Costa Coffee in Sutton

Why oh why are they still allowing outside to smokers!! Ashtrays everywhere ....noway can non smokers sit outside !! Come on Costa Coffee review this. Why are you allowing this ... being on the side of smokers is not on nowadays........disgusting .....

Coffee is too hot, and they do not have variety of pastries or cake. Croissant are already gone in early morning

Wanted one take out coffee. Batista foreign woman beginning with d, was making the coffee. Never had slower service in all my life, 20 minutes for a latte, whilst she explain how she is not doing procedures to costas rules and regulations to other customers. Finally got my coffee would of asked for re fund but paid with voucher, cold , had to re heat at work. Re think your staff

I was very disappointed in the service and level of hygiene at Cota Coffee in Sutton, there were discarded sandwich wrappers on the floor along with wooden spoons and empty sugar sachets and the tables hadn't been cleaned properly. I ordered a hot sandwich which took a long time before it was ready, they said they would let me know when it was ready but forgot so it was left on the serving table and was cold, there were three girls working so not short of staff I therefore expected a far better service especially for the price.

We popped in to have some hot drinks and cakes. The selection available was good and the staff were welcoming despite there being a bit of a queue. I was not impressed with the cleanliness of the cutlery, which is normally impeccable and did find it off putting to say the least.

Good costa with very friendly staff. I think their vegan food options lack compared to other costas I have been to.

Came to pay for sandwich and coffee told they accept cash but don't give change wanted to take £10 for a bacon sandwich and a coffee NO CHANGE

Place under new management has been transformed. Brilliant service and selection. This is now our place of choice for Sunday morning

I wanted to use the Vodafone free drink offer which I saw on the App before visiting the café but when I got there and was ready to redeem it, I could no longer find the offer. I then spent ages waiting on hold to speak to someone from Vodafone, but when I finally got through, the person was not really able to help. By this time the drink had been ordered, prepared and served, and the staff kindly did not charge me for it, even though I was unable to find the offer code on the App. Therefore I would give five stars to Costa Coffee but zero stars to Vodafone, especially since I am charged a lot for my mobile contract.

Limited staff, dirty tables, baristas that can’t make coffee. Cost off coffees £3.25. Only time they had sufficient stafff and cleanliness was when their manager did inspection. Poorly motivated staff with zero enthusiasm. Even regular staff can’t make barista standard coffee.

Toasted sandwich was only toasted on one side and was cold and uncut. The bread also tasted stale. The crisps were flavourlessand though in date, also tasted stale. Millionaires shortbread and the latte were lovely though. Shame as last time I ordered from here it was lovely, I won't be ordering from here again.

The staff here are so welcoming and make fabulous drinks. The atmosphere is so relaxed and happy. Will definitely be back.

It was my last visit at Costa Sutton. My previous experience was bad, but I decided to give it another go. My mistake. Place is disgusting, staff rude, latte had one colour and had some coffee granules at the bottom. Not what you expect from Costa. All tables were dirty and when I asked for a cloth so I could wipe my table I was rudely told someone will clean it. Lady that came to wipe it was even more rude and very irritated with my request. Please do not work if you don't feel like working with and for people.

Coffee was nice, however i ordered 1 large coffee - i got a large cup however it was only half full, disappointing considering i paid £7 for a drink

I almost broke my tooth when biting on the toastie, unfortunately the top was rock hard and the bottom wasn’t really toasted at all. The whole toastie went in the bin. The coffee was good though but that’s just standard.

I was today Saturday at Sutton costa café I bought 2 frappe at 14:12 and I was serving at 14:25 because the workers just forgot about my order … luckily I have my receipt..then this disrespectful woman Vanessa was so rude and very incompetent doesn’t not how to work in costumer service just shout at me and told me if wasn’t happy she just gave me a refund… check the cameras it was Saturday 9 of September 2022 at 14:25 Thanks

I live locally and visited Costa often, staff is friendly, and cappuccino of course nice! What a shame about the toilets! Filthy, dirty, smelly, and decor coming off the wall!. Toilet brush dirty with bits!...Lools like the holiday never gets a clean! Disgusting..I used because my incontinence but I shouldn't!

Food was missing, restaurant refuse calls so no way to check if was left by accident. Coffee sent with loose lid, causing some to spill.

