You can try London's best Schnitzel and fish and chips here. It's usually very busy in the evenings. You must make a reservation online. Their beers are also very diverse. A very good break from shopping fatigue on Oxford Street.

The best Mac&Cheese I’ve ever had! I wanted a local pub experience and here it is. Go buy your drink and food at the bar, give them your table # when you order, and they’ll bring you your food when it’s ready! Nice staff :-) Highly recommend!

Very friendly pub with a wide choice of beers and ciders. The place is warm and friendly. It was a football match night so there was an atmosphere! There are quite a few places so it's practical because it's not always easy to find a table in certain London pubs because it's so crowded.

The order was kindly taken, but the food only arrived after a long wait and was lukewarm. When we indicated this when clearing the room, the response was that we should have indicated this earlier. However, we no longer had time for that due to the long waiting time (which we had already indicated while waiting), we no longer received a response when we indicated this. It is also a shift in responsibility, which is a pity. Unfortunately, first and last time.

Great vibes and great food. Get the large fish and chips and it’s plenty for two.

The pub atmosphere is very good and staff are really helpful. However the food is grossly overpriced, portion sizes are tiny and quality of food poor. Disappointing!

Pro: Beautiful pub 🤩 Con: Inattentive staff who spend more time huddled at the end of the bar showing each other videos on their phones than serving customers waiting at the bar or doing toilet checks. The toilets were swimming in water and who knows what else. You could smell them from the entrance. Definite appetite killer

Hands down one of the best pub experiences I’ve ever had. It was Friday night, the place was packed, the music was incredible (Keith O’Reilly!) and the crowd was a great time. We played some jenga and then danced until they shut down. 10/10 would do again.

Not a great pint of Guinness from this place. Not poured properly. The staff were hit and miss. Ordered a southern comfort and the bar tender actually asked me where is it, as he couldn't find it behind the bar which I think is completely baffling from someone who works at a pub behind the bar. Such a big letdown and won't be back. Plenty of better pubs around with far superior service.

Food was fine, the football was visible from every angle on Wednesday this week - a big tick there. But the service. Just awful. And expecting a tip for going to the bar and getting your own drinks is already taking the piss, but the service from each of the people working there was appalling. They spent the whole shift just loudly talking about where they’re going to be renting, literally only bobbing their head to stare at us expecting us to order immediately. No hello, no anything. Orders taken - still no words - then wander off and pop the order somewhere vaguely near where we were, again no words or eye contact. Really weird behaviour. Group of us there all laughed about it at the time, but it felt like a prank. Nope. Just a selection of rude brats who shouldn’t be anywhere near employed. Horrible attitudes, despite all the customers seemingly quite chipper and happy. Shouldn’t have bothered! Nothing was too little effort for this mob behind the bar, especially the blonde female. We’ve all got friends if you need staff - these entitled and rude lot need to give their heads a wobble. And of course because we’re being stared at we naturally tipped. Wish I hadn’t, you all deserved nothing. Not a penny. Here’s a tip for you - give even the smallest effort to talking to us and not just to each other about your uni or rental choices.

Large pub, it has some nights live music or a DJ. A good selection of drinks. It was not particularly busy when we were there. Clean!

In London for the day and decided to try this pub for lunch. My husband went to the bar and ordered lunch and drinks and was met by a miserable looking barman who seemed to not like smiling, making conversation or saying please or thank you! Our meals were well cooked and the fish and chips would probably have been lovely if not absolutely smothered in salt! There are many friendlier pubs in London....

The pub is advertised as open until 1 am on Friday I arrived just after 12 and was told I could only stay 1 0 minutes as they were closing. I did not stay, they closed the pub and I could see the staff remained inside drinking at the bar. This was an old review posted originally a while ago and updated recently to include more details . There is one green man on Berwick st and maybe we just came on a day where the staff wanted an early night off

We went after arriving from the flight quite tired, the truth is that it surprised us. The prices were somewhat expensive but the burgers were delicious, good meat and quite large. All of them accompanied with potatoes. Regarding the service, it is practically non-existent, you have to go order at the bar (I don't understand how they don't serve at the table with the price they charge).

We stopped here last week , the pub itself is nice . Service wasn’t great, I waited to order food and the girl just walked off and didn’t come back then to be told I’m in the wrong place but they were taking orders there previously. The food had a bit of a wait which we didn’t mind but when it arrived it looked like a five year old had slung it on . The salad looked like what was left at the bottom of the fridge and dry . My mums scampi was undercooked ( not sure how you can manage that ) . But apart from the pub looked nice and was comfortable that’s where it ended .

Amazing pub, with a view of a TV, no matter where you sit. If sport is what you're after, this is the place to go.

