I had booked a dinner reservation for my husbands birthday for the 21st July, 2024. However since then the restaurant has cancelled my booking last month but has provided no refund. I spent £330 and have been left out of pocket. Their number on their website is also not going through. Please can you contact me immediately and give me my money back.

I have a reservation for 2 persons on May 9th, 17.00. But on April 8th i received a call that they have desided to close the restaurant, so they would refound my prepaid 390 punds within 14 days. Now its nearly a month ago they called me, i have been calling Them, writtingy on mail, Instagram and through OpenTable where i booked the table and paid for the experience. I don’t know if i am the only one that hasn’t received the payment back? But can you please transfer my money back !!

I was absolutely astounded at the quality of the food. What was most amazing was how seamlessly they coped with varying dietary requirements- everything was done to match the main idea as closely as possibly. The staff were incredibly thorough - they had contacted me in advance to query a very minor detail. Not sure my favourite course…. Mushroom for flavour but dessert for presentation I think!!! Strongly recommend not eating all day though…l 10 v small courses was still incredibly filling! The theming was clever and not too overdone, although I was surprised that we were seemingly the only people at the table with the first clue about the DC universe. My only tiny niggle was ordering cocktails before hand in that it was not possible to make any variations of the cocktails - in these days of non alcoholic spirits it ought to be possible to do taste-identical non alcoholic versions, or some less sweet/fizzy mocktails. I’d also suggest serving the drinks with Chucky in much smaller glasses - you don’t want a lot given the amount of food/drink to come but they felt a little in-generous in the size of glasses used! Also even having been I can’t visualise where all the different restaurant areas are… any chance of a floodplain on the website?

I visited in December 22, I booked the Monarch Theatre for a corporate event for my company and thought it was amazing. For this reason I booked this, as a Christmas present, for my 3 adult children and their partners for Saturday 20th January. It was difficult to get a date that worked for them all and once I found this, I booked and paid in full at the beginning of December. At the end of last week I received a phone call to say my booking was being cancelled as the Monarch Theatre had received a better booking, the whole venue being booked for the day, so there was not even the option to change the time. As I was out with a poor phone signal, I asked if they could send me an email to let me know what my options would be. I received no email so I called them and spoke to somebody who was very unhelpful. They basically said that they will either refund or can book another date. I asked if they would offer anything to make up for the inconvenience/ disappointment. I was told they would not, despite my son having a non-refundable hotel booked for that night. I think it is really poor that should I have cancelled the booking, I would have lost the entire cost of over £800 but they can just cancel and offer nothing. I am now stuck with not being able to find a date that everybody can do until later in the year, my son is stuck with a hotel booking that he no longer needs and 5 days before Christmas, I no longer have what I thought was a great Christmas present.

Absolutely magical from start to finish. You don’t have to be a Batman mega fan to appreciate. Enter through a secret door, get your soul read by Chuckles the clown and then get served ten beautiful courses all themed around Batman characters. Every details had been thought out so well and planned to a tee to make the whole experience feel like a dreamworld. You were truly transported somewhere else. The food was absolutely sublime. Every course was unique, tasty and the table, cutlery and walls all matched what ended up on the palette. Service and narration was incredible. We would highly recommend this immersive dining experience.

We booked months in advance for a 21st birthday for the set menu experience, paying almost £800 up front. We then went on to book trains and a hotel, ready for our booked and paid for date. Then, about a month before we received a phone call to say they had decided to change opening dates and would not be open so we should reschedule. We explained that we were only in London for that date, for a special birthday, and with it being so far in advance that we had booked (and paid), as advised on their website to “book early to avoid disappointment”, was there any way they could honour the booking for our party. They could not, but promised a return visit for free, due to the amount we had spent on trains and hotel. This was then changed in the next phone call to a return visit for two people, rather than all four of us, with details to be emailed. This email never arrived, and my email to express disappointment was never even acknowledged. They appeared to say things on the telephone, but not then honour or follow them up. It wasn’t that we were after a freebie - but it should never have been mentioned if it wasn’t actually going to be honoured. My gripe was the fact that they chose to close on a date that they had had a four person booking for, paid for months and months in advance, and no attempt at an alternative within the hotel. Had we lived locally we would have happily swapped to another date, but with over £1000 in non-refundable trains and hotels, it was just really really disappointing to have our meal cancelled, leaving us in London on a Sunday evening, for a special birthday, and no Batman meal! We loved the concept and saved up for the experience but were left very disappointed. I would advise booking with caution if you are not flexible with dates, as they may cancel on you if they decide not to honour your booked date. A real shame.