Second time in costa Sutton. First time no caramel in the latte, not a massive issue but yesterday ordered a latte and an oat milk latte. Is was packed so taking orders and then wait. Both coffees tasted like milky water. Tables not cleared. To change £4 for a coffee that is like warm and frankly horrible is bad. I will stick to coffees at home with my coffee maker. Coffee is Costa in a tassimo but it tastes like coffee

Order wasn’t correct. Not easy to complain either.

I don’t normally write reviews but was very upset and disappointed with this Costa. The lady serving was rude and uninterested from the moment she took our order. The coffee I usually order was tepid so I requested it to be made warmer very politely : the lady proceeded to shout at me in front of a queue of customers about how I need to tell them beforehand to make my order hot and how she can’t re-use my drink as I have drunk it…. I had merely had a sip. She proceeded to repeat this two times loudly. I was very taken back and didn’t know what to say to her , but no human being should be made to feel small. The atmosphere of the Costa was otherwise very lovely but I feel due to her I won’t want to go back there.

On visiting most costa's who do take cash, I was told manager of this one doesn't accept cash. Would be a good idea if all followed same guidelines.

One of the worst Costa I’ve been to. The hot chocolate tasted like flavoured water, I don’t usually add sugar but had to just drink it. Ended up throwing half of it away. The cheese toastie was ok but definitely not worth the price. I’ve never gone to a Costa and felt disappointed until now. The customer service was the only good thing.

A pleasent branch of Costas with friendly staff. I would normally keep well clear of Costa's because of I've felt there standards dropping as a chain. Maybe this branch can be the light at the end of the tunnel.

Groups of builders/tradesmen getting drinks at 7 30am today , none wearing face masks !!! Staff not even challenging them, terrible. I asked them where their masks were and they just walked out with their drinks.

One of the best Costa coffee shops there is, continuously amazing coffee since opening. The place is well managed by Angela who takes great care of not only the customers and store but her staff as well. Best Costa I've visited over the years.

I'm hoping that the two Costa coffees in cheam are managed by the same company. They are both so warm and friendly. The staff in the mornings are always happy to see you and very attentive. They greet you with a smile and a warm hello. They are very chatty and like to know about there customers.

The lady in the grey shirt making the coffee actually rudely told me off for spilling coffee. I was flabbergasted. When I responded she ignored me. People like her are toxic for a business. I won’t return.

Don’t normally wander this far down Sutton High St but popped in this morning for a coffee which was good and staff were lovely; friendly and welcoming.

Nice friendly staff with great sense of humour.Even when busy they service with a smile.Hot chocolate with cream is banging.

Called into this Costa three times in the same week and the customer service was the same each time; polite and friendly. I was even welcomed back on my third visit.Good service and although busy I didn’t have to wait that long to be served.Nice to see staff that valued their customers!

Costa has a standard to keep and this one does it well. Clean, comfortable and good coffee; all as expected.

The worst Costa Coffee I've ever been. Using Costa only with wuntu vouchers, because I do not like Costa roast, but the handcraft was really terrible. It looked like "maestro baristas" didn't get any training. They do not have basics knowledge about steaming milk, the place was dirty, the coffee was disgusting...

I frequently stop here when I'm out on my site surveys. You cant really review the coffee can you, c'mon, its Costa coffee and the millions they make speaks for itself when it comes to good coffee. What I can review though is the excellent service you get. Even when you meet different staff they always seem happy to greet you and serve you. Can only be the result of great staff training I suppose.My favourite coffee stop who get it right each time.

Have just visited this branch to order my drink on a free voucher and was told the manager of this particular branch does not like this promotion and therefore the staff are told off when they are trying to use it. Official costa website lists this store as participating branch. Used to order my paid drinks here on regular basis - almost daily, will stop now.

I like costa as a name but unfortunately I wouldn’t say same for the staff as they seem to not care and they are rude.

Went in to get a morning coffee and got served by young lady who was pleasent which is what you need first thing in the morning. She was then spoken to terribly by an older lady who was making the drinks. It was very uncomfortable waiting for my drink , this older lady is making the atmosphere very bad here. Will go Greggs next time........

A nice, clean newish costa most staff fine yet the manager always seems unhappy, rude, poor customer service she was to member of staff in front of me who did fine & i told the manager this! she is advertising for staff again....i wonder why.....

Very poor. Got my order wrong. I took it back and was told it would be bought over. After waiting some time the rest of my family had finished their coffees I gave up and went and asked for a refund. My drink hadn't even been started let alone bought over. Won't be coming again. The server also informed us she had had a heavy night the night before so maybe being hungover didn't help.
