Das Montague Pyke liegt in einem ehemaligen Clubgebäude. Da ich noch im Marquee-Club Konzerte gesehen habe, wollte ich auch bei meinem diesmaligen Londonbesuch dort einkehren. Leider war die Erfahrung nicht sonderlich. Das bestellte Essen kam erst nach einer langen Wartezeit (die nichts mehr mit der Wait Time, welche in der App angezeigt war, zu tun hatte), war leider auch nicht mehr sonderlich warm und sah, im Gegensatz zum Essen bei anderen Wetherspoon Pubs, auch nicht so sonderlich schön angerichtet aus. Hinzu kam, dass mein Tisch nicht abgeräumt war und leider noch die Hinterlassenschaften des Vornutzers zu finden waren. Die Lautstärke ist schlimmer als zu Konzertzeiten und das Personal kommt dem Ansturm überhaupt nicht mehr hinterher. Danke, wenn schon Wetherspoon in London, dann lieber ins etwas weiter entfernte "Shakespeare's Head". Da ist es ruhiger und aufgeräumter.

A very busy Wetherspoons right in the heart of London. You know what you’re going to get when you go in to any Wetherspoons, all you can really rate is the cleanliness and the service and both of these were perfectly fine in this establishment.

Another Wetherspoons to add to my long list. This is a nice large pub with plenty of tables. And it's in the center of the theater district. All the usual quirks of a Wetherspoons lovely food and good prices even though you are in London and the staff in this one were super friendly as well. A very good place to get a bite to eat before you see a show.

Standard spoons, lots of lager getting drunk early on a Saturday morning

Visited on Friday 26th July in the morning, my purse was stolen. I am a very cautious person, and had my bag close to me and yet the theft still happened. The theft was caught on CCTV and the staff were kind. Apparently this is a regular occurrence. If door security/bouncers could be employed that would ensure the safety of customers.

They mentioned they don’t have ice, what a joke for such a big pub

Had food and drinks, sat up on the balcony very nice atmosphere. Quite a popular location.

A large pub. Always busy so there's not always a table available. The ale selection wasn't great this time.

Spoons. You know what you're getting. Bar staff are quick to serve. Good location with multiple entrances. Plays music!

The most expensive wetherspoons in the world

A quiet whetherspoons tucked away. Being London it's the most expensive whetherspoons I've been too but prices in keeping with the area

I was one in a party of seven but we were fortunate enough to find a table. Most seating was high tables and stools which would be difficult for some people to get onto. The service was good but we did not all receive our meals at the same time. My friends were happy with their food but mine was very disappointing. I ordered a cheese jacket potato and was expecting grated cheese. Instead it was a cheesey gloop and completely inedible. Disappointing as I'd recently a similar meal at a different Wetherspoon that was delicious.

Breakfast was luke warm on day one but gave them the benefit of the doubt. Day two it was cold. Just about edible but never again unless go for cold option! A shame as price was good for central London.

Decent Weatherspoons, cheap and cheerful, we ordered on the app and all of our drinks/food came in good time, staff were pleasant.

14/07/2024 It is a shame England lost. Euro 2024- very nice affordable place to watch the football in central London. You literally can’t go wrong with the Spoons.

I ordered an espresso martini - it was terrible. But I got what I deserved ordering one at a spoons 😀 Other than that - great and cheap for London

Prices are good for deals of meal+drink. Large TV screen has to be replaced.

Why are the all Turkish flags torn? Do you have a problem with Turkey? If you have not, why didn't you replace them ?

Ordered drinks and food place was busy due to England game being on. Staff still served up decent food. But ordered extra egg asked for it three times never got it poor show

Much the same as every other Wetherspoons... but not a bad thing

One of the best chains in London for quality and price, varied menu.

Great spoons. The best place to meet in the West End if you want reasonable prices and a table. Food is bog standard, but much cheaper than other pubs in the area with the same standard of food. Good beer selection and great service from brilliant staff. The only downside is after about 5pm the place is rammed and it's hard to get a table.

