Service good, busy but lots of tables. Food as expected for a Wetherspoons. Toilets upstairs, very clean. Assessable toilet on ground level, needs personal key to unlock.

I don’t think the food is very good but the beer is very affordable and there’s a decent selection. Ample seating. The staff is fast and friendly.

Typical Wetherspoons, fish and chips was good anyway. Quite busy and noisy compared to some others but that’s to be expected in this area

Great food better price! They have a good variety of traditional english breakfast or something light and quick if needed. Small portion choices, vegetarian and vegan choices if needed. They've got something for everyone, children's options too!

Very nice place, in a historic building in the center of London.

Typical and very inexpensive brewery chain. The service is fast and efficient thanks to the ordering application. The only negative point is the lack of relationship with the servers. The food is ok and the drinks are very reasonably priced.

Always really busy, and hard to find a table

Good place quality price to see London

Typical cheap, miserly spoons. Staff are atrocious and rude. We were given the wrong food and the staff said we'd have to pay to get the correct food. Also given a pint of carling when I ordered a pint of pepsi. Bouncer was rude and condescending. Random club music blaring from speakers as well. The one spoons to play music and its terrible. Avoid as if your life depends on it.

Typical good value drinks and food in what was a great music venue in the late 60s. But very busy.

Typical Wetherspoons, so great value for money. Great selection of beers and spirits. The toilets are up quite a large flight of stairs, although they do have a disabled toilet on the ground floor.

Extremely busy pub in Central London. If the pub was twice as big with twice as many tables it still won't be enough. This wetherspoons is very popular. Food and drinks just what you would expect. Staff always clearing and tidying up and kept clean. Lifts available for disabled and wheelchair access.

Very large Wetherspoons spanning one block. This location used to be a famous nightclub that hosted many famous faces. Excellent value food and drinks for this central location. Excellent for a stop of when going between Covent Garden and Soho. Also great for pre and post theatre. Close to both Tottenham Court Road and Leicester Square stations.

Went on the Friday before the Newcastle League Cup final match, the outside makes it look quite a small place, however it was huge inside. It was also the cheapest place for pints of larger in the area we were in. We had a couple of pints each, service was excellent but with EVERY Weatherspoons the toilets were a million miles away. Would recommend.

Esto fue seleccionado por mi amigo. He estado en unas cuantas cucharas en mi tiempo y sé, aproximadamente, qué esperar. Me pareció que estaba limpio y un poco más espacioso que otros en los que he estado. Pedido en la aplicación como suelo hacer. Decepcionado de que no sirven Ruddles tan hecho para hacer con Doombar (más de £ 4 la pinta tan caro que otras cucharas). Tuvimos una charla y nos pusimos al día como si no nos hubiéramos visto durante unos 6 meses. Luego llegó el momento de pedir nuestras comidas. Ya se había decidido por salchichas, puré, guisantes y salsa. Comí mis 2 porciones habituales de bocados de pollo y una porción de papas fritas con salsa de curry. No pude evitar notar que no tienen bistec o parrilla mixta en el menú. Aunque ninguno de los dos quería una me sorprendió y suelen ser un básico de cualquier Cuchara. Era una forma agradable de pasar unas horas meneando la barbilla. El servicio fue rápido y eficiente. Despejaban mesas regularmente. Había una gran fiesta de niños mayores de la escuela que vinieron a almorzar y había bastantes avisos reservados en las mesas (también inusual para una cuchara). Ellos, obviamente pre-ordenados, fueron servidos rápidamente. Los baños estaban arriba (como de costumbre) y estaban limpios. En general una experiencia agradable.

Spoons used to be unexciting but reliable .. Good food , reasonably priced . Great beer , sold cheaply, and the background music at a sensible volume so you could still talk . The Montagu Pyke definitely bucks this trend . The noise was deafening, mainly customers shouting over the thumping background music ( at 5.30pm .. ). The beer was ok but unexceptional . The food was distinctly poor . A burger , still cold in the middle . Katsu curry that had a tasteless, light brown sauce and chicken nuggets . Udon noodles made with spaghetti ( definitely notUdon noodles ), a watered-down Oxo cube and a few chopped chillies for authenticity . The portion sizes are down compared to a few years ago , and the staff looked rushed It was all fairly cheap, and we got what we paid for because of it ...

This was a superb pub for drinking, with a stylish red and white interior! The lighting is pretty and Christmas decorations add a nice feel, counter is well presented too. I had a pint of Stowford Press that was fairly priced for London, cleanliness was consistent itself!

Lovely to find a spoons when in London. There are few things you can be sure of in life- but a cheap pint in the spoons is one of them. Cheap(er) but very cheerful 😊

Had a meal here before a theater show, food was excellent for the cost, 3 Mains with drinks £38.00, alongside a nice craft beer, what more could you want.

It's a weatherspoons. So set your expectations for that. The food is never great, but it fills the belly. Beers are inexpensive. Don't forget, this guy, the owner, supported brexit. From what I hear, be brexgrets about it.

One of the cheapest beers we have found in London. Well located, large premises. The food is not its strong point, but it delivers.

When you said all they brunch it means all day brunch. But if you order a slice bread dasn't came toasted and if you ask they said that they do only in the morning weird for a tradition english pub.

If you come here when it is not too busy you will get a superb meal and find the staff friendly and helpful. 14oz Aberdeen Angus steak and trimmings plus a drink for £11.95 on Tuesdays is unbeatable. Understandably it is a bit different when the place is packed out lunchtime and after 5.00 but we have never had a cause to complain when we eat here. Edit. The pub does not serve steaks anymore, 2024. Only burgers and chicken and English traditional favorites like fish and chips.

