish. Tasty but the fish portion seemed to be the small one rather than large I ordered! Also ordered warm brownie + ice cream and Bramley apple crumble + ice cream. Would visit again.

I've been visiting this Wetherspoons for 3 years. I queued for a table at 5.30pm on Saturday 1st August. I was enjoying my 3rd drink, doing a crossword, when at 7.15pm a young tall Security guy with his Colleague, demanded that I move from my table for others to sit, and began harassing me by threatening that I would thrown out of the pub if I didn't! I declined but did move eventually after more threatening demands. Two young girls with a drink, took my table, and I complained to the duty manageress, who apologised. But it was too late, I ended sitting on the end of a bench seat with unknown people, no table and with my drink on the seat!Needless to say I didn't stay for another drink, and feel that it is totally unacceptable to be treated threateningly in this way in a democracy. There are no signs indicating time limits or seating priorities, and I take great exception to be treated as if I was in the wrong, and be harassed and bullied in this way. This extremely unpleasant and threatening experience, completely ruined my Saturday. Allowing contracted security staff to harass customers in this way has altered my opinion of Wetherspoons forever!

Had breakfast here as per all spoons it was nice food at a decent price. The staff were nice my complaint though is the app, food and drinks never arrive together surely it cant be that hard otherwise ok

We requested a table booking for 16 people in an area of the pub to celebrate our Nephews birthday and every thing we asked was catered for. Excellent organisation and food. Thank you very much Johnny and the team for great service, we were all very well looked after. Everything was executed with ease with no stress to myself or the rest of the party. Many thanks to the young lady too who took my booking the day before and requested our menus on the morning of the booking so that meals could be organised before we arrived. Excellent service and value for money. Thank you all very much for a very enjoyable evening.

Lovely environment and staff. But the manager Jonathan rude and unprofessional don’t know how to deal with customers. We are regulars and never seen such unprofessional manager who smirks and rude.

Fish & Chips Awesome whenever we eat the fish & chips her always get a huge piece of Fish.Some of the other dishes are OK .I would not recommend the curry about 2 years ago i had one ended up in local hospital for 5 hours With Food Poisoning .but we stiill go .Stay away from the curry.

We belong to a sports and social club - Sutton Evergreens and a group of us go to this wetherspoons on the first Friday each month. The food is very good and service is also good - very reasonable and exceptional

Good service - lots of till points so you get served. Interesting choice of craft ciders as well - don't often get pearmania in spoons! Nice decor as well and friendly.

We had a few drinks here before setting off to Finnigans for fish and chips. Good lagers and unlimited refill of tea made us stay a bit longer. We saw our neighbour tables having good lunch and felt quite mouthwatering. But we opted for fish and chips so may be next time we'll try their lunch. The place was decorated nicely with a touch of classic and it's quite spacious that we sat comfortably with our chairs moving around without touching other tables. I will come for lunch next time when we visit Sutton again.

A typical Wetherspoons ,another lovely structure saved from the demolition squad and planners, complete with its usual eclectic mix of customers.A wide range of real ales at bargain prices ,good place for a quick drink and meal.

Went here for lunch with my children and friends. Myself and my friend booked our food at the same time however mine came out about 10 minutes before hers which annoyed the kids. However when it came out it was nice worth the price. Staff were friendly. Would go back again for a quick bite

Family drinks! Needed more selection on spirits, it was Bit dark inside and the no music was very dull. Good place for a cheap drink but that's about it.

6 of us went out for an Easter Sunday for a drink it was a sunny day but quite in the pubs probably due to people being away..we went to all bar one and our husbands were opposite

Honest family food with good sized portions. 'Specials' of currys, steaks, chicken and fish and chips on certain days. drinks prices are outstanding. Fast service in a very comfortable pub.

Called in for a beer at lunchtime and they had a decent range of craft beers one of which was local. Food looked like all Wetherspoons and was popular as ever and looked decent enough

Thought I would Download the app just to see what all the hype was about. However I placed my order via the app and waited 10mins then my drinks arrived ! I was just about to go to the bar ( which at the time wasn’t busy) when your staff member Molly who came over with our drinks. I explained to Molly that it was my first time using the app and I felt a little disheartened they took so long to arrive at the table. However can I just say to the Manager. You have employed a little diamond working for you, I’ve sat and watched Molly clear tables & at all times she has a smile on her face and is extremely pleasant, courteous and very professionally, I’ve spoken with Molly as to what I was going to do. Some Customers are quick to complain But not quick to compliment. Please pass our compliments onto Molly, as sometimes it’s worth it’s weight in Gold in simple plain English when it comes from the “higher heirchy”

I tried the pizza they have a few and you can add toppings,very tasty as always drinks reasonably priced.