The place is very good, there is a pretty good atmosphere, although few people, and the services are small. The food is not that good. The onion rings were not good at all when they cooled, and the peas tasted like literally nothing. But the fish and chips were more or less okay. The fish was quite bland, but not so much with the batter. And the potatoes were good. The only thing that bothered me was that there was no salt or oil on the table, but it was a very good price.

A great place to gather with your friends, interesting memorabilia about the area to view. Food was really nice, didn't have to wait too long, drinks are reasonably priced too with it being a Wetherspoons.

Ordered breakfast food and added chips. 20 mins later food arrives, they forgot the chips.... Told manager. 20 mins later, no chips. Told manager again, 20 mins later chips. Food gone downhill at spoons. Bacon used to be grilled, now it's not. The chips used to be a lot better too.

Great pub. Usual for a spoons. Not very accessible, few seats by the door but not much without steps. No steaks on the menu?!?

Busy pub on Tottenham Court Road. But service was swift and efficient despite being busy... add to that the low prices and hood atmosphere it makes it hard to fault!

Wetherspoons are cheap ‘n cheerful & they are especially great value for money in central London. Plenty of seating at this venue. Nice & peaceful during a weekday, but gets manic during the evenings & weekends. Friendly staff. If your not too sure about an ale, they tend to offer a tasting sample before you purchase.

The worst pub I have ever encountered in England!!! Maybe the selection of alcohol is large, but the food is disgusting and the service is terrible!!!! I RECOMMEND!!!!!!

This was probably the wost place I've been to for lunch ordered an ultimate burger when it arrived burger bun was cold hard burger cold was given a replacement only for the same thing this time burger bun fresh hot top burger warm bottom burger cold not even warm yes I got a refund but attitude from the staff was disgusting kept staring at are table making me and my freind really uncomfortable won't be returning

A typical Witherspoon pub in the centre of London. Good service. Range of food and drinks. Able to get a table without a wait.

Was very busy, managed to order our food and drinks. Was delivered in a decent time. It is very convenient if using the trains.

This was the worst pub experience we had in London. The prices are affordable and the food is decent but the service was awful. We ordered our meal and it came a little longer than we expected but no big deal. My husband and adult son were still hungry so they ordered a couple of appetizers after the meal. After a couple servers came eyeing our table obviously wanting us to leave so someone else could use it we realized we had been waiting over 30 minutes or more for these appetizers. My cousin went to the bar and they said oh we ran out of that appetizer. What about the other one and why would you not come and tell us? After talking to them about it they refunded our appetizers and said they would bring the other one. That came about 15 minutes later! By that time the servers were visibley annoyed we were still there. Well we didn't want to still be there either. There are so many great puns in London but this isn't one of them. Do yourself a favor, walk a few minutes and find any other pub!!

Weathersppons really need to stop serving Britvik tonic - tastes like dirty water

A slightly different Weatherspoons with its large open main room and a balcony section overlooking the middle. Great atmosphere but can get really crowded. Difficult to find seats at times. The service and prices are what you expect from any Weatherspoons, so consistently good.

As soon as I got off the train I went straight into the Montagu Pyke, prices and ambiance good 5/5

Discovered this on our last day in London. Cheapest breakfast found in town at 6 pounds (regular) or 3.99 for a small version. Hot drink at £1.56 with free refill. Large, welcoming place, zero tourists, zero stress from the staff. Top for some quiet time without spending a fortune. Same breakfast elsewhere is £15 and up. Super recommended.

Located in china town London, very crowded wetherspoons. It is very big and has plenty of seating space, but it can be a struggle to get a seat in the evening time during the weekend. Food and service are always good at wetherspoons.