Always busy in here. Lucky too find a chair to sit in. I like this pub as it brings back good memories.

Recommended!! The food was very tasty, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was fine and relaxed. The prices are very affordable especially compared to other restaurants in the zone. I recommend it to como with friends and families, however, if you go with you family and don't want to sit in the high chairs you should make a reservation, otherwise you may not find any seats.

Perfect location for the best value food and drinks in London

It was all cheap and abundant. We ordered through the app (which I recommend installing) and it was cheap, 4 plates of fish and chips with a drink was £38, it was fast and everything was so abundant and delicious. The truth is that this Wetherspoon chain is very rich. I would always go to that chain if I go to London or anywhere in the UK as there is always somewhere. I do not recommend translating the page since I translated it and without realizing it I ordered the dish without beans.

I was here today at 11.55 and ordered food. At 12.45 I went to the bar to inquire where the food was as I had not received it. A waitress then arrived with my food and gave it to a different table - who had not ordered it! When I stopped her and asked where my food was she said she was sorry but she had given it to the wrong table and she would re order it but there was a long queue and we would be at the end of it 🤬 I then asked for a refund which was given. Definitely WONT be back here! 🤬🤬 and we have been coming here for breakfast for 15+ years when in London! Table 97 fyi

Visited here for food with my family on Saturday 22nd of February. Ordered with my family and my dad’s breakfast arrived pretty quickly. My dad had then finished his meal and his plate was then offered to be collected. I then enquired where our food was and then girl working looked confused and said she would check. 10 minutes later a different member of staff came and told us there was an issue with the kitchen and they are only starting the meal. I cannot understand how they had 3 meals for one table and only brought one 1 meal. I asked for a refund which was granted but very bad experience. If a table order food together, it should be brought out together.

We were very close to our hotel and as we passed by we decided to go in and order the typical English breakfast. The drink is refill. As it was early there were not many people and we were served quickly. You must first order and pay at the cashier.

Estaba viendo a un viejo amigo para tomar unas copas y un almuerzo ligero en la ciudad a principios de semana, así que sugerí el Montagu Pyke; esto funcionó muy bien, porque ya había planeado visitar Foyle's (al lado) ! A diferencia de algunos de los otros críticos, ninguno de los dos tuvimos una larga espera en el bar para ser atendidos, ni tuvimos demasiadas dificultades para sentarse (a pesar de que el pub estaba ocupado). Conseguí encontrar una cerveza invitada que me gustaba, que todavía era ligeramente más barato que la pinta promedio en los suburbios, y mi amigo tenía varias opciones no alcohólicas disponibles para él durante nuestra visita (había estado en una reunión escolar la noche anterior, y estaba luciendo una ligera resaca!). Y sobre la comida: ya estaban agotados de algunos artículos para el brunch vegetariano de todo el día, así que me decidí por panaderos de verduras y puré en su lugar; recordaba a una cena escolar, que no fue del todo inesperada. La única diferencia importante entre un 'Spoon's en el centro de Londres y uno local en los suburbios es la clientela: teníamos a la Familia Chav Robinson sentada cerca de nosotros en un momento, pero lograron ser meramente ruidosos, y no perturbadores activamente. They claimed my photo ID is invalid and took away my drink. Also got warned 3 times that I cannot drink alcohol and threatened me that they will be watching me on CCTV. WHAT A CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM!

It's a dangerous place. You may have your bag or mobile phone stolen. Ours was stolen.

We have been to a few Wethespoons & always have the scampi & chips with mushy peas meal. On this occasion at the Montagu Pyke, it was the worst we've ever had. The meal was just warm & didn't taste fresh. The place itself was chilly, so we ate we our coats still on. We would return if we come to London again.

The beer is cheap only because they don’t turn the heating on. Colder than a ski chalet off season. Your toes will be frozen.

Very busy, so guess that means very popular. Good value drinks, ideal for pre theatre. Only downside had to climb 2 flights for the ladies toilets 🚻

Unlike most Weitherspoons pubs, this one plays music and shows football on the TV. It's usually packed and it's hard to argue with their incredible prices.

Met a loaf of friends in this pub...very busy but managed to find table...had a good breakie, then on to a few drinks...Great cocktails and shots...good beer selection...reasonably priced pub..for London...well cooked food..

beautiful wetherspoons location, looks like an old cathedral. classic good low cost grub, obviously since it's right next to Liverpool station it's VERY busy, even midday on a Monday.

Probably one of the worst wetherspoons service I’ve ever had delayed, took ages, and my food arrives and got cold before my drinks which i had to get on the counter cause they didn’t serve on the table even though it was all ordered through the app.

Lovely pub! If one want to have a quality ales on tab that’s the place to come. Moderate prices, big selection of beers to choose from all that attracts customer to this place. No music here only the sound of chatting people could be heard. Traditional pub food is served here all day long. Recommend

I must have gone to this place like 10 times or something. Whether it's busy or not, the service is fast and the food is consistent. One of the better Wetherspoons!

He keeps the beer much better than most and manages to have Abbot on consistently better than most Green King pubs

Had an enjoyable breakfast at The Montague Pyke. Managed to order it all through the app without any problems. I went there with three other friends who preferred to go up to the bar and order their breakfasts, again there were no problems. All breakfasts arrived together, the service and food were great. Certainly one of the more unusual Wetherspoon pubs we have visited. Hope to visit again when we are in London to try out their craft bar!