The staff are wonderful, especially the boys. My chicken bites are always delivered on time! The pizza was yummy and we always get clean cutlery! The tables are always clean, and the staff let us use their cleaning products for fun :)

We’ve been coming here for a solid month now and love the staff. Very friendly, shout out to Jacob, Ryan, Dan and Harry. Excellent chicken. Always happy to clean our table when asked and happy to give us their cleaning spray so we can do it ourselves. He pre warned us when the spray was too hot so we didn’t burn our little fingers. Pizza was amazing too. Have had some excellent times in this place and made some wonderful friends.

I love to eat and drink here and my and my partner had a really lovely time. Friendly chatty staff, cheap prices, big portion sizes for food and very tasty. Love the variety of drinks and food. We always come back and every time it is just as great

This is a great restaurant, with a varied menu, the steak they serve Is scrumptious. I highly recommend this restaurant. (Closed at the moment for refurb)

I go 2 or 3 times a month mostly, mainly with my mum when she comes to meet me, sometimes with my fiancé.

Despite booking in advance and informing the staff that 2 Autistic classes were coming for our Christmas lunch they did not prepare for us coming today! When we arrived we had to move the tables together with the help of customers and then the tables were dirty and we had to move the empty glasses from our tables. The students had chosen their meals according to the menus 2 weeks ago and when we went to order they informed us that the pizza ovens were not operational!!! The menus we had in advance stated freshly made pizza. This caused a lot of distress and anxiety for two of our students. One of the glasses was chipped and this is a health and safety issue for both students and staff. Very disappointing experience for our students and staff.

A busy Sunday evening. Sat in the lower level as they were going to have quiz night in the upper level at 8pm. Barman was very helpful. Took order and applied the various deals and came to wipe our table clean. IT is very good value but you must remember it's not a five star restaurant.

The main reason I like Wetherspoons is the real cider that they sell. Sadly this pub does not take it seriously. While the Assembly Rooms in Epsom always has a choice of real ciders, with four available at festival times, the Moon On The Hill only ever has one, even at festival times, so that when, as recently, that one is a joke cider (toffee apple) it stays on the shelf for weeks, as no one drinks it. Then when they get a proper one (Black Dragon, Old Rosie or recently Broadoak Perry), it sells out in 48 hours. Please get the management here to take real cider seriously.

What can I say? Ordered a couple of steak meals with side order of corn on the cob - menu says two mini corns, only one arrived. Wine glasses stained with lipstick.

I have visited this place a few times, I was introduced to it by a work mate who said the food was dirt cheap and the drinks were too.

I went in this pub today to have a bit of lunch with a friend to have a catch up. I order 6 starts and a main. When my food come I had to take the main back which was cottage pie that come out new today on the menu. When I tasted it the food was stone cold and the peas was hard and cold. All the other food looked like it was re cooked or heated up it wasn’t fresh food.

Been to this pub couple of times since our pub down the road shut.

A pretty average wetherspoons pub. Not my favourite at all...the food is a bit hit and miss and the atmosphere not great. Takes ages to get served and they often run out of things. ..been to several wetherspoons but this not one of my favourite. Too big aswell...bit downmarket for my taste

The Moon on the Hill is a very generic Wetherspoons, especially for south London. The drinks are cheap, there is plenty of space but it's otherwise a non-remarkable pub. The decor is dated too meaning this is only a good choice if your prioritise low cost over anything else.

Not a bad pub, decent choice of beers and food is as expected for a Wetherspoons pub but it’s certain staff that let it down time and time again. Constantly ask who’s next and then serve who shouts the loudest.

Defrosted avocados & chipped mugs - cheap but poor salads. The app is a good idea and the pub itself is clean.

As with all Weatherspoons pubs, the ambience and value for money is very good. My partner had an excellent burger and I had a half chicken, washed down by very inexpensive and good drinks. The selection of real ales is always good and they are very competitively priced at £2.39 per pint.

This was the htird pub we visited in Sutton and I am delighted to report that it was the first been we had which was palatable. Having said that it was not a good pint just very ordinary. I am never sure why beers elsewhere always taste better than those served in Wetherspoons.......is it different to make it cheaper to buy, I would love to know.