Absolutely mind blowing experience. We hired out the theatre exclusively for our team and it was just incredible. Something we're considering for client experiences and personally will be taking my partner for a celebration with friends soon. Really recommend. Make sure you're hungry!

Me and my Wife attended the Monarch Theatre for our first wedding anniversary and we were absolutely blown away with this incredible experience. The service, the atmosphere, the story telling and of course the food and drink were all 10/10, easily being some of the best food I have ever eaten, The less you know about what happens the more you will enjoy it, I really cannot recommend this enough!

The Monarch theatre experience itself was amazing. The service, food and atmosphere all surpassed already high expectations. The poor experience began as we left the theatre at the end of the meal for drinks in Park Row. It's like you step into a different universe where service no longer matters! We wanted to end our evening with some cocktails and by listening to the band. We were ushered to an area away from the main hall, hidden behind a secondary bar. You can't see the band and there is almost zero chance of getting a waiter! We ended up ordering at the bar (last in line behind all the diners) and then had to hunt someone down to pay the bill. It spoiled an otherwise fabulous evening. We went from VIP's to undesirables as soon as we exited the Monarch!

Wow wow wow WOW! I have been in many Michlin stars restaurants but I must say, this was one level above! This is a very unique experience that everyone should try. It was very interesting to show during the food and the food itself was also very tasty! We all enjoyed it so much and didn't want it to finish. Highly recommended!

I took my other half to this as he is a big batman fan for his B'day. if you don't like Batman its okay as the details are subtle. the food was really good, not amazing but definitely good. I would recommend this place to anyone, as it is more than just dinner, its an experience. I felt full at the end and the service was excellent. This place is quite expensive at 195 pp but well worth it. you dine with 20 others buy its very much private. it was definitely a dinner i was excited about throughout the whole evening. You are served an 11 course meal with matching wine the host, not sure of his name but he was great. my other half enjoyed this a lot. Would have given a 5 if the restaurant offered a halal version, but only offered vegetarian.

Our biggest interest is to travel round the world and try great restaurants. Normally we use TA but this time we found The Monarch Theatre via TikTok and we’re happy we did - cause this one hits different! ⭐️ Words can’t really describe how great this experience is, but let me put one into it - EUPHORIA. With a great storyteller (Tom), many surprises, with technology which lifts the story, and food which is far way better than many Michelin restaurants this is a delivery way beyond expected. My five stars on TA are very rare, but if I could give six, I would. Thanks for a memory for life! 🫶🏼

When I booked this, I was thinking that the food would be so so, and the extravaganza would be what would make this a meal to remember… … in fact it’s the food that was the star of the show. Whilst everything was Gotham City / DC comic themed, and all the food was presented amazingly, the said which character inspired the dish and then played some psychedelic display on large tvs behind each diner. However, the food! Wowsers. Certainly wasn’t expecting that! Whilst it was all very decadent, flamboyant and artistic, it was also Devine. Oxtail lollipops and crab cones, gold leaf on caviar and crab, mushroom pate dressed as a toy mushroom, duck broth martini, short rib that you “inject” your own sauce, nitrous coconut and mango, passion fruit soufflé. It all sounds luxurious. And it was. But delivered by a classically trained chef with pure imagination. This is really an epic adventure and highly recommend

Me and my mum visited the monarch theatre on the 4th November for my 30th birthday and it was incredible. The service, the food and the ambience was perfect, mum and I felt like royalty! We arrived early was sat in the Iceberg lounge were we had some cocktails, loved the theatricals of the cocktail ‘the blue boy’ but my favourite was ‘coffee crazy’ I think these were the names! We received complementary drinks and nitro freeze popcorn! Then it was time for the monarch theatre our narrator for the evening was the lovely Tom who took us through the DC world of hero’s and villains flawlessly:) the food and drink parings were spot on would highly recommend, you will not be disappointed 😊

My husband and I visited for our wedding anniversary and what can I say the food was amazing the dinner theatre was fantastic have to give a big shout out to our host Tom made the night special for all with his very detailed narration and his great sense of humour his voice was hypnotic The screens all round the table made the experience all that more immersive the themed dishes were so beautifully set and hats off the the chef for a picky eater such as myself he made some absolutely amazing dishes We have already recommended to our friends and will be returning again well done to all the waiting staff aswell who work tirelessly to make sure the dishes were out on time and set perfectly

My wife and I joined some friends. We weren’t sure what to expect as it was very expensive but it was awesome. Our narrator, Tom, was great and guided us through the evening. There were around 10 courses with wine and each one was delicious. My only criticism was the wine was a little sparse, could have been more generous.