It’s a shell of its former self since it seems to be under new management. The fish and chips were bland and there were mice running all over the floor. A sighting outside can be acceptable (I mean it’s a big city) but to have a handful run in and out of the kitchen… visibly …

Didn't eat. Watched euros game in a packed bar. Staff were amazing considering how busy they were. Chain pub menu and drinks great variety, something for everyone.

Paid a £100 deposit for a table for 4 on the Euro final night. The place was so packed that we were completely surrounded by people who kept walking in, literally touching our backs and blocking our views to the TV. It took us 20 minutes to get through the crowd for just a beer. Food wasn't available as the staff simply couldn't handle the flow. There was no way we could spend that £100 deposit.

I asked the waiter Alex about the mouse I saw in the restaurant and he told me "they live here" (in a derogatory way), but the other waiter was very gentle.

Came here mid-shopping trip for my 50th birthday, lovely welcome, gorgeous pub, lovely loos and the barman bought me a birthday G&T! TV's showing sports. Didn't eat so can't comment on that, but I'd definitely recommend this place and will come back! Thank you! Xx

🚇 Oxford Circus 🍺 £7.20 Paulaner A Soho Pub For All Occasions. The Green Man is located just off Oxford Street at the northern end of Soho. The nearest Tube is Oxford Street, it’s a few minutes walk to get here. The pub sits on Berwick Street which is where Oasis shot their album cover for What’s The Story Morning Glory. Berwick Street was also known as The Golden Mile of Vinyl due to the amount of independent record shops that were once located here. The original pub on this site was built in 1738. The pub you see today was built in 1895 and is Grade II listed. From the outside you can see that the pub is two buildings joined together, the building to the right was incorporated in 1998. This is a deceptively large pub that was refurbished at the back end of 2023. The decor here is traditional with lots of dark wood, exposed brick and dark green walls. The servery is located on the right hand side and stretches down the length of the bar. There is plenty of seating throughout with a mix of traditional tables and chairs, posers and stools and long dimpled banquettes. One of my favourite features is a section dedicated to the music shops of the area. There are also multiple TV screens dotted around the pub. The beer selection was pretty impressive with a choice of eight cask ales, two ciders and a range of London craft. I opted for a pint of Paulaner, my pint was tickety boo, price point was a little punchy. There is a hearty food menu available with a good variety of dishes, Fish & Chips costs £18. I visited on a Wednesday afternoon just before the post work rush. The pub was quiet with a few punters in taking a bit of time out. The team here were great, the assistant manager was kind enough to show me around pub. The pub hosts live music and shows live Premier League, Champions League and all major sporting events. First order of chicken was so overcooked, could not chew it, replaced with fish and chips (my choice) was much better. Prices were expensive for a chain pub, had same meal in O'Neals £4 cheaper

One of the best pub when you are at central london to have some beer and watch your favourite game. Very vibrant and this place has one of the best snacks to serve along with beer.

Fantastic service and night out watching the Champions League with friends. Staff are very welcoming and friendly, and do their best to accommodate guests. Will definitely be returning again very soon.

We booked a section of the pub for a retirement party for a much-loved colleague, and the manager Ryan and the rest of the staff helped to make it a really special evening for her. We wanted to show photos and play video messages on the TV screen in our section, and they were very helpful in accommodating our requests and making it all possible. The buffet food was great too. All in all, a top night at a great pub.

Nicholson's, whilst a chain, is a reliably decent one, and The Green Man is no exception. 10 handpumps (all on when I was there, 10 different cask ales & 2 cask ciders) and no fewer then 26 keg taps (with some duplicates but still!) I'd have given it 5⭐ overall but for the huge sports screens everywhere. Nicholson's food has always been pretty decent pub grub in my experience but I haven't eaten at this particular one.

Stunning place to enjoy a cold pintli of camden hells. The experience at this place is remarkable and super friendly. The Green Man invites you to install Linux in your head with your friends and family. Place to be when you're at the happy place of the world.

I rate this place high for the music and the ambience and also location! However the staff could be kinder :) Their four shots for 12pounds is a must try. Not too many vegetarian options though...

J'ai du aller chercher la serveuse pour qu'elle puisse finir de nettoyer. Comme vous le voyez sur la photo, la portion de frites est très petite vu le prix. Point positif, le personnel est sympathique. J'espère que vous arriverez à vous améliorer.

We were at this pub twice during our stay in London and we enjoyed being there! the food was excellent (hamburgers for us), very nice atmosphere and the singers were very good especially the one of Saturday night (06/01/24) just amazing! I highly recommend this place, will definitely come back!