We visited on a Friday night at about 21:30. This was formally a music venue and was the last home of the Marquee Club. The place as busy but there was only a modest wait at the bar. The high ceiling of the main area means it was pretty airy even on a humid evening. Staff friendly. Good atmosphere.

You always to know what to expect at a JD Wetherspoon: basic but clean, cheap pints (£4), busy and clean toilets and this one is no different. Did not order food. Food did not look appetising! Good place to take a break from the hustle and bustle.

Fantastic pub in the center of London with a very good quality/price ratio. The service is spectacular, they are friendly, fast and very professional. Without a doubt one of the best places to visit.

A great Spoons at a great location. However service is much better Monday to Thursday (for obvious reasons). Overall a must visit with very nice and helpful staff.

As you would expect in the middle of London. It was very busy. We had a buggy, which made the finding a suitable seat hard to do. No booths were available. We ended up going near craft beer entrance at the other side. Unfortunately, this means the negotiation of 2 lifts. It would be very inconvenient for a disable user.

Tables very squashed together. Not great if your a large group. Nice pub

I've been to this Wetherspoons a few times now and it's usually ridiculously busy. Once I went there with friends and we left because we couldn't find anywhere to sit. It's in the centre of London so it's to be expected. This time I found somewhere to sit and it was at the back so it was pretty quiet. I only had a can of Monster and some chicken pieces, but it was nice 👍🏽

The Montagu Pyke has unfortunately fallen short on several fronts during my recent visit. The beer was stale, lacking the freshness one would expect. The food was equally disappointing, with a bland and tasteless quality that left much to be desired. To make matters worse, the table we were seated at was dirty, indicating a lack of proper cleaning and maintenance. The staff, while present, were not helpful and seemed indifferent to the issues we raised. Overall, it was a thoroughly disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this pub to others.

5ft 2ish balding Indian “manager” I ordered a drink for my girlfriend via the app and the drink never came. It turns out the waiter most likely gave the drink to the the table next to us. After some time, I went over to the till and showed him order history on the app. He looked up at the screen and goes it has already been served, there’s nothing we can do. I told him we haven’t received it. He then says with an attitude look there’s a drink at the table, I can see it. The drink I ordered wasn’t at my table but there was at the table next to us. I showed him the receipt, which said my table number and that the drink was given to the different table. He then claimed those people were my friends, which they weren’t. I had never seen them before in my life and they were there before us and we didn’t say a word to them the entire time we were there. I told him they aren’t and he would then find something else to argue about like why did I speak to another staff after spoken to him. There was even a staff who after telling me what has happened was asking what drink I ordered. The “manager” then came to us and says “ no I already spoken to him, he’s not getting any drink”. I told him I wouldn’t do all of this over £5 something drink but it’s the principle and the fact that he was talking to me aggressively.

I liked this place it was close to where I needed to be so close to everything

Gastronomic Pleasure with blood cidar

Chain restaurant, where there is no table service. You would have to order via an application that regularly doesn't work, forcing you to go to the counter to order. Good sandwich but nothing special, small size and overcooked meat. They put the sauce aside for you, so you have to make it yourself. In the menu which includes an alcoholic drink, some are not included (it is not specified in the menu, while in other places of the same chain they are included). I asked for water and they gave me a boiling glass with ice in it. The result was that as soon as the glass touched the table it exploded into a thousand pieces.

Always adequate for a quick drink or something cheap to eat. The women's toilets are up about three flights of stairs though.

I had a bad experience, they asked for my ID, I showed several virtual documents because I left my ID at the hotel, at first they gave me 1 beer, then I went to ask for it and they didn't give it to me because I needed a document, I showed them several online and they didn't give me anything and they ruined my my night I saw

Had a bit of an issue with a girl sat behind me that used the F word every 2 minutes but after I told her to keep it down I was able to enjoy my meal which was really quite good.

How many times has this pub chain saved me from hunger while wandering around London. Not frequented by tourists, it is actually an excellent quick refreshment point
